Designed and delivered by social work charity Frontline, we teach social work differently. By blending learning and practice, what you discover in theory is eased into real-life settings, supervised by a social worker. Gaining your postgraduate diploma within 12 months, will be the first step in your life-changing career.

What to expect as a trainee social worker
Year 1:

Start with five weeks of intense online study, including five in-person sessions, led by experts in social work theory.

Begin your 12-month placement in a local council social work team, where you'll work closely with fellow trainees and an experienced social worker. You'll gradually take on more responsibility in supporting children and families.

Who we’re looking for

TACT South West are recruiting Zero Hours Children's Resource Workers to work with unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking children/young people, and Neurodivergent children/young people across the South West regions.
The ideal Children's Resource Worker will already have some experience in working with unaccompanied asylum-seeking children/young people, neurodivergent children/young people, and have worked with Parent-Child Arrangements. An understanding of therapeutic support for foster carers and children would be beneficial. There will be a range of opportunities for training and development for this role, as new workers join us on our organisation wide journey to become a fully trauma-informed organisation.

As an integral part of our Operations team, the Finance and Operations Officer will work closely with our Operations Manager, playing a key role in supporting the effective management of IRMO's day-to-day operations with a focus on financial responsibilities. The post-holder will also be responsible for administrative tasks such as liaising with service providers and procuring office supplies, as well as supporting the development and implementation of IRMO's policies and procedures. Additionally, the post-holder will act as IRMO's Safeguarding Officer to support the Safeguarding Lead in ensuring compliance with safeguarding policies and promoting a safe environment across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software
- Input all payments, including invoices, expense claims, bank charges, salary payments, HMRC, and any other payments into the financial system
- Generate and issue invoices for services provided, ensuring accuracy and adherence to procedures
- Reconcile all bank accounts regularly, identifying and resolving any discrepancies
- Review transaction lists to identify anomalies such as misposts or missing invoices, taking corrective actions as necessary
- Review accounts receivable balances and follow up on overdue invoices, maintaining effective communication with relevant stakeholders
- Support the development of quotes, budgets, and financial tools in collaboration with the Operations Manager

About the Role
- We are looking for an experienced Independent Living Outreach Worker to join our Ageing Well in Place in Hulme Partnership team.
- You will be carrying out one-to-one case work with older and vulnerable people living in high rise social housing in the neighbourhood of Hulme, Manchester.

About the role

Your role will require you to travel to locations such as hospitals and care homes across the area to meet with clients and professionals and be home based for administration; therefore, a suitable home internet connection is essential.

We are recruiting for an experienced and qualified counsellor with experience of working with young people with SEN in a school environment to join our team and deliver the school counselling service at The Hive Centre in Brighton.
The Hive Centre is an educational provision run by Hill Park School. The Hive is a small, bespoke provision for autistic secondary aged students with high anxiety and sensory needs but who are working at mainstream levels. It is called The Hive because the aim is to provide a small and safe learning environment; a feeling of community for the young people and their families; and a place of belonging and growth. They offer an adapted mainstream secondary curriculum in small classes of around 8 students. There is a strong focus on emotional wellbeing for everyone at the Hive with a trauma-informed and person centred approach.
We are seeking a qualified counsellor who is passionate about making a difference to lives of the children and young people they work with. You will have a keen interest in and experience of working with young people of secondary school age with SEN.
You will provide ethical, professional counselling/therapy to children and young people in the school setting. Students will be offered creative and flexible ways of working therapeutically, where they can talk, make art, or play games; using creative activities to help them express things that might be worrying them.
Key responsibilities
- Provide individual sessions with students and some small group work, as agreed with the school and Dialogue manager.
- Promote the service to school staff; this may involve attending staff meetings and/ or school assemblies to talk about the counselling role.
- Proven experience working with children and young people with SEN.
- Run a suitable appointment system flexible to the needs of the school, offering students appropriate assessments and counselling appointments
- Work flexibly and creatively with students with SEN needs, to increase accessibility to the service
- Manage the tight time boundaries of the role and the often complex and varied workload
- Liaise with school staff over referrals, waiting lists and appointments
- Carry out initial clinical and risk assessments and establish appropriate referral pathways with other services where appropriate. Continually assess risk throughout each student’s counselling.
- Follow YMCA Dialogue safeguarding procedures; to know who the School’s Designated Safeguarding Officer/s is and how to contact them when a safeguarding concern arises
- Work at all times within the BACP Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions
- Maintain individual membership of the BACP (or other professional body such as HCPC)
- You will establish good professional working relationships with key school staff

Qualifications, knowledge, and experience

The National Services Administrator will work closely with the National Services Coordinators to:
