Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
- Oversee all aspects of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting, ensuring alignment with the foundation’s strategic goals across UK and Brazil
- Manage and monitor cash flow, forecasts by restricted causes , and the overall financial performance.
- Prepare accurate financial reports for the COO, Founders or and Board of Trustees, including monthly management accounts, impact reports and reporting against the agreed KPIs
- Lead on the preparation of the annual budget, consolidating the UK and Brazil budget, and provide financial analysis to support decision-making across the organization.
Ensure compliance with all tax, financial, and regulatory requirements relevant to a charitable organization.
Compliance and Governance:
- Ensure the foundation complies with all legal, regulatory, and ethical standards, particularly in the charity and non-profit sector.
- Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures to manage risk and ensure strong governance across UK and Brazil
- Manage relationships with external auditors, ensuring timely submission of audited accounts and submissions to charities commission
- Monitor changes in relevant legislation and the charity sector, advising senior management on compliance and regulatory matters.
- Act as the main point of contact for legal matters and ensure that contracts and agreements are legally sound.
Risk Management:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive risk management framework to identify and mitigate financial, operational, and reputational risks.
- Conduct regular audits of internal systems and processes to identify areas of improvement.
- Implement safeguards to protect the foundation’s assets and reputation.
Team Leadership and Collaboration:
- Lead and mentor the finance analyst, promoting a culture of transparency, integrity, and excellence.
- Collaborate with the program teams to ensure financial goals and project goals are aligned.
- Support the fundraising team in grant applications, ensuring financial compliance and reporting for all grants and donations.
Key Requirements:
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or other relevant professional qualification.
- A minimum of 5-7 years of senior financial management experience, preferably in the charity, non-profit, or social enterprise sector.
- Strong understanding of financial management, charity governance, and compliance requirements.
- Experience in managing external audits and working with auditors, legal professionals, and regulatory bodies.
- Excellent knowledge of charity tax laws, financial regulations, and best practices.
- Demonstrated experience in risk management and developing compliance frameworks.
- Outstanding leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate financial information to non-finance senior stakeholders and Founders clearly.

Make a difference
This is an exciting opportunity to join our new service supporting Unpaid Carers across Lewisham to improve their health and wellbeing, and access support that meets their needs.
The team works with unpaid Adult Carers, Young Adult Carers and Young Carers, completing statutory and holistic assessments to understand people’s individual circumstances and level of need. You will carry out home visits and community meetings, co-produce support plans, and develop effective relationships with Unpaid Carers, families, and professionals.
You’ll build on your local knowledge to signpost and facilitate access for Unpaid Carers to support services, including financial and benefit advice, housing, health and safety home systems, and leisure and social activities. You will also support the development of escalation plans so that Unpaid Carers are prepared for unforeseen circumstances that would impact negatively on ability to care.
Applicants should have relevant personal or professional experience of working with Unpaid Carers and/or vulnerable adults or children in a social care, health, education or voluntary and community sector. You’ll need a practical understanding of barriers faced by Unpaid Carers, and an awareness of cultural differences and access to services. Experience of working in mental health or dementia services would be an advantage.

Oaklands & St Kilda is a pair of 6 unit supported accommodation mental health rehab services working with young people between the ages of 18-25 who may have experienced a mental health related hospital admission to gain and develop skills for future independent living. The service will support individuals transitioning from Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services to Adult services.
The service forms part of a pair of services supporting up to 12 individuals at any one time across the sites, providing a welcoming and supportive environment for young people across London on a spot purchase basis.
Specialist Support workers will manage a number of young people to help them to identify, plan and achieve their goals, develop relationships meaningful to them and achieve greater independence by providing a flexible and individually tailored support package.
The Specialist Support Worker role involves early shifts (8:00-16:00) and late shifts (14:00-22:00) throughout the week, including some weekends each month.
This is a one-year role, starting in January 2025, with the possibility of extension.

As part of the bid writing team be accountable for writing multi million pound winning bids for agreed contracts, tenders and frameworks in line with the agreed operating model, enabling United Response to retain and grow income in a sustainable way.
Key responsibilities
Bid writing
· Writing high quality and innovative responses in tenders and framework that are representative of United Response work in collaboration with Operation colleagues and Relationship Managers that will lead to winning multi million pound partnerships
· Working closely with the Principle Commercial Bid Writer, Heads of business development, operational subject matter experts to ensure that all tenders, are written to an excellent standard and meet necessary criteria within internal and procurement timeframes.
· Editing and copywriting content to provide consistent and engaging written submissions.
· To articulate and illustrate information provided to you as well as work up concepts into creative and innovative ideas, in line with The United Response strategy and brand. This will include research, example gathering, development of new initiatives and engaging internal and external stakeholders, to include in model development and submissions which will lead to significant increases in income.
· Working with the Principle Commercial Bid Writer to develop a library of sector leading stock responses ensuring tools, examples and information are kept up to date and properly represents the work we do

Budgets and Critical Analysis
· Develop comprehensive blue prints for each of our contracts, which will include:
o Rigorous and comprehensive cost benefit analysis for all of our services and bids.
o Experience of developing significant comprehensive budgets for bids to ensure that the ROI is met ensuring sustainable contracts.
o A full risk assessment for the contract to inform decision making for a bid no bid scenario.
Best Practice and Learning
· Keep abreast of latest innovations and research to include in responses.
· Work with colleagues in Operational, Quality and Practice teams to ensure the best practice is shared and knowledge and management information is both used in tenders and available to the organisation.

About the role:
The Diversion programme began as a two-year pilot programme launched in July 2019 and funded by MOPAC (Mayor’s Office for Policing & Crime). The aim was to drive multi-agency working between the police, Voluntary Community Sector (VCS) service providers and other statutory partners and was part of a wider programme of work to develop a whole system approach to identifying and addressing the needs of women involved in the criminal justice system in London. The Diversion programme integrates a short-term, holistic package of support for women with an out of court disposal, to improve outcomes for the woman and offer Police officers a robust alternative pathway other than prosecution.
We have recently been awarded funding from Portsmouth City Council to deliver a 12-month pilot of the Diversion Programme in Portsmouth, to support those women of the PO1-PO6 area postcodes, who encounter the Police and as a result are then to be referred to the Diversion service rather than be prosecuted.
The successful post holder is required to pass Police Vetting
About You:
To be successful as Diversion Keyworker you will have an in-depth knowledge of issues facing women offenders and those at risk of offending; both in and out of the criminal justice system and the ability to see how violence against women and girls interlinks to women in the criminal justice system.
In short, you will have: -
You will bring proven practice of working with women experiencing issues related to offending (e.g. homelessness, substance misuse, domestic abuse, mental health or other relevant work area) preferably within criminal justice setting. You will be able to demonstrate your experience of conducting needs and risk assessments and of risk management crisis management skills and an ability to cope in stressful situations. You will show forth your ability to manage a caseload and a top-quality skill set with prioritising and organising your own workload.
You will be a self-serving uniquely able to undertake working independently and at times be managed remotely. That said, you will have a proven record of collaborative and working partnership with relevant statutory and voluntary groups, demonstrating the ability to develop and maintain strong constructive working relationships.

Summary of role
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is a pivotal role for our Alliance, acting as deputy to the Executive Director (ED) and leading on operationalising our strategy to protect children from sexual exploitation and abuse online.

Job description
1. Organisational leadership and people management
-
Work with the ED and SMT to ensure a values-led and positive organisational culture is reflected throughout ways of working, internal communication, policies and processes, and all team activities.

Line-manage Senior Management Team (SMT) members, operational roles and other roles as necessary (currently Head of Development, Head of Communications and Engagement, Head of Policy, Advocacy and Research, and Operations Manager).

Chair weekly SMT meetings.

Oversee human resources and people management processes, ensuring alignment with best practice in areas including recruitment, induction, performance management, safety, wellbeing, learning and development, and benefits.

Ensure diversity, inclusion and equity (DEI) considerations are at the forefront of all work and decisions, working alongside our expert DEI Consultant.

Oversee the bi-annual, in-person team retreat.

2. Operational management

- Financial systems, policies and controls
- Annual budgeting, quarterly reforecasting and monitoring.
- Monthly management accounts
- Annual statutory audits and accounts
- VAT and tax compliance
- Banking and payment authorisation
- Salary benchmarking

- Oversee a strong value for money culture, supported by robust policies.

4. Risk management, governance and compliance
- Oversee organisational risk management, maintaining the Risk Register and ensuring robust controls are in place.
- Lead safeguarding work as the SMT Safeguarding Lead; working alongside the Participation Manager and Board Safeguarding Lead to ensure robust safeguarding policies, processes, training and a strong safeguarding culture, ensuring it is a key consideration throughout all organisational activity and decision-making.
- Lead on legal and regulatory compliance issues, seeking advice from lawyers in the UK, Belgium and The Netherlands, and other experts, as necessary.
- Ensure governance structures and processes are robust and compliant.
- Ensure adequate insurance cover is in place in all jurisdictions.
- Oversee data protection and cyber-security systems, policies and processes, ensuring compliance with best practice and legal obligations.
- Oversee crisis management processes, and work as a key member of any crisis management committees.
5. Stakeholder engagement
- Liaise with the Management Board and Global Policy Board on operational and governance issues, producing reports and presentations as required.
- Maintain strong and effective relationships with a broad range of external stakeholders including Alliance members, partners, consultants, service-providers, donors, lawyers, auditors, regulators, and advisors.
- Represent the Alliance at external events when required.
6. Wider organisational responsibilities

FearFree delivers services across the Southwest for victims, children and perpetrators of domestic abuse and victims of sexual violence. We provide responsive, victim focused, and trauma informed support and this post will be fundamental to ensuring service users, stakeholders and partners experience this in our daily delivery.
This role is part of the commissioned Gloucestershire Positive Relationships (PRG) Service. The role can involve the delivery of evening group work once a week in Gloucestershire (4 hours per week) and the provision of 1-2-1 support for people not suitable or not yet suitable for the accredited programme. 1-2-1 support will be culturally flexible, appropriate, accessible and equitable to people of all ages, genders, ethnicities, abilities and sexual orientations.
This role will also include responsibilities of service promotion, awareness raising, triage, assessments and outreach 1-2-1 support across the county within the different districts.
The post holder will play a key part in developing and delivering an effective model of 1-2-1 interventions to assist people to change their behaviour, in addition to the delivery of a Respect accredited, structured abuse prevention programme delivered with a co-worker.
There may be additional opportunities for sessional programme delivery of other programmes.
The role will also include working with other agencies to ensure that a coordinated community response approach is taken to support the persons recovery and personal goals and attendance at multi agency meetings as required.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those affected by domestic abuse.
Client Based Duties
- Identify and assess the risks and needs of individuals who are abusive in a relationship or other domestic setting, using an evidence-based risk identification checklist e.g. Respect RIC.
- Advocate for individuals who need to address their abusive behaviour.
- Take part in casework meetings with other workers and share information with the Partner Safety Worker/affected Others Worker for men on the structured programme.
- Co-facilitate an accredited group programme one evening a week.
- Where possible, cover holiday/sickness absence of other group facilitators.
- To implement actions agreed in casework discussions.
- Understand the role of all relevant statutory and non-statutory services available to those who are abusive and how your role fits into them.
- Liaise closely with and refer on to other organisations that support victims for the partners of those receiving 1-2-1 support.
- Support the client to recognise their abusive behaviour and the effect that it has on others/their families and assist them in recognising the features and dynamics of domestic abuse present in their situation, and help them change unhealthy patterns of behaviour.
- Understand multi-agency partnership structures and work within a multi-agency setting which may include participation at the MARAC/MAPPA. You will contribute interventions and help design a plan to protect victims and affected others, whilst maintaining an independent role on behalf of your client, keeping the safety of those affected at the forefront of all actions.
- Ensure support provided is accessible to clients in terms of location and times.
- Be proactive with your line manager in carrying out regular case reviews based on a review of risk and abuse which:
- Feeds back into action planning to further progress, signpost or close cases and;
- Provides feedback to your clients/agencies.
- Maintain accurate and confidential case management records and safety plans and contribute to monitoring information for the service.

Oaklands & St Kilda is a pair of 6 unit supported accommodation mental health rehab services working with young people between the ages of 18-25 who may have experienced a mental health related hospital admission to gain and develop skills for future independent living. The service will support individuals transitioning from Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services to Adult services.
The service forms part of a pair of services supporting up to 12 individuals at any one time across the sites, providing a welcoming and supportive environment for young people across London on a spot purchase basis.
Support workers will manage a number of young people to help them to identify, plan and achieve their goals, develop relationships meaningful to them and achieve greater independence by providing a flexible and individually tailored support package.
This is a Waking Night role working to support young people throughout the night at the service.
This role consists of three weekly shifts from 22:00 to 08:00, with double cover for each shift.
