An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Manager (Therapies) to join our Therapy Team.

The role of the Business Manager (Therapies) is to provide high quality support to the Director of Therapies & Education and by extension, their directorate. As the Business Manager (Therapies) you will play a vital part in optimising the performance of the Director of Therapies & Education representing the Director in a professional and trusted manner.

You will enhance the Director’s effectiveness by providing information management support, as well as proactively leading on specific projects including budgets, recruitment, retention as well as by researching, collecting, and analysing information and scoping requirements for the School, Rehab and Community therapy teams.

This role is not open to sponsorship.

Role Requirements

• Attend identified meetings across the organisation related to regulatory compliance and track and monitor patterns for quality assurance.
• Track, monitor and plan for mandatory training compliance to be maintained, producing and distributing relevant training / information materials to ensure consistency of advice / guidance.
• Track and monitor sickness and annual leave across the team to provide overview to the Director.
• Lead on updating Risk Registers, working in partnership with Directors and managers to support the review of progress, tracking and actions.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues in own team, across site and with external contacts.
• Lead on the coordination, implementation and monitoring of NHS job planning across the therapies directorate.
• Ability to coordinate comprehensive policies, monitoring the policy register, liaise with critical readers ahead of appropriate committee ratification. Ensure policies are on the correct template and format.
• Support with external visitors and event coordination.
• Diary management & organisation.
• Draft documents on behalf of Director (such as power point decks/ committee papers) as required.
• Undertake other or additional duties that are within your skills and abilities, as the organisation may reasonably require from time to time.
• Work in partnership with the Business Support Managers to establish and embed the roles of Business Support Managers across the organisations.

As Project Manager you will work in partnership with other members of the senior management team to ensure the successful delivery of all Heritage Fund requirements over the next 20 months.  These will include delivery of fabric reports, liaising with our fundraising consultants, scoping and progressing future capital aspirations with stakeholders, fulfilling all Heritage Fund reporting requirements and being a hands on member of the team.

For over 900 years Tewkesbury Abbey has been at the heart of the community - as a place of gathering, worship, celebration and remembrance.  Down the centuries we have been a Benedictine Abbey, a parish church and a place of refuge in times of flood and war. Today the Abbey is a thriving parish church with hundreds coming here to worship each week, drawn by our commitment to daily prayer and our traditional choral worship. We are a ‘Major Church’ within the Church of England, and we are larger than fourteen of our country’s cathedrals. We are also a venue for concerts, large civic events, fairs and festivals working in partnership with colleagues throughout the region. In the past year we have also hosted a number of installations, exhibitions and events, a schools programme, concerts and talks in addition to our usual packed programme of worship and festive services.

Like many heritage assets within the UK, COVID and lockdown presented us with serious challenges to our financial sustainability. We are now responding to those challenges with ambitious plans to double our visitor income and numbers within five years. These plans have been agreed and funded by our Parochial Church Council and are being overseen by our trading arm Tewkesbury Abbey Limited.

We are delighted to have received a £250,000 development grant from the National Lottery Heritage Fund towards our Tewkesbury Abbey Welcoming All project, a wide-ranging programme of works to increase our visitor engagement, including the appointment of new staff, surveys to scope future capital development plans, and testing new commercial activities including entry by donation.  We hope that this will lead to one or more larger-scale capital bids which could result in a longer-term funding relationship to secure the Abbey as a thriving venue, unique heritage asset and national visitor destination.

As Project Manager for the Tewkesbury Abbey Welcoming All project, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating all the activities within it, shaping and delivering the future plans and development of the Abbey.  You will ensure that timescales and budgets are kept to, that the Abbey’s committed team of staff, volunteers and clergy play their part in it, and oversee the recruitment and training of the new team members as we deliver the project. You will be the primary point of contact with the National Lottery Heritage Fund, ensuring that the Fund’s reporting and promotional requirements are fulfilled, and that accurate financial records are kept. The successful candidate will be an experienced project manager and a flexible team player who is looking for an exciting new challenge and the opportunity to shape the next chapter in the life of the Abbey.

Based in London Borough of Enfield, Every Parent & Child’s Starfish Project enables children to develop communication, social and educational skills in order to participate fully in their education and reach their full potential. Children at risk of social exclusion will have access to an enriching programme of support which will enable them to develop communication and life skills. This will lead to an improvement in emotional well-being, more participation in school and the wider community and engagement with learning. The project is funded by Reaching Communities until March 2027.

The founder of the Starfish Project is retiring, and we are looking for an incredible project manager with demonstratable experience in delivering impactful projects in community setting.  The successful postholder will be employed to work term time only (39 weeks) per year.

This role has responsibility for developing and delivering work related learning activities for young people with the aim of enhancing their skills and understanding of future career opportunities and transitioning into apprenticeships.

All delivery is aimed towards enabling young people to learn about apprenticeship opportunities and how to position themselves to apply and move into employment as an apprentice. You will work closely with young people, employers and business volunteers to deliver fun, engaging and labour market-relevant careers related support and workshops to young people participating in the programme in both online and in-person formats. You will have the chance to be creative through planning, delivering and evaluating the programme to ensure that services are current and meet the needs of all stakeholders.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

• Managing development, delivery and coordination of work related learning activities for phase 2 of the Early Connect programme.
• Accountable for achieving agreed outcomes, outputs and personal targets including recruitment, employability training and learner progression targets.
• Managing a caseload of participants requiring Information, Advice & Guidance (IAG), confidence building and employability training.
• Accurately managing data and reporting requirements of funders of the Early Connect programme.
• Identifying suitable referral partners including the Jobcentre and training providers, from which to recruit job seekers and course participants.
• Maintaining and building effective relationships with programme participants and stakeholders.

The charity’s expert mental health support builds emotional resilience to help farming people feel better equipped to tackle the many uncertainties and challenges they face today, whilst its grants empower farming people to become financially resilient.

RABI’s financial support includes targeted, emergency cost-of-living grant campaigns including its Return to School and Winter Fuel campaigns. The charity has provided around £1/4 billion of direct financial support to the farming community over the past 25 years.

ROLE OVERVIEW:

The Philanthropy and Partnerships Manager is responsible for leading and developing RABI’s philanthropy and partnerships donor base, focusing on building and nurturing relationships with major donors, trusts and foundations, corporate partners as well as legacy and in-memory supporters (larger funders).

This plays a pivotal role in shaping RABI’s fundraising strategy, identifying major funding opportunities and creating impactful engagement strategies to secure long-term financial support for the charity’s sustainability.

Relationship building is key to this position, communicating effectively with our donors by enhancing and strengthening relations through cultivation tactics and deepening relationships to ensure robust support from these influential stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive Philanthropy and Partnerships (P&P) fundraising strategy to drive RABI’s fundraising activities and support long-term sustainability. This includes overseeing the cultivation and stewardship of major donors, trusts and foundations, corporate partners as well as legacy and in-memory supporters (larger funders).
• Report on income and expenditure targets, ensuring targets are met and assisting with budget setting.
• Cultivate, solicit and steward relationships with larger funders, ensuring strong and sustained engagement.
• Develop tailored proposals and partnership packages aligned with potential partners’ priorities and interests.
• Manage, identify and build relationships with key corporate funders, negotiate and manage agreements, ensuring clear communication of expected deliverables.

• Responsibility for line management, providing guidance, support and performance feedback to ensure the development and success of team members.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including fundraising, communications, service delivery, business development and external affairs to identify project funding opportunities, share donor insights and collaborate and support the development of other fundraising initiatives.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

Essential

• Demonstrable experience in a senior fundraising role, with a proven track record in securing major funds from larger funders.
• Exceptional major donor management skills, with experience in donor stewardship, partnership development and engagement strategies that build long-term relationships.
• Extensive knowledge and understanding of targeting, segmentation and response analysis.
• Persuasive written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop compelling applications, proposals and donor communications. Capable of tailoring messaging for different audiences and ensuring clarity, consistency and emotional impact.
• Experience of managing a fundraising team and assisting with recruitment and team development.

About The Felix Project
The Felix Project is London’s largest food redistribution charity. Started in 2016, its vision is a London where good food is never wasted, and no one goes hungry. In 2024 our workforce of over 200 staff and 13,000 volunteers collected and distributed the equivalent of 38 million meals to Londoners in need. This is done through a network of 1,200 community organisations and schools who are working on the frontline to feed people who are experiencing hunger and cannot afford to regularly buy the food they need. The Felix Project works with hundreds of suppliers from across the food industry, including supermarkets, wholesalers, farms and restaurants to rescue high quality surplus food, that cannot be sold and would otherwise go to waste. 

In London, one in for working families regularly struggle to afford to feed their children, equating to an estimated 325,000 families across the capital. The cost of food has increased by 30% in the past three years and one in eight working families have less than £3 a day for food, after paying their bills. About 20% of working families have been forced to access a food support service for the first time during 2024 due to the rising cost of living. 

Our work has never been more needed, and demand continues to grow: we are building our expertise and impact in response. The Felix Project now operates from four main depots in North, South, East, and West London, with ‘point-to-point’ projects in Central London and Canary Wharf. Felix’s Kitchen in our East London depot produces up to 5,000 meals per day from surplus food. Felix’s Multibank in West London distributes non-food items to those who need it most. As part of the charity’s involvement with The Coronation Food Project, we are launching an innovative food processing lab – The Felix Food Factory. 

Purpose of the Job

The Felix Project is looking for a talented individual to help manage and support on implementing their corporate partnerships strategy. This role will sit within our growing Corporate Partnerships Team as part of the wider Fundraising & Marketing Team. The purpose of this role will be to lead on the development of new business in conjunction with the Corporate Partnership Managers, while also building upon our existing pipeline of future opportunities. The HAF Project Manager is the strategic lead for the HAF programme. You will manage a budget of over £800,000, make commissioning decisions, and ensure strong due diligence processes and quality control. You will collaborate with HAF provider organisations from the voluntary and community sectors, ensuring high-quality delivery. Additionally, you will work closely with YCF colleagues to communicate the impact of HAF, represent YCF in senior spaces, and assist in reporting to YCF’s Board of Trustees.

Working closely with Camden’s Children’s Commissioning team and YCF’s CEO you will ensure that each HAF programme in Camden offers participating children and young people a diverse and enjoyable range of activities provided by respected organisations, operating at the highest levels of safety, quality, and in alignment with the Department for Education’s funding requirements. You will report to YCF’s CEO and to Camden Council on the programme’s delivery and impact, and will lead on all reporting.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience or interest in cross-sector partnership work, with programme management experience, and a drive to make a difference in the lives of children and young people. The role requires self-awareness, the ability to learn quickly, and a willingness to pitch in with the wider work of YCF, as we are a small team with limited resources.

The evaluation team works with schools and organisations, analysing the impact of programmes and interventions to help them do more of what works and less of what doesn’t. We work with more than 1,400 schools and 80 education organisations, serving more than a quarter of million pupils. This includes helping our partners to design high-quality research projects, delivering them, and providing systems and tools for data collection, reporting and impact benchmarking.

The Opportunity

The Manager role works across ImpactEd Evaluation. Our partners encompass education organisations such as charities, edtech organisations and government, and schools and multi-academy Trusts. We aim to deliver high-quality research and evaluation projects that help our partners make better decisions to benefit young people.

You will act as a consultant on a range of different partnerships to help partners develop their evaluation strategy and approach. For example, you could deliver independent evaluations for organisations like the Careers and Enterprise Company, Nesta or multi-academy Trusts such as Lift Schools. You will also have opportunities to contribute to development of team strategy and learning and development resources.

As a manager you will act as a project lead, delivering high-quality research projects at scale, and support the creation of specific deliverables for projects led by others. This covers the end to end of research design and delivery, including the creation of Theories of Change and evaluation frameworks, data collection and analysis, and impact reporting to help our partners learn about the effectiveness of their programmes. At manager level you will have the opportunity to take on larger-scope partnerships supported by a project sponsor at senior manager level or above.

We are open to a range of backgrounds, but would expect prior experience of research and evaluation delivery and partnership management. Key responsibilities of the role include:

Administrative Support

• Undertake administrative duties as directed by the Supplementary Schools Partnerships Manager and the Community Development Manager.
• Maintain information on records and databases as required
• Produce letters, reports, action sheets and documents, as necessary
• Set up meetings and take minutes, as required
• Assist with administrative tasks for project planning
• Manage administration associated with accreditation and awarding bodies for Quality Mark assessments as required
• Carry out administrative duties in relation to registers, cancellations, course documentation and course evaluations data

Knowledge and Experience:

• At least one years’ administrative experience working in a busy office

engagement. As a platform, TEP captures and reports on engagement across various dimensions and 
stakeholder groups: pupils and students, parents and carers, employees and community stakeholders. TEP 
helps schools to understand and act on this data. The platform's ability to track changes over time enables 
schools to measure the impact of their interventions, ensuring that their engagement strategies are effective 
and adjusted as needed. This action-oriented approach ensures that school engagement is not simply a metric 
or backward-looking accountability tool, it is core to school improvement. 

Alongside providing detailed school and Multi-Academy Trust level insights, we are building the national 
evidence base around school engagement as a lead indicator. Our research unit provides national insights and 
research publications to support school level insight and build better sector understanding of school employee 
engagement. We engage with the TEP school community to provide research insights, case studies and best 
practice examples to support their practice.

The Role

Day-to-day the role will involve partnership management of our schools and Trust partners to support their use and understanding of our platform and its insights. The role will also build community engagement with our national research projects and support wider partnership and network building. About You

We are open to a range of backgrounds though it is likely that the successful candidate will be a qualified teacher or has significant experience working in schools or education. The role is flexible and based in our central Leeds office, alongside some in person attendance at events, conferences and delivery of workshops across the UK.
