The successful Training Manager will head our “Rise for Change” training programme and have the exciting opportunity to continue to grow the programme’s success to date, expanding our offerings and reach to be fully integrated across the charities service provisions.
Rise for Change is training that is uniquely created by subject matter experts and directly addresses the need for intersectional and trauma informed domestic abuse training for professionals in all sectors. Our aim is to empower participants, no matter their professional role, to be able to respond safely and appropriately to domestic abuse both within the workplace and in the wider scope of their lives. You will be leading a linked programme of activity with our global Bright Sky programme which forms part of our wider Digital Programmes team. As the only global resource of its kind, Bright Sky is leading the way in technological responses to domestic abuse.
Role

Lead the development, quality and delivery of Hope After Harm’s training programme in line with the charity’s values, strategic direction, placing victim-survivors and those with lived experienced at the heart of what you do.
Deliver training and consultancy to professionals, organisations and businesses from our set package of training, or by curating and delivering bespoke packages to meet their needs.
Upkeep current training packages, whilst scoping and developing new packages in line with sector need and organisational strategy.
Ensure growth and sustainability of the programme through income generation, attracting new clients and driving repeat custom, directly managing client relationships.
Ensure the longevity of established relationships with key partners and stakeholders through regular meetings, problem-solving and support.
Uphold programme quality through metrics and appropriate reporting on outcomes, using feedback to refine and improve training offers
With support of the Director, leverage technology to enhance training accessibility, including e-learning platforms and virtual training tools.
With support of the Director, recruit, train and oversee a pool of sessional trainers, ensuring quality of their delivery in line with programme standards
Maintain our CPD accreditation on current and new training packages.
Respect and uphold the value and necessity of intersectionality within domestic abuse and sexual violence prevention and safeguarding, across all areas of work.
Maintain accurate recording and reporting of training/project delivery, including a training delivery calendar, CRM and all administrative processes and wrap around support.
Collaborate effectively with teams from across Hope After Harm to ensure that our training approach and packages are underpinned by the expertise and input available from across the charity.
Person Specification
Essential
A thorough understanding of domestic abuse and gender-based violence through a trauma informed and intersectional lens, including the impact and mitigation of vicarious trauma.
Be an experienced, highly skilled trainer with the ability to engage people through remote and in-person delivery.
Experience in managing training programmes, and with an absolute commitment to quality and client satisfaction
Ability to recruit, train and oversee a pool of sessional trainers.
Excellent communication, negotiation and advisory skills, both written and verbal when interacting with a range of agencies and individuals.
Motivate individuals and agencies to move through courses of action and decision-making processes
Knowledge and experience of using CRM’s, such as Hubspot, to track client engagement.
Track record of income generation - creating growth strategies for training programmes, in particular using social media and online sales platforms
Ability to plan and prioritise work effectively and manage projects and multiple deadlines
Skilled user of technology with high literacy of key presenting programmes, video platforms and databases.
Ability to travel for stakeholder meetings and team/organisation away days and deliver training when required (most meetings and contracts are remote)
Be comfortable operating a remote working environment with ability to network internally and externally
Have the flexibility to undertake tasks beyond the job description

Bring an understanding and experience of CPD accreditation
Hold a “Train the Trainer” qualification or be willing to obtain one during onboarding.

Overview
You will be focusing on the encouragement of planned giving, the continued introduction of contactless giving and the Parish Giving Scheme, supporting 2 treasurers and contributing to materials to assist parishes in becoming Joyful Generous Stewards. About the role:
This role is based in Rochdale Police station along with some hybrid working, you must be prepared to deliver and facilitate recognised support and behaviour change programmes to perpetrators of domestic abuse (DA) and those at risk of becoming perpetrators.
As a Perpetrator Caseworker you will:
- Plan, prepare and effectively facilitate (lead and co-facilitate) the delivery of group work programmes to perpetrators of DA. This may be delivered through face to face, online or a blended approach.
- Maintain a proactive response to service users, continuously providing positive options for behaviour change throughout the service user's time in the service. Using a combination of motivational work, relationship building and a broad range of skills to encourage service users to address their abusive behaviour and understand that they are accountable for continued use of abuse and abusive behaviour towards others.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships and promote effective communication between staff. Integrate the programme activity offered to Perpetrators with the support offered to Victims within the local domestic abuse service structure; which may be internal or external, ensuring you work closely with those services supporting the partners, ex-partners, new partners, and family members of service users
You will need:
- Excellent understanding of domestic abuse and stalking, including the impact on victims and their children, and the legal and practical remedies available.
- Belief in perpetrator behaviour change.
- Empathy and the ability to support and guide your service users, demonstrating excellent advisory, negotiation & persuasive skills.
- Experience of working directly with perpetrators of domestic abuse in a statutory, voluntary, social or community work setting.
- A good knowledge of effective ways of working/engaging with perpetrators of domestic abuse.
- Excellent interpersonal skills including networking skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships with other agencies.
- Ideally a background in Probation, Homelessness or the Police would be advantageous.

Training and Development Officer
Key responsibilities:
The postholder will deliver training and consultancy to staff in (mainly) primary, Early Years and secondary school settings. The training and consultancy we offer is often bespoke and so all delivery team members contribute to the development of new courses and resources as required.
The training and consultancy may relate to one of our projects (such as Local School Nature Grants or Climate School 180) or be commercial training requested by a setting or local authority.
Flexibility is important as travel will be required and delivery sessions may take place after normal school hours. It will usually be your responsibility to communicate with settings to agree dates and times for delivering the training. The settings may be local or some distance away, so planning your diary to combine visits to reduce travel may be appropriate. When agreed, overnight accommodation and car hire (within budget) may be required.
What would a typical week look like?
Southwest
There is no ‘typical’ week but for a full-time trainer it could look like this. This would of course be scaled down for the 4-day role. The assumption for example purposes makes the starting place Exeter.
Monday - Travel to Newquay for pm session. Travel home afterwards.
Tuesday - Travel to Bath for am session. Travel to Bristol for twilight session. Travel to Weston-Super-Mare postcode for overnight stay.
Wednesday - Travel to Taunton for pm session. Travel home.
Thursday - Travel to Kingsbridge for twilight session.
Friday - Admin day.

About the role:
The Deputy Chief Executive role is a critical leadership role for the Charity. They are looking for someone who has strong relationship management experience, the ability to deliver and implement ideas, confidence in navigating in the complex political arena as well as being flexible and reactive to the changing needs of the organisation’s membership.
The role holder will deputise for the Charity Chief Executive providing strategic leadership and effective governance of the Charity, its Trading Arm, and all Shared Services.
The Deputy Chief Executive will oversee Union Development and Talent work to support students’ unions in line with the their Charity Strategy. They will also be responsible for supporting the strategic work around Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion. The Charity adopt a flexible approach to line management and project management. Other direct reporting lines and key projects will be agreed based on strengths and experience. For example, if the successful candidate has a strong commercial background, they may also be asked to line manage the Trading Support function.

Programme Manager Role
The Programme Manager will be responsible for growing the First Give network in the Midlands. Growth across the Midlands plays a part in our recently launched strategy, and the Programme Manager will use their understanding of the education sector to build relationships with key stakeholders and grow our number of partner schools.
Contract: Full time, permanent. 37.5 hours per week (typically 9am-5.30pm, but with occasional early starts and late finishes dependent on events and school visits)
Salary: £33,000 p.a.
Location: Working from home in the Midlands, with regular travel to schools across region. Occasional travel to First Give’s London office in West Hampstead and other locations in England and Wales for team meetings will also be required.

Essential:
· Passionate about young people and their potential to drive social change
· Experience developing strong relationships across a range of stakeholders, including senior leaders

Job Purpose
This is an exciting time to join our small and impactful team, as we embark on a new four-year strategy. To meet our ambitious growth goals while sustaining strong core operations and compliance with charity and company regulations, we need to increase support for the CEO and Senior Management Team (SMT) and bolster our financial and governance capacity. This role is critical to achieving our strategic objectives to reach more young people than ever before, sustain the quality and impact of our programmes as we grow, diversify our funding and partnerships, and strengthen TU’s operations, so all staff can thrive as we scale-up delivery of tuition hubs across existing and new areas.
The Finance and Governance Officer will work closely with the CEO and COO to ensure the smooth running of TU, acting as the “glue” for the wider team and managing the day-to-day financial, governance and operational processes that are critical to high-quality delivery, compliance and impact.
The Finance and Governance Officer will provide robust and timely financial management support to the CEO, to ensure income is received and expenditure processed in line with our budgets. You will be responsible for processing incoming and outgoing payments within our bank and accountancy software, ensuring good records are kept, and liaising closely with our external accountants to deliver monthly accounts. You will support the CEO to tighten up our financial oversight, processes and compliance. You’ll also play a critical role in making sure our brilliant tutors and classroom assistants are paid each month, working with the wider team.
With an ambitious new strategy and an increased Board of trustees, a core aspect of this role will be to coordinate excellent governance support, to facilitate strong non-executive leadership and challenge as we grow. This role will be an advocate for governance and performance monitoring within TU, ensuring the team contributes to Board papers and KPIs, and supporting the CEO to meet governance deadlines. You will also pitch in with frontline programme delivery at pinch points during the year - such as helping with daily lesson support from 4-6pm, helping with our annual graduation event, or monitoring incoming enquiries.

You will need to be solutions orientated, creative and comfortable communicating with people both internally and externally.
