We are looking for a Specialist Huntington's Disease Adviser to provide invaluable, specialist support and advice to people affected by Huntington’s disease. The role is 21 hours per week and is home-based, living in the Merseyside and Isle of Man area, but will involve extensive travel within the region and occasional travel across England and Wales.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated person who is dedicated and committed to the welfare of families affected by Huntington’s disease, developing and improving the quality of care that they receive. You will need to have skills gained within a Health and Social Care profession. Your main responsibilities will be to offer specialist help, information, advice, support and education to everyone affected by Huntington’s disease and professionals involved in supporting them.

Some of your main duties will include:
- Undertaking a confidential needs-led assessment of the individual and/or carer, in consultation where necessary with other agencies.
- Working in a way that promotes safety and wellbeing. Identify and act appropriately where issues of risk, including safeguarding, arise and refer to the relevant leads and agencies where appropriate.
- Negotiating care and support to ensure the best possible service is provided by the appropriate agencies, monitoring the quality and effectiveness of service provision, and advocating where necessary on behalf of the recipient of services.
- Delivering training and information for professionals, ensuring that they have a comprehensive understanding of the needs of people affected by Huntington’s disease.
- Organising and facilitating educational and peer opportunities for families and professionals.
- Promoting and raising awareness of Huntington’s disease and the Huntington’s Disease Association.
- Establishing new peer support opportunities where a need is identified and to promote the online support services facilitated by the Huntington’s Disease Association.

CEO - KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Income Generation & Financial Responsibility
Lead the development and execution of MOVE Against Cancer’s income generation strategy across a diverse range of funders, including trusts and foundations, business partnerships, individual and community fundraising. Create and manage a realistic, achievable annual budget, ensuring that all financial performance aligns with organisational goals. Monitor and report on the organisation’s financial performance, providing regular, accurate updates to the Trustees. Develop relationships with current and potential funders, reporting back on the impact of their donations and securing further financial support. Identify new opportunities to diversify and maximise income streams to support organisational growth, ensuring that the charity can meet its long-term goals. Oversee compliance with fundraising regulations, ensuring that all fundraising activities adhere to legal and ethical standards. Ensure monthly financial reporting and performance tracking, reviewing risks, and taking corrective actions as necessary.
Strategy
Lead the sustainable growth of MOVE Against Cancer, ensuring that the organisation adapts to the evolving landscape of cancer support and related sectors. Work with the Board to regularly review and refine the organisation’s strategy, ensuring it remains responsive to external changes and opportunities.
HR, Compliance & Infrastructure Management
Ensure compliance with all relevant legislative, regulatory, and policy requirements, including health and safety, Charity Commission guidance, safeguarding, and fundraising regulations. Oversee data protection policies, ensuring that MOVE Against Cancer meets all General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and data privacy laws. Develop and review organisational policies and procedures at appropriate intervals to ensure best practices and compliance with regulations. Establish a continuous improvement framework, gathering feedback and data to guide the organisation’s strategic direction and operational excellence. Coordinate with senior leadership to ensure that all services meet or exceed the expectations of funders, partners, and beneficiaries.
Stakeholder Relationships
Protect and enhance the reputation of MOVE Against Cancer by acting as the organisation’s spokesperson Actively seek collaborations and partnerships with other charities, NHS Trusts, and relevant statutory bodies to strengthen MOVE Against Cancers impact.

Qualifications & Experience
Significant experience in growing and leading a charitable (or similar) organisation, with a proven track record of success in expanding reach and impact. Previous experience leading a charitable (or similar) organisation, including strategic planning, governance, and financial management. Demonstrated experience in leading and executing a comprehensive fundraising strategy, including managing major donor relationships, grants, corporate partnerships, and community fundraising campaigns. In-depth knowledge and experience of cancer support services and the challenges faced by people living with and beyond cancer, including their families. Strong track record of working collaboratively with internal teams, partners, and stakeholders to achieve shared goals. Excellent communication, public speaking, and relationshipbuilding skills, with the ability to engage a variety of stakeholders including funders, healthcare professionals, and the public.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Recruit and induct new volunteers to support our services, working with the Services Director and the Training & Outreach Lead. Work with the service managers to review training and update training modules.
-Ensure there is appropriate training, support, supervision and acknowledgement for all volunteers and ensure recruitment and processes comply with the charity’s values & EDI requirements
-Research and write volunteer policies and procedures, including risk assessments.

Role Summary
The Head of Apprenticeship Operations and Delivery sits at the heart of Ada’s apprenticeship programmes. They are responsible for the operational delivery of Ada’a apprenticeships across all sites, leading a cross-regional team to manage and deliver the compliant systems and processes required for exceptional apprenticeships, and oversee communications and support functions. The role is centred on the apprentices’ and employers’ experience and works closely with Ada’s central operations team.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Leadership of apprenticeship operations: Lead on all operational matters, including leading and line managing the delivery and compliance staff. This includes: recruiting and inducting team members; holding 1:1s; setting objectives; setting priorities; reporting on key metrics; and identifying and recommending improvements.
- Systems: Lead on ensuring the systems and processes necessary for degree apprenticeship delivery are in place, collaborating with the central data and impact teams to transition to a new CRM and learner record management system.
- Enrolment and onboarding: Manage the process for the admissions, enrolment and onboarding of apprentices, and work with the Apprenticeship Partnerships team on the onboarding of new employers.
- Delivery logistics: Enable effective delivery of apprenticeship training, working through the team to ensure the smooth running of induction and delivery weeks. This includes liaising with site staff, teaching colleagues and skills coaches, and managing logistics for in person delivery.
- Apprenticeship compliance: Work with the team to ensure that Ada’s programmes are compliant with the latest funding rules, including:
- The collection and storage of necessary documentation during enrolment
- Management of the online Apprenticeship Service
- Establishment and maintenance of compliant templates for training plans and apprenticeship agreements
- Quality Assurance of data collected for submission to the Individualised Learner Record (ILR)
- Monitoring of work output of other apprenticeship teams to ensure compliance E.g in setting training plans and establishing off the job hours.
- Apprenticeship funding: Work in partnership with the Finance Team on the planning and reconciliation of apprenticeship funding
- Apprentice enquiries: Deliver an efficient system to manage apprentice enquiries, allowing them to be dealt with in a timely manner and delivering excellent customer service.
- Communications to apprentices: Oversee cohort wide communication of programme information, ensuring apprentices are equipped with clear and timely details about their courses, including but not limited to apprentice handbooks, delivery dates, venue details and how to access support.
- Data and reporting: Ensure effective apprenticeship data management, and work closely with the Impact and Information team to ensure that all data reporting is integrated into Ada's core online systems wherever possible
- The apprentice experience: Place the apprentices’ experience at the heart of operational delivery, ensuring the delivery of excellent customer service, and taking into account the needs of Ada’s apprentices at each stage of their journey.
- Health, safety and wellbeing: The Apprenticeship Operations team has a shared responsibility with the other teams within apprenticeships to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of apprentices. You will collaborate with other colleagues, in particular the central college operations team (including site managers), the college safeguarding team (Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and deputy DLSs), and skills coach team, to ensure the highest standards of provision and support, in the areas of: first aid provision, risk assessment, safeguarding of learners, fire safety, and wellbeing support.

The Clinical Lead is a critically important role within the service, providing leadership, coordination and delivery of the prescribing and clinical elements within this integrated substance use service.
You will be a registered healthcare professional, that can prescribe for people needing substance misuse interventions. However, we are flexible about the discipline you have and the hours you work (i.e., you could be an independent prescriber (Nurse or Pharmacist) GP or Consultant).

The Service
Via is a charity dedicated to the belief that we can make a difference to lives of those who use our services, offering support and respect in a safe environment, treating each person as an individual and working with them to find the right support options.
Via’s Cheshire West & Chester service is an adult and young person treatment and recovery service which offers a range of pharmacological and psycho-social interventions to the community for support in relation to drug and or alcohol use.
This is an established service that is well performing and highly functioning. It is CQC registered to provide a range of clinical interventions including blood borne virus interventions, opioid substitute treatment, community detoxification, harm reduction, other holistic health interventions and seated in a recovery focused model.
The team actively supports individuals that are directly and indirectly affected by substance use, working with the local community to improve the health, wellbeing and functioning of residents, irrespective of circumstance.
Location
You will be based from our Northwich Hub, but will regularly travel to other Hub sites in Chester and Ellesmere Port, will require occasional travel to external meetings and satellites within the area, and very occasional travel to other Via locations may be required.

This role will lead on the delivery of our year-round volunteering programmes, with a particular focus on volunteering at our venue Aviva Studios. This will include the recruitment of Aviva Studios volunteers, training and induction, and support for volunteers taking part in our programmes. - Manage our year-round volunteering programmes – in particular at Aviva Studios - responding to wider societal need to create social impact in the city

The purpose of this role is to raise LMK’s profile and to engage LMK’s stakeholders in our services, campaigns and fundraising efforts by delivering impactful content across all of our online and offline communication channels in alignment with our vision, mission and strategic objectives. Key Responsibilities
Marketing & Brand
- Co-develop LMK’s marketing strategy, leveraging key stakeholder input and action plans to support it
