Role Overview:
The Talent Set is working with a fantastic charity who are looking for a dynamic Communications Lead to play a pivotal role in shaping their external communications for an initial 3–4-month contract.

This is a fantastic opportunity to drive a cultural shift within their team, set up best practices, and mentor junior staff while directly contributing to high-quality communications output. We need someone who is equally comfortable shaping strategy as they are writing an engaging article for our website or reviewing a press release.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead on developing and implementing communication strategies, ensuring alignment with our rebrand and organisational goals.
• Provide media and PR expertise, guiding and supporting junior team members in crafting impactful press releases and media pitches.
• Support the comms team by setting up clear ways of working, including mapping a sign-off process, developing an activity calendar, and ensuring best practices.
• Act as a mentor and coach to junior staff, offering constructive feedback and encouraging their development through training and hands-on support.
• Deliver high-quality written content, including website articles, social media updates, and other external and internal communications.
• Be a warm, encouraging sounding board for the team, bringing positivity, energy, and a collaborative approach to the organisation.
• Support and contribute to the charity’s rebranding efforts, including the creation of style guidelines and comms strategies around the launch.
• Provide strategic and hands-on support in all aspects of communications, balancing high-level planning with day-to-day execution.

Person Specification:

• Extensive experience in communications, media, and PR, ideally within the charity or non-profit sector.
• A strong understanding of brand management and rebranding processes.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and support junior staff, with a collaborative and positive approach to leadership.
• Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft compelling press releases, articles, and digital content.
• Ability to work flexibly and get stuck in, whether it’s reviewing a comms strategy or fine-tuning a piece of content.
• A natural relationship-builder who can foster a positive, energetic culture within the team.
• Experience in developing structured processes within a comms team, including sign-off frameworks and editorial calendars.
• Highly organised with the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

About the role

This role is an exciting opportunity to lead the development and delivery of Parkinson’s UK’s Supporter Experience Strategy and specifically the Supporter Engagement Transformation programme, which aims to enhance supporters’ connection and positive feelings towards the charity and its work.

What you’ll do:

• Lead and own the Supporter Engagement Transformation Programme, providing the strategic leadership which will enable the successful implementation and ongoing integration of this critical work
• Hold responsibility for supporter audiences including audience planning and overall retention 
• Oversee the approach to consent, and compliance for supporter audiences, including sponsoring a project to re-imagine our consent model
• Develop the supporter experience measurement framework to support the strategy, ensuring it aligns and drives progress against objectives
• Represent “the supporter” in the charity’s wider vision for “customer journeys”

What you’ll bring:

• A people-first approach, that shows your passion for driving  the work that enhances supporters’ connection and positive feelings towards the charity and its work 
• A collaborative and innovative mindset with demonstrable experience in developing and delivering customer/supporter strategies

The Role
As our Welsh Language Officer you will be an integral member of the Citizens Advice Wales team, part of our Partnerships & Advocacy directorate, and you’ll play a key role in shaping the charity’s Welsh Language strategy.

The role involves influencing national teams, supporting local Citizens Advice in Wales, and you’ll also represent Citizens Advice within Welsh language networks and identify opportunities to support greater access and engagement for clients and colleagues in Wales.

A key aspect of the role involves strategic communication and stakeholder engagement with senior leaders; at Citizens Advice and with stakeholders across Wales including Welsh Government. You’ll also work in partnership with the Welsh Language Commissioner’s office delivering the Cynnig Cymraeg for Citizens Advice and driving forward the “Cymraeg Clir” approach.

Working closely with the Director of Wales and Cymru Advisory group you will shape our Welsh Language strategy and active offer whilst managing translation services and budgets, line manage the Welsh Language Translator, and ensure high-quality Welsh content across platforms.

About the role 

This is a new role and sits in the Fundraising and Digital Directorate. The Fundraising and Digital function is responsible for all the charity’s fundraising, brand, website, social media, emails and lead generation campaigns. This role sits within the Public Fundraising Team, which secures donations from individuals signed up to our newsletters and individuals giving up to £5,000 per year, legators and regular givers.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join Reprieve’s dynamic Development Team to secure vital funding to power our high-impact human rights work. Working across both Reprieve and Reprieve US, you will make a real impact by focusing on Major Donors, corporate partnerships, and events. With proven fundraising experience, you will bring expertise in at least one of these fundraising disciplines. 

Working closely with the Head of Development, you will play a key role in delivering our Major Donor programmes across the UK and US. This includes coordinating stewardship activities for Major Donors and high-profile supporters, as well as assisting in the planning and execution of an exciting events programme – including a high-end art auction planned for the autumn.

Length and Salary

This is a full-time role, on a one-year fixed term contract, with the possibility to extend, subject to funding. The annual salary is £42,193 per annum, less any required deductions for income tax and national insurance. 

This role is based in Reprieve’s London office. Reprieve operates a hybrid working model and we require staff to work two days per week from the London office and the rest of the week from home. Applicants must have the current right to work in the UK, which will be checked prior to interview.

Your presence is important during core office hours, whether remotely or in the office. You will also be available outside of office hours in the event of an emergency, for example case developments that require urgent action. This is a role that may require travel and work outside of core office hours from time to time.

We’ve just secured five years of National Lottery funding to create a brand-new Community Hub in Bexley. This will be a truly shared space—designed with and for our members—where people with a learning disability, autistic people, and the wider community can come together, connect, and grow.

About the role

 As Community Hub Co-ordinator, you’ll lead the launch and development of this exciting new space. You’ll manage the day-to-day running of the Hub, support and line-manage a small team (including staff with lived experience of learning disability or autism), and co-design a wide variety of services, events, and partnerships with our members and community.

You’ll also work with other local organisations and charities to expand the support on offer—exploring exciting ideas like social enterprises, creative groups, advice drop-ins or a community café. This is a hands-on role. Some days you’ll be welcoming people and helping with a session, other days you’ll be planning future activities, liaising with partners, or exploring funding ideas. No two days will be the same.

About You

 You’re proactive, passionate, and organised. You love bringing people together, creating welcoming spaces, and making things happen.

You’ll have experience of managing community-facing services, working with diverse groups (ideally including people with learning disabilities or autistic people), and leading a team.

You’re happy rolling up your sleeves to get things done—and you’re confident developing new ideas, building partnerships, and planning activities.  Being a car driver is a plus (but not essential), and some evening or weekend working may be required. Make a Change 

Make a Change is a community-wide, early response approach to people using abusive behaviours (or who are concerned that they might be) towards a current or ex-partner. The model has been developed by Respect in partnership with Women’s Aid Federation England, drawing inspiration from their Change that Lasts approach. It includes three strands: expert support programme for perpetrators with parallel support for survivors, workforce development and community outreach.

Improving the safety, freedom and wellbeing of adult and child survivors of domestic abuse is a key outcome for our work with perpetrators.  The Make a Change model is a multi-partner project offering local areas a framework for delivering perpetrator work. Where feasible, we aim to establish partnerships with local survivor domestic abuse service to deliver parallel support for survivors (referred to as Integrated Support Service) as part the expert support strand.

We are seeking a Make a Change Development Lead to drive the development and innovation plans for the model for 2025-28. This pivotal role will focus on enhancing the three core strands of Make a Change: Expert Support, Workforce Development, and Community Outreach.

This role requires innovation, leadership and collaboration with a range of stakeholders, ensuring these strands work seamlessly together to achieve meaningful, measurable outcomes for individuals and communities.

You will need to think long-term and understand how different components of the programme fit together. Strong leadership skills are necessary to guide teams, inspire collaboration, and make decisions that will influence both the direction of the programme and its day-to-day operations. You will have a passion for innovation and continuous improvement to develop and test new strategies, tools, and methodologies, ensuring that the programme remains dynamic and responsive to changing needs.

This is an exciting opportunity within a creative and proactive team, where members are encouraged to seek out and share learning. The role focuses on continuously developing our work with perpetrators, contributing to the growing evidence base on effective behaviour change and strategies to keep survivors safe. 

Do you have the expertise to manage complex legacy cases and want to make a meaningful impact?

At Guide Dogs, we are looking for two dedicated Legacy Case Officers to help people with sight loss live the life they choose. In this role, you will provide an accurate and efficient service to process legacies, ensuring they are handled in line with legislation, policy, and best practice. By using your skills, you will contribute to one of our most important income streams, supporting our work in transforming the lives of people with sight loss.

You’ll manage a diverse caseload of pecuniary, residuary, and life interest legacies. You will correspond professionally and sensitively with personal representatives, professional advisers, charity co-beneficiaries, and other stakeholders to resolve legacy cases effectively. Your role will involve preparing briefing notes for Trustees, managing estate and trust account reconciliations, and ensuring that taxes, including Capital Gains, Income, and Inheritance Tax, are handled correctly, safeguarding Guide Dogs’ interests. You’ll also protect Guide Dogs’ position when property or land is involved, securing necessary valuations to achieve the best possible value. Additionally, you will stay up to date with changes in probate, tax, and trust law, ensuring your approach is always in line with the latest regulations and practices.
