Education Officer
This is an exciting opportunity for an Education Officer to coordinate and deliver the Depaul Education programme.

About the Role
Working with the guidance and support of the National Education Programme Manager and the wider Prevention Team, you will be responsible for coordinating and delivering the Depaul Education programme in a range of settings, including schools, colleges and Pupil Referral Units across Milton Keynes. The programme aims to prevent youth homelessness by running bold and creative workshops on the subject for large groups of young people, as well as more intensive sessions with smaller groups on related issues such as healthy relationships and conflict management. It also includes training teachers and professionals working with young people on homelessness.
You will be responsible for building long-term relationships with educational institutions to support their young people. This will include selling the programme and meeting specific delivery targets. You will also play a key role in monitoring and evaluating our work to ensure it has the highest impact possible.
Key responsibilities include:
- Effectively lead and coordinate the Depaul education programme in your region.
- Deliver the programme’s workshops to children and young people aged 11-18 in a variety of education and youth settings, including facilitating assemblies, classroom-based workshops and small group work, as well as delivering sessions virtually if required.
- Design and prepare engaging, innovative and high-quality resources and workshops that are integrated with the national curriculum and differentiated to meet the needs of children and young people with complex needs.
- Work collaboratively with the wider national team to periodically review and update the programme content, based on feedback and in line with developments in the sector.
- Take responsibility for, with full support, building strong partnerships with educational institutions in your region, including marketing the programme, generating income and meeting identified targets.
- Build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders (including other agencies and statutory teams) to promote the programme and develop clear referral routes for young people into other services.
- Be responsible for the timely and accurate recording of all activities and keeping the database up-to-date, overseeing the monitoring and evaluation procedures in your base region.
- Keep up-to-date with current issues affecting young people in your region and ensure the programme is tailored to the specific needs and context of the area you are responsible for. This may include designing bespoke projects within the parameters of our programme and quality standards, if appropriate.
About You
You will need to have the following skills and experience:
- Excellent ability to work productively with children and young people: skilled at building rapport, managing behaviour and addressing difficult topics appropriately.
- Confident to deliver engaging presentations, workshops and training to large groups of children, young people and adults, both in-person and virtually.
- Experience of designing and developing high-quality and innovative educational resources, lesson plans and workshops for children and young people in line with the national curriculum and other statutory guidance.
- Strong relationship management skills, able to build constructive partnerships with a range of professionals, influence senior figures and effectively explain the impact of our work.
- Working knowledge of target-driven environments, marketing and generating income; remaining motivated and using innovative approaches to solve problems and sell our work, ensuring we reach as many young people as possible.
- Demonstrable interest in the issues and challenges that face children and young people growing up in the UK. A knowledge of themes including homelessness, healthy relationships and risk-taking is desirable.

Look Ahead is looking for a highly motivated and committed Housing & Income Officer for an initial 6-month placement to work alongside our support workers and deliver a good quality intensive housing management service to our customers.
The successful applicant will be responsible for all aspects of housing management within the service. This will include rent arrears management, occupancy agreement management, ASB management, void management and some compliance and repair reporting responsibilities. This is not an exclusive list.

What you'll do:
* Sign up new customers to the appropriate occupancy agreement and ensure housing benefit claims submitted and maintained correctly.
* Be responsible for monitoring and updating all relevant information on Look Ahead`s housing management database including inputting all new customers and ending occupancy agreements in a timely way.
* Proactively monitor rent accounts and take timely and effective action to deal with increasing rent and service charge arrears.
* Ensure all customers are supported to have the most appropriate payment method (rent payment cards, direct debit etc.) for their individual circumstances to ensure easy payment of their rent and/or arrears.
* Lead on making back-dated claims for housing benefit and appealing over-payment deductions.
* Ensure that all customers are kept informed of their rent account status regularly and that action plans are agreed with customers to address any arrears or other rent related issues promptly.
* Issuing arrears warning letters, monitor payment agreements and escalate arrears enforcement action.

Our three Communities Teams are responsible for identifying, investigating and intervening in housing and homelessness practice issues. We engage with our local communities to understand the issues people are facing and apply expert housing knowledge, insight and analysis to identify solutions to them. As well as providing advice and advocacy for individuals, we also use our insight, relationships and influence to drive systemic change, always ensuring that Lived experience is at the heart of everything we do.
About the role
You’ll be responsible for delivering high quality housing advice, advocacy and casework to clients in community settings and remotely in line with local pressing issues, and managing others in this. You will develop relationships within the sector to gather evidence and insights into the impact of the housing emergency, and using those insights to drive systems change. You will lead on the development and delivery of a programme of capacity building, ensuring other organisations have the skills to act on housing rights. Influencing a range of stakeholders and decision makers across the housing sector will be important too.
You will act as a leader within the project and the wider Communities Team to help deliver and evidence our strategy at an operational level. We will count on you to line manage, supervise, coach and mentor a housing rights worker.
About you
To succeed, you’ll need to have experience of working with, and influencing, a range of internal and external stakeholders and enjoy collaborating with people from other teams and organisations. You’ll also need great time management skills, an enthusiasm for delivering workshops and presentations and a willingness to challenge practice and hold people to account. About the Role
Camden Kaleidoscope, located in London, is an innovative, specialist-supported accommodation service focusing on mental health and complex needs. As a Service Manager you will lead a dedicated team to provide trauma-informed mental health support to young people between ages 16-24, an understanding and/or experience of trauma-informed practice would be advantageous. Service Delivery

We are looking someone who will thrive in a varied and innovative role as a Project Worker in the Adult and Family Learning team working across our centres in Govan and Maryhill (Glasgow) with frequent travel Craigmillar (Edinburgh). As a Project Worker you will deliver the programme and support the Adult and Family Learning Manager to plan and develop activities tailored according to and with an understanding of the different communities in which it will be offered. Working with colleagues based at the three centres, you will provide a range of activities which will support parents and carers to support their children in their learning, develop their own skills and knowledge around employment and education, and provide a range of family learning activities to engage the whole family together.

Some out-of-hours work will be required from time to time. This is a new project and the team will be developing programmes for parents and carers, which may result, for example, in some workshops running during the evening for a set of period of time (with a later start on the day of the workshop).
Programme delivery staff are based at one of our IntoUniversity learning centres and work directly with young people and families on a regular basis. It is therefore not a hybrid role and is based full-time in our centres.

£27,400 per annum

One of the IntoUniversity centres in Glasgow, with frequent travel between Glasgow and Edinburgh for this role.

Development Officer

As Development Officer, the main part of the role will involve assisting the new Business Manager with appraisal of development opportunities across ISHA’s core and key working boroughs to meet the organisations business development growth. This will comprise review of potential projects and communication with multiple agencies to include Landowners, Estate Agents, and developers as well as internal and external stakeholders like local authorities plus our regulator and funding body, the Greater London Authority. The role also requires working closely with the development team both Delivery and Sales to the agreed development programme to achieve handover and completion.
In addition to the above, there are other aspects of the role you will be required to undertake and involve reporting and monitoring of defects and latent defects across our projects to ensure these are resolved to a satisfactory conclusion and outcome, whilst ensuring excellent customer services are delivered in line with ISHA’s core values. You will also help the team to take on the role of raising Purchase Orders and processing departmental invoices for payment to our approved suppliers within the agreed timeframe.
