About us
We work in collaboration with grassroots groups, campaigners and frontline organisations through a legal hub model building capacity through legal education and advocating through legal action across three overlapping priority areas: state accountability; housing and land; migrants’ rights & racial justice. We mainly do this through legal representation and strategic litigation in public law, actions against public authorities and housing law. We are also instructed to represent a number of individuals and groups/organisations in public inquiries, including the Undercover Policing Inquiry and the Covid Inquiry.
We have grown steadily and cautiously since becoming independent in 2019 and we are now seeking to consolidate the organisation’s core functions.
PILC is currently made up of 20 staff, hybrid-working from our offices in Cambridge Heath, E2.
About you
We are seeking a People Manager with expertise in fostering a positive and healthy working culture to reflect and feed into PILC’s movement lawyering approach.
Whilst you do not need to have prior charity experience, you will feel closely aligned to PILC’s organisational values so that our work ethic is reflected internally, staff are well supported and we continue to support our grassroots partners in their fight for radical social change.
You will be able to build trust and respect through excellent interpersonal skills. You will also have experience of managing change within the work setting. You will be both self-sufficient and enjoy working collaboratively, whether as part of the senior management team or with other colleagues in the organisation.

About the role

As we enter our 16th Birthday year, We Are Survivors are currently looking for an individual that has the passion, drive and determination to help us deliver our OUT Spoken Talking Therapy Services in our Greater Manchester and Merseyside estates (on a part-time basis). As we continue to provide services in prisons across the Northwest.
We Are Survivors provide survivor-focused therapeutic and advocacy support to male (including Trans and Non-binary) victims/survivors, and their loved ones, of sexual harms. We have developed a three-tiered approach to services and underpin everything we do with a ‘trauma and recovery’ framework pioneered by Dr Judith Herman.
We are currently commissioned to deliver trauma-informed therapy services in 15 prisons across the Northwest of England and we need your help delivering these services in the following estates:
· HMP Garth.
· HMP Hindley.
· HMP Haverigg.
Believe you are right for this role?
You will be a qualified counsellor / psychotherapist who holds at least a Diploma in Counselling / Psychotherapy or equivalent and be registered with BACP or equivalent (preferably an accredited member). You will understand issues relating to trauma, be able to work as part of a team and feel confident working in a prison setting.
In return for your time, experience, and commitment to the organisation, you will receive an annual salary of £27,810; 33 days annual leave (increasing annually by 1 day to max of 30 days); birthday leave; company sick pay; monthly clinical supervision; pension contribution; a range of training opportunities; and access to different benefit schemes.
Note: salary and annual leave is based on WTE. We may also consider the opportunity to job share.

Role Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Data Coordinator to join our team. About the Impact and Evaluation project: Open Door seeks to gain a deeper understanding of its impact on young people's mental health by analysing data from individuals supported during 2023/24 and 2024/25. We have existing comprehensive and robust data at Open Door, including clinical outcome measures, service user feedback, demographic data and more, and are now seeking to analyse this large dataset to evaluate and improve our services. We are seeking to better understand who benefits the most from our services and identify those for whom our impact is less significant.
About Open Door: Open Door is a Young People’s mental health charity, that has been based in the London Borough of Haringey for 48 years. It aims is to improve the mental health and life-chances of young people in Haringey, by providing access to effective psychotherapy and counselling.
We provide an ‘Open Door’ to free, high quality psychological therapy to 12–24 year-olds delivered by experienced and highly trained clinicians. Open Door also supports parents and carers, struggling with the issues their children face. We aim for access to our service to be as simple as possible and over half of those we support self-refer.
Many young people who come to us are experiencing significant mental health difficulties and have faced barriers to statutory services.
Open Door delivers evidence informed practice and has been commended for our ambitious approach to outcome driven care. We have recently been shortlisted for a Health Service Journal (HSJ) Award for our work improving the mental health of young people, who have been impacted by inequality, in Haringey.
Open Door is community embedded, integrated into the local mental health infrastructure, commissioned by North Central London Integrated Care Board and part of the Haringey Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service single-point-of-access. We have a strategic voice which is used to advocate for young people’s mental health and influence practice. Last year we supported nearly 900 young people, parents and carers and offered over 9000 appointments.

The Deputy Chief Executive role is a critical leadership role for the Charity. The role holder will deputise for the Charity Chief Executive providing strategic leadership and effective governance of the Charity, its Trading Arm, and all Shared Services.
The Deputy Chief Executive will oversee Union Development and Talent work to support students’ unions in line with the their Charity Strategy. They will also be responsible for supporting the strategic work around Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion. The Charity adopt a flexible approach to line management and project management. Other direct reporting lines and key projects will be agreed based on strengths and experience. For example, if the successful candidate has a strong commercial background, they may also be asked to line manage the Trading Support function.
