Location of Work: Home based. The post holder will be expected to travel to meet donors, travel to away days and team meetings in London. On occassion, you will need to be able to attend early morning breakfast visits therefore the post holder will need to live close to London.
The role may involve some irregular travel throughout England and Scotland. Expenses will be paid in line with our Travel and Expenses policy.
Contract Type: Ideally full-time, 35 hours per week, although part time / flexible hours may be considered. The role may require occasional evening and weekend work

BACKGROUND
Magic Breakfast provide a nutritious and filling breakfast to over 200,000 children and young people every school day. We work with schools in areas of high disadvantage, helping staff target the children most in need without barrier or stigma. Magic Breakfast are ambitious to grow our impact to remove hunger as a barrier to learning for all children and young people in the UK.
The new UK government’s Children’s Wellbeing Bill outlined in the King’s Speech, includes a requirement for free school breakfast clubs in every English primary school. This is a fantastic start towards ending child morning hunger. Magic Breakfast’s influence will be instrumental to ensuring school breakfasts are introduced in a way that is hunger-focused and barrier free. In 2021, the Scottish Government, pledged a not yet enacted promise to provide breakfast to primary children.
Thousands of secondary school children are at risk of losing their free school breakfasts from September next year. For many of these students, this is their only opportunity to have a nutritious meal before facing a demanding school day, including taking exams.

JOB PURPOSE
Magic Breakfast’s mission is to end child morning hunger in the UK now and for good the Philanthropy team’s role is to develop and deliver the charity's high net worth individual giving programme in line with Magic Breakfast’s strategic priorities to enable our organisational growth against our mission.
We are seeking to grow income through further cultivation and stewardship of our potential and existing donors. Our High Value Giving teams are forecast to collectively raise £5.1m in 2021/22, up from £4.6m two years ago in 2019/20. The team includes partnerships with charitable trusts and foundations, corporate organisations, and high-net-worth individuals.
Reporting into the Head of Philanthropy, this role will have a particular focus on ensuring that Magic Breakfast is offering the highest quality of donor care from start to finish, and building and developing our prospect pipeline.
We’re looking for a proactive person with excellent relationship building, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship skills as we seek to build our prospect pool, enhance or supporter journey and achieve our ambitious fundraising targets.
The Philanthropy Manager will have the opportunity to be innovative and creative, to create and test impactful donor journeys and engagement opportunities so Magic Breakfast’s supporters feel valued and can understand the transformational difference they are making to hungry children and their learning in the UK.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage your own portfolio of donors, providing excellent stewardship and strategies to uplift and secure multi year donations

Work with Corporate, Trusts and Individual Giving teams to identify potential major donors and high value regular givers within Magic Breakfast’s donor portfolio and implement plans to develop these relationships;

Support the Head of Philanthropy to build relationships with senior volunteers to garner their support and help encourage introductions to their networks

Ensure all donations are thanked and recorded in a timely way, and logged accurately on salesforce

Support Head of Philanthropy in accurately forecasting philanthropy income for each financial year, and ensure forecast income is updated monthly.

Summary
As Community Fundraising Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the fundraising activities across the London and South region of the UK. You will manage your own patch covering London and the South East coast, and manage a team of 2 regionally based fundraisers to govern their respective patches.

Main Responsibilities
You will be responsible for overseeing the community fundraising activity across London and the South region of the UK, supporting the Senior Management Team to deliver the national Community Fundraising strategy.
You will manage your own patch in London and line manage 2 regionally based fundraisers covering the South West and South Central regions. You'll focus on creating amazing experiences for individuals, corporates and community organisations, building loyalty and lifetime value for the organisation.
Ideal Candidate
You will have experience in executing ambitious regional growth plans within Community Fundraising, with demonstrable examples of achieving income growth. You will have a passion for building excellent relationships with your supporters to increase loyalty and life-long relationships with the charity, alongside an ability to develop new supporters via a variety of income streams including regional corporates.
You will have demonstrable experience of using insight and data to make recommendations for income growth and to further support relationships with supporters.
It is desirable, but not essential, that you have experience in directly managing staff members. But you could be the ideal person for this role if you have transferable skills in developing others to create an environment of support and high performance, and a passion to develop in this area.
At Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, we care for children and young people whose lives are just too short. Our aim is to reach every family that needs our help and to offer them the very best choice of care. Did you know that every year we need to raise £6.5m to keep our doors open and only around 16% of our income comes from government sources, the rest has to be raised through fundraising activity.
Our services include short overnight stays and community breaks at home or in the hospice. We also support the whole family from diagnosis with our multi-disciplinary Family Support team who provide counselling, sibling support groups, music therapy and much more. Our care team support these families in our modern, purpose-built building. All our rooms bedrooms have a homely feel. We have a sensory room, spa pool, cinema room and six acres of gardens.
We support families from a large geographical area, including South Yorkshire, North Nottinghamshire, North Derbyshire and parts of North Lincolnshire. The role:
As our Fundraising Business Partner, you will be at the forefront of our regional fundraising team. You’ll work hand-in-hand with the Income Generation and Communications Director, crafting and implementing innovative, long-term strategies to expand and diversify our income streams. You’ll identify new opportunities, guide a talented team of six fundraising professionals, and build lasting partnerships that strive to reach our income aims.

The Individual Giving Manager will report into the Senior Individual Giving Manager and is responsible for delivering key Individual Giving campaigns and projects, including our stewardship retention programme via a range of direct marketing channels, in order to drive income and achieve our strategic objectives. You will also be responsible for the ongoing monitoring, continuous improvement and success of our Individual Giving campaigns that provide low risk, unrestricted income - crucial to our future growth as an organisation.
The Individual Giving Manager will be responsible for helping to devise, and then deliver, our Individual Giving retention programme to our warm donor base – which includes Regular Giving Upgrade, Reactivation and Cash to Conversion campaigns, as well as Cash appeals, Stewardship communications and welcome journeys for new donors. You will work with a range of channels including telemarketing, email, SMS and direct mail. We are not aiming to replicate existing Individual Giving models, so you will take a bold and pioneering approach to mass marketing and stewardship, breaking down conventional barriers to achieve transformational growth.
You will be experienced in direct marketing – creating compelling propositions and content, able to plan and carry out sophisticated stewardship journeys, whilst ensuring there are robust systems and processes in place to execute superb supporter care.
You will work closely with the Acquisition team to ensure activities are optimised and integrated at all times. You will have a strong campaign management approach (from planning to evaluation) and be responsible for the ongoing monitoring, continuous improvement and success of each campaign you deliver, using data and insights to shape future campaigns and helping to grow unrestricted and sustainable income.
Your responsibilities:
- To be responsible for delivering War Child’s Individual Giving supporter retention programme, including cash and emergency appeals, warm telemarketing (upgrade, reactivation and C2C), welcome journeys and a series of engagement communications across the year. Our multi-channel approach requires a good knowledge of telemarketing, email, SMS and direct mail, as well as KPI monitoring, analysis and learning for the continuous improvement and success of the programme. You may also be required to carry out some Regular Giving acquisition activity as needed.
- To work closely with the Acquisition team and Senior Individual Giving Manager, to ensure all campaigns and supporter journeys are well planned, joined up, and motivate potential and existing supporters with a personalised and rewarding experience. This includes the planning and delivery of strategic supporter journeys, and creating new processes to ensure maximum effectiveness and efficiency across the programme.
- Monitor income and expenditure for each campaign you deliver against targets and budgets, and provide regular reports and updates on progress and performance (including the attrition of donors).
- Draw on fundraising knowledge and expertise to support the Senior Individual Giving Manager and Head of Individual Giving with the overall supporter retention strategy, including making key recommendations on targets, opportunities for growth, scale back, and spend needed, while considering the external environment / trends across the sector, audience insight and campaign learnings – helping to influence strategic decisions on future investment.
- Ensure excellent stakeholder and agency management, so that War Child is in a strong position to motivate sector specialists to engage with our brand and form long-term relationships.
- To maintain an up to date knowledge of current activities at War Child and be an advocate of the War Child brand.
- Work closely with the Fundraising Compliance Manager and other key team members to ensure that all marketing activity is in line with compliance regulations set by the IOF, DMA, ICO, Fundraising Regulator and GDPR legislation.
- Contribute to creating a culture committed to the safeguarding of children and adults, and compliant to WCUK’s Child Safeguarding and Adults at Risk Policies.

You are:
- An experienced Individual Giving fundraiser, with demonstrable knowledge of mass market channels, supporter retention campaigns and direct marketing principles, ideally gained within an international development or humanitarian NGO setting so you can present War Child’s work with authority.
- Someone with a proven track record of successful fundraising results, maximising the potential income across every campaign you are responsible for, and delivering against income targets to budget and on schedule.
- Analytically and numerically strong, and confident in using Excel. Able to take an evidence-led approach to enhancing performance, by analysing data patterns and trends (including the attrition of donors), and using a range of KPIs to monitor and predict performance.
- An excellent copywriter, someone who is passionate and experienced at crafting compelling direct marketing copy, creative and journeys for Individual Giving donors.
- Experienced at using a relational database to support and report on fundraising activity, using insight and analysis to identify opportunities.
- An excellent communicator with strong relationship-building skills internally and externally.
- An excellent multitasker who can prioritise a demanding and varied workload efficiently.
- Someone with a good understanding of the principles of fundraising regulation and GDPR, and its implications for fundraising policy and practice.
- Highly organised, process driven, proactive and have an excellent eye for detail.
- Willing to work outside of normal working hours where needed, in response to emergencies.

The Senior Digital Marketing Officer is responsible for driving forward CBM UK’s digital fundraising, growing our online presence and directly contributing to the success of our fundraising efforts.
The position holder is the digital fundraising lead responsible for the coordination, development, delivery, and testing of stand-alone digital fundraising projects, and (where appropriate) support and integrate with offline activity and wider fundraising and communications campaigns.

Galapagos Conservation Trust (GCT) is the only UK registered charity to focus exclusively on supporting the conservation and sustainability of the Galapagos Islands, Ecuador. Our programmes respond to major threats to the Islands and the surrounding marine reserve including pollution, invasive species, overfishing and climate change. We take a ‘science to solutions’ approach, ensuring our programmes are based on robust science and result in solutions being implemented. Role Description
Our membership community are the lifeblood of GCT, representing a passionate group primarily based in the UK, inspired by the magic of Galapagos. Through their membership donations, this community provides a critical stream of income, protecting this special place long after people visit and represent our best advocates for protecting Galapagos into the future. We are seeking a special individual who can help us reach more of this UK audience and catalyse a growth in new supporter recruitment. At GCT, we truly believe that regenerative tourism can be part of the solution for conservation and this role will also drive stronger connections with tourism businesses and other targeted corporates to grow GCT’s income, donor recruitment opportunities and also to disseminate messaging to influence more sustainable practices in the Galapagos tourism industry.
Reporting to the CEO, the Membership & Regenerative Tourism Manager will drive the development and implementation of three key GCT strategies: Membership, Corporate fundraising & Regenerative Tourism. The role will line manage the Individual Giving Fundraiser who is responsible for managing GCT’s contact database and membership/corporate fundraising administration.
What you’ll deliver:
Membership
· Working with the Individual Giving Fundraiser you will oversee a growth in GCT’s membership (targets to be agreed upon appointment) whilst ensuring our strong record of supporter retention is maintained, ensuring our members feel a valued part of protecting Galapagos.
· Working with the Individual Giving Fundraiser and Communications team, you will develop and deliver high quality communications to members and tourism contacts, growing recruitment and ongoing engagement.
· Working with the Individual Giving Fundraiser you will manage GCT’s contact database (CRM) and will refine GCT’s membership, supporter and corporate data tracking processes, reporting monthly and quarterly indicators to the Senior Leadership Team and Board.
· You will ensure robust administration of membership, supporter and corporate income, with an ‘all-hands-on-deck’ attitude during busy income processing times.
· You will lead promotional activities for legacy gifts, stewarding legacy pledgers.
· You will support the Senior Philanthropy Manager in donor relationship management, ensuring a strong donor journey at all levels.
· You will provide strategic input to the CEO for ongoing membership, tourism and corporate fundraising strategy delivery and development.
Corporate Partnerships
· Working with the CEO and Senior Philanthropy Manager, you will review and relaunch GCT’s corporate membership/ sponsorship scheme in 2025 linking with GCT’s 30th Anniversary.
· Working with the Senior Leadership Team you will support the development and implementation of GCT’s first Galapagos Regenerative Tourism Partner initiative (aiming to generate c. £50K per year towards regenerative tourism work).
· You will continue recruitment and cultivation of GCT’s corporate partners from the travel industry and other industries, ensuring partnership deliverables and income targets are met.
· You will support the Senior Philanthropy Manager with logistics, promotion and fundraising strategies for the GCT cruises.
Regenerative Tourism
· You will stay informed of tourism news from Galapagos and trends for UK tourists including attending relevant networking events, updating the wider GCT team on a quarterly basis.
· Support GCT’s position on the Galapagos Regenerative Tourism Working Group.
· Ensure opportunities to share regenerative tourism messaging are optimised to increase industry uptake of biodiversity and local community positive solutions.
General
· Stay informed of existing and new fundraising legislation and guidance from the Fundraising Regulator, keeping the Senior Leadership Team updated of any changes.
· Support for GCT events such as our annual Galapagos Day.
· Ensure GCT’s fundraising and contact data management policies are kept up to date and implemented across the organisation.
· To support other team members as required at busy times.

Desirable:
o Experience working in the charity sector and particularly in environment/conservation or the tourism sector will be an advantage.
o Evidence of fundraising and/or marketing skills e.g. a qualification or training course is desirable.
o Spanish language ability is an advantage but not critical to this role.
o Confidence in public speaking to a variety of audiences and experience facilitating workshops is beneficial.
Place of work: GCT offices, central London (UK) with potential for occasional national and international travel; based in London office at least 2 days per week, option to work from home up to 3 days per week. Purpose of the role

Principal accountabilities / responsibilities
Fundraising
· Support fundraising activity across a wide range of programmes, including individual giving, legacy, in-memory and events fundraising
· Plan, execute, monitor and report on individual giving and legacy appeals, leading project groups with the support of the Senior Individual Giving Manager

The Head of Fundraising is an exciting new role developed for the Society to increase fundraising and develop additional income streams to enhance the sustainability of the Society. They will help deliver the Transformation Plan, an exciting new project for Scotland’s oldest learned antiquarian Society to help deliver the Society’s vision: “Scotland’s past is for everyone to research, share, enjoy and protect, home and abroad”.
The Transformation Plan includes the acquisition and redevelopment of a B-listed building in central Edinburgh to co-create the most inclusive, low-carbon and heritage-rich space to work, visit and participate. This will become a heritage hub for Scotland’s past, helping to bring heritage alive for a wide range of public audiences. This role will provide the necessary vision, leadership, and fundraising skills which will enable the Society to achieve its fundraising targets and enhance its development program.
They will be an effective fundraiser and key contact for grant giving organisations, personal donations and legacies. They will report directly to the Director sharing collective responsibility to deliver the Society’s strategy and vision.
Initially on a 2.5-year fixed term contract, with the possibility of extension subject to funding, the post will work as part of the senior management team and liaise directly with staff, Councillors (trustees), members (known as Fellows) and other organisations and individuals to ensure the successful delivery of their responsibilities.
The post will have the following immediate priorities:
· Helping develop and submit a major stage one Development Phase National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF) grant application in collaboration with the Director and others, creating an engaging and successful proposal and case for support (part of an overall c£6m Transformation Plan project)

Person Specification
The Head of Fundraising will have substantial fundraising and management experience, a talent for building relationships and a proven track record in securing funds from statutory sources, foundations, trusts and major donors. They will be a key contact for grant giving organisations, personal donations and legacies. Further Information
This post is an initial 2.5-year (30 month) full-time contract which will be extendible subject to funding. There will be a short probationary period during which time your skills and suitability for the position will be assessed. Development of fundraising for the Transformation Plan will be the immediate priority. A lot of work has already been undertaken by the Society in preparing for an NLHF application as part of this, but the skill and experience of this post will ensure it has the maximum chance of success. This will include liaising with others, including NLHF staff and our consultants, the More Partnership.
The tasks and role will develop in line with the requirements in that application and the implementation of the Transformation Plan and will be reviewed after the submission of the initial NLHF bid. The Society has been around for over 240 years, actively supporting the study and enjoyment of Scotland’s past, ensuring everyone to research, share, enjoy and protect its heritage, home and abroad. We are now looking to contract a new role created to help us enhance the organisation and increase its sustainability into the future.

Are you ready to lead transformative growth at Scotland’s only provider of children’s palliative care? As Head of Partnership and Philanthropy at CHAS, you will be at the heart of our ambition to make sure that no family in Scotland has to face the death of their child alone. Joining at a pivotal time in our organisation’s history, you’ll guide talented teams to secure the vital resources that will help us be there for more children who need our help, and their families. This role offers a rare opportunity to champion creative, high-impact partnerships and inspire a dedicated team working to bring comfort and hope to children and families when they need it most.
In this senior role, you’ll oversee our Partnerships and Philanthropy team during this period of transformational growth, leading efforts to secure major donations, develop corporate relationships, and design unforgettable, high-profile events. Working closely with our Appeal Director, you’ll help drive the “It’s Not Just a Hospice” appeal and lead efforts to secure £16.3 million to transform one of our two children’s hospices, Rachel House. With creativity, determination, and compassion, you’ll play a critical role in CHAS’s mission to provide unwavering care to children who may die young and their families.
Your Role at CHAS
As part of our award-winning Income Generation and Engagement Directorate, you’ll report to the Director of Income Generation and Engagement and lead a department of 13 talented professionals, including two senior managers. This role is central to CHAS’s strategic vision, which includes a fundraising goal of £75 million (including £16.3 million from the major appeal) over the next five years to sustain CHAS’s life-changing work and fund key projects like the Rachel House redevelopment.
