Job Title: Fundraising Officer (Trusts)
Salary: £16,800 (£28,000 FTE)
Contract: Permanent, 3 days per week (or 22.5hrs per week on another agreed working pattern)

Power2 is a fast growing and energetic children and young people’s charity that has supported 27,000 young people since 2001. We are based in the North West of England and London and deliver early-intervention asset-based programmes to children and young people who have mental wellbeing challenges and are disengaged from school and more widely. We are well-known for our accredited Teens and Toddlers programme and its variations focusing on mental health, school transitions and physical activity, and are supporting young people via Power2 Rediscover, an intensive 1:1 wellbeing programme.

We have an opportunity to join our Fundraising Team as Fundraising Officer, raising the funds that enable young people to benefit from our life-changing programmes.
The majority of the successful candidate’s time will be spent in growing an already established Trusts and Foundations income stream; you will be responsible for writing applications to and managing relationships with small and medium grant-makers (giving up to c.£10k). You will have the autonomy to manage your own portfolio of new and existing funders, with support from the Head of Fundraising, and will support the wider fundraising team with research needs.
This is an exciting time to join the Power2 fundraising team, as we aim to grow and diversify our income sources. The successful candidate will therefore have the opportunity to be involved in the growth and development of new areas of fundraising and to be involved in activities reflecting their own interests and career aspirations.
Direct experience is not essential for this role – more important is that you possess transferable skills and can demonstrate experience in distilling complex information from a range of sources and communicating it in a persuasive, engaging way to different audiences. The successful candidate will therefore have excellent communication skills, be highly numerate and a great team player and collaborator.
We operate hybrid working, and this role can be based at either our London or North-West (Ashton-under-Lyne) office, with at least one day working in the office per week. We offer flexibility as to when the role’s hours are worked, and exact working patterns can be discussed at interview.

We are seeking a Trusts and Foundations Fundraiser to join our passionate and dedicated fundraising team. Your role will be pivotal in securing vital funds for the hospice by developing and maintaining meaningful, positive relationships with grant-making organisations and individual supporters. You will research and apply to appropriate trusts and foundations while leading the identification of new grant opportunities.
Hours of work: This role is 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday with the very occasional evening or weekend for Events.
Location of work: Hybrid, home-based or hospice-based (an initial hospice-based period is required for onboarding and familiarisation with the team and our mission).
About the role
Some of the key responsibilities include (but not limited to):
· Clearly communicating the charity’s funding needs to potential funders through high-quality funding applications, face-to-face meetings, and other communications.
· Building strong, long-term relationships with funders through regular updates, written feedback, and networking opportunities.
· Conducting in-depth research to identify funding needs, particularly for core income, and collaborating with Rainbows care team leaders on funding requirements.
· Producing high-quality reports for funders to demonstrate the impact of their contributions and nurture ongoing support.

The Role
As our Retail Support Manager, you will provide management cover at retail locations as required by the charity. Supporting the Retail Area Manager, you will manage the day-to-day operation of the shop that you are covering, including managing a team of volunteers, ensuring accurate accounting and handling of assets, delivering high standards of customer service, and adhering to all charity policies and procedures. You will lead by example and ensure that volunteers, supporters, donors, and customers understand how their contributions are making a difference to the lives of people in Yorkshire and beyond.
Specifically, you will:

Provide management cover at Retail locations as required by the charity currently including (but not limited to Castleford, Heckmondwike, Selby, Leeds and Hull shops). This may also expand to include additional locations as the charity’s number of shops grows however depending on the role holder’s geographic location, we can agree which areas will be covered.

Lead a team of volunteers to deliver an outstanding customer experience.

Deliver any volunteer training required and make every effort to create a welcoming and happy environment.

Responsible for volunteer training and engagement, ensuring the volunteer management system is actively kept up to date in the absence of the Shop Manager.

Ensure there is management cover and sufficient volunteers to operate all trading hours.

Ensure accurate accounting and handling of assets (items donated and money received).

Responsible for ensuring accurate record keeping of items donated and the amount paid for each item for Gift Aid tax reclaim purposes at each location.

Prepare and complete all shop administration including cash handling and banking functions to the highest standard, accurately and on time, always adhering to charity policy and procedures at each location.

About You

What will I be doing?

Acting as a key strategic partner to the central internal communications team, ensuring seamless integration and delivery of charity-wide communications appropriately to Trading staff
Overseeing the strategic planning, coordination, and approval of all internal communications to Trading, including high-impact weekly newsletters and other critical communications channels
Collaborating with national and regional PR teams to ensure internal and external communications are aligned and integrated
Providing active leadership within the Trading Internal Communications team, ensuring the team delivers innovative and best-in-class internal communications
Overseeing the Trading communication platform, ensuring timely, relevant and impactful updates to Trading staff

About the role
The purpose of this role is to lead on projects across our policy priority areas, commissioning research, developing policy positions, and producing reports and consultation responses. There will also be opportunity for line-management within the team.

As a Senior Marketing Delivery Executive, you will support our audience and product marketing teams in delivering campaigns across a wide range of products, using a variety of different channels.
We are looking for candidates who have had some experience in delivering multichannel campaigns and who are looking to take the next step in their marketing career. What will I be doing?
Oversee the campaign set-up and management process across multiple channels in response to briefs, ensuring campaign assets are audited prior to launch.
Lead on the delivery of data and digital campaign set-up requirements in collaboration with Data Selections, Digital Marketing and Social teams.
Work with UX experts to devise and deliver pre-launch test and learn initiatives, sharing findings with stakeholders and recommending optimisations based on results.

We are now recruiting for a new Events & Community Executive to join the frontline of our fundraising stewardship, so strong relationship-building skills and a love of creating great supporter experiences are essential. A big part of this role is project managing PCR’s fundraising activities, including virtual and third-party challenges. This requires a proactive approach, an eagerness to learn and a readiness to get stuck in with a positive attitude, as well as some experience of leading a project yourself in the past. You will work closely with the Virtual & Challenge Events Manager, existing Events & Community Officer/ Executives, and the whole team – sharing best practice, learnings and supporting each other to reach and exceed our shared goals.
This role will focus on virtual & challenge events activities but will get exposure to the full range of our events & community fundraising portfolio for your development and interest – and you will receive the training and support needed to succeed!
Key Responsibilities
Event management and delivery

Lead the delivery of the fundraising activities you are working on, keeping an eye on objectives, budgets and the bigger picture to ensure that opportunities to improve and maximise fundraising are seized.

Create and follow action plans for your projects, taking responsibility for processes and delivery of tasks on time.

Maintain strong working relationships with suppliers and third-party organisations.

Stewardship

Lead on delivering PCR’s supporter journeys for your projects, providing a high level of stewardship with an understanding of the connection between engagement and the income & awareness raised for PCR.

Lead on relationship management as required for the fundraising activities you are working on.

Carry out regular stewardship tasks including content delivery, the management of stewardship tools (e.g. Mailchimp, GivePanel & Kudosity) and responding to supporter queries via all channels. Plenty of training on tools will be provided!

Collaborate with the team on the upkeep of supporter journeys, using feedback & data to spot opportunities for constant improvement of fundraisers’ experience with PCR and motivating them to raise more and remain loyal supporters.
Marketing and Recruitment

Work with the Events team managers and external marketing consultants to create effective marketing plans and lead on their implementation, making best efforts to hit acquisition targets for the fundraising activities you are working on.

Create & deliver marketing plans and assets which are tailored by a good understanding of our existing & target audiences.

With the support of team managers, track and analyse marketing performance to proactively suggest improvements.
Administration and Database

Manage stock fulfilment, sending merchandise to supporters and replenishing materials as required, ensuring high quality, good value and an appropriate & creative application of PCR’s brand.

Carry out participant data processing, income processing and budget management tasks as required, including coding, database administration, paying invoices and tracking income & expenditure in logs.

This remote role can be worked from anywhere in the UK, ideally over 2 days Monday-Friday. The salary for the role is £29,000-£31,000 (pro rata £11,600- £12,400).
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Identify Funding Opportunities: Research trusts, foundations, and other funding bodies whose criteria align with PKD Charity’s work. Build a robust pipeline of potential funders.
Craft Compelling Applications: Prepare, write, and submit high-quality, persuasive funding applications. Tailor proposals to meet each funder’s specific guidelines and highlight the charity’s unique impact.
Data-Driven Case Development: Gather and analyse relevant information to create compelling cases for support, backed by data that showcases the impact of our programs.
Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective funders, ensuring consistent communication, appreciation, and donor care to foster long-term engagement.
Expand Funding Pool: Utilise sector knowledge to identify and approach new funders, increasing the charity’s income streams and securing diverse funding sources.
Progress Tracking and Reporting: Provide regular updates to the CEO on application progress, successful funding, and potential new opportunities. Develop and manage systems to monitor deadlines, submissions, income received, and application status.

Your right to work in the UK
You must have the right to work in the UK to work in paid employment with us. You’ll need to share documents showing you’re eligible to work in the UK if we offer you employment.
You can find the UK visas and permits granting you the right to work in the UK on the UK Government website. We currently don’t have a Sponsor Licence agreement with the Home Office and aren’t able to support you with your visa applications.
