The role 

MIND in Haringey and its partner Public Voice deliver the Haringey Community Collaborative, providing strategic leadership and capacity building for the borough’s Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS). MIND in Haringey and Public Voice are ambitious, committed and passionate in their support of the VCS, and the social impact that it collectively delivers for residents and communities every day.

The Haringey Community Collaborative service involves providing Haringey VCS: 

• One-to-one and group capacity building support 

• Funding opportunities for projects addressing priority local challenges 

• Access to training and resources 

• A community of practice for collaboration and knowledge sharing, both in person and online. 

The Haringey Community Collaborative team is located across and employed by either Public Voice and MIND in Haringey. This role works alongside a manager for Haringey’s digital community of practice platform, NavNet; and a communications lead for the Community Collaborative. The role reports to the Haringey Community Collaborative Manager.

About You 

We are looking for someone who wants to make a difference to the local community through their work, supporting the success of the voluntary and community sector. You will need to have experience working with organisations and groups to help them develop and grow, and convening.

A confident public speaker with strong presenting skills with the ability to present to a wide range of diverse community groups. Able to engage with people and have a good understanding of co-production.

Able to carry out research and find suitable funding opportunities supporting VCS to write bids and method statements. Designing and delivering workshops on various topics that will support the local VCS in Haringey based on their needs. 

Having a knowledge of the VCS organisations within Haringey would be an advantage but not essential.

Specific Responsibilities:

· Through the design and delivery of excellent, engaging and regular stewardship communications and powerful fundraising appeals, you will grow our income and pool of individual supporters making one off or monthly donations. You’ll also explore and implement ways of promoting Rainham Food Bank across the community to successfully attract an ever-greater number of individual donors.

Through the Model of Integrated Care, HBF offers survivors access to an individually tailored programme of specialist therapy, medical advisory services, legal protection including providing expert medico-legal documentation, welfare and housing support, and creative and skills activities within an integration programme. Survivors of human trafficking benefit from HBF’s counter-trafficking programme of support.

The Role

This is an opportunity to join HBF’s specialist multi-disciplinary team, working alongside experts in asylum and immigration law, and trauma-informed ways of working. The purpose of this role is to lead on HBF’s legal and policy work as it relates to our survivor of trafficking clients alongside our Director of Policy. The Counter Trafficking Legal and Policy Specialist will split their work between HBF’s legal and policy teams – spending three days on legal work and two days on policy work, while also liaising with the multi-disciplinary team to manage client needs and ensure expert collaborative working.

Zarach is the children’s bed charity, and we’re on a mission to end child bed poverty in England, giving children the opportunity to engage at school and a chance to break the cycle of poverty.

This role

We are recruiting for a new role providing EA support to the CEO and administrative support across the organisation. 

Justice and Care is at an exciting moment with the imminent launch of a new ten-year strategy and this role will be a key part of our team and play a vital role in helping us achieve our vision. 

This role will report to the Head of HR but will provide EA support to the CEO and ad hoc support to other members of the Senior Leadership Team. The role will provide administrative support across the organisation so will get to work alongside all teams. 

Your main responsibilities will include;

• High volume diary management for the CEO and providing ad hoc diary support for other members of the Senior Leadership Team. 

• Management of Board meetings including coordinating dates, venues and preparing and circulating Board reports.

• Monitor and manage the budget related to report production and promotion.

Promotion and Distribution

• Have ownership of the promotion and distribution of content and its tracking, so that we can learn what works and continuously improve.
• Develop and provide copy for social media posts, ensuring effective promotion of reports.
• Build and manage report landing pages on the website, incorporating UTM parameters.
• Create press release landing pages on the website and manage related media plans.
• Assist in devising and executing media plans for report launches.

Media relations

• Developing media relations strategy that includes National, Regional and Trade publications.
• Draft and pitch press releases about Be the Business’ work.
• Lead on reporting for media output, producing slides for review at team and management meetings.

Publications

• Lead the calendar of report publications for Be the Business, in coordination with the other parts of the organisation.
• Set and maintain tone of voice across any external publications.

CEO profile

• Lead on drafting speeches, op-eds, and commentary for the CEO including management of social media output.
• Produce and manage LinkedIn content and engagement.
• Develop and agree a strategy for raising CEO profile.

Stakeholder engagement

• Assist in organising and supporting events such as policy briefings, roundtables, and stakeholder meetings.
• Drafting communications to stakeholders including government and leading businesses.
• Contribute to the implementation of stakeholder engagement plans to support advocacy initiatives.
• Support the creation of content for the website.

Skills and Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in communications or adjacent functions.
• Ability to work closely with the CEO and leadership team
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• Experience of using social media to build brand awareness
• Research skills and the ability to assess information critically and distill key messages
• Project management experience including the publication of reports
• Able to manage your time effectively
• Ability to work as part of a small, collaborative team

St Ann’s Hospice is growing! Currently in the process of building a brand new hospice in Heald Green, this new role will build on the strengths of our existing Major Gifts fundraising programme to provide a significant contribution to our new build target and secure income for the future too.

• Researching, developing and managing a pipeline of HNWI in the hospice delivery area,
• Confidentially asking for gifts of five and six figures to support the work of the hospice
• Developing and writing persuasive funding proposals, propositions, cases for support and progress reports for donors.
• Supporting the fundraising development board to ensure appropriate membership and enable them to engage their networks in support of St Ann’s Hospice
• Monitoring Major Gift income and expenditure budgets, to analyse and produce monthly and quarterly management information.

If you're right for us you'll have:

• Degree level education or equivalent experience of research, proposal writing and business development.
  
• Experience of increasing income through building a portfolio of major donors including asking for and securing gifts over £50,000
  
• Proven experience of building strong relationships with a variety of key stakeholders for the generation of income
  
• Worked to a budget with a solid plan to achieve the target, including an assessment of risk and mitigating actions.
• The ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of donors
• Access to a car with full driving licence.
