Regional Fundraising Manager (West Wales)
Join Wales’ leading cancer charity as a Fundraiser and manage raising funds across an already established West Wales region. There’s loads of scope to generate more income and grow connections.
You’ll be joining an experienced Wales fundraising team who generate over £2.8million of annual income. Your fundraising impact is seen in people affected by cancer through the services we run, the difference to lives we make and the campaigns that make meaningful change.
You’ll be managing and building relationships across West Wales with our supporters, Friends of Tenovus groups and establishing new fundraising connections and work with teams of volunteers. You can expect to manage events such as our annual Lovelight concerts, Singathons and Breast Cancer Awareness Month to name just a few.
Your region is already warm with strong supporter connections and exciting development opportunities to grow across the region in places like Swansea, Aberystwyth, Haverfordwest to Carmarthen.
Whilst it’d be great if you’ve done Third Sector Fundraising it isn’t a must have to be considered as we’ll consider transferable skills.
What's important is that you're on the West Wales patch already to get across the region regularly,you've got passion for our cause and can't wait to get involved with our supporters and volunteers and put on amazing fundraising events to raise income for people affected by cancer.
Working Hours: 35 hours per week with flexible working
Due to the nature of our fundraising work you’ll need to be flexible at times to work evenings and weekends. Around this we work core 11am-3pm hours to flexibly suit work around your lifestyle and personal commitments and operate our work flexibly between 7am – 9pm so you can do things like the school runs or fit in wellness activities and hobbies with your working life.

Place of work: Home based within the West Wales region. There is regular travel required across West Wales and occasional travel to our Head Office (Cardiff). IT equipment is provided and you’ll ned a suitable home working space.

Location: A 5-day in-person role working in the project clinic in Birmingham/Sandwell.
Job Purpose:
The Principal Psychologist/Clinical Lead is responsible for the overall clinical management of mental health services within the project, including acting as safeguarding lead. This includes designing, implementing, and overseeing psychological and psychosocial interventions for asylum seekers and refugees. The role ensures high-quality, evidence-based mental health care, capacity building of staff, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders to support a multidisciplinary response. The post also ensures the integration of mental health services into MSF’s broader medical-humanitarian mission.
This role presents a unique opportunity for leadership to be part of a new, high-impact initiative for asylum seekers and refugees. As part of the pioneering team, the post holder will play a key role in establishing a new, trauma-informed care model that bridges humanitarian response with longer term mental health care. The successful applicant will have a chance to develop new skills, receive specialist training, and contribute to policy-level discussions on asylum seeker and refugee mental health.
Knowledge, Skill & Experience:
Knowledge
- Doctorate in Clinical/ Forensic/ Counselling Psychology with HCPC registration.
- Significant further advanced training in relevant specialist treatment delivery (e.g. CBT, EMDR, NET)
- Advanced expertise in complex trauma, PTSD, and comorbid mental health conditions, particularly in refugee and asylum-seeking populations.
- In-depth understanding of trauma-informed care models, stabilization techniques, and stepped-care approaches.
- Extensive knowledge of evidence-based trauma therapies, including TF-CBT, EMDR, NET, and third-wave approaches.
- Awareness of UK asylum policies and the medico-psycho-social-legal needs of refugees and asylum seekers
- Strong working knowledge of safeguarding policies, risk assessment protocols, and ethical guidelines (e.g., HCPC, GDPR, BPS, NICE guidelines).
- Knowledge of UK healthcare, social welfare, and legal referral pathways for asylum seekers
- Understanding of mental health policy, advocacy, and service commissioning within humanitarian and third-sector settings.
- Familiarity with Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) models in humanitarian settings would be an asset
- Training in management and supervision practices would be helpful to the role
Skills
- Leadership and Team management skills, including supervision, line management, training, and capacity building
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
- Ability to develop and implement mental health models in humanitarian settings
- Data analysis and monitoring skills for evaluating service impact
- Highly developed clinical assessment, formulation, and treatment planning skills for complex cases.
- High-level safeguarding. risk assessment, and crisis intervention competencies.
- Strong interdisciplinary teamwork, with the ability to liaise effectively with external agencies and humanitarian stakeholders.
- Skills in policy development and advocacy related to MHPSS
Experience
- Significant demonstrable post-qualification experience in roles equivalent to NHS 8b Psychologist, as well as significant experience delivering trauma-focused therapy with marginalised groups.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams in an NGO, humanitarian, or healthcare setting.
- Experience providing clinical leadership and supervision to senior (band 8a equivalent) Psychologists, Psychologists, Assistant Psychologists, and/or trainees.
- Demonstrated ability to manage high-risk and complex clinical cases.
- Strong record of managing multidisciplinary team collaboration and policy engagement.
- Experience working with refugees, asylum seekers, or survivors of trafficking and torture.
- Experience in training and capacity building for mental health professionals
- Research, service evaluation, or policy development experience.
- Prior work in humanitarian, NGO, or third-sector organisations would be an asset to the role
- Experience providing supervision to caseworkers or equivalent roles would be helpful to the post.
- Experience in the practical use of personal IT equipment and Microsoft Office 365 suite. The ability to effectively collaborate and communicate within a hybrid working environment utilising Teams, SharePoint, One Drive and Yammer.

Lia's Wings are looking to appoint a Fundraising Manager into a brand new role, at an incredibly exciting time for the charity. As the only aeroplane ambulance charity for children in the UK, we are experiencing a period of phenomenal growth, with incredible opportunities and potential for fundraising.
Being responsible for the management and delivery of our challenge events, special events and community fundraising activities, this role will involve working with some of our most committed supporters on a series of engaging (and fun) events that are continuing to grow year on year. The Fundriasing Manager will also be expected to support our corporate partners, and engage with our Family Fundraising efforts, giving them the opportunity to meet, and work with our incredible beneficiaries first-hand.
A hybrid role: this post will be mostly remote but will involve travelling to regular (fortnightly) team meetings in central London (Zone 1), or, our operating base at Biggin Hill Airport, and, to manage events across the UK throughout the year.
The perfect candidate for this role will have experience of managing various types of fundraising events, but first and foremost, we are looking for a consummate fundraiser who is passionate about stewarding fundraisers. We are looking for a fundraiser who can think outside the box, solve problems, and support supporters, donors and fundraisers of all levels, to ensure we maximise every opportunity we receive.
Reporting to the Head of Fundraising, this role will be integral to the growth of Lia's Wings, and is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for a role at a small charity, where their efforts will make a real difference.
Over the last year we have had more people than ever before hoping to fundraise for Lia’s Wings, which has given rise to some fantastic new events being created (led by the charity), alongside several wonderful community-led partnerships with schools and social clubs around the UK.
Every year we also have a great uptake in classic charity challenges taking place both in the UK, and overseas, including the London Landmarks and Royal Parks Half Marathon, and the Berlin and Chicago Marathons. We have also had great success delivering our own, bespoke charity challenges, which we hope will continue into the future. For 2025, we are due to complete the second instalment of an annual Lia’s Wings Overseas Cycle Challenge, a Shark dive, Skydive and three peaks challenges, amongst many others, which this role would be expected to lead on, and develop for years to come.
Corporate Partnerships are one of our key income streams, with employees from dozens of companies supporting our events efforts. As well as managing these events, there would be a certain level of devolved account management with these partners, with the post holder becoming the primary point of contact for those firms.
We also have a growing network of community groups – including schools and social groups – who want to support Lia’s Wings as a partner charity. It is an area we would love to expand, with this role being crucial to the ongoing development of these areas.
And finally: for the past two years we have we also hosted a seasonal thank you party each Christmas (our “Jingle and Mingle”) which we hope will be another fantastic opportunity that can be developed by the right person in this role, as a real jewel in the crown of our events portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- To manage our Challenge, Community, and Special Event fundraising streams, to achieve set targets.
- To grow income sustainably from our existing portfolio of events, ensuring continued high performance, engagement, and participation.
- To design, develop, and deliver new events that are suitable for our primary supporter audiences, alongside the Head of Fundraising.
- To effectively steward fundraisers to ensure an excellent supporter experience (resulting in positive fundraising performance, and repeat year on year participation), including appropriate thanking and recognition, reporting, and feedback on outcomes of events.
- To assume account management responsibility for smaller corporate and community partnerships (primarily engaged with the charity through events fundraising)
- To ensure a strong (in-person) team and volunteer presence at events.
- To support the Head of Fundraising on the delivery of our Corporate and Community Partnerships.
- To support our Family Support Team with the delivery of our Family Fundraising programme
- To build strong relationships with existing and potential stake holders, including event committees, and Trustees of the charity.
- To proactively manage event income and expenditure budgets, monitoring and reporting to the Head of Fundraising to support forecasting and budgeting processes, including monthly reconciliation.
- To manage all stock, consumables and promotional items related to these areas of fundraising.
- To maintain comprehensive recording-keeping relating to these areas of fundraising with existing tools including our CRM system, Salesforce.
- To attend fortnightly team meetings (in person) in London, and to attend other compulsory training days or events as required
- To support the Head of Engagement in preparing digital assets, including news pieces, photography, videography, and fundraiser case studies for our website and social media
- To ensure all practices meet statutory legislation requirements including the Data Protection Act, and Fundraising Code of Practice.
- To undertake any other duties appropriate to the post that by be required by the Head of Fundraising, including supporting the fundraising team with other in-person events throughout the year as they arise.
- At all times, to act as a role model, representing the vision and values of Lia’s Wings.

Action for Pulmonary Fibrosis (APF) is the UK’s leading charity dedicated to improving the health and well-being of people affected by pulmonary fibrosis. Purpose
APF has grown significantly over the past five years, with our support services reaching over 10,000 people affected by pulmonary fibrosis (PF) each year. We have ambitious plans for further growth across our services and to fund more ground breaking research. As we enter a new five-year strategic period, we aim to grow our income to £3-5 million, which will underpin our exciting plans to support more people affected by pulmonary fibrosis and prevent lives being lost to this devastating disease.
The Charity Governance and Operations Manager will ensure robust operational, safeguarding, and governance frameworks are in place to support Action for Pulmonary Fibrosis’ continued growth. This role is critical for maintaining our compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, overseeing risk management, and embedding efficient operational structures. In addition, you will help foster a culture of high-quality supporter care and lead on continuous improvement to strengthen internal processes and staff development.
Terms of Appointment
Working hours: Full time (37.5 hours per week) or part-time (minimum 30 hours per week).

The role
This post plays a key role in the strategic leadership and day to day management of IES, with overall responsibility for IES’s financial stewardship, financial management and support services. The post reports to the CEO, is a member of the Institute Management Team and acts as Secretary to IES’s non-executive Board of Trustees.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities in the role are set out below.
Financial management
■ Overall responsibility for IES budgeting, accounting, audit, reporting and internal controls.
■ Oversight and responsibility for IES internal systems, processes and reporting, to ensure that there is a regular, timely and accurate understanding of the Institute’s financial position.
■ Providing information and advice to the Management Team and Board of Trustees on IES’s financial position and future financial risks and opportunities.
■ Responsibility for ensuring that timely and accurate financial information is available to project managers, alongside appropriate support with management of project resources. This includes oversight of systems for project accounting and reporting, administration of research contracts and contracts with third parties, contract-related client relationship management, and data protection.
■ Managing relationships with key external suppliers, including the bank and auditors.
Company secretary
■ Ensuring that IES complies with all relevant company and charity law and can meet wider standards of good governance and transparency in the sector.
■ Oversight and responsibility for IES systems and processes that support effective corporate and charity governance.
■ Lead responsibility for IES business continuity planning and risk management, including maintenance and oversight of the IES strategic risk register.
■ Ensuring that IES has access to appropriate and suitably qualified advice where this is needed in order to comply with governance and legal requirements, including legal and tax advice.
Support services
■ Oversight and responsibility for IES premises, information technology systems, telecommunications and office supplies.
■ Ensuring continued IES compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 27001, CyberEssentials and other industry-standard accreditations.
Policies and processes
■ Ensuring that IES policies and processes in relation to these areas of responsibility are in place and kept up to date.
Institute leadership and management
■ Contributing to the wider strategic development leadership and management of IES including:
● Membership of the Institute Management Team and Operational Management Group
● Contributing to the development of the annual business plan and supporting its achievement
● Contributing to, and where appropriate leading, specific continuous improvement initiatives as agreed with the CEO and Management Team
● Direct line management and professional development of colleagues with responsibility for areas set out above where appropriate (current line management responsibility is for one full-time finance officer and one part time office manager).
What we are looking for:
The successful candidate will be able to combine active delivery of financial and other services with high level proactive advice, and will have:
■ Experience of financial management within a small/medium sized organisation, preferably one reliant on project or contract-related funding. This could include charitable organisations, research bodies, consultancies, legal or professional services firms, academia, or similar.
■ Be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent).
■ Experience managing a diverse team in a similar environment; with strong collaboration skills.
■ Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders including the Board of Trustees, the IES Management team, and research, consultancy and support staff within the organisation.
■ An initiative-taking and adaptable approach to managing a small and administratively lean organisation.
■ Understanding of corporate or charity governance procedures or the ability to learn quickly.
■ Experience or knowledge of relationship management with clients and/or funding organisations, especially research funding organisations; experience with fundraising from corporate or institutional bodies.
■ Experience of change management: experience of introducing new systems, processes, or ways of working to improve efficiency in a small/medium-sized organisation.

FINANCE MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION
Role Purpose
The Finance Manager will proactively plan, manage and oversee the financial strategy, operations, and compliance of our dynamic and growing organisation. The role contributes directly to the organisation’s strategic planning and has hands-on oversight of financial transactions, operations, compliance and reporting.
As the Finance Manager, you will be a member of the Executive leadership team working closely with the CEO on matters of financial strategy and business development - contributing to strategic decisions and providing financial guidance.
Main Objectives
- Provide leadership, in-depth knowledge and financial expertise to support the organisation’s strategy, business development and operations.
- Manage the day-to-day financial operations including payroll, payments, controls and cash flow to ensure sound financial management and accuracy around all financial routines and procedures. Also ensure compliance and accurate reporting.

Financial Planning
- Lead on financial planning, budgeting and forecasting.

Financial Management

- Prepare quarterly management accounts and reports for decision-making and planning.

- Ensure compliance with all requirements and standards in respect to Insurance, Companies House, Charities Commission and HMRC.

- Ensure governance documents are up to date. Including Trustees appointment and resignation records, conflict-of-interest forms, and relevant submissions to Companies House.

Accounting
- Supervise and review accounting tasks and records processed by the bookkeeper and the Finance Manager.

- Ensure accuracy of income and expenses allocation and coding, including deferred income and monthly reconciliations.
- Review and update coding structures and nominal coding, clearing accounts and reconciliations in collaboration with the CEO and finance colleagues.
Payments and Payroll

We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Operations Manager to join our friendly and supportive team.
Main purpose of post
You will manage Survive’s daily operations to keep the organisation compliant and functioning efficiently and to lead on specific projects to further the organisation’s mission and strategic aims.
You will attend regular meetings with the CEO, be an active member of the Senior Management Team (SMT) and attend other internal meetings and working groups.
You will also be instrumental in the Client Journey working group and their work to streamline and improve services. Where necessary, you will represent Survive at external meetings and working groups.
You will be responsible for the completion of timely performance reports to the Board of Trustees and internal working groups. This role will also provide statistics for internal/external use as/when required.
You will oversee a number of internal projects and external pilot projects.
Outline of main duties
The following is a summary of the key responsibilities of the post. It is not intended to be an exhaustive list, and the post-holder may be required to carry out other duties which are appropriate to the scale and nature of the job role.
Operations:
o ensuring that key tasks and our contractual obligations are being fulfilled. You will ensure accurate and appropriate record keeping across the team on our database, Charity Log.
o working with the SMT on an organisational design structure which meets the needs of our growing service
o attending SMT and Client Journey working group meetings to discuss and resolve organisational challenges and help address ‘bottlenecks’ in service provision’
o taking responsibility for premises including the Micklegate office and remote counselling locations. Includes liaison with the landlord, booking rooms and inspecting premises to ensure they are suitable for counselling
o taking responsibility for health and safety in our York office
o compiling risk assessments for the York office, satellite locations, home workers and external events and activities.
IT and phone systems
o providing training and support on IT and Survive’s systems and software to staff, volunteers and trustees.
o liaising with Survive’s IT and phone/broadband suppliers regarding upgrades, service continuity, security and risk management
o answering first line technical questions before escalating to Fusion Systems
o controlling system access permissions to software applications and Sharepoint folders
o setting up new and managing existing software applications to ensure Survive is making the best use of technology to assist with organisational efficiency
o being responsible for the purchase, upgrading, maintenance and disposal of IT hardware and mobile phones within approved spending limits, and preparing costed proposals for Board approval, where necessary
Policies and procedures
o You will follow Survive policies and procedures including (though not limited to) Safeguarding, Health and Safety, Confidentiality, data protection and information sharing
o You will monitor the data that Survive holds for clients in order to comply with the organisation’s confidentiality policy and with UK GDPR including responding to third party disclosure requests and Data Subject Access Requests (DSAR) from service-users, former service-users and third parties
o You will contribute to the maintenance and development of Survive’s policies and procedures
Resources
o ensuring that Survive obtains value for money and works to achieve efficiency by reviewing practices, systems and processes and making changes and recommendations where necessary
o managing the procurement process for insurance, leases, suppliers and contracts in order to get the best value and to meet the needs of Survive
o attending the Finance and Resources sub-committee meetings to advise on contracts and suppliers
Projects, monitoring and evaluation
o attending external meetings with funders, partners and commissioners where required, and where necessary, provide monitoring and evaluation reports
o attending working groups to represent Survive
o liaising with partners to develop and secure funding for pilot projects and be responsible for ensuring key milestones are met and the production of regular monitoring and evaluation reports
o providing reports to the Board of Trustees including Survive’s performance against Key Performance indicators (KPIs)
o You will plan and deliver specific projects, working with internal and external stakeholders and reporting on key outcomes and deliverables. For example, you will maintain existing accreditations (e.g. The Survivors’ Trust) and work towards gaining new accreditations (e.g. BACP)

Qualifications
- You will have a good standard of general education and ideally a qualification in one or more of the following areas: business administration, project management, charity management
Operations
- Experience of procurement and managing supplier contracts
- Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and UK GDPR
- Ideally, you will have worked or volunteered in the charity sector
Team relationships
- Able to deliver training, as required – especially IT training
- Able to work effectively as part of a team and create, build and sustain good working relationships
- Ideally, experience of managing change and supporting a team in embracing new ways of working
Experience, knowledge and skills
- You will have excellent IT knowledge and skills and be able to support the team. You will have experience of Microsoft Office applications and computerised client databases (we use Charity Log)
- You will have ideally have experience of delivering contracted services
- You will have experience of maintaining and enforcing boundaries, adhering to policies and procedures and handling sensitive information
- Ideally you will have some knowledge and understanding of issues relating to rape, sexual assault and child sexual abuse, and its impact on survivors

- Experience of overseeing pilot projects, ensuring key milestones are achieved
- Experience of compiling performance, monitoring and evaluation reports
- Able to research, analyse and summarise information
- Ideally have experience of overseeing external accreditation processes

- Become confident in the use of our client database Charitylog in order to produce reports and statistics
- Understand pilot pathways from NHS and East Riding of Yorkshire
