Mary’s Meals serves nutritious school meals to children living in some of the world’s poorest countries. The promise of a meal attracts these hungry children into the classroom, giving them the energy to learn and hope for a better future.
The Head of Marketing will grow support for Mary’s Meals in the UK through bold and innovative mass marketing activities, to attract new supporters, develop relationships with existing supporters, drive fundraising and to ensure the values of the organisation are upheld in all communications activities.
Particularly skilled in digital marketing, you will be dynamic, data-led and able to generate significant growth across our marketing channels.
Key duties include:
- Direct line management of the Marketing team, offering day-to-day support and ensuring their ongoing development.
- Work in tandem with the Head of Media and Content to ensure an integrated and collaborative approach to all communications activities.
- Develop and implement Mary’s Meals’ marketing strategy in the UK, linking ongoing progress to key organisational KPIs, with a strong emphasis on digital communications.
- Work closely with the Data Insights team to ensure strong joint working on technical solutions and insights across digital systems such as the website and Salesforce.
- Lead the development and implementation of innovative marketing activities (including the use of new channels) to retain existing supporters and identify creative ways to acquire new audiences.
- Manage the UK website, working closely with colleagues in the international digital team to ensure the site is functioning well, generating traffic and income, and attracting new supporters to our work.
- Lead SEO strategy including team utilisation of SEMrush and being an advocate for AI within this space.
- Lead our approach to segmented communications for email marketing and direct mail, developing our supporter journeys and ensuring an ongoing testing and learning approach is in place.
- Working closely with Data Insights where required, lead the tracking and analysis of marketing data, to identify key trends, opportunities and areas for development.
- Oversee campaigns including the creation of campaign plans, execution and delivery and campaign evaluation.
- Drive fundraising and supporter acquisition through the use of digital advertising channels, such as Meta and Google.
- Grow fundraising through the online Mary’s Meals shop, through the diversifying of our product range and improved experience for our supporters.
- Oversee the Mary’s Meals UK social media channels.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporter care and ideally have prior experience in a donor support role or experience in customer service, administration as well as data entry. You will be looking for 37.5 hours a week and have the ability to work flexibly including some evenings and weekends to support at our charity or donor events.
Main duties of the job
This is an integral role which aspires to give our supporters the best possible experience on their fundraising journey with the aim of building long term relationships. The role will take a lead on Supporter Care with all donors for the charity team, acting as a helpful and knowledgeable “front-line face” for patients, families, staff and volunteers.
Key duties:
- Manage the start and end of the stewardship journey for all donors and fundraisers by dealing with all enquiries through email, post or phone or face to face at the office ensuring that we meet the best standards of donor care
- Manage post and charity office filing system and the banking and thanking process
- Maintain relationships through regular contact with donors throughout their fundraising journey offering any support or guidance needed to maximise their giving
- Act as a dynamic presence, leading and recruiting volunteers, community groups and small companies to organise fundraisers for our charity
- Build fantastic connections with patients, NHS staff, volunteers and our wider community to recruit new donors, fundraisers, volunteers and charity champions
- Support in growing the number of supporters playing the hospital lottery and those giving through our hospital ‘giving plaques
- Support all fundraising activity and represent the charity at events
- Manage and maintain the CRM system (donorfy) which includes entering all donor data including financial transactions and communications
- Send updates to supporters to retain and increase life-time value and reactivate lapsed donors
- Send donation reports to the charity team
- Make suggestions on how to improve supporter care and implement these ideas
- To recruit and manage office based volunteers

The British Museum seeks a Supporter Data Assistant to contribute to its mission of offering an exceptional supporter-centric experience. The role is integral to maintaining and enhancing supporter relationships by assisting in key strategic tasks related to data management, gift processing, and e-communications. Reporting to the Supporter Data and Insight Officer, the assistant will coordinate data projects, manage event nominations, support internal working groups, ensure accurate gift entry, and uphold GDPR compliance.
The candidate should possess excellent interpersonal and data skills, thrive in collaborative settings, and actively contribute to supporter engagement initiatives. Additionally, duties include training new staff, preparing mailing lists and supporter credits, and participating in Museum events, sometimes outside regular hours.
Key areas of responsibility:
- Under the guidance of the Supporter Data and Insight Officer, to assist with the coordination of supporter data projects co-ordinate nominations for Museum event guest lists for members of the fundraising teams and other departments.
- To provide support to the Database Officer Email and Insight with projects relating to e-communications; support with building emails and cleaning data.
- To assist in the Advancement Operations Supporter Experience working group.
- To assist where appropriate and collaborate with other teams to ensure supporters receive the best possible supporter journey and experience with the Museum.
- To provide support with gift entry ensuring that gifts and pledges are entered onto the Raiser's Edge using the correct fund codes to ensure accurate reporting of a total fundraising income.
- Supporting the management of gift documentation.
- To assist in keeping the Advancement Engagement plan up to date, including keeping track of critical data deadlines required.
- To assist with the collection of insights, under the guidance of the Supporter Data and Insight Officer and Database Officer, Email and Insight.
- Be responsible for checking and supporting the collating of large sets of data.
- Play an active role at evening and breakfast events outside of working hours (time off in lieu will be given).
About you:
- Educated to A-Level or equivalent.
- Highly IT literate including Microsoft products such as Excel, and preferably with knowledge of CRM databases such as Raiser's Edge.
- Experience working at a charity or not for profit organisation, or in a creative industry.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively.
- Experience working proactively and methodically while managing your workload and deadlines.
- Excellent creative and problem-solving skills, with a calm and patient approach to explain research matters to others.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team, and to work out of hours (time off in lieu will be given).

Butterfly Service is looking for a part time (21 hours) Family Support Worker to work in our Butterfly service. The post is to cover Maternity leave up to August 2025.
For the past 19 years, the Butterfly service has provided family support to children and young people with life-limiting conditions and their families who are living in the city of Nottingham and Nottinghamshire areas. We work closely with hospital and community medical teams and take a holistic approach to meeting the needs of the child/young person and promoting the well-being and resilience of the whole family.
The aim of the Butterfly Service is to deliver a high level of practical and emotional support to the child/young person, their siblings, and their parents/carers.
Specific Responsibilities/Additional essential criteria of the Family Support Worker post
• You will be able to work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team - with colleagues, managers and other professionals to help provide high quality, bespoke support to families
• Through experience of engagement and participation from service users, you will be able to assess, monitor and review families support requirements.
• You will be able to provide support to individuals in their family home and within the community, offering practical help and advice along the child's/young person's journey in partnership with a wide range of medical professionals.

The Butterfly Service provides support to children and young people with a life limiting condition and their parents, carers and siblings in the community. As a member of this small but friendly team, you will provide support from when a child receives a prognosis that they are life limited, through stages of transition or periods of crisis, and post bereavement, to enable children, young people and families to make choices, access appropriate mainstream services and be able to cope with challenges and changes as the child progresses along the palliative care pathway.

Job title: Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Hours: 37.5 per week. Flexibility will be considered working a minimum of 30 hours per week / 0.9 full time equivalent. Salary and pay will be adjusted accordingly.
Work pattern: 5 days per week. The majority of hours will be worked during office hours Monday to Friday, however Winchester Science Centre offers a 7 day a week experience with events on several evenings per week. To best support the team there will be occasional work, meetings and events in evenings, early mornings and at weekends which will be compensated by time off in lieu.
Salary: £60,000-£70,000 per annum depending on experience (pro rata if working fewer than 37.5 hours per week)

The Charity runs Winchester Science Centre - a vibrant, hands-on experience for young children. Promising an exciting day out for families, with curriculum-linked trips for schools and an evening events programme, the Science Centre welcomes over 170,000 visitors every year. The Role

This is a key period of growth for our Charity, with the delivery of our new strategy and exciting capital and activity Masterplan in the pipeline. This will be the single largest development in our 38 year history, whereby we are investing over £6m in further expanding our base of operations in driving further financial resilience and reducing risks to the charity. The growth will enable our Charity to maximise its social impact: empowering thousands of children to develop the science skills and nature agency to act on the climate and biodiversity crises.
This newly-created role will play a vital part in enabling and shaping the very exciting future of Wonderseekers.
The post-holder will lead all of our of Charity operations at Winchester Science Centre including;
- Visitor experiences (including customer services, exhibition, retail and catering)
- Events (for families and adult audiences)
- Curiosity (education, planetarium, and live science engagement)
- Marketing
Working alongside the Chief Financial Officer, the post-holder will deputise for our CEO from time to time representing the charity to external stakeholders and partners.
The Chief Operations Officer (COO) will be a commercially astute and visitor focused operational leader who possesses an entrepreneurial spirit. Through their inspirational, values-based, and collaborative approach, they will always look for new opportunities to innovate and drive growth.
The post holder will bring their wealth of experience as an operational leader with a proven track record within a large visitor attraction to provide expert knowledge to lead a large and diverse team to success.
The COO will be an integral part of the SLT to support business planning by translating the vision, goals, and strategy for the Charity into operational and business plans. They will demonstrate strong financial leadership helping to provide best value and deliver on agreed targets.
Key accountabilities
- Delivery of Commercial Objectives – Drive the commercial performance of our visitor centre, growing revenue whilst managing costs.
- Strategic development - As a member of the leadership team, the COO will play a key role in supporting the CEO with the strategic development of the Charity, bringing a commercial and operational mindset. The COO will attend Board meetings and other Trustee committees.
Main responsibilities
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the commercial operations team to enhance business performance and standards whilst driving efficiency
- Deliver effective, empowering and engaging operational leadership across a large and diverse team of over 80 people
- Lead on the commercial operational strategy and translate strategy into actionable steps for growth and increased impact
- With the CFO manage all aspects of commercial operational risk including reporting and monitoring
- Manage and deliver transformational change through a period of significant growth
- Closely manage income and expenditure targets for a turnover of over £3.5m ensuring best value is delivered for the Charity.
- Represent the Charity at various offsite meetings including public speaking
- Collaborate with the senior leadership team to set and drive organisational vision and support the strategic direction of the Charity
- Ensure that the commercial operations teams activities are aligned to the Charity’s sustainability strategy and plans

About the role:
We are looking to appoint a Kentown Family Support Worker to deliver a high-quality family support service as part of the pilot Kentown Children’s Palliative Care Programme, in collaboration with Kentown Wizard and Together for Short Lives.
Reporting to the Kentown Project Lead out of our Lancaster team base and working in partnership with health, education and social care professionals, you will take responsibility for providing needs-led emotional, social and practical support to families where a child/young person has a life threatening or terminal illness.

In this role you will be working in Specialist Together Trust settings.
You will draw on knowledge and expertise in neurodiversity and work closely with settings that support learners with autism and social communication differences. You will work with pupils with significant social and emotional needs and the teams around them, using trauma-informed practice. You will support the needs of learners with complex learning and developmental needs, and you will have opportunities to work in other settings on externally commissioned projects across the region, including work in mainstream and community settings.
You will work in a variety of ways through training, problem-solving and collaborative consultation and advice and support to teachers, parents/carers, SENCOs, the wider community, as well as children and young people. You will be able to build relationships with those you support, take a reflective approach and work in cycles of ‘assess, plan, do review’ to achieve the best outcomes for children and young people. You will use psychological assessment and produce reports to contribute to an understanding of a child’s needs and work in collaboration with others to develop shared and person-centred plans of support.
You will be supported by and will support a small team of Educational Psychologists and Assistant Psychologists using formal and informal supervision, and you will be able to shape and contribute to the development of a service that is inclusive and celebratory of the experiences of the thoughts and ideas people bring. Opportunities for professional development and project development with universities as well as participation in charity and community focussed activity will be supported.
