You will be a Youth and Wellbeing Practitioner or an Assistant Psychologist who is passionate about supporting MAC-UK’s objective of working collaboratively with young people, innovating services and systems and their approach to mental health, to address health and social inequalities. We aim to support services to be more accessible, flexible and responsive to excluded groups, and to change the systems that lead to and maintain inequality.  This role is ideal for someone who is looking to develop their skills in youth and community work and/or working towards a qualification (degree equivalent) in Youth Work, Social Work, Therapeutic Practice, Clinical/Educational/Forensic/Counselling Psychology.

We are very excited to be part of a pilot service, new in England working as part of a consortium of four organisations, alongside Lambeth Council. This will be a residential support service for young people aged 16-24 years at risk of serious youth violence, who are already caught up in the criminal justice system and at high risk of remaining part of the system.

You will be working in one of three London properties alongside a large multi-agency staff team made up of experts by experience/profession in psychology and therapy; youth work; offending; education, training, and employment (ETE) and housing. The service will work creatively and holistically to enable young people to exit environments involving youth violence, identify and reach their goals and aspirations, move on successfully to appropriate independent living, and importantly to sustain this life.  Wherever possible staff and young people will co-produce what this service looks like and what activities the young people engage in.  This is a great opportunity if you are interested in therapeutic practice, and developing or using your therapeutic skills alongside the area of social action.

The service provides 10 weekly universal activities across East Ham over 49 weeks of the year for young people aged 9-19 including:

• Three outdoor MUGA sports sessions per week.
• Three youth hub session per week which includes branched off projects such as Junior Gym, screen acting, Muay Thai, healthy cookery sessions, calming crafts and sports.
• EKO Pathways after school delivery sessions, helping to support children with social, emotional, behavioural and mental health needs.
• Outdoor parks MUGA session
• Year-round trips and residentials
• Youth Theatre
• Delivery of three-week summer holiday scheme which involves volunteering placement with accredited Sports Leadership Award for 30 participants and employment for additional young people. This includes Stepping Up life skills training and social action campaign planning workshops.

This role sits within the Community Education and Training team, working to support our learners to access, complete and progress through our wide range of adult learning provision. The main focus will be on providing additional support for learners who need wrap-around support relating to a range of additional personal and educational needs. This could include welfare, personal and family support and wider mental health and wellbeing support or additional learning needs such as dyslexia, ADHD, literacy support and other needs.

You will work with the team to implement strategies and support plans for individuals to aid learning and enhance educational experience. You will support the team’s administrator to monitor learner’s attendance, contacting them via phone, email or arranging a meeting in person where pastoral support is needed.

You will work with our Adult Safeguarding Lead to support safeguarding cases across our departments, including keeping safeguarding records, making referrals and building a database of local support services available to learners and other service users.

We are looking for a dedicated individual who is passionate about supporting learners to ensure they have the best opportunity to thrive on their learning journey.

About this role

The Communications and Marketing Coordinator will ensure that communications and marketing priorities are implemented across the organisation to build brand awareness and reputation, increase reach and engagement across key stakeholder groups (funders, learners, coordination bodies, strategic partners), support fundraising activities, as well as contribute to RedR’s positioning within relevant sectors.The post holder will have exceptional communication and organisational skills with a keen eye for detail and an interest in learning and development within RedR’s thematic areas.

Summary of Key Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Development and implementation of yearly comms and marketing plan with support from Associate Director of Business Development and Programmes
• Produce regular website, social media and communications content as well as newsletters to maintain engagement and improve our reach across our members, supporters, funders and other target audiences
• Website maintenance and improvements in coordination with relevant staff, centralising efforts to ensure the functionality of the website and key integrations with third party platforms

Social Media and website

• Work with the Associate Director of Programmes and Business Development to create and develop campaigns (including fundraising and awareness raising campaigns) to be run across social media platforms

This is an excitign opportunity to lead our Youth Work programme and Day Centre provision at NHYC. This position is a six-month fixed-term contract to cover a staff member going on sabbatical. Position: Chief Operating Officer
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer
Hours: 35 hours per week (full-time) 
Contract: Permanent 
Location: London with hybrid working – flexible and home working policy   

We are seeking an operational and people focussed Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join our Executive Team. You will drive development of all financial and operational management, processes and reporting, overseeing the organisation’s day-to-day operations including the leadership of Finance, People, Governance, Fundraising, Marketing and Communications and Digital. 

The successful candidate will have held broad finance and operations positions, with a track record of interacting at Board level and presenting clear financial and management information. Whilst you don’t have to be financially qualified, we do need someone with strong financial acumen and demonstrable ability to monitor, interpret and communicate financial information effectively. You will have experience in implementing new and/or successful improvements to existing systems and processes, with a track record of driving organisational change. The post holder will have a good understanding of regulation and best practice alongside the ability to develop efficient processes and controls in line with our governance framework. Ensuring that people are at the centre of the Florence Nightingale Foundation (FNF) you will play a key role within the Executive team supporting the charity to achieve sustainable growth and delivery of efficient and effective services ensuring plans are developed and implemented, and targets are met. 

You will have a passion for our purpose, commitment to our mission and alignment with our organisational values. Whilst being robust about process, you need to be able to flex to changing circumstances and be skilled at getting the best out of people as well as driving a culture of continuous improvement and learning. Crucially, you will be wholly committed to driving forward the core infrastructure for our work supporting nurses and midwives in leadership development to improve health and care outcomes.

Experience, Knowledge, and Skills 

• Proven experience as a senior leader in ideally a non-profit or public sector organisation

• Strong and extensive operations management experience, financial leadership and programme delivery 

• Experience of working on projects to integrate systems and improve processes / ways of working would be highly desirable 

• Demonstrated success in strategic planning, organisational development and stakeholder engagement 

• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff 

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of representing the charity effectively to external audience 

• Experience of working with a Charity Board of Trustees 

• Proven ability to develop a long term financial strategy and plans 

• Experience of developing and implementing processes and policies as well as setting standards and targets aligned to organisation objectives 

• A commitment to the charity's mission and values 

• Excellent numerical and analytical skills with the ability to distil and communicate complex financial information in a way that is easy to understand 

• Ability to think strategically, anticipating future trends and developing plans accordingly 

• Encourage innovation and seek to understand best practice from both inside and outside the sector 

• Strong financial acumen and demonstrable ability to monitor, interpret and communicate financial information effectively is essential 

• ACCA/CIMA/ACA or an equivalent finance qualification is desirable

We have been lucky enough to secure funding from the National Lottery Communities Fund and Swire Charitable Trust to deliver of a three year Wilder Watford programme of community organising and support with the aim to create more space for nature in Watford.

About the role

The Wilder Communities Officer will inspire and support community-led action for wildlife in Watford, and empower local people to create more wildlife rich spaces on their doorstep.  Working with colleagues across the Trust, the Officer will help to build a wilder future through local community action for nature.
