As the Senior Volunteering Manager, you’ll be someone that can inspire people that you manage and wider staff in the team, and help lead key areas of our volunteering programme.

You’ll be someone who sets high expectations for the people that you manage, ensuring that they deliver the best experience possible for our volunteers through quality programme delivery and outcomes. You’ll do this through empowering them to deliver whilst supporting their professional development and investing in their skills.

This role will be responsible for some key department projects, setting expectations and targets with colleagues across the team, learning from our data, leading quality within our programme and looking to develop new ways of working.

Location: Remote (UK based) / Bristol / London

Salary: £29,450 (Grade 3) per year pro rata (plus Inner London Weighting of £3,483.94, if eligible)

Length of contract: 4 month fixed term contract with the potential to extend

Hours per week: 22.5

Who are Women’s Aid?

Women’s Aid is the national charity working to end domestic abuse against women and children. We are a federation of just under 180 organisations which provide over 300 local lifesaving services to women and children across England. For 50 years we have campaigned on behalf of our members and survivors to shape policy and practice, and to raise awareness of domestic abuse.

Our support services, which include our Live Chat, the Survivors’ Forum, the No Woman Turned Away Project, the Survivor’s Handbook, Love Respect (our dedicated website for young people), the national Women’s Aid Directory and our advocacy projects, help thousands of women and children every year. 

Purpose of the Training & Admin Officer role: 

As Training & Admin Officer, the successful candidate will play an integral role in the delivery of the On Track program, specially it’s training programme and provide support for the wider Research and Evaluation team. On Track is Women’s Aid case management and outcomes monitoring system. It has been designed to empower local domestic abuse services to collect robust evidence of impact as part of their everyday work

Key duties and responsibilities of the Training & Admin Officer:

• Monitor incoming enquiries about On Track from members and organisations, keeping accurate records of interested services, answering queries and following up with those services who have expressed interest.
• Provide information and updates to organisations using On Track, produce bi-monthly On Track Insider newsletter
• Deliver workshops on OASIS On Track, its forms and its processes and on monitoring and evaluation and demonstrating impact.
• Monitor the On Track email inbox and answer enquiries from organisations using the system and advise on best course of action.
• Maintenance and administration of our e-learning platform
• Support in the promotion of the On Track workshop program, including drafting communications
• Maintenance of the Research & Evaluation Teams mailing lists using the CRM
• Sending out mailings on behalf of the Research & Evaluation Team
• Covering of Research and evaluation inboxes where needed
• Support in set up and delivery of Research and Evaluation events, mainly online webinars
• Other support or tasks required by the Research and Evaluation team

What we are looking for in our Training & Admin Officer:

• Knowledge and understanding of how organisations can collect, analyse and use impact and outcomes data and the range of methods and tools that can be used.
• Knowledge and experience of delivering online training
• Understanding of domestic abuse and it’s impacts on women & children
• Experience of group facilitation and of building/maintaining strong relationships
• Excellent verbal, written and computer skills
• Detail orientated and the ability to work to a high standard of accuracy
• Ability to provide training and support, ideally on the use of case management systems and around research, monitoring and evaluation

JOB PURPOSE

The Senior Manager, Partnerships role makes a vital contribution to our objective to bring about transformative change for children. The key focus of this role is to secure income generation from Trusts, Foundations and Institutional Funders. The team is set to raise over £3.2 million in 2024 and has ambitions to grow this further in future years.

As Senior Manager, Partnerships you will identify, cultivate, secure and steward major gifts from existing and prospective donors who can support Lumos, usually at the five or six figure level. In your role you will build and foster positive relationships with grant-making organisations and institutions (bi-laterals and multilaterals), providing excellent stewardship and account management and drafting compelling and comprehensive proposals and reports.

You will work with colleagues and stakeholders in the Fundraising and Engagement Team as well as across our global organisation, including the Executive Leadership Team, Programmes Team, Country Teams and our Board of Trustees to effectively cultivate prospective partners, support existing partnerships and prioritise and progress opportunities.

KEY OBJECTIVES

Income generation:

• Pro-actively research and cultivate relationships with donors, especially Trusts, Foundations and Institutional Donors.

• Work with the Head of Partnerships, Director of Programmes, Chief Executive, Country Teams as well as existing supporters to maximise their networks and introduce new partnerships to Lumos.

Relationship management and stewardship:

• Provide exceptional relationship management and execute tailored cultivation and stewardship plans for prospective and existing donors. • Develop high quality communications for donors, including proposals, reports and stewardship materials.

• From time to time, represent Lumos at events and meetings to grow our network of supporters and contacts.

• Work collaboratively to strategically manage and maximise funding opportunities.

• Work with Fundraising and Programmes colleagues, via regular structured communication, to identify synergies between organisational priorities and funding opportunities and trends, and to develop funding propositions, detailed financial information and reports.

• Use the Salesforce database to maintain accurate records of opportunities, income, donor communication and interactions and to monitor prospecting activity and progress towards KPIs.

Other responsibilities:

• Keep abreast of fundraising trends and challenges, and the legal and regulatory environment.

• Manage, monitor and report on income against targets and contribute to monthly, quarterly and annual reporting to ELT and Trustees.

• Contribute towards annual planning and strategy development with the wider team.

37 hours per week / Permanent / Hybrid (three days onsite and two from home) Monday-Thursday, 9am-5pm, Friday 9am-4.30pm.

YMCA DownsLink Group has been delivering counselling and therapeutic services to children, young people and families through our YMCA Dialogue Service in community and school settings for over 25 years.

We are looking for an experienced Service Manager to join our innovative and skilled counselling service to lead operational plans in line with organisation strategy and local strategic priorities, designing and developing a range of evidence-based therapeutic interventions to meet the needs of children and young people aged 11 to 18 years. You will manage and review performance against contract KPI’s and support the engagement of service users in co-production and participatory activities.

In delivering the role, you will work closely with the Clinical Lead, Team Managers and Head of Service, you will manage the continuing growth and development of our community-based children and young people’s counselling and wellbeing services in West Sussex. You will hold operational responsibility for the West Sussex Single Point of Access (SPOA) partnership, working alongside SPFT and the Youth Emotional Support service management and delivery teams to provide an effective referral pathway to support services for children and young people in West Sussex.

In addition, you will manage the development and operational delivery of services, providing line management support to the team, and be accountable for the financial performance of the service through the setting, administering and review of budgets. You will work closely with senior colleagues to assess business opportunities, tendering for and maintaining contracts.

You will already have experience of working in a managerial or Lead capacity in Counselling and Mental Health Services for Children and Young People. You will have working knowledge of Trauma Informed Care and Psychologically Informed Environments and be able to hold a supervisory caseload, providing consultation to peers, colleagues, stakeholders and external agencies. You will have good communication and facilitation skills and the ability to successfully manage challenging and changing priorities whilst remaining calm and solution focused. You will already have substantial knowledge of and experience in Safeguarding and the assessment of risk for both clients and services and be able to work closely with internal and external partners to review and implement policy and procedural change.

In addition, you will have experience in the implementation of clinical structures, clinical governance, supervision processes and clinical eligibility/thresholds.

Starlight is the national charity transforming children’s health through play. We work 
to ensure that every child can benefit from the incredible power of play, supporting 
their mental and physical health during treatment and recovery from illness.
Play is not just a ‘nice to have’, without play, children can experience short, and 
long-term problems. In fact, it’s so important, that being able to engage in play is 
one of the human rights listed in the UN’s Convention on the Rights of the Child.
Without play, problems faced can range from anxiety around having blood tests 
which could mean appointments being abandoned and rescheduled, to developing 
PTSD and a fear around visiting hospitals and healthcare settings. It’s not 
uncommon for health play specialists to have to meet children in the car park as 
they are too scared to even set foot inside the hospital.
Each year, there are nearly 1.8 million child hospital admissions in the UK and 
nearly three-quarters (71%) of NHS trusts and health boards do not have any 
budget for play.

This is simply not good enough; we think that play in healthcare is non-negotiable.
Driven by our research and insights into what works best for them, we provide direct 
services and resources for children and their families; and to the health 
professionals working with them. We also advocate for more and better health play 
services in public policy; and promote the full recognition of health play practitioners 
as an integral component of the children’s health workforce.
Our Health Play Services Delivery team provide physical and digital materials and 
resources which support the delivery of health play to practitioners and families. 
These are informed by insight, evidence and evaluation from our Insight and Impact 
Team.
Central to these materials and resources is our range of Boxes which contain toys 
and activities specifically selected to help children relax, distract, and engage to 
ensure their treatment can be carried out as quickly and effectively as possible with 
minimal stress. 
The current Health Play Services Delivery Manager is about to be seconded to a 
new Commercial Development role, initially for 6-months, as we shape the 
development of a new source of income for Starlight through paid for services. 
There may be the possibility of an extension to this contract depending upon the 
outcome of the secondment.
The Health Play Services Delivery Manager, reporting to our Head of Play leads the 
end-to-end process of our services. You’ll need experience in the operational 
management of service delivery and experience of working with the NHS and in 
children’s services would be an advantage. You’ll work across all areas from 
procurement through stock control to the logistics of delivery and you’ll build 
relationships internally and externally to ensure efficient, effective, high quality 
service delivery and excellent customer relationship management. Reporting 
directly to the Head of Play, you’ll manage the Service Delivery Co-ordinator and
the Service Data Officer within the Hospital Services Team.

The Communications and Events Manager will lead on overall execution of TSA communications and events, working closely with the Joint Chief Executive. The role is one of the most front-facing and proactive offered at the TSA.

Events

• Manage and oversee all aspects of TSA face-to-face events. Our events include the annual community event ‘Big Day’, and our annual event for adults mildly affected by TSC (called ‘Outlook’)
• Manage and oversee our range of monthly virtual events. Including bookings, forward planning and ongoing calendar management of future events and speakers
• Maintain calendar(s) of internal and external events
• Ensure risk assessments and safeguarding policies are applied appropriately

Strategic support

• Provide support into the overall communications and events strategy of the charity, including annual implementation plans
• Proactively and regularly review the impact and success of communications and events, by providing a range of opportunities for attendees and other TSC audiences to provide feedback and input into these areas

• Help to develop, and then implement and support, comprehensive community engagement

We are seeking an experienced candidate with a great understanding and knowledge of individual giving, who shows great leadership skills and the ability to collaborate across teams to maximise opportunities to achieve organisational growth.

The role will manage the Donor Acquisition Fundraiser and In-Memory Fundraiser and be responsible for the overall delivery of our individual giving strategy.

As the Individual Giving Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the planning and implementation of our individual giving programme of fundraising and activities, aimed at individuals. It will be the Individual Giving Manager’s responsibility to generate significant income through individual gifts, campaigns and appeals, regular giving, in memoriam giving, lottery and legacies, and to increase activity and income from these sources.

Your primary focus will be on recruiting new donors, retention through a gold standard supporter journey and income growth for these vital areas of fundraising, all while leading a dedicated team. You will be responsible for delivering innovative and creative appeals as well as supporting the fundraisers responsible for in-memory and donor acquisition to achieve their targets and objectives.

Individual Giving is a growing income stream for Birmingham Hospice, and this have been recognised by the Executive Team who are investing in this area, in particular regular giving and legacies.

Advance has partnered with Catch 22 to deliver services to young victims of crime in London. In recognition of the distinct challenges facing young women and girls (YWG), Advance will deliver a dedicated service to young women and girls (aged 13 to 18) who have been a victim or witness of crime. The YWG Victim Service will provide support to YWG across all London boroughs in our safe, YWG-only spaces and in the community. The YWG Victim Service offers specialist support designed to enable YWG to escape harm and to thrive in their lives and aspirations. The YWG Victim Service achieves this by supporting YWG to build confidence, self-esteem and resilience, manage their health and wellbeing and access and engage with other support services.

The Service Manager will lead and manage Advance’s YWG Victim Service, delivering effective management of a team of frontline Advocates, as well as collaborating with Catch 22 to ensure the Advance team and its service delivery are embedded in the wider CYP Victims Services delivered by Catch 22.

About You:

You will have experience of managing frontline staff, supporting them to follow service delivery processes and procedures to ensure effective and safe service delivery to achieve positive outcomes for young women and girls accessing the Victims and Witnesses service. You will have excellent time management skills to ensure service outcomes are monitored and reported on in a timely and effective manner. You will also have excellent communication skills that will allow you to build good working relationships with your team, the wider organisation and external delivery partners. You will be able to reflect and adapt to manage change and enhance working practices, as well as supporting your team through change. About You 

Our client are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic data insights manager to help them make the most of their existing data across The Trusts, alongside developing new innovations to improve understanding of their supporters, their contribution to nature’s recovery and the values that the public place on nature. 

They are looking for a skilled data specialist to help to draw together and take forward data insights work across The Trusts. Working directly to the Director for Climate Change and Evidence, the postholder will lead on and manage our existing large-scale data insights projects, including the Great Big Nature Survey (the largest UK-wide survey of nature values); oversee the analysis of internal data collected across the federation of Trusts; and undertake data analysis of external impact, from brand awareness to major public engagement programmes such as 30 Days’ Wild. In addition, the postholder will lead a new programme of work on how to better understand the impact, and support the coordination of data activities across relevant teams within the Trusts.
