You will need to work closely with the board of trustees and the Senior Leadership team to ensure Allsorts continues to grow and evolve whilst mindful of the ever changing political & economic landscape.

Whilst there is no specific requirement for the successful candidate to identify as LGBT, it is absolutely critical that candidates have an excellent understanding of the challenges faced by LGBT people.

Our office is a short walk from King’s Cross station in London. For this role, we need someone to come into the office at least one day a week, on a Tuesday. A day where all of Income Generation come into the office. You can work remotely for the rest of the time. Equally, you may prefer to work from the office full-time. We encourage all colleagues to visit member hospices to help inform our work and you may be able to work from there.
Contractually this role is London-based.
Contract: Permanent, either part time of 4 days (28 hours) per week or full time (35 hours per week) options available.

We are also looking for someone who can help grow and manage our LinkedIn page, by creating engaging and impactful content. You will need to have good knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office and CRM systems, along with a solid understanding of virtual meeting platforms for online events (e.g. Teams, Zoom).
The successful candidate will be supporting us with client management, so strong communication and organisational skills are important to help manage multiple corporate accounts.
The Team:
We are a team of three that sit within the wider Income Generation and Grants directorate. The Compassionate Employers team includes the Compassionate Employers Programme Lead, Corporate Development Manager and the Compassionate Employers Executive.
The Compassionate Employers programme and this role sit within our Corporate Development Team, within Income Generation and Grants. Compassionate Employers is a key part of Hospice UK’s Income Generation strategy.
Our Corporate Development Team works closely within and across the department. The focus in the team is on building partnerships with businesses, through commercial activity, fundraising or strategic support. Current corporate partnerships include several ‘charity of the year’ relationships, conferences and events, sponsorship, cause-related marketing partnerships, a supplier directory and a jobs board. As well as driving positive change for people affected by terminal illness and bereavement in the workplace, Compassionate Employers is an important income generation stream and ‘door-opener’ for Hospice UK.

I will lead the team to ensure Rethink CARES is embedded in the service and in the delivery of the service to ensure a positive working culture is maintained.

Specific responsibilities
An applicant appointed to the role will be expected to:
- Write compelling funding pitches for projects or fundraising campaigns.
- Represent CSE at external events to promote our work, support horizon scanning and identify future partners for the fundraising team to work with.
- Maintain accurate and up to date fundraising content on website, all other CSE communications channels and third-party platforms.
- Support the running of online and in-person events to raise awareness of CSE’s work with key stakeholders and potential funders.
- Steward current individual supporters, building engagement through a supporter journey.
- Develop campaigns and appeals to engage with new audiences and encourage new supporters.
- Ensure all income and donations are processed, and acknowledged appropriately, including using systems for accurately managing supporter data.
- Research Trusts and Foundations to identify prospects with objectives which align with CSE’s strategic goals. Collate this information in an appropriate, accessible format.
- Develop creative ways of presenting CSE to engage corporate partners leading to mutually beneficial relationships with social purpose.
- Write content for sections of bids.

The Role
What will I be doing?
- Provide key support to the Governance, Audit & Risk Manager on the IOP’s governance programme, including the organisation of Council Meetings and Core Governance Committee meetings, and the distribution of agendas and papers on the IOP’s Board Portal
- Be a key point of contact for the IOP’s Trustees and Committee Members, providing support and maintaining trustee information
- Support with the IOP’s annual Council Elections and AGM
- Support with the smooth running of the Group Internal Audit Programme
- Support the Compliance & Data Protection Manager with managing compliance with key policies and procedures.
Projects you work on may include:
- Quarterly Council and Committee Meetings, including one Council meeting held elsewhere in the UK
- Preparation or the IOP’s Annual Council Elections Process, whereby new trustees are elected by the IOP membership each year
- Helping with the IOP’s Annual General Meeting, including the preparation of the member notice and voting materials and ensuring the event runs smoothly on the day
- Five Internal Audits per year, determined by the Group Audit & Risk Committee

Role overview
The Development Officer role focuses on securing support from a broad base of alumni and other supporters. This entails securing both one-off and regular donations and promoting Pembroke’s programme of legacy giving. The post-holder reports to the Development Manager and works closely with that role to identify those alumni with the capacity and propensity to give more over time.

This main purpose of this role is to lead on initiatives within CSE's fuel poverty and energy advice work, ensuring effective delivery is aligned with CSE’s strategic objectives. Pay and conditions
- The role is full-time (37.5 hours per week).

Specific responsibilities
An applicant appointed to the role will be expected to:
- To contribute significant expertise in fuel poverty support services, energy advice and energy saving interventions to other CSE projects.
- To manage projects with strategic importance within CSE’s work delivering advice on energy and fuel poverty support to a range of householders and liaise with, and report to project partners and funders on a timely basis.
- All projects are delivered in an effective, timely and resource efficient manner, and in accordance with the needs and priorities of both fuel poverty stakeholders and partners and the needs of clients and funders.
- Effective learning processes and practices are embedded in project development and delivery cycles; we are clear and honest about our strengths and weaknesses; and that key evidence is shared and used to inform the development and prioritisation of future projects.
- Work with the Director of HES to develop the organisation’s business plan for the year ahead, forecasting staffing needs and helping to establish the yearly budget for the team.
- To oversee key aspects of delivery in the HES advice portfolio, including project monitoring and evaluation and supporting senior staff in their work.
- To lead the development of new project proposals, contributing realistic methods and accurate costing forecasts (including staff time and direct costs) and bringing project partners on board where necessary.
- To work with project managers to cultivate strategic positive relationships both locally and nationally to help realise funding opportunities to sustain and grow our work and impact, in line with CSE’s strategic objectives.
- To develop partnerships and liaise with a range of stakeholders, potentially including other advice agencies, local authorities, voluntary sector associations and housing associations.
- To hold the role of Work Programme Lead for the Fuel Poverty & Vulnerable Customer Work Programme.

Reporting directly to the Director of Programmes & Funding, the interim Head of Grants and Impact will be responsible for effectively managing the grant management process and strengthening partnerships, with a focus on the impact the charities funding achieves.
The successful candidate will lead on implementation of the grant strategy, lead on systems development of a long-term grants management system, with a focus on good governance and work closely with the clinical group to co-design relevant applications for submission. Additionally, this role includes line managing the Grants and Impact Lead and Grants Administrator, ensuring that team members have direction, support, and development opportunities. It is also essential to lead and inspire teams, including developing team members skills.
