This is an exciting time to be joining the Board of BMS World Mission. As a trustee, you will be joining at a time of transformation. The phenomenal growth of the Church in the Majority World is arguably the most significant development in Christianity in the 21st century. While the Church in the West has struggled, in Africa, Asia, and Latin America it thrives. This reality has presented unprecedented opportunities for the spread of the gospel, as mission becomes from everywhere to everywhere.
We are currently looking for two trustees, including a safeguarding trustee.
To maintain the gender balance on our Board, we welcome female applicants for this role.

Based at Depden Care Farm in rural Suffolk, our programmes combine purposeful agricultural and horticultural work with personalised support.

So what does the Trustee role at Millennium Farm Trust look like?
This really is an exciting time to join us and contribute to our charity’s Board and use your professional skills to make an impact on our collaborative discussions!
As a trustee at MFT, you’ll support us in tasks such as; reviewing and advising on organisational policies, business plans, along with helping to promote our work and impact within the community. As well as attending quarterly board meetings, you’ll also participate in one or more subcommittees, providing oversight and input on specific areas such as finance, HR, safeguarding, or education.

We’re looking for Pool Spotter Volunteers to support our children, young people and families at our Birmingham Hospice.
At Acorns we provide care and support for life limited or life threatened children and their families. We have three hospices in the West Midlands, which provide a happy homely environment where children can experience all kinds of great activities, meet new friends or relax and enjoy some quiet time.
Pool Spotter Volunteers need to be lifeguard trained and we provide this training free for our volunteers. Training takes 6 hours over a 1 day period and volunteers are required to retrain every 2 years.
Volunteering with us is flexible. Once sessions are planned, you choose the sessions you help with. We ask that you offer a minimum of two sessions (1-3 hours) per month. You may be asked to attend occasional meetings and additional training sessions
Volunteers are required to complete an Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) Check, which we will pay for and process for you.

Would you like to help tackle loneliness, one conversation at a time?
Loneliness and isolation can have devastating effects on a person’s mental and physical health. We are a registered charity providing a pathway of support to alleviate the hurt and distress, and the impact on mental and physical health, caused by loneliness and social isolation.
The aim of face-to-face Individual Support is to provide in-person supportive social contact for people who are hurt by loneliness.
Volunteers support Friends (people who use our services) on a one-to-one basis. After completing training, volunteers will be linked with a Friend who they will meet out of the home (usually for a coffee or a walk) or if the Friend is unable to leave their home for physical or mental/emotional health reasons, they will visit them at home. This is arranged at a mutually convenient time and usually takes place around once every two weeks.
We ask volunteers to think of this as a longer term volunteer role due to the training and time we take in order to give our volunteers, and Friends, the very best service. You will also need to consider occasional time spent in training for your role and for continuous development.
For all our roles:
Due to our Safeguarding regulations, unfortunately we are only able to accept applications from UK residents.
Enhanced DBS checks for working with vulnerable adults (formerly called criminal records bureau checks) which we will organise (no cost to this) and two references are required.
For any roles involving driving Archway Friends, we will need to see evidence of insurance and driving license as well as MOT and tax documents for the vehicle to be used.
We will happily cover out of pocket expenses (eg mileage or costs for coffee out with Archway Friend).
We provide training relevant to the roles as well as ongoing supervision, guidance and support for all volunteers.

Main responsibilities
·Welcome families, visitors, and professionals to the Family Centre in a friendly and professional manner.
·Answer telephone calls and take messages accurately.
·Assist staff with administrative tasks such as photocopying, filing, and preparing resources.
·Input data into systems, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
·Help maintain an organised and tidy reception and office space.
·Support the preparation of publicity materials, newsletters, and information displays.
·Signpost visitors to the appropriate staff member for further support.
·Uphold safeguarding, confidentiality, and health & safety policies at all times.
Skills / Abilities / Experience / Qualities
·Friendly, welcoming, and professional manner.

Senior Fundraising Manager
Purpose:
To design, lead, and oversee a powerful multi-channel fundraising strategy that supports the CIC’s mission, volunteer expansion, and community-impact programs.
Key Tasks:

Develop and execute a high-level fundraising strategy across individual giving, corporate partnerships, grants, community fundraising, and online campaigns

Build the infrastructure for our upcoming Volunteer Fundraising Ambassador Programme, including training pathways, scripts, tools, and reporting systems

Lead the development of both in-person and digital fundraising models, ensuring they are ethical, transparent, and scalable
-
Manage relationships with high-value donors, trust funders, partners, and community stakeholders

Analyse fundraising data, forecast income, and build systems for tracking donor engagement

Work closely with leadership to ensure fundraising aligns with the CIC’s decentralised, community-first mission
-
Provide mentorship and guidance to the Digital Campaign Fundraising Manager and junior fundraising volunteers
