We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Area Support Coordinator to lead, manage and support teams of volunteers, develop, and maintain relationships with local services, and ensure that people living with and affected by MND receive an exceptional service, improved support, and are at the heart of our care initiatives.
A fundamental part of the role is ensuring individuals affected by MND receive tailored support. Your responsibilities will include leading and coordinating volunteer activities, developing branch and group capacity, and establishing new groups as needed.
A key focus will be understanding local needs and collaboratively planning, designing, and delivering support activities. You will build and maintain excellent relationships with our wonderful volunteers, care centres/networks, care coordinators and multi-disciplinary health and social care professionals, hospices, other partners.
We are in search of someone who can:
- Identify and address support issues by working with volunteers and individuals affected by MND.
- Guide collaboration within the branch and group network, fostering a supportive environment.
- Proactively manage the recruitment, selection, and induction of volunteers.
- Facilitate local learning, development, and networking opportunities for volunteers in collaboration with Association colleagues.
- Enable effective communication between volunteers, staff, and the wider Association, promoting a culture of collaboration.
This opportunity is home-based with travel requirements across Bristol, Gloucestershire, Bath, Northeast Somerset, North Somerset and Wiltshire.

The Role
There are over 60 million working donkeys and mules in the world, but millions are being killed every year for the inhumane donkey skin trade, leading the African Union to announce plans for a moratorium on donkey slaughter and the development of a strategy for working animals across the continent. This huge opportunity is just one way that charity and its advocacy work can change the world for donkeys and mules, giving them the protection they need and the health and welfare they deserve.
As Head of Advocacy, you will work in partnership with the Director of Advocacy & Campaigns, the CEO and other Senior Management to deliver the organisational strategy by developing inspiring advocacy plans based on clear strategy, integrated with other departments of the organisation.
Your principal duties and responsibilities will include:
- Working with the Director of Advocacy and Campaigns to design and implement an advocacy strategy to effect lasting change for donkeys and mules in line with our organisational aims.
- Building and developing networks of key stakeholders to achieve genuine change and lasting impact on the welfare of donkeys and mules.
- Representing the organisation at key stakeholder engagements, strategic high level forums and in the media, as appropriate.
- Functionally lead advocacy through the creation of a global advocacy strategy that supports teams to deliver high quality and consistent advocacy.
- Working closely with other departments to ensure advocacy integrates with other streams of the sanctuary’s work and ensure the organisation has the support and infrastructure to deliver excellent advocacy outcomes.
- Supporting advocacy needs both in team and organisationally when responding to events that are unexpected or unplanned.
- Overall responsibility for the work, financial budget and planning of the advocacy team and line manage posts in the department, as agreed with the Director.
About You
You will have:
- Significant experience in a strategic advocacy leadership role.
- Solid experience leading teams to develop and implement effective advocacy strategies.
- Able to engage stakeholders with good communication skills, experienced in influencing governments, intergovernmental bodies and other influential partners.

Role responsibilities
- Engage with students in school and enrol them onto the programme
- Match students with volunteer tutors
- Monitor student attendance to tutorials and devise innovative solutions to encourage attendance

The European Network on Statelessness (ENS) is a civil society alliance of over 180 members in 40 countries, committed to breaking the cycle of statelessness in Europe and realising everyone’s right to a nationality. About the role
We are now recruiting a knowledgeable and experienced Climate Resilience Programme Manager to continue leading our climate action strategy. The purpose of the role is to bring climate change expertise to grow, strengthen, deepen, and diversify our innovative programme portfolio, continue to minimise the negative environmental impacts of all of our programmes, and deepen our carbon emissions reduction strategy as we continue to expand the reach and impact of our organisation.
You will build strong partnerships by working closely alongside our local partners in programme design, technical knowledge, implementation and monitoring. It is anticipated that the post will include 3-4 overseas trips per annum.

We’ve seen some incredibly significant changes in Shelter over the past four years, with a radical shift in our organisational strategy and the consequent need to change our ways of working fundamentally. Purpose of the role

Responsibilities
Strategic Development
- Identify, propose and lead strategic development opportunities for the organisation. Conduct sector research to ensure that the Foundation’s strategy is data and environment-informed. Produce feasibility studies for prospective longer-term growth and development options in line with the overall Foundation Strategy.

Growth Projects
- Conduct growth research with a focus on the current educational and political climate, looking to the Department of Education and West Midlands Regional Directorate for changes and updates to relevant policy. In the event of an academy conversion, transfer, or merger, the postholder would also undertake the following duties: Convene and manage a project group comprised of representatives from the school, the Academy Trust and Birmingham City Council if appropriate. Manage all project documentation (including a comprehensive and regularly updated project plan, a register of risks and issues, an action tracker, project meeting notes, and reports to Trustees). Lead a thorough due diligence process. Support the incoming school to run a consultation process. About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Speak Out Facilitator to join our team covering Northamptonshire. This is a permanent role, working part-time (15 hours per week) reporting directly to the Connections Team Leader.
The role will require you to support our Quality Checkers who have lived experience of a learning disability. You will help them to feed back to the Integrated Care Board on the quality of services for people with a learning disability. The Integrated Care Board is currently exploring how this can also include autistic people. You will need to travel across Northamptonshire to various homes and residential settings and be home based for administrative tasks. Therefore, access to your own transportation and a suitable home internet connection are essential. The post is a permanent contract with a starting salary between £22,500 - £29,500 per annum pro-rata.
About you
We’d like to hear from you if you:
· Have experience in a role that requires outstanding communication skills to achieve excellent results – for example using different methods of communication to suit people with a learning disability.
· Are understanding of the various social, educational and emotional impacts facing people who have a lived experience of a learning disability (in a volunteering or employed role)
· Can prioritise and manage time effectively
· Can flexibly work within teams across the service, as and when required, to meet business needs
· Can travel between locations as required using either own or public transport
· Hold an Enhanced DBS with Child and Adults Barred lists or willing to obtain
How will you make a difference?
You will work with the Connections Team Leader and people with lived experience to develop and deliver client focussed, innovative and high-quality projects/services to meet the needs of those with learning disabilities.
To support people with lived experience to lead and/or attend external and internal meetings, promote clear communication, ensuring the views others are captured, recorded and views put forward, resolve any differences and conflicts and identify campaigning issues.

About the role
Sense has a fantastic opportunity for someone to join our Business Development team as our Partnerships Executive. This is a full time, 12 month fixed term, position working 37.5 hours per week. This role will working flexibly between home and our office in King's Cross, London.
This role will play a key part in achieving the Corporate Partnerships strategy, which is at an exciting point as Sense expands its programmes to reach more people who are deafblind or have complex disabilities. Sense is committed to developing our Corporate Partnerships Portfolio and have identified corporate income as a strong growth area for the charity. The successful candidate will be working within the Philanthropy & Partnerships team which consists of philanthropy, trusts and foundations, and statutory funding, contributing over £3m to support programmes across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the initiative to expand Sense’s ‘talks and training’ offerings by establishing and maintaining relationships with EDI (Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion) professionals and leaders of corporate staff networks.
- Assist Partnership Managers in the day-to-day management and nurturing of existing corporate partnerships, ensuring consistent support and service delivery aligns with Sense’s strategic goals.
- Conduct weekly research to identify corporate foundations and charity of the year opportunities, lead the application process, and support partnership managers by strengthening their pipelines.
- Actively participate in team discussions and strategy sessions, contributing to the development and implementation of the corporate partnership strategy.
- Assist in maintaining the CRM system by entering data on partner interactions, ensuring accuracy and completeness of records to support effective relationship management.
- Assist in compiling status reports and updates for the corporate partnerships team, helping track against targets and outcomes.
Key skills and experience
- Familiarity with the principles of account management, including supporting the retention and growth of client or partner relationships.
- Experience assisting with the development of new business pipelines, from initial research to the support stages of deal closure.
- Ability to support negotiations and positively influence outcomes under guidance, contributing to the acquisition of new opportunities for income.
- Comfortable working under senior staff and supporting interactions with senior stakeholders, with the potential to occasionally represent the organization at events or meetings.
- Skilled at building long-term relationships with stakeholders internally and externally
- Excellent presentation skills in order to influence and persuade a wide range of audiences.
