We are looking for a Head of Health & Wellbeing who will be responsible for the strategic development of the Trust’s health and wellbeing provision. Managing and overseeing the delivery and development of existing programmes, as well as staff associated with them.
Our Head of Health & Wellbeing will work with a range of partners across the public, private and voluntary sectors to further enhance our range of activities, as well as creating new health and wellbeing initiatives which meet local priorities.

Your Roles and Responsibilities, but Not Limited To:
- Lead, develop, and support staff you manage by offering advice, guidance and an inclusive working environment.
- Develop a Trust internal wellbeing group in line with the People Strategy to create a positive and supportive working environment.
- To develop and foster positive relationships with key stakeholders and external agencies at a senior level to implement new health and wellbeing initiatives which meet the Trust’s strategic objectives, as well as supporting local health and wellbeing priorities.
- Take responsibility for developing a Health and Wellbeing Strategy to direct the Trust’s health and wellbeing provision.
- Take responsibility for monitoring programme budgets, funding meetings and liaising with partners throughout the lifetime of projects/initiatives, ensuring that the Trust’s obligations detailed in contracts/SLA’s are met.
- Set appropriate budgets and oversee, manage, and monitor these, to ensure the targets are achieved.
- Work with the Community Director and funding officer to identify and submit relevant grants, funding applications, and tenders/bids for commissioned work.
- Secure funding and increase unrestricted income streams to support on-going programme delivery and sustainability of the department.
- Oversee the implementation of a robust, high-quality data capture process to ensure the department can evidence impact and social value of its programmes through a variety of methods such as reports, case studies, testimonies, media articles, and feedback surveys.
You Must Have:
- Significant experience of line managing, leading and developing staff and volunteers creating a strong team culture and inclusive working environment.
- Success in building relationships both internally and externally, working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.
- Proven experience of working at management / leadership level.
- Experienced in project management, ability to prioritise and manage multiple workstreams and completing priorities.
- Sound experience of setting and managing budgets.
- Proven track record of securing funding for projects or initiatives including local, regional and national funders through partnership work and / or bid writing.
- Ability to identify trends and analyse data to inform decision making.
- An experience of leading, and commitment to, equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) and safeguarding.
- A level 3 (‘A’ Level or equivalent) qualification or higher in a health-related subject, or other relevant subject area.
- A full and valid UK Driving Licence, as well as access to a vehicle for work.
- Influential communicator with a range of audiences, and the ability to use a range of different mediums, with written skills to an excellent standard.
- Ability to work calmly under pressure, meet deadlines and have an attention to detail.
- Excellent negotiation, interpersonal and relationship management skills to build and maintain strong professional relationships and connect with partners priorities.
- Ability to work collaboratively and flexibly as part of a team with differing views and needs.
- Have a flexible approach to work and be able to work unsociable hours (including some evenings and weekends).
You Ideally Would Have:
- Knowledge and understanding of the health priorities across Hertfordshire and Harrow.
- Experience of putting together service level agreements/contracts for project partners.
- Experience of using IT systems to monitor and evaluate the delivery of services.
- Experience of event management.
- Valid Emergency Aid and Safeguarding children and vulnerable adults’ certificates (or willing to complete these prior to commencing in the role).
- Minimum Level 3 Personal Trainer Qualification and GP referral Qualification.
- Educated to Degree Level - Health and Fitness Related.

Hebridean Whale and Dolphin Trust (HWDT) is a marine conservation charity based on the Isle of Mull. This role is responsible for the development and delivery of HWDT’s new education project, Hebridean Marine Explorers - Connecting Scotland’s seas and communities.
The Education Officer will develop and deliver:

Educating young people on land and at sea is key to the role so we are seeking a confident, enthusiastic, organised self-motivator, familiar working with schools and young people, with outstanding communication skills. Experience of marine mammal surveys and the ability to identify cetacean species in the Scottish waters is also essential to the role.
We are looking for somebody experienced in teaching and delivering environmental education activities and training for young people, ideally with knowledge of co-design project delivery and its implementation within a primary school environment.
Our ideal candidate will have experience coordinating a funded project and the skills to provide effective communication, evaluation, and reporting against project targets.
The ability to work with external partners, the wider team of HWDT staff and boat crew to deliver project outcomes and a genuine interest in cetaceans and marine conservation is essential. An understanding of the workings of a charity/NGO would be an advantage.
A valid medical fitness certificate (i.e. ML5 or ENG1) and PVG check is required for the role.

Duties and Responsibilities
1. Leadership
- Ensure smooth and efficient operations through strategic and effective operational management.

3. Facilities & Property Management

- Develop and oversee maintenance schedules, capital improvement plans, and risk management strategies.
- Ensure effective management of utilities, repairs, and external contractor relationships.
- Oversee security, fire safety, and infrastructure projects.
4. Companion Community & Wellbeing
- Oversee the Community Manager in ensuring a safe, supportive, and empowering environment for companions.
- Work with the team to develop individual progression plans, enabling companions to build skills and move towards independence.
- Ensure that companions are meaningfully engaged in charity operations and social enterprise activities.
- Implement safeguarding policies and best practices for supporting vulnerable individuals.
5. Financial & Budget Management
- Work with the CEO and Finance Manager to oversee budgets, financial planning, and cash flow management.
- Manage financial performance across the social enterprise, facilities, and community services.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and revenue-generation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, charity governance, and reporting requirements.
6. People Management & Organisational Culture
- Lead and develop the Operations, Property & Facilities, and Community Managers, ensuring high levels of motivation and performance.
- Establish and oversee effective recruitment, training, and performance management processes.

The role
In your role as Finance Officer, you will carry out a range of duties to assist the Head of Finance with the smooth running of the Finance department and provide finance support and advice to other departments in the Hospice.
We are looking for a focussed and self-motivated individual, who has experience in financial support and undertaking financial tasks including payroll. You will have good communication skills and be able to effectively prioritise your workload and to work under your own initiative. You will be familiar with a range of IT and finance systems.
The successful candidate will:
· Be highly numerate and literate
· Have excellent attention to detail
· Have previous experience of providing finance administrative support in a multidisciplinary environment
· Qualified, or part qualified AAT/CIPFA
The role is available 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 4.30pm (Friday 4pm finish), on a salary of £27,033 - £29,921 per annum.

- Help maintain the policy foresight dashboard, organize quarterly scanning sessions, and present findings to senior leadership and trustees
Policy Analysis & Development
- Analyse UK meningitis policies, focusing on immunization and support for affected individuals.
- Track UK immunization developments, vaccine policies, and public health initiatives related to meningitis prevention.
- Provide global meningitis policy analysis, including WHO’s Global Roadmap to Defeat Meningitis and brain health initiatives.
- Draft briefings, position papers, and reports on key meningitis-related topics for internal and external use.
- Support responses to health-related consultations in the UK and globally.
Collaboration & Engagement
- Build relationships with UK policy stakeholders, including government bodies, NHS England, and advocacy groups.
- Work with Advocacy, CoMO, and Support teams to ensure the insights reflect the experiences of those affected by meningitis
- Collaborate with Research colleagues to align research findings with policy development.
- Partner with the Communications team to share policy positions externally.
- Represent MRF at events, conferences, and network meetings.
Policy Strategy & Operational Plans
- Assist in delivering operational objectives for Health Insights & Policy.
- Support other international and national policy activities as needed.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience in health policy in the UK and internationally, especially infectious diseases.
- Conducted policy research, written reports and briefs, and evaluated their impact.
- Understanding of UK government, healthcare system, health policy landscape, and parliamentary processes.
- Experience in international development or global health is desirable.
- Able to build strong relationships quickly.
- Can translate complex arguments for varied audiences.
- Experience presenting to stakeholders in various forums.
- Strong analytical, writing, and proofreading skills.
- Proficiency in a second European language, ideally French or Spanish.
What we offer you
- £31,500 to £34,999 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
- 2% employee pension contribution + 6% employer pension contribution.
- Flexible working arrangements between work and home. Fully remote working is also available.
- 25 days' holiday.
- This position is a 2-year fixed-term contract. This post is currently funded from reserves. If funding allows, the post could be made permanent following the end of this contract

As the Marketing and Fundraising Officer, you'll manage and deliver high-quality brand awareness and acquisition campaigns across a variety of channels, including TV, digital, and face-to-face. Overall job purpose
This is a fundamental role within our North regional team, internally the role is known as Local Community Officer. The future of CCT’s outstanding collection of historic churches depends on communities supporting their local CCT church with funds, events, inspiring interpretation, visitor services and preventive conservation. The Local Community Officer will engage and support communities and volunteers to care for 23 historic churches across Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Merseyside, W. Yorkshire, N. Yorkshire (part), ensuring each site achieves agreed standards.
Key relationships
You will work closely with the Lead Local Community Officer (North), regional and national colleagues, volunteers, community groups and other local stakeholders.
