Summary of the role:
As the Philanthropy Manager, you will oversee the development of existing high-net-worth (HNW) donors and cultivate new high-net-worth prospects. You will work closely with key Third Party supporters to establish our presence nationally. A key part of your role will be to strategise to identify new high-net-worth donors and create long-term relationships, ensuring that Muslim Aid becomes their charity of choice. You will also collaborate closely with fundraising and supporter services to organise tactical, innovative, bespoke, and strategic events that meet the needs of high-net-worth donors and maximise major gifts like no other.
About the Role:
- Develop a three-year high-net donor strategy with stakeholders that drives long-term sustainable revenue and year on year growth.
- Develop short-, medium- and long-term strategies to maintain engagement, retention and increase revenue with existing and prospective donors that supports our organisational strategy.
- Design and evaluate business plans to maximise return on investment and drive continuous improvements.
- Develop a full Philanthropy & Legacy system to review fundraising forecasts, review progress and implement quarterly tactical activation plans to recover potential losses.
- Develop and manage annual philanthropy budgets and KPI’s in line with 5-year strategy.
- Be a Brand ambassador ensuring that all external engagements align with the organisation’s values and messaging.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Significant experience in fundraising, corporate relationship and/or high-net donor development.
- Proven track record in implementing corporate / business / high-net donor strategy and achieving challenging targets.
- Knowledge of a wide range of fundraising mechanisms including CRM, sponsorship, brand association and employee fundraising.
- Building and managing stakeholder networks.
- Ability to work within a team structure as well as independently, be creative, take initiative, be attentive to detail and possess excellent interpersonal communication skills.

About the role
The Natural History Museum is seeking a proactive and self-starting, ambitious, driven, creative and forward-thinking Internal Communications Manager to support its 1100 members of staff, across three sites. This role is responsible for developing and overseeing the delivery of the Museum’s internal communications strategy.
You will relish seeking out (and prioritising!) the vast amounts of news within the organisation – creating engaging content that resonates with colleagues. Main responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation to develop and deliver impactful and engaging campaigns into the political sphere with a view to seeing policy and practice changes that will benefit Embrace’s partners and the communities they serve.
- Project manage the delivery of Embrace’s advocacy campaigns strategy for justice and inclusion in the Middle East.

Key Responsibilities
To work closely with the Evidence & Advocacy Manager (EAM) to develop and implement a series of impactful evidence and research projects that support our advocacy messaging, as well as internal and external learning for inclusive programmes and advisory work. These projects will build on established workstreams alongside developing new ones to maintain and extend CBM UK’s evidence base.
Disability Evidence, Policy Research and Learning
With EAM support the ongoing CBM UK Research and Evidence workstream, through:
1. Translating evidence from our programming countries and projects to produce and contribute to a range of resources to influence FCDO and other stakeholders. Tasks to include managing and maintaining established outputs, such as the CBM UK Project Evidence Briefs and Disability Voices paper series, generating new thematic papers, as well as policy and position papers to enhance effective advocacy submissions, briefing notes, blogs and other messaging on key disability rights issues.
2. Working collaboratively within CBM UK and across CBM Global to help develop and to deliver new policy research, drawing on mixed methods and data sources including national and international databases, using qualitative approaches including participatory or citizen generated data, and new empirical work.
3. Supporting Programme staff to improve impact and learning practice in CBM UK funded projects, provide technical support for the implementation of programme related research and data collection, including MEAL.
4. Providing technical research support into the development of proposals for new grant funded projects, and, where successful, support the management of subsequent research projects.
5. Keeping abreast of new research and publications on key themes and priority concerns within the CBM UK Advocacy and Influencing Strategy, taking into consideration sector trends and developments, and ensure this is disseminated to relevant staff within the CBM UK Team.
6. Keeping watch on UK policy environment and conducting research and analysis to support CBM UK advocacy messaging on disability and human rights.
Dissemination and Communications
1. Maintaining and developing internal knowledge management systems for research and information on disability inclusion and rights, and related areas, to be used by Advocacy, Programmes and Fundraising & Communications teams.
2. Ensuring communication plans are developed with CBM UK and Global Federation colleagues for CBM UK evidence outputs.
3. Maintaining the Advocacy and Influencing pages of the CBM UK website ensuring rights-based communication and focus to support CBM UK and Global campaigns.
4. Liaison with Fundraising & Communications colleagues to amplify media stories, case studies and compelling evidence from country programming for advocacy purposes.
5. Participation in and building good relationships with UK-based disability and development networks, including relevant research networks and membership of the BOND Disability and Development Group.
6. Supporting the professional publication and printing of CBM UK outputs, for dissemination at advocacy engagements and public events.
Other
1. Work with other CBM UK teams to maximise cross fertilisation opportunities and integrated working.
2. Help develop a culture of enthusiasm and success, reflecting the ambitions of CBM. Play an active role across CBM, promoting positive working and innovation. Ensure that the values of CBM UK are understood by external partners and always reflected in communications.
3. Identify opportunities to initiate and contribute to new initiatives and events, both within CBM UK and externally.

We are looking for an experienced programme manager to oversee the Democracy Classroom network. The post holder will be responsible for managing relationships with stakeholders across the youth, education and democracy sectors and lead on a series of democratic and election education initiatives to engage young people.

We support young people to use their voice by providing them with outstanding democratic education. We work with young people, teachers and politicians to help them to learn, teach and engage in politics. We are a non-partisan organisation working across the UK.
ABOUT DEMOCRACY CLASSROOM
Democracy Classroom is a partnership between over 100 civil society organisations that supports young people to engage in elections and democracy. The network supports collaboration through newsletters, training, meet up’s and an annual conference, as well as providing resources and training for teachers and youth practitioners. Democracy Classroom pools the collective support of the sector through the Democracy Classroom platform, where teachers and youth workers can access the collective support of the membership.
Following the recent General Election, the network has experienced growth and is now preparing to support upcoming elections, votes at 16 and new developments such as changes to democratic education and the curriculum review. The network is non-partisan and works across all 4 nations in the UK.
The aims of the network include:
Increasing the number of young people engaging with democracy and elections.
Increasing the number of teachers and youth workers delivering democratic education, and strengthening their capacity to deliver impactful democratic engagement and voter registration activities in schools, colleges and youth settings across the UK.
Improving coordination between organisations engaging young people across the youth, education and democracy sectors, through growing the Democracy Classroom network.
ABOUT THE ROLE
To achieve the above, the post holder will:
- Support, build and manage relationships with over 100 civil society partner organisations.
- Manage the day-to-day running of the network, including the network's communications and databases.
- Coordinate the sharing of learning materials, working with teachers and youth workers to organise, map and curate content that supports democratic and election education.
- Oversee the Democracy Classroom website / platform.
- Train and support teachers and youth workers to deliver democratic education materials.
- Oversee our #ElectionCountdown programme during UK local, devolved and national elections and the associated comms campaigns.
- Line manage the Democracy Classroom programme coordinator and manage relationships with freelance teachers, youth workers and designers.
- Oversee evaluation and monitoring, producing reports where required.
The job is a fixed term 12-month contract (including a 6-month probation period), with possible extension depending on the electoral calendar.
The Politics Project is based in London, and the post holder will be expected to work from the office at least two days a week. The hours of work are 37.5 hrs per week. Occasional travel to elsewhere in the UK and working unsocial hours in evenings and at weekends may be required. This is a fast-paced role in a small but growing team.

Purpose of Role
This Senior Portfolio Manager will play a key role in the success of the team responsible for Comic Relief’s funding programme focused on tackling the effects of poverty.
The Senior Portfolio Manager will hold direct responsibility for a number of investments with Funded Partners, both in the UK and internationally, ensuring excellent grant making practice, and be responsible for managing funding calls. The Senior Portfolio Manager will also work with colleagues from the Partnerships and Fundraising teams to assist with the mobilization of resources.
Working with the Head of Programme, the postholder will provide management support in the team, working with colleagues on specific team initiatives and cross-team collaborations, holding relationships with strategic importance, developing new areas of work, and other specific initiatives contributing to the team’s overall operational success.
Key responsibilities:
Management support
Manage specific cross-team collaborations, taking on link roles with other teams as required, including the development and delivery of fundraising and income partnerships and campaigns.
Lead, contribute to and/or coordinate the development of proposals and plans, including the start-up phase of new projects and partnerships.
Take responsibility for higher profile or more complex funded partner relationships/fundraising initiatives / partnerships.
Contribute to the team’s portfolio management, budget management, and operational functioning, including the development and use of funding team’s processes, systems and policies.
Funding management and relationships
Manage assigned funding portfolios and relationships with funded partners, ensuring that the portfolio is managed in a timely and responsive way, using Comic Relief’s (CR’s) systems and processes.
Coordinate with other funding team colleagues, including supporting other funding programmes when needed.
Manage all requirements, such as narrative, financial and risk reporting, collaborating across the funding team and wider Comic Relief as appropriate.
Work with the Assurance and Finance teams to ensure ongoing compliance across the portfolio with legal requirements, our grant conditions, reporting requirements and best practice.
Ensure or contribute to donor reporting and other information needs for external and internal use, such as information about our funded work and our partners.
Cross team/organization/sector collaboration
Support the development of resource mobilisation partnerships through collaborative and supportive working with Comic Relief’s communications, fundraising and partnership teams.
Work with the Partnerships Team to support strong relationships with existing and potential co-funding partners, including corporates and/or trusts, foundations and institutions, and support proposal development, reporting and other requirements.
Work collaboratively across CR to support storytelling around CR’s impact.
Contribute to internal communications regarding the work of the Effects of Poverty team and the wider Funding Team.
Represent CR with strategic partners and co-funders, in relevant networks, and at external events.
General
Develop a basic understanding of all areas of social change that are prioritised by CR.
Manage the work of consultants and other contractors as required.
Communicate in an open, honest and transparent way with funding applicants, funded partners and funding partners.
Ensure that, when applicable, people with lived or learned experience are actively engaged with our work, contributing to the design and decision-making process of our funding portfolios.
Embed effective ways of working that contribute to the de-colonization of philanthropy.

Essential criteria
Experience of working closely with funded partners and donors for social change.
Significant knowledge and experience of grant making, programme design, and managing large or complex grants within a donor or an implementing organization working in the UK or internationally.
A good understanding of developing, implementing and evaluating programmes.
Self-motivated and enthusiastic, with flexibility to navigate the unexpected, be aware of wider strategic contexts, and make appropriate and effective decisions.

The Role
One in three young people are growing up below the poverty line in Barnsley, leading to physical and mental health struggles, and significantly higher numbers of hospital admissions as a result. This new Youth Zone will transform the lives of thousands of young people for the better, and needs a Senior Philanthropy Manager to engage and inspire donors to support this unique, life-changing space. The role of Sporting Events Manager offers an exciting oportunity to lead on the strategy and delivery of the charity’s flagship walking event, March for Men, which raises c.£450k. A key focus will be with a key focus on co-creating and delivering a robust marketing plan.
As Sporting Events Manager, you will:
- Support the Assistant Head of Events & Community Fundraising to generate income through their Sporting Events programme of walking, running and cycling activities. The income for the events team is c.£3.3m, with expenditure of c.£1.1m.
- Lead on strategy and delivery of PCUK’s flagship walking event, March for Men, which raises c.£450k. You will project manage the event, co-creating and managing the recruitment marketing plan, delivering the supporter journey to drive participant value and working with an external delivery partners
- Work closely with the Black Healthy Equity Team to increase representation across PCUK’s activity portfolio, with a focus on March for Men to ensure it’s a diverse and inclusive event

We are looking for a new member to join our legacy and in-memory team, within its Individual Giving department. This role will help to manage and test legacy marketing campaigns with the aim to grow the size of the charity’s legacy Enquirer and Considerer base using various channels such as social media, direct mail and telemarketing. This role will also work on recruiting enquiries about the charity’s Pet Promise scheme and recruit new in-memory and tribute fund supporters. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, able to deliver campaigns on time and within budget.
