The Director of Sexual Violence Services is a strategic leadership role. You will be responsible for leading, overseeing and managing LimeCulture’s Sexual Violence Services Division, bringing together our full range of consultancy services and bespoke training initiatives focusing on the prevention of and response to sexual violence.

Our Sexual Violence Services division has clients and projects spanning a range of different sectors, so you will be confident in operating across multiple sectors, organisations and workforces.

We are looking for a charismatic leader - dynamic and confident in your approach with a ‘can-do’ attitude. You will be a highly skilled operator with the ability to influence, and develop effective, robust working relationships with a range of key external stakeholders to strengthen LimeCulture’s reputation as a sector leader and attract new business.

The Director role is primarily home-based with some planned travel and so candidates can be based anywhere in the UK.

About the role: 

Reports to - Chair of Trustees 
Salary - £90,000 - £100,000 per year (pro-rata if part-time)
Contract - Permanent, 0.8FTE to 1.0FTE 
Location - London-based with some hybrid work possible. Travel within the UK as required by the role. 

Main purpose of the job:

The CEO is responsible for the growth, development and performance of the charity and for shaping and delivering an impactful and sustainable strategy in line with our mission and aims. They will be a key representative of Action Tutoring externally, including working to raise the profile of tutoring as an essential part of school education.

• Working with the Board to agree the vision and mission
• Ongoing strategic development and delivery of the short term and long term strategic plans and vision

Finance and Fundraising

• Overseeing financial management of the charity
• Lead fund raising alongside Head of Philanthropy to ensure fundraising targets set by the Board are met

Advocacy

• Representing Action Tutoring externally to a range of stakeholders, including school leaders, policy makers, the media and funders, to raise the profile of Action Tutoring and awareness of the cause
• Contributing to government policies, helping to establish tutoring as an essential part of school education

Line Management

• Direct line management of the Senior Leadership Team and the Head of Philanthropy

Governance

• Working collaboratively with the Board to ensure the vision and mission are met and that the board is sufficiently informed to enable the Trustees to discharge their duties
• ​Ensuring robust and effective governance processes are in place and adhered to Responsible for Strategic Risk Management and reporting on this to the Board

Person specification:

• Proven track record as a CEO or Board-level senior leader, ideally in a non-profit organisation
• Experience in developing and executing strategic plans to achieve organisational vision and mission
• Strong communication and advocacy skills, with extensive experience representing organisations externally to various stakeholders (e.g. school leaders, partners policymakers, funders), and contributing to sector-wide policy discussions
• Understanding of the education sector, and the needs and drivers of stakeholders across the education space
• Commercial mindset, with proven success in fundraising to meet set targets and secure income for ongoing operations
• Experience in growing and evolving organisations to meet ambitious targets and in response to external changes, challenges and opportunities in your operating context
• Experience in an organisation with strong operational service delivery and an understanding of how to ensure quality, efficiency and impact in that context

Overview of the role

The Data, Security, & Information Management team are responsible for defining and executing the RST and UKROEd Digital Strategies, developing and implementing systems that ensure all data is collected, processed, and stored securely and efficiently, and in accordance with our responsibilities under UK GDPR and data protection legislation.

As Information Governance Officer, you will have responsibility for a range of assurance activities in relation to the information governance frameworks of both companies (approx. 20% RST, 80% UKROEd), including how we meet the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), Data Protection Act 2018, and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).

You will be a first line point of contact for individual information rights requests (such as subject access requests), freedom of information requests, and other information governance and data protection-related matters.

You will understand the importance of privacy by design and information governance best practice to ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory obligations. You will work with colleagues to conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments on new, and amended, systems and processes.

You will take a leading role in supporting the application and maintenance of effective document and record management arrangements. 

You will provide guidance and training on best practice and legislative compliance changes.

Principal Duties

• Be the first point of contact in the DSIM Business Area for expert advice on individual information rights requests (such as subject access requests) and freedom of information (FOI) requests, effectively escalating to the Head of DSIM when required.
• Help the Head of DSIM and the Data Protection Officer (DPO) to ensure we meet our statutory obligations and procedural requirements, produce clear responses in plain-English, and continuously improve our processes in this area.
• Support and assist people to clarify and refine their requests for information.
• Work with colleagues across the organisation to secure the necessary information and ensure comprehensive understanding of the scope and scale of any request.
• Maintain and monitor information governance logs, identifying and reporting on trends in information rights and freedom of information requests and circulating key data to the team and the wider organisation as necessary. Note: whilst the administration of information rights requests forms a critical part of the role, this is less than 15% of day-to-day activity.
• Provide data protection and information governance training, working with the Head of DSIM and DPO in developing training and delivery.
• Support the reporting and analysis of data incidents.
• Working with the UKROEd Data Analyst & Head of DSIM, help investigate by collating information to support the organisation to learn and improve practice and governance, analysing statistics and providing advice accordingly on how to reduce risk. Escalate issues as necessary.
• Help with preparing submissions in relation to any matters referred to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
• Challenge practices, processes, and procedures as required, using negotiation and specialist knowledge to achieve continual improvement and compliance.
• Working with the Head of DSIM maintain, and keep up to date, the Records of Processing Activities (RoPA, on One Trust) and Applications Portfolio.
• Work with colleagues to conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA) as part of the Digital Board Gateway authorisation processes.
• Assist the team and organisation with internal & external reviews and audits – reviewing information governance documentation of key stakeholders as part of the Annual Provider Review (APR) process.
• With the Head of DSIM, advise colleagues, including up to senior management level, on information governance and records management issues.
• Keep up to date with developments in information governance and data protection legislation, case law and guidance.

The Role

To deliver on our new strategy and exciting capital and activity Masterplan, Wonderseekers is growing its Fundraising Team. The Head of Major Gifts is a pivotal new role within this team: working closely with the Director of Fundraising and managing a small team of experienced Trusts & Foundations (T&F) fundraisers, to achieve an initial target of circa £3.5 million within the next two years.

Accomplished at assimilating and interpreting complex information to craft compelling, high-level funding proposals, the post holder will lead and coordinate project fundraising campaigns to achieve the individual project targets, ensuring the highest quality of funding approach and donor stewardship across the Major Gifts Team.

In addition to managing and supporting the in-house T&F Managers and freelance T&F fundraisers to secure five and six figure grants, the post holder will develop and manage their own portfolio of major T&Fs and high net worth individual (HNWI) donors contributing circa £1 million towards the overall initial target. Working with the Director of Fundraising, they will play a lead role in establishing a strong and loyal major donor base of organisations and HNWI for the Charity in anticipation of future funding needs.

The post holder will have impeccable interpersonal and presentation skills and be comfortable representing the Charity and engaging with senior internal and external stakeholders at the highest level.

This is an exciting opportunity for a senior fundraiser to become an influential member of the Charity’s Leadership Team. Following achievement of the initial target, the Head of Major Gifts will play a strategic role in designing and implementing future fundraising campaigns (for “business as usual” and special projects) to support the Charity’s strategic plan and maximise its social impact.

About this role

We are pleased to advertise for a Head of Death Penalty Projects- US to oversee our work against the death penalty in the United States of America. 

Reprieve has worked against the death penalty since our founding. In recent years we have built a particular specialism in issues relating to lethal injection, the most popular execution method in the US. Lethal injection has been touted as more humane than other methods – a modern, clean, clinical way to execute. This couldn’t be further from the truth. Lethal injection executions go wrong more often than any other execution method, often resulting in prolonged and torturous executions, commonly known as “botched” executions. Through our work we aim to dispel the myth of the humane execution, working with allies across medicine, business and other sectors to end the misuse of medicines and medical technology in executions.

The existing portfolio of work includes litigation, investigation and analysis, corporate engagement, a wide range of public and private advocacy, and developing and maintaining world-leading expertise on execution methods, particularly the jurisprudence and science relevant to lethal injection.

Contract, location and salary

The role is a full-time, permanent position with a salary of £59,226 per annum less any required deductions for tax and national insurance.Reprieve operates a hybrid working model and we require staff to work a minimum of 40% from the London office and the rest of the week from home. There is the opportunity for international travel in the role.

In addition to leading a small team and overseeing day-to-day financial management, this role will contribute to key initiatives such as enhancing our fund accounting and management reporting, refining project cost modelling, and reviewing finance policies and processes. As a business partner to budget holders, the role will provide leaders with the knowledge, insights, and tools to strengthen budget management and forecasting, building on the supportive and engaged relationship the finance team already fosters across the organisation. You will work closely with the Director of Finance and Operations on finance strategy and change management projects.

Ukie is the trade association that represents and supports the UK’s thriving video game and interactive entertainment industry. Our small team supports a membership of nearly 700 leading businesses, helping them as they create some of the world’s most exciting games.  Our membership includes cutting-edge companies working across the interactive entertainment industry from Sony PlayStation, Electronic Arts and Microsoft to Improbable, Space Ape and Jagex. 

With a changing political environment and new Government there are several significant issues for the sector to navigate including online safety, the use of AI, long term skills and training challenges, and how to maintain the sector as an engine of growth in the UKs creative industries. Increasingly we are working beyond the games and interactive entertainment industry, working on a cross sectoral basis with partners in the creative and tech industries. We also work with other relevant trade associations on an international level to share best practice and ensure we are able to react to and shape policy on a global basis.

What you’ll be doing

• The post holder will help advance Ukie’s policy work on aspects of UK and international policy impacting the games and interactive entertainment industry through:
• Monitoring policy changes and providing in-depth policy analysis, research, and reports for internal stakeholders.
• Relationship building and engagement with Ukie members and wider sector stakeholders, including attendance at internal and external stakeholder meetings and coalition industry groups.
• Support the Senior Policy Manager in research for Ukie’s external consultation responses, co-ordinating with members and facilitating internal forums for discussions on particular issues.
• Support in organising events and engagement with policy makers within Whitehall, Westminster, the Devolved Governments and with regional, combined and local authorities as well as with our global partners in the EU, US and further afield. 
• Assisting the policy and research teams with major public affairs projects and campaigns according to the UKIEs internal strategy and drawing on Ukie’s internal data and external partners where appropriate.
• Supporting and promoting Ukie at external political meetings, including our bi-annual Westminster Games Week.
• Support in raising the profile of Ukie and its significant policy priorities through external communications in partnership with the Ukie campaigns team, and through public scrutiny such as the use of written parliamentary questions.
• Acting as the lead point of contact for the APPG on Video Games and Esports to which Ukie acts as the secretariat and taking responsibility for liaising with its members.
• Lead on external policy communications such as the Ukie Policy Byte, the bi-weekly political newsletter, with support from Senior Policy Manager and Head of Policy where necessary.
• Be responsible for the team administration of internal stakeholder meetings, including sending out invites, taking minutes and preparing relevant material as well as maintaining up to date email lists of all stakeholders.

Relationship Management

• Develop and maintain relationships with games industry member businesses and a wide range of external bodies; including partner organisations, government officials and other trade bodies.
• Support the Senior Policy Manager and Head of Policy in the management of Ukie’s internal stakeholder groups – including Ukie’s policy group and its various working sub groups.
• Maintain stakeholder engagement trackers and act as a point of contact for external engagement with Parliamentarians, regional politicians and their offices.
• Support the Head of Policy and Chief Executive in any external engagements.
• Support the policy team and wider Senior Management team with other reasonable tasks as required

 Qualifications and experience required for this role 

Qualified by experience. You don’t need to hold a degree to apply for this role, but experience of working in a policy facing role, public affairs agency or regulatory environment would be advantageous. On-the-job training will be provided via Ukie or external providers where appropriate.

Hours of Work 

• Monday to Friday – 9.00am to 5.30pm
• Expectation that some evening and weekend work may be required to attend or run Ukie events as the business requires.

The UK Men’s Sheds Association (UKMSA) is seeking a skilled and inspirational CEO to lead our charity through the next stage of its development and the continued delivery of our core mission of improving the lives and wellbeing of men (and women) through the Men’s Shed movement across the UK.

We are looking for a Chief Executive with the energy, vision and experience to take on the strategic leadership and direction of our well-respected and fast-growing national charity, which brings tangible benefits to men’s health, mental health and suicide prevention across the UK. Our strategy is one of ambitious targets to support the expansion, reach, diversity and sustainability of the Men’s Shed movement, in line with our vision of happier and healthier men by virtue of reduced loneliness, anxiety and depression, improved wellbeing, and saved lives.

Our new CEO will be a proven and exemplary strategic leader, who will head our mission, guide the team, represent our charity with partners, funders and politicians, and support the Shed Movement we exist to serve. Your track record of inspirational leadership and excellent communications skills will be a key part of building and diversifying our funding (including developing sustainable income growth strategies and bringing in commercial sponsorship), broadening and deepening our partnerships and our relationships with government, and driving our future success. Your experience in executive leadership in the nonprofit sectors will ensure the good management and statutory compliance of UKMSA. We recognise that you may not have a background in the Men’s Shed movement, but your strong emotional intelligence will enable you to quickly develop a good understanding of the community we serve.

• Leadership – the ability to motivate, develop, and deliver through a team of staff and volunteers such that the organisation meets its goals.
• Interpersonal & Communication Skills – these will need to be excellent (including written communication) in order to build rapport and effective relationships across a range of people, from our members to the general public, political figures and senior executives in other organisations. As UKMSA’s public face, the CEO must also be adept at showcasing our work, including in the media and to parliamentary and other government bodies.
• Financial Acumen – the CEO will be expected to operate the budget and develop our new strategy for ensuring sustainable income, actively leading the development of corporate sponsorships and other significant income streams.
• Flexibility & Adaptability – the new CEO will be expected to learn about the world of Men’s Sheds quickly, to be able confidently to represent UKMSA and to build strong relationships within the Men’s Shed community (both within the UK and internationally). And as we only have a staff team of 13 (geographically dispersed), it is expected that the CEO will actively engage in some of the more tactical work, including being ‘hands on’ at events.

The successful candidates will work 35 hours a week over 5 days, including evening and weekend work as required by the company.

About The Role 

The Help for Heroes Community Development team are looking to recruit a team of Community Builders to assist in their reshaped participation and connection strategy. Using Asset Based Community Development, we seek to support the charity’s objective to enhance reach and positive impact for members of the Armed Forces Community facing challenges within their local communities.

We are looking for a motivated, dynamic and confident people who are passionate about collaborating with communities in the design and delivery of interventions that bring and connect people together to strengthen networks within the local community. Working closely with Community Development Managers across regions within the UK, the Community Builders will play a vital role in helping to improve lives for Armed Forces Community members by creating a supportive environment that allows them to re-engage and connect with the services at Help for Heroes and with the wider community. 

The main purpose of this role is to connect local people through their skills, passions and assets and support the creation of new connections, bringing people together to improve wellbeing and make the community a better place to live. This will include listening to different points of views, building relationships and motivating people to work together and create their own action influenced by their interests and skillsets to positively impact local communities and help them to flourish.

About You

You will have experience leading and facilitating the mobilisation of local communities, asset mapping, bringing together people for engagement that matters to them. You will have knowledge and experience of Asset Based Community Development work, outreach methods and you will have good organisational skills, energy and the ability to animate local communities. 

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver outreach to drive local connection, engagement and participation opportunities for the AFC 

• Develop and embed an ABCD informed way of work 

• Asset map 

• Organise and facilitate community meetings to share ideas, encourage collective decision making and build a sense of belonging 

• Encourage and pilot community lead action in response to local AFC needs/interests through peer led/co-designed initiatives 

• Increase awareness of the challenges faced by military personnel, veterans and their families

PLEASE NOTE: The successful candidates will need to be based within an hour’s commute of their allocated locality and there is a requirement to travel within a 75-mile radius of this location (travel expenses covered). Flexibility in working hours is necessary to ensure a total of 70 hours is covered over a 2-week period so please take this into consideration before applying. 

We are looking for someone with the following: 

• A Community Development qualification and/or at least 3 years' experience working within a community development or similar role, with responsibility for bringing about social change and improving quality of life 

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop relationships which lead to actions  

• Demonstrable experience within an integrated multi-disciplinary service  

• Experience of engaging and working collaboratively with partners/stakeholders 

About the Team 

You will work as part of the Community Development team; this newly formed team will approach working in defined localities using an asset based community development approach. Together the Community Development Managers and the Community Builders will strengthen local communities using resources and networks that are readily available. You will do this to proliferate opportunities for sustainable participation and engagement alongside a multi-disciplinary team in order to support the Armed Forces Community to live well after service.
