War Child believes that children’s lives should not be torn apart by war. It’s an exciting time to join War Child as they have just launched their new Alliance initiative. The War Child Alliance brings together the five War Child fundraising members (in the Netherlands, UK, Germany and Sweden, plus Children in Conflict in the US), with 14 programme members, based in and around conflict-affected areas across the world and coordinated by a new international body: the War Child Alliance Foundation. Through the Alliance they are integrating programme activities under one umbrella – allowing War Child to combine strengths and pool resources – all with the aim to multiply impact for conflict-affected children.
As part of the Trusts and Institutional funding team of four you’ll work alongside the Head of Trusts and Institutional, Trusts Manager and Trusts Executive, and be line managed by the new Trusts and Institutional Funding Lead.
Your key objective is to provide operational, administrative and analytical support to the team to grow income and enable War Child to deliver quality programmes. You’ll ensure compliance with quality and donor requirements, contribute to effective risk management, provide support for the different donor accounts and ensure processes and systems are in place, implemented and efficient.
The role requires proactive collaboration with cross-functional teams, excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and strong communication skills.
About the role
- Develop donor profiles by conducting research on potential donors, including their funding focus, giving history, and connections to War Child.
- Plan and prepare meetings with donors by collaborating with senior colleagues and stakeholders to determine strategic objectives and key messages.
- Monitor and share potential funding opportunities with the relevant Donor Account Managers within the Trusts and Institutional Funding team.
- Support the implementation of internal grant management processes.

We are seeking a talented and experienced communications strategist and writer, with a background in sustainable development, science or health communications, to join our Communications Services team. You will be educated to degree level – if you have a postgraduate qualification in a subject area relevant to our work, even better. You’ll be interested in engaging strategically with international development and research projects to showcase results and enhance the impact of their work. Your role will include:
- Developing and implementing communications, campaign and event strategies: you will develop and drive forward strategies and implementation plans to help organisations define their communications objectives and translate them into achievable outcomes.
- Writing and advising clients: you will write (and edit) copy for a wide range of materials and subject areas, and provide clients with advice on communications materials and approaches to best meet their needs.

Working at Scriptoria

Our staff have the flexibility to work wholly or partly from home or from our office in Tooting, South-West London, during regular operational hours (08:30–17:30). Key skills and experience
- A degree in a subject area relevant to our work. A postgraduate qualification would be an advantage.
- A minimum of five years’ experience, together with a track record in developing communications, campaign and event strategies, and advising clients on their implementation.

- Extensive experience as a writer in the areas of sustainable development, science or health, with a demonstrated flair for writing compelling, engaging text that effectively communicates key messages.

Communication and Operations Officer
Orangutan Foundation, founded in 1990, has a unique and diverse approach to orangutan conservation. Communication and Operations Officer Role
The Communication and Operations Officer will play a key role in the smooth day-to-day running of the Orangutan Foundation’s UK office and in raising the profile of this international conservation charity. Working as part of a small team, reporting directly to the Director and working closely with the Finance Manager, this multi-dimensional role requires a motivated and proactive individual, who can manage their own workload and has excellent organisational and time-management skills.
Responsibilities (but are not limited to):
1. Develop and grow digital online content. Create digital communications and develop social media content, create website blogs, monthly e-news and members’ biannual newsletter. Manage annual online appeals ie The Big Give
2. Work with the Director and Finance Manager to deliver exceptional member and donor stewardship
3. Maintain and update the charity’s website and online shop. Process shop orders, adoptions and donations from various online channels
4. Respond to enquiries of supporters and members of the public
5. Ensure the charity’s database is kept up to date and accurately maintained

About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Events Fundraiser to support the delivery of our annual calendar of events which includes the London Marathon, Swim Serpentine, Action Challenges and our Choose your own Challenge programme.
The Events Fundraiser will be responsible for managing the portfolio of challenge events including the marketing; on the day delivery; first class stewardship and participant support from sign up to event completion and volunteer recruitment and management.
Due to the nature of our work, you will be required to attend some events and meetings throughout our catchment area which can be during weekends, early mornings or evenings.

We are looking for a skilled and highly motivated communications professional with significant experience of devising and delivering impactful communications strategies and an impressive track record of effective media work.
You need to be able to create ambitious, highly strategic plans from scratch and then enjoy rolling up your sleeves and delivering them. On some days, you'll be running brainstorms, writing strategies, commissioning research and devising other impactful interventions to influence the mainstream media narrative on our issues. About the Organisation
Together We Learn is a small international development charity with a vision to break the cycle of poverty in Ethiopia by enabling disadvantaged children to access quality education.
We have been working closely with our Ethiopian partner organisation for over 25 years to achieve this. Our UK team is a small, close- knit team that supports the fundraising, international communications, and project delivery of the Ethiopian team.
Our approach is to work alongside state education infrastructure, addressing a range of needs related to access to and quality of education, as well as children’s wellbeing.
Our work with schools includes school infrastructure projects - providing safe, local schools - and supporting teachers with training and resources to inspire children to flourish in the classroom. We also work closely with the children, their families and communities to understand and address the issues they face at home and how these impact their ability to attend and concentrate in school.
We are at the start of a new strategic phase with a focus on building the capacity of our Ethiopian partner organisation to shift the power and be more locally-led in our work.

Project Coordinator
The Role: The Project Coordinator supports our Ethiopian Projects team deliver, monitor, evaluate and report on our various project activities. The role involves regular communication with both our regional project teams and management, supporting the team to meet project deadlines, driving continual programme improvement through monitoring, evaluation and learning, and supporting the UK Chief Executive with project reporting and funding proposals.

Responsibilities
Supporting project delivery (70%)
- Regularly liaising with our project teams in Ethiopia to support them to monitor project deliverables alongside project plans in a timely manner and ensure changes are communicated to relevant parties
- Support with monitoring, evaluation and learning processes by ensuring monitoring and evaluation deadlines are met, collating, analysing and formatting data for review, leading discussions on impact review and supporting discussions for continuous programme development. Including managing office volunteers to support our work in these areas.

The Access & Participation Project Coordinator is a brand new, exciting role designed to support LSESU’s work around access and participation.
The successful candidate will play a lead role in identifying areas where there is a need/opportunity for targeted interventions to support the experiences of students from disadvantaged backgrounds, before putting then translating these into evidence-based proposals.
The Access & Participation Project Coordinator will be responsible for designing, implementing and delivering these programmes, as well as for reporting back on them and proactively seeking ways of driving continuous improvement.
The role will also oversee the delivery of the Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) Mentoring Scheme. This landmark programme, that was last year nominated at the National Diversity Awards, pairs students from ethnic minority backgrounds with LSE alumni, who provide the former with mentoring and support during their studies.
The successful person will be responsible for reviewing the programme and seeking to build upon its fledgling success to ensure it is bigger, better and more impactful than ever.
This role will also involve close working with stakeholders at LSE, especially those working on the delivery of LSE’s Access & Participation Plan (APP).
You would be joining a fantastic and friendly Advice Team, consisting of the Advice Caseworker and Advice Manager, that sits within the wider Student Voice Department, and which together oversees all of the Union’s advice, policy, democratic, campaigning and representation work.
Given the breadth of work undertaken within the department, expect there to be plenty of opportunities to grow, develop and pick up new skills outside of the main responsibilities of the role.

We are looking for a Marketing and Campaigns Officer to be responsible for the marketing across the charity, particularly focusing on the digital channels and campaigns.

The Role
The Marketing and Campaigns Officer is responsible for developing and delivering multi-channel marketing plans, with responsibility for marketing across the charity. This will have a particular focus on digital channels and campaigns, providing copy and strategic direction, but also including marketing of events, products and services. You will collate, analyse and interpret campaign and marketing data to ensure KPIs are met and makes recommendations for future marketing activity. Working closely with the Brand Marketing and Corporate Partnerships Manager, you will liaise with colleagues across the organisation to develop reach through a range of activities.
Main duties include:
- Work with the Brand Marketing & Corporate Partnerships Manager to implement the marketing strategy for the organisation.
- Create and support multi-channel marketing campaigns.
- Track effectiveness of marketing campaigns, report findings to the relevant manager and use data to propose future strategies and campaigns.
- Build the digital presence, increasing traffic and user interactions.
- Research and analyse market trends and competitors.
- Provide copywriting and content management.

- Update Content Management Systems and CRMs with relevant content, in particular, the use of Wordpress.

St Ann’s Hospice is growing! Currently in the process of building a brand new hospice in Heald Green, this new role will build on the strengths of our existing Major Gifts fundraising programme to provide a significant contribution to our new build target and secure income for the future too.
- Researching, developing and managing a pipeline of HNWI in the hospice delivery area,
- Confidentially asking for gifts of five and six figures to support the work of the hospice
- Developing and writing persuasive funding proposals, propositions, cases for support and progress reports for donors.
- Supporting the fundraising development board to ensure appropriate membership and enable them to engage their networks in support of St Ann’s Hospice
- Monitoring Major Gift income and expenditure budgets, to analyse and produce monthly and quarterly management information.

The Salvation Army are partnering with the University of Stirling via the Salvation Army Centre for Addiction Services and Research to deliver a trial for the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR). This unique and innovative social care trial will examine the effectiveness and cost effectiveness of a Peer Navigator/peer support intervention for people experiencing homelessness and problems with substance use. We are now looking for a Peer Navigator (lived experience practitioner) within our Homelessness service to deliver a relationship-based intervention to those experiencing drug and alcohol problems and homelessness, providing both practical and emotional support.

Key Responsibilities: The role of Peer Navigator (Lived Experience Practitioner) is fundamental to The Salvation Army’s desire to help vulnerable clients achieve positive outcomes and as such you will be passionate, target driven, dynamic and demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of services for vulnerable clients in a competitive climate. You will also champion excellence in terms of ensuring our clients are central to our services and successful individual outcomes are achieved.
There is a requirement to work flexibly to meet the needs of participants/client, due to the nature of this particular role, including the outreach element. The usual pattern of work will be Monday-Friday with hours between 8am-6pm. However, some working outside these hours may be requested, depending on the needs of the people you will be supporting. Work life balance will be taken into consideration and individual needs can be discussed with line managers.
The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:
- Their own personal (not family related) experience of homelessness and/or problem alcohol/drug use.
- A passion for supporting vulnerable people, with strong previous experience of working successfully in a similar role, and good knowledge of drug and alcohol issues including harm reduction models.
- Genuine compassion and non-judgemental attitude for people in need with challenging lives.
- Knowledge of the main support needs of people experiencing homelessness and other forms of vulnerability, including problem substance use and challenges with the welfare benefit system.
Appointment subject to satisfactory references, proof of right to work in the UK and Enhanced with the barred list DBS adult workforce Disclosure check.
