Job Purpose
The postholder will be responsible for two key organisational areas:
- Practice Education to an allocation of student social workers: 80% of workload
- Support with induction planning and administrative tasks relevant to the student placement programme: 20% of workload
The postholder will be responsible for providing student social workers with effective, high-quality supervision and support throughout their practice placements and maintaining accurate records of student work undertaken to inform holistic assessments of students’ practice. This role will entail stakeholder engagement both with internal leaders and external partners. The role will involve maintaining close working relationships and crossover workstreams with the Business Support Team, Health & Safety systems, and compliance responsibilities.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
• Student Social Work Placements:
• Maintain relationships with key placement providers through provision of high-quality practice education,
• Practice Educate placements for their entirety at the charity,
• Write reports relating to the above.
• Support a continual and iterative induction process with support when inducting students to all relevant systems – utilising experts across the organisation to deliver elements of the package,
• Work in partnership with Business Support to implement appropriate systems relating to e-learning and hand over to line management during induction,
• Support the arranging of accounts, in partnership with the Business Support Team to enable new users access to the organisation’s systems.

Job Summary
Community Mental Health Transformation is part of a long-term plan to improve mental health services. Gaddum has been commissioned to support the facilitation of mental health lived experience in Community Mental Health Transformation in Manchester.
This role will ensure Lived Experience is a crucial partner in the collaborative approach, which will enable more responsive and accessible services. The collaborative includes Greater Manchester Mental Health Trust, NHS Greater Manchester Integrated Care, leaders from local Voluntary and Community Sector organisations, Primary Care, Public Health.
Job Purpose
To lead and coordinate initiatives that amplify the voices of individuals with lived experience by embedding co-production principles into program delivery. The role aims to create inclusive opportunities for meaningful involvement, ensuring equal representation, capacity-building, and the removal of participation barriers.
Through collaboration with stakeholders and partners, this position supports the development, supervision, and recognition of lived experience representatives, fostering their contributions to service transformation while building pathways for their continued personal and professional growth. Additionally, the role ensures effective Lived Experience Coordinator – Manchester December 2024 communication, reporting, and evaluation to share insights, measure impact, and support service improvement efforts.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
• Reestablish a Lived Experience group, reviewing potential membership gaps and forward steps.
• Ensure the underpinning principles of coproduction are embedded with balance of professionals and lived experience representation.
• Attend the Transformation Group and other key meetings attached to the programme.
• To support Lived Experience representatives to lead on ethnographic story collection across the programme.
• Develop unpaid Peer development opportunities with Lived Experience representatives, providing Peer supervision.
• Identify and, wherever possible, remove barriers to panel member participation including but not limited to travel, childcare, carer responsibilities and translation costs.
• Ensure Lived Experience Representatives receive inductions and training suitable for their level of engagement.
• Coordinate regular meetings and events via a hybrid approach of face-to-face and virtual

Youth Participation Lead
£27,000 to £34,800 plus great benefits (Work Level 6B)
Remote, in this role you’ll work from home but will be required to come into our Manchester office every 6 weeks and travel to facilitate residentials with young people and members of our team up to four times a year. This role will include some evening and weekend work.
You’ll be required to complete a DBS check once you start in role.

Age UK Mid Mersey are offering a great opportunity to join our professional, innovative and dedicated team to help launch a new lottery funded Maintenance Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (MCST) programme in Mid Mersey’s four boroughs: Halton, Knowsley, St Helens and Warrington.
Maintenance Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (MCST) is a weekly group programme for people living with mild to moderate dementia or cognitive impairment.
Group members take part in meaningful and stimulating activities, proven to help maintain memory and mental functioning. The groups provide a fun, supportive environment where people can build new friendships.
Activities include:
- discussions
- word games
- quizzes
- physical activities
- creative and musical activities.
Cognitive Stimulation is the only non-drug treatment recommended to improve cognition, independence and well-being by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE).
Alongside the MCST group sessions the programme will also provide advice, information and facilitated peer support for the carers of groups members.
The MCST Team Leader will lead a small team of MCST group facilitators, Carer Support workers and volunteers.
The Team Leader will plan programmes, provide support and supervision to staff, and ensure compliance with relevant guidelines and standards. They will be responsible for undertaking initial assessment visits with clients in their own homes to ensure the MCST programme is appropriate for them.
Travel across Mid-Mersey is expected so the post holder must have access to their own vehicle and a full clean driving licence.

Greater Manchester’s Co-Occurring Conditions project is centred on those who have concurrent mental health and substance use challenges.

To support the development of lived experience engagement within the co-occurring conditions workstream. You will support people with lived experience to attend and contribute to design and testing session of services and systems.

Role description
The Head of Social Value (HoSV) is HACT’s specialist subject matter expert on social value and impact measurement. The post holder will be able to clearly explain what social value means and have knowledge of a range of impact measurement methodologies and how they can be applied in different contexts.
The HoSV will ensure that HACT maintains its position at the forefront of social value and impact measurement thinking, constantly identifying areas for innovation and development. The post holder will also build and strengthen relationships with customers by providing quality social value consultancy, training and research.
The HoSV will have regular contact with HACTs strategic partner, SImetrica-Jacobs, ensuring there is 2-way dialogue based on market intelligence, understanding competitors and any other feedback which will positively support HACTs position in the social value space.
Working at the cutting edge of how social impact measurement is used within the built environment, the post holder will have an enthusiasm to lead new thinking and the ability to be flexible, adaptable and to thrive on the challenge of working in a developing area and work closely with the Head of Services and Head of Customer to develop the product map.
The HoSV will be the ‘go to’ person within HACT for social value and will represent HACT as an expert in this field in the sector.
Responsibilities
• Be the subject matter expert for social value and impact measurement at HACT, providing guidance and expertise internally to HACT colleagues and externally to customers. This will involve leading on the development of guidance materials for implementing HACT’s Social Value Banks and measurement methodology and practice notes.
• Deliver social value services to customers at the right level of quality, ensuring customer needs are met.

• Identify business development opportunities for social value services within the housing sector, built environment and beyond.

Twenty-year old Sophie Lancaster was murdered in a hate crime attack in 2007, because of her distinctive gothic appearance. The Sophie Lancaster Foundation is looking for an Education and Engagement Manager to bring our inspiring message of tolerance and respect to a wider audience.
The Foundation was established to challenge prejudice and intolerance - particularly that targeted at people from alternative subcultures and celebrates difference within our society. The Role
As our Education and Engagement Manager, you will:

Working as part of Signpost Stockport for Carers’ team to provide high quality support to unpaid carers. Working in partnership with Age UK Stockport’s Hospital Discharge Support team to contribute to, and in close collaboration with, the NHS Integrated Care Business staff team and other partners and stakeholders within the system.
To work positively to provide appropriate services to the unpaid carers of those Stockport residents who are being discharged from Hospital. The role is focused on working with carers, within their homes or other setting(s) that is appropriate and convenient for the carer, to ensure that they have the information and support they need when the person for whom they care is discharged, not only in that moment but for up to six weeks following that discharge.
The Hospital Discharge Community Carer Support Worker will need to demonstrate alignment with our organisation’s values:
CONNECTION – This person must be able to build relationships with a variety of people, including service users, stakeholders and staff. This is a key role in a small and busy team and this person must be willing to share with, and learn from, colleagues offering peer support and training, and cover for other staff on an occasional basis.
COMPASSION – To have an understanding of the issues faced by those with a caring responsibility and how this may impact the carer’s ability to engage with the process.
EMPOWERMENT – To recognise the role of the carers assessment review in facilitating change and celebrating what the carer is doing well.

Key tasks
To work as part of the team to deliver meaningful carer and service outcomes, within the remit of the contract specifications and requirements and current Hospital Discharge policy, as updated from time to time.
The key aspects of the role, include:
• To deliver statutory Carer’s Assessments as directed by the Signpost Carer’s Assessments Team Manager
• To provide targeted support for carers, helping them to overcome challenges, forge links with support services as appropriate and help them prevent their cared-for person being readmitted to hospital
Responsibilities
• Working with carers to identify and access the support, social and learning opportunities available to them online and face-to-face and use this to develop support and contingency plans
• To ensure that Stockport’s adult carers receive a comprehensive, informed, tailored and consistent service with regards to all that is available to support them in their role, in an appropriate and accessible way.
• To work as an effective team member, sharing skills and supporting colleagues
• To ensure that statutory responsibilities of this role are met on a day-to-day basis, including GDPR, safeguarding and health and safety
• To prioritise own workload, working closely and positively with the Team Lead/s to ensure the smooth and effective delivery of the Service.
• Collect and record information and data and to undertake monitoring, and evaluation as required to support required reporting
• Contribute to the requirement to maintain comprehensive information, knowledge, and intelligence in respect of carers information and support needs following a discharge from hospital.
• Liaise positively, with the statutory, private and voluntary sector as associated with the service. Understand the current issues and requirements generally and specifically regarding hospital discharge.
• Assist with maintaining appropriate administrative systems and records to ensure a quality and effective operational service.
• Gather and collate statistical and other information and data as and when required and contribute to regular reporting on outcomes, statistics, and case studies
• Undertake Carer Experience Reviews / Feedback Reviews
• Assist with the effective promotion of the Service through voluntary and community sector networks, health and social care services and other services as required.
• Attend and participate in relevant conferences, meetings and training events or other meetings as required in line with the scope of the role.

About Trauma Treatment International
Trauma Treatment International (TTI) is a registered charity in the UK. Our focus and expertise is in providing evidence-based psychological treatment and support to survivors of collective violence*, internationally. We provide direct psychological assessment, formulations and treatment to survivors of torture, trafficking, slavery and war, and organisational support (organisational reviews, training, reflective practice and consultation) to human rights organisations that share our aims (of reducing collective violence and/ or support people affected by collective violence) to mitigate the impact of trauma exposure on the workforce, and assist in sustaining the important work they undertake.
TTI was founded in 2017 and has grown significantly in the last few years. With an increase in people affected by torture, trafficking and slavery, persecution, war and other forms of collective violence, efficient, evidence-based and effective trauma-informed responses are critical in mitigating the cycle of violence and contributing to more peaceful societies. TTI is borderless, working remotely to ensure that we can meet need, wherever it is in the world.

How much time will I need to give?
We like to develop sustainable relationships with consistent, skilled and reliable associates who we know well. As a small charity, our need for input from our associates will change dynamically based on funding and projects we are undertaking. This means that whilst at times we might have a low need for input from you, at other times we might request more.
We understand that our Specialist Associates will likely have other work and life-demands that mean that what they can offer may also change over time. We make sure that we have regular contact so that our Clinical Lead understands what your time commitment is and can maximise your skills, interests and availability (whether this is a few hours a year, a month or a week) to match our needs as an organisation.
