Age UK is currently recruiting for a Head of Finance Operations on a part-time, permanent basis. This is a great senior-level opportunity at Age UK and is a critical role within the charity. Please note the salary banding advertised is FTE (35 hours per week).
The purpose of the Head of Finance Operations role is to lead, manage, coordinate, and develop Age UK's treasury operations, income and cash management, accounts receivable and accounts payable.
Our aim is to bring control of the quality and provision of Finance Operations throughout the charity. This is an exciting opening for a commercially astute, experienced, Finance Operations professional.
The successful candidate will take the lead on all Finance Operations protecting Age UK's financial assets through robust financial controls and processes, ensuring GDPR compliance. We are looking for this role to oversee our treasury operations, accounts receivable, accounts payable, year-end and management accounts.
As Head of Finance Operations, you will manage key relationships to include retail operations, banking, and investment management, ensuring all needs are met. You will oversee all accounts receivable activities including the review of aged debtors and the creation of bad debt provision where necessary. You will also handle all accounts payable activities and support year-end preparation of statutory accounts and monthly management accounts.
This role will suit a proactive candidate with Treasury and Finance operations experience in a similar sized, complex organisation.
This is a hybrid opportunity, a blend of homebased and office working. Our linked office for this role is in London and you would be expected to attend the office around once a month for team days and more often if necessary.
The salary will be pro-rated for part-time hours. Full time at Age UK, constitutes as 35 hours per week. This position is 21 hours per week across 3 days. Wednesday afternoon is mandatory however we can be flexible on the other days/hours.

The Head of Fundraising & Communication is responsible for the generation of funds for Kintsugi Hope by a variety of income streams and for ensuring the Kintsugi Hope brand and services are marketed throughout the UK. Our Brand and Marketing team is looking for a creative and enthusiastic individual to join us as a Campaign Lead (50th Anniversary) as a 2-year fixed-term contract.
In 2026, The King’s Trust reaches an exciting milestone, celebrating 50 years of supporting young people. You will lead the delivery of our 50th Anniversary Campaign, leading on a range of exciting initiatives that will help us raise awareness of The Trust and our work, reach new audiences, generate income from fundraising initiatives and steward and thank our King’s Trust communities as we look forward to the next 50 years and our focus on supporting young people into work.
Working with a range of internal and external agencies and stakeholders, our 50th Anniversary Campaign will require exceptional project management and communication skills to deliver a cross-organisational campaign, as well as a robust understanding of the marketing mix to bring our messaging and new visual identity to life across initiatives in a milestone year for The Trust

What the job involves
The Policy and Health Influencing teams are responsible for using clinical data and evidence to shape what the organisation thinks and to develop solutions that drive change for men with and at risk of prostate cancer. This means working with clinicians, patients and stakeholders to interpret the latest changes in prostate cancer research, care, support and treatment which will help shape our strategic direction and activities.
As the Health Improvement Coordinator, you're key to supporting these teams. You'll have a varied and far-reaching portfolio of work and sometimes arranging important stakeholder events and meetings ensuring we're hearing from people who've been through prostate cancer themselves. You'll also help share our work on social media and capturing the outcomes of our external engagement.
In this role you’ll assist us in keeping track of and evaluating our progress in line with our organisational strategy, as well as keeping an eye on trends in the wider cancer and health landscape and reporting on them. Plus, you'll handle budget matters and make sure we have effective budget monitoring mechanisms in place.
What we want from you
We’re looking for a Coordinator who is highly organised, an effective communicator and know how to adapt and effectively prioritise your time. You’ll have excellent coordination skills and can organise others too (especially teams which are based across the UK) and have experience of creating and updating forward planners, project schedules and streamlining team processes. You’ll be able to comfortably engage with senior managers and a breadth of external senior level stakeholders. Regularly taking the initiative to drive improvements so that the teams you support can operate efficiently.
With skills in collecting and utilising data to monitor, trend, and report on activity, you're proactive in acting on the results. You’ll have some experience or interest in working in the health or volunteer sector. You’re also quick to learn and capable at picking up new systems including those for budget management and products’ fulfilment.

Background to School Food Matters
School Food Matters (SFM) exists to teach children about food and to improve children’s access to healthy, sustainable food during their time at school. We provide fully funded food education programmes to schools. Our experience delivering these programmes informs and strengthens our campaigns, bringing the voices of children, parents and teachers to government policy.
Job Purpose
· To deliver an exciting, new programme implementing a whole school approach (WSA) to food nurseries, primaries, secondaries and SEN schools in Southwark.
Key Tasks include:
- Support Project Coordinator to group schools and nurseries using a RAG rating, based on level of support required to achieve a WSA to food
· Recruit schools to take part in the programme
· Build relationships with teachers, teaching assistants, cooks and senior leaders in schools to improve the food they offer their students
· Support schools to complete school food action plans and polices
- Support with the development of resources and training packages for schools
· Deliver role-specific training to key staff in schools (training provided if necessary)
· Deliver in-person engagement sessions and online workshops to support schools to achieve their action plans
· Collect data and maintain accurate records on Airtable relating to the programme
- Work closely with our Impact & Strategy Manager and Evaluation Officer to complete all monitoring and evaluation
- Gather content for our website and social media platforms
- Keep line manager updated on progress
· Keep up to date with safeguarding requirements and reporting procedures
- Contribute to the smooth-running of SFM at this time of growth
- Maintain the ethos of the charity and positively promote our work at all times
· The Project Officer will also undertake any other tasks relevant to the affairs of SFM that may arise from time to time. Therefore, being flexible and approaching the job with an open and positive mindset is essential!

· Excellent administrative and organisational skills with great attention to detail
· Experience of building relationships with partner organisations and individuals
· Comfortable engaging with variety of audiences (students, school staff and parents), incl. writing and responding to email, conducting telephone, virtual and face to face meetings, and running workshops
· Ability to work in a team, and seek help when needed
· Excellent IT skills including excel, word and email
· An interest in food education and children’s health.
