About the role
The UK Network of Age-friendly Communities has grown significantly over the past five years and now has a membership of over 85 places. Part of a global movement of age-friendly cities and communities, affiliated to the World Health Organisation, our goal is to support this growing network, ensuring it remains a positive and thriving community of practice, and a place for good ideas to spread fast.
You will be working with the Age-friendly Communities Manager to achieve this goal and to inspire, connect and support network members using a range of engaging methods including:
· Creating online and offline resources such as blogs, case studies, toolkits, etc
· The design and delivery of training, events, and workshops
· Facilitating connections, information flow and exchange between members
This is hands-on role will delivering key learning activities, managing your own workload, whilst also being responsive to support Network members. The role is pivotal to ensuring our support for the Network is high-quality and inclusive of a diverse range of experience and expertise, from within the Network and beyond.

Role Purpose:
This role oversees a team of community support workers and volunteers, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. As part of a small, dynamic team, the Service Delivery Manager will contribute to fundraising, communications, and event management, while supporting the Director of Operations, Engagement, and Services in executing strategic priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management
- Oversee the daily operations of community support services, ensuring the effective delivery of support to individuals affected by MCAS.
- Lead and manage a large team of volunteers, working with the HR team to coordinate recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training to maintain high service standards.

- Proven experience in operations management, preferably within a charity or community services setting.

Bringing the Mast Cell Activation Syndrome community together
Our client is a small UK rare disease charity. Our client established at the end of 2015 to respond to Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS). MCAS is a crippling, unpredictable and frightening condition affecting the immune system. Sufferers from MCAS have “wrongly programmed” immune systems that react to a wide range of triggers including food, drink, stress, temperature and many others. The effects range from unpleasant allergic reactions, through to an overall debilitation resulting in people being unable to leave their houses. It was first recognised internationally in 1990, with a set of diagnostic criteria agreed in 2011, but is little known or understood in the UK, where incidence seems to be increasing. Here patients can wait 3-5 years for a diagnosis, often receive very little knowledge or help from within the medical establishment and can find themselves in a frightening limbo.
Their mission is to provide support for MCAS patients & their families; to bring the MCAS community together and create a cohesive voice; to lobby for awareness, universally available diagnosis and the best possible care for MCAS patients; and to inspire increased research into mast cell activation and related conditions, to improve understanding and treatment.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference by playing a vital role in our work across the North West. This role will be responsible for engaging volunteers and working with partners across the area to raise funds and awareness for RABI.
You will work with our committees to develop their events and embed good practice – as well as identify and test new initiatives to reach and involve new audiences.
To be the RABI lead for volunteering and community engagement across the region to include the researching, developing and supporting local community fundraising across the region. Working closely with volunteers, county committees and local partners – developing, delivering and evaluating new initiatives to reach new audiences, grow support for RABI and make a difference for the farming community.
Key Responsibilities:
- To increase awareness of the charity within the farming/rural community to enable RABI to reach more people in need of support

The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an early career development professional to support the launch of our new fundraising campaign which will take place during our anniversary year of 100 years at Queen’s Road. Key Responsibilities

Run data segmentation for mailings and undertake mass mailings from the database.

Upload annual data for new entries to the development database.
