Capital Project Manager – St George the Martyr, Bloomsbury
Salary: £50,000 p.a.
Contract: Fixed term to May 2027 (potential to extend)
Location: Hybrid – based at St George the Martyr, Queen Square, 3 days per week
Hours: Full-time (35 hours/week)

St George the Martyr, is an architecturally significant Grade II* listed church in Bloomsbury and an important part of London's Georgian and Victorian Heritage. We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Capital Project Manager to lead the Development Stage of a major conservation and improvement project funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of one of London’s most important historic churches and play a key role in its restoration and renewal.
About the Role
As a Client Project Manager, you will play a key role in the delivery of our vision for the future of St George the Martyr, including saving the church, classed as Heritage at Risk, and creating a welcoming, active and inclusive church that engages people traditionally under-served by heritage. You will be responsible for managing and coordinating all areas of the PCC’s activity in the Development Stage of the capital project, supporting a team of specialist consultants and the Design Team. Working closely with the Rector and Project Board, you will lead the internal and external project team, ensuring the Client’s interests are represented throughout.
About You
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and managing all aspects of the capital project on behalf of the client.
- Coordinating and procuring the multi-disciplinary project team and consultants.
- Managing the project budget, reporting to funders, and ensuring compliance with funding agreements.
- Acting as the key liaison with stakeholders, funders, and the Project Board.
- Overseeing design development, procurement, risk, and programme delivery.
You will need:
- Strong project management skills, ideally with a recognised qualification (e.g., APM, RICS, PRINCE2).
- Experience delivering multi-million-pound, heritage-focused capital projects.
- Understanding of heritage and faith sectors, particularly Church of England contexts.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills.
- A strong commitment to inclusion and community involvement.

About the project
The proposed service Kineara aims to provide is a Community-Based Housing Advice and Support Service for lone parents living in TA (Temporary Accommodation) and to provide a prevented service that advice and support lone parents living in PRS and social rented accommodation, where their tenancies is insecure.
This service will address urgent housing concerns, provide essential advice, and offer tailored, intensive support for those with complex needs. The project will focus on delivering maximum reach through our outreach while maintaining smaller 1:1 caseload for high-needs cases.
About the role
We are looking for an experienced, motivated and compassionate community -based housing advice and support worker. This role involves conducting community drop- in surgeries which will be delivered across Lambeth Schools, Children’s Centres, Community Groups, GP practices and
Housing Advice Surgeries offering face-to-face housing advice, legal support (where necessary), and signposting to additional service.
You will have experience of working with families and individuals with complex needs. In this role, you will be working in partnership with community organisations and the council to coordinate tailored support for each client to address their housing issues. To be successful in this role, you will be a motivated, flexible individual, who is passionate about working with young people around their sexual health. The postholder will conduct outreach, education, and training in several settings depending on the need of different young people. These could be educational settings, youth settings, community events, sports settings, clubs and pubs. You will target vulnerable young people, such as Looked after Children (LAC), those who are Not in Education, Employment, or Training (NEET), those who come from areas of high deprivation and high need, and those with other increased risk factors, as well as young people aged 13-15 who are not yet able to access online services.
As part of your frontline work, you will encourage young people to sign up for a C-card, and if aged over 16, register to Get It in order to order condoms and lube from the website. When appropriate, you will refer young people into appropriate local sexual health services for contraception, emergency contraception, pregnancy testing, STI screening and treatment.
Programme
METRO work closely with our partner Spectra to deliver sexual health services in the London Boroughs of Wandsworth, Richmond, Merton and Kingston. In these Boroughs, METRO deliver the Come Correct free condom scheme (C-card), the National Chlamydia Screening Programme (NCSP) as well as Get It, an online scheme which offers condoms, lube, Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea screens.
METRO also delivers training and education, aimed at both young people and professionals working with young people, as well as community outreach and engagement to reach young people directly- particularly those who are most vulnerable to sexual ill health.

Your Roles and Responsibilities, but Not Limited To:

- Secure funding and increase unrestricted income streams to support on-going programme delivery and sustainability of the department.
- Oversee the implementation of a robust, high-quality data capture process to ensure the department can evidence impact and social value of its programmes through a variety of methods such as reports, case studies, testimonies, media articles, and feedback surveys.
You Must Have:
- Significant experience of line managing, leading and developing staff and volunteers creating a strong team culture and inclusive working environment.
- Success in building relationships both internally and externally, working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.
- Proven experience of working at management / leadership level.
- Experienced in project management, ability to prioritise and manage multiple workstreams and completing priorities.
- Sound experience of setting and managing budgets.
- Proven track record of securing funding for projects or initiatives including local, regional and national funders through partnership work and / or bid writing.
- Ability to identify trends and analyse data to inform decision making.
- An experience of leading, and commitment to, equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) and safeguarding.
- A level 3 (‘A’ Level or equivalent) qualification or higher in a health-related subject, or other relevant subject area.
- A full and valid UK Driving Licence, as well as access to a vehicle for work.
- Influential communicator with a range of audiences, and the ability to use a range of different mediums, with written skills to an excellent standard.
- Ability to work calmly under pressure, meet deadlines and have an attention to detail.
- Excellent negotiation, interpersonal and relationship management skills to build and maintain strong professional relationships and connect with partners priorities.
- Ability to work collaboratively and flexibly as part of a team with differing views and needs.
- Have a flexible approach to work and be able to work unsociable hours (including some evenings and weekends).
You Ideally Would Have:
- Knowledge and understanding of the health priorities across Hertfordshire and Harrow.
- Experience of putting together service level agreements/contracts for project partners.
- Experience of using IT systems to monitor and evaluate the delivery of services.
- Experience of event management.
- Valid Emergency Aid and Safeguarding children and vulnerable adults’ certificates (or willing to complete these prior to commencing in the role).
- Minimum Level 3 Personal Trainer Qualification and GP referral Qualification.
- Educated to Degree Level - Health and Fitness Related.

Key Responsibilities:

Facilitate and support engaging events, manage our corporate membership scheme, develop, and produce compelling communications to inspire support. Ideal candidates are proactive, team-oriented, and possess strong communication skills.
The Corporate Partnerships Officer will play a crucial role in supporting the Corporate Partnerships Manager and the wider Fundraising Team helping to secure income and support from both existing corporate members and prospective businesses across our three counties. This position is integral to the Trust's ambitious plans to expand corporate funding over the coming years. You will help to nurture new and existing relationships with local businesses and strive to grow corporate income for the charity.
In this role, you will take an active part in developing and facilitating a range of events and activities designed to engage local businesses with the Trust's mission and work. Your responsibilities will include the administration of our corporate membership scheme, ensuring the accurate recording of income and information, and maintaining our internal database to the highest standards. You will also be responsible for producing high-quality and compelling communications to raise the profile of the charity and inspire current and prospective members.
While experience in fundraising, sales, or relationship management is beneficial, we are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic individual with excellent communication and customer service skills and a collaborative, team-oriented attitude.

This role will predominantly be working from our Day Centre but will also include work with night shelter clients.
Within the Day Centre you will be required to provide advice and advocacy and casework to people who are homeless and at risk of homelessness and maintain a caseload of clients working within a fast paced and dynamic small team. You will support the smooth running of the day centre provision and have a commitment to supporting vulnerable clients in a person-centred way.
To be successful in this role will require a keen interest in homelessness and the devastating impact this can have on people. This role is suited to someone with a problem solving, positive attitude, who is passionate about supporting marginalised people.

As a committed, motivated, and outgoing individual, you will support sexual health education and prevention as part of the Integrated Sexual health Service (ISHS) in Hertfordshire. You will provide interventions in sexual health in outreach locations across the county. Sexual health sessions will take place in groups as well as in a 1:1 capacity, and will require you to focus on providing information about sexual health to those who are vulnerable or at risk, encouraging service users to complete a chlamydia and gonorrhoea screen, and register to the free condom scheme.
