Mama Cash are one of the oldest international women's fund in the world, working to ensure that feminist collective action led by women, girls, and trans and intersex people is resourced, supported and connected within and across social movements. About the Role

This truly is an incredible opportunity for an ambitious and passionate fundraiser to build something special for Mama Cash. The role is integral in driving income growth from high-net-worth individuals (HNWI) and major donors across the US, UK, and Netherlands, developing a major gifts program, cultivate relationships with existing donors, and identify new prospects to help meet our annual fundraising targets.

Core tasks within the role will include:

• Develop and Implement Fundraising Strategy - Create and execute a strategy to identify, cultivate, and solicit high-net-worth individuals (HNWI) and major donors with an immediate focus on the US, UK and The Netherlands

• Prospecting and Donor Acquisition - Lead HNWI prospecting, generate new leads, and develop solicitation plans, with a strong focus on US-based donors.

• Relationship Management - Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential major donors, ensuring long-term engagement.

• Income Growth and Budget Management - Secure and grow income from individual donors to meet annual fundraising targets and

• Tracking and Stewardship - Manage donor tracking systems, oversee moves management, and deliver stewardship programs, including reporting and donor events.

• Collaboration and Strategic Alignment - Work closely with senior leadership to align fundraising efforts with organisational objectives.

The role will also play a key role in inspiring and motivating a brilliant team, with a key focus on:

• Team Leadership & Staffing - Ensure proper staffing, training, and professional development while fostering collaboration

• Employee Development & Support - Guide, coach, and motivate employees, conduct performance reviews, and identify growth opportunities

• Operational & Risk Management - Identify and address internal challenges, resolve bottlenecks, and mitigate risks in work processes

Job Purpose

To support of Habitat GB’s vision of a decent home for everyone, the Director of Retail is accountable for the successful introduction of a new home improvement retail store to Great Britain called Habitat ReStore, which sells donated home furnishings, appliances, and renovation materials.  Habitat has already successfully introduced ReStore to other parts of its global network, including in the USA, Canada and Ireland, with all proceeds helping us ensure more people have access to decent homes. 

The Director of Retail provides senior and strategic leadership for Habitat GB’s retail strategy, and for the entire ReStore operation. Key responsibilities include the planning, implementation, and monitoring of the impact of ReStore in Great Britain, such as income generation, brand awareness, partnership development, community engagement and outreach. The Director of Retail is also responsible for leading a high performing team to manage the ReStore footprint in Great Britain, and working collaboratively across Habitat GB, the international Habitat network (HFHI), and with external partners.

As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Director of Retail works to ensure the impact, sustainability, diligence and productivity of the organisation, including engaging in organisational transformation, within the framework of a robust people and culture approach. 

Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities

Strategic development & leadership:

   Provide senior and strategic leadership for end-to-end retail operations.

• Develop and implement a comprehensive commercial and profit-driven strategy aligned with Habitat GB’s mission and goals. 
• Continue to identify and maximise the opportunities, revenue and profit presented by the commercial operations of Retail as well as volunteering, community engagement and other programmes, working in collaboration with colleagues in the Programme Delivery and Fundraising & Partnerships teams.
• Working collaboratively across Habitat GB, review the commerciality of the wider charity and develop commercial projects capable of delivering efficiencies and increasing income which create increased support for the charity’s beneficiaries.
• Work with the Director of Finance, Operations & Compliance and other colleagues to ensure effective and efficient commercial delivery whilst taking accountability for establishing and maintaining appropriate delivery frameworks and governance.
• Lead and empower all ReStore colleagues to maximise income and profit from all Retail and sources (including online) whilst ensuring that costs are contained within budget.

he role of the Operations Officer (Licensing and Compliance) is to support the coordination, development and delivery of licensing and compliance processes and procedures across the Award Association.

The Operations Officer (Licensing and Compliance) will assist the Senior Licensing and Compliance Manager and other members of the Operations Team to ensure that, through the consistent and proactive use of standards, policies and quality assurance processes, backed up by effective licensing, the intellectual property and good reputation of the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award is effectively protected.

The role will work closely with Operations Directors and Operations Managers to assist predominantly with compliance management for all Award Operators, including National Award Operators (NAOs), Operating Partners (OPs) and Independent Award Centres (IACs).

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Operations Managers and the Senior Licensing and Compliance Manager with NAO, IAC and OP licence reviews/compliance checks including but not limited to providing administration support, drafting content where required and reviewing reports.
• Assist the Senior Licensing and Compliance Manager with issuing of and drafting correspondence in relation to all licence documentation (terminations, licence extensions, agreements, and certificates etc).
• Assist the Senior Licensing and Compliance Manager and Operations Managers with the ongoing compliance management process for NAOs and OPs.

As the Head of Delivery, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of a range of priority projects, including 3G FTPs, changing facilities, grass pitches, PlayZones, and Hub sites. You’ll ensure these projects meet the needs of local communities and stakeholders, promoting multi-sport participation and inclusivity. Leading a dynamic team, you’ll focus on operational excellence, refining processes, and ensuring all projects align with the Football Foundation’s strategic goals and investment priorities.

Key responsibilities

· Oversee the development and maintenance of a robust pipeline of high-quality facility projects that deliver long-term value and benefit to local communities.

· Provide strategic leadership to ensure facility projects align with the Foundation’s strategy, and drive execution for maximum impact.

· Ensure projects reflect the needs of local communities and stakeholders, fostering multi-sport participation and inclusivity.

· Mentor and develop a team, creating a collaborative environment, where everyone is aligned and working towards shared goals.

· Continuously refine methodologies and workflows to ensure efficiency, consistency, and improved project outcomes.

· Assist in high-profile funding discussions, maximising contributions and ensuring the best outcomes for each project.

· Lead rigorous peer reviews and ensure high-quality, consistent assessment reports.

· Oversee the transition of projects from approval to construction, ensuring timelines are met and risks are managed.

What are we looking for?

· Proven experience in project delivery, particularly with capital projects above £25k, preferably in the sports or community development sector.

· Strong leadership and team management experience, with the ability to motivate and develop teams across multiple functions.

· Deep understanding of grant management systems and project execution, including budgeting, risk management, and quality assurance.

· Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with a track record of driving collaboration and community involvement.

· Ability to think strategically and ensure projects align with the Foundation’s strategic priorities and provide long-term value.

· Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage complex and high-profile projects.

What can we offer you?

The salary band for this role is £62,000 - £68,000 per annum, dependent on relevant skills and experience.

You will start with 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (which increases after 2 years), plus additional time off to volunteer.
