We are currently recruiting for a Deputy Director, Technology who will be the lead technology expert for the organisation. This is a new role offering the scope to shape Refuge’s response to the technology challenges we face in executing our strategy and achieving our mission.
We are looking for someone with a proven track record in delivering high-quality IT support service through effective contract management of the recently appointed outsourcing company, including the resolution of any remaining on-boarding issues. You will bring a strong understanding of IT security practices, regulatory compliance, and cyber security protocols. You will also be a trusted advisor for senior colleagues, providing expertise, identifying opportunities, and delivering solutions for modernisation, automation, and cost optimisation across the organisation. You will provide advice and technical guidance to teams who manage their own applications and systems (Finance, Fundraising, People and Culture, Helpline) and manage the procurement of new IT software solutions with key investments in case management, housing management and finance systems in the early planning stages. And you will take management responsibility for Refuge’s well-established and respected Data and Performance team, ensuring we continue to report to funders on standards of performance across our services.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced fundraising professional to play a pivotal role in delivering change for the 4.3 million children growing up in poverty. You will have a demonstrable track record in securing six figure and multi annual grants primarily from trusts, foundations and/or the National Lottery.
You will have the ability to work confidently as a creative and analytical problem solver, and a hands-on fundraiser. CPAG’s fundraised income has grown significantly, and the team raises nearly £3 million annually.
You will be responsible for managing all aspects of fundraising income generation, and leading and supporting a small fundraising team. You will be able to build and nurture relationships with funders, donors and other stakeholders, and have excellent communication skills.

The role
We are looking for an experienced advisor to join our Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Committee as Chair of our external EDI Committee. The advisor will help to shape our recruitment practices and processes to make them more inclusive. Together, we will explore the issues to reach a shared understanding of them and develop improved processes to trial.
There will be a minimum of four two-hour sessions each year. Advisors have a term of 3 years, with the option to complete a maximum of 2 terms. The Advisor will be paid £120 for each two-hour session. All sessions will be either in person in our London Bridge office (travel expenses up to approximately £25 per session will be reimbursed) or via Teams.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Solicitor to join the Cancer Research Horizons (CRH) team. In this role you'll advise a range of internal clients across CRH on a broad range of life sciences-related activities. This will include drafting and negotiating complex life sciences agreements, strategic alliances and partnerships, collaborations and licensing activities, as well as working with our Commercial Partnerships team to support spin-out companies and their route to IPO. You'll make a significant contribution to the management and delivery of the legal function within CRH, e.g. delivering training, mentoring other team members and developing links with external counsel as appropriate. What will you be doing?
Work independently to provide timely, proactive, pragmatic, high quality and commercial legal advice and solutions to the organisation
Develop a strong understanding of CRH's business areas, building excellent working relationships across CRH and CRUK, as well as with internal and external clients

What skills are we looking for?

Job Summary
This role is an expansion of our employment pathway and will be our first dedicated employment coach for our students.
PiP has developed a unique reputation for our experience and quality of employment support for adults with learning disabilities. This has led to an increased number of referrals with a focus on employment, an expansion of our in-house social enterprise capacity, and more employers keen to work alongside us to diversify their staff base.
PiP is keen to respond to and meet this demand. This role for us is the next step in doing so, allowing us to increase our job coaching capacity and providing more dedicated resource for students on their employment journey. As to date our coaching has been delivered across our existing staff team.

What You’ll Need
- Working with people with learning disabilities, or a similar client group
- Experience of training, education, or employment support delivery
- Experience of job coaching or supporting work placements
- Understanding of and commitment to a person-centred approach
- An understanding of the needs of employers and ability to articulate the benefits of having a diverse workforce to businesses
- Able to establish, develop and maintain constructive and professional relationships, both internal and external, with a wide variety of professional and carers
- Evidenced experience of success in building strong and positive relationships with a variety of people and organisations
What We Offer:
· The salary for this role is circa £29,500 dependent on experience with incremental pay progression.
You'll get 25 days holiday + bank holidays ever year. We're closed for Christmas but the rest of the year you may take leave whenever you wish.
· An extra day of annual leave for each year you've worked with us up to another 5 (30 in total)
· We offer a travel subsidy of up to £7.50 per day to help with the cost of commuting.

· It's an early finish on Fridays - we close once all students leave around 4pm.

The successful candidate will be willing to get involved in all aspects of our work and thrive in a role engaging with staff all over the country and supporting great internal communications.
Working closely with our CEO and Senior Management Team, a key part of the role is ensuring that we have effective organisational governance, contracting and HR systems in place. You will also support all aspects of HR, working with our HR Advisor to support recruitment processes, staff checks, induction, and development for our staff team.
The successful applicant will have excellent people skills, the ability to develop and maintain administrative organisational systems, and be happy getting involved in a range of different work. Experience of the charity sector, and experience of supporting HR, would be an asset but are not essential.

MLC Partners are recruiting for an interim People Partner to join a Charitable organisation within the health sector. This position is responsible for recruiting, training, employee relations cases, payroll and employee benefits.
This role is due to commence early December, for at least 4months (with the potential of extension/ permanent opportunity). It is a full-time role, with hybrid working onsite near Kingston upon Thames (and occasional visits to a site in Guildford), and from home (2days).
Key responsibilities:
- Managing employee relation cases across the organisation, escalated by the People Advisor.
- Supporting and challenging managers in the use of HR policies, providing advice and guidance.
- Reporting to senior management on trends to identify key areas for people management, including performance, absence management, recruitment and retention and employee relations.
- Managing and implementing new EDI and HR initiatives and supporting the wider organisation with any HR policies and process changes.
- Oversight of the People Advisor on recruitment, and support management throughout the recruitment process.
Key criteria:
- Chartered membership of CIPD/ Relevant HR qualification.
- Previous experience in similar HR generalist/people partner role.
- Proven capabilities in employee case management, with strong working knowledge of employment law.
- Experience in working within a charity/healthcare.
- Confidence in communicating with multiple stakeholders across the organisation.
