The Fundraising and Events Officer at Kids Operating Room (KidsOR) will play a pivotal role in supporting the organisation’s mission to provide safe surgery for children by managing the stewardship of mid-level donors, coordinating all administrative aspects of the Fundraising team, supporting the three Heads of Fundraising, managing fundraising events, overseeing fundraising pages, handling Raisers Edge database management, and ensuring appropriate donor recognition and thanking processes are in place.

We are seeking an experienced evidence (systematic) reviewer to support the development of clinical guidelines, guidance statements, national audit and new product reviews, as well as supporting the wider membership and Faculty officers in responding to evidence and research enquiries. Part of the role will be to help establish the technical team and providing advice on appropriate methods and processes for the programme of work.
As part of the CEU team the postholder will work closely with the Clinical Director for the CEU, CEU team, clinical fellows, FSRH Clinical Quality Committees and senior faculty officers as well as national and international clinical experts involved in the field of sexual and reproductive healthcare. Key duties will include identifying and appraising relevant evidence using established systematic review methods and developing structured evidence summaries across a range of products. The postholder will also support the development of methods and new ways of working in conjunction with other members of the team.

The Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (FSRH) is the leader in the field of sexual and reproductive healthcare, and we are the voice for professionals working in this area. As a multi-disciplinary professional membership organisation, we set clinical guidance and standards, provide training and lifelong education, and champion safe and effective sexual and reproductive healthcare across the life course for all.
The Clinical Effectiveness Unit (CEU) at the FSRH develops a range of evidenced-based clinical guidance documents including clinical guidelines, statements and new product reviews as well as associated activities such as national benchmarking audits and responding to member evidence enquiries. The CEU is part of the wider Clinical Quality programme overseen by the Director for Clinical Quality who manages this role.
The role:
1. Analytical and technical:
Responsible for developing a range of literature reviews (scoping, umbrella, and systematic reviews) for clinical guidelines and guidance in accordance with FSRH processes and established evidence synthesis methodologies. This includes:
- Contributing to the development of scopes,
- Developing review questions and protocols,
- Systematic searching and identification of relevant evidence,
- Full quality assessment of evidence including application of GRADE framework
- Synthesising, collating and summarising quantitative and qualitative evidence
- Summarising and presenting evidence to guideline committees (GDG)
- Preparing written summaries of the evidence / GDG discussions as part of the guideline, guidance statements, evidence enquiries or new product reviews
- Collaborating closely with the Clinical Director, Clinical Fellows and GDG to write the guideline and guidance in line with FSRH approach
- Preparing technical responses to comments received during consultation or peer review of guidelines and guidance
- Contributing to webinars, blogs, articles and publications relating to guidelines and guidance products
- Contribute to audit and national benchmarking activities
- Responding to FSRH Officer, member or internal evidence enquiries including in relation to new research or products
- Contribute to surveillance process of new evidence relevant to the update of guidelines or guidance
2. Supporting methodological developments
- Contributing to the technical review of methods and the continuous improvement of methodological practices, proposing changes to processes and methodology as appropriate
- Keeping up to date on the latest developments in evidence-based practice methods
- Contribute to identifying new ways to deliver member evidence review services
3. Planning and project management:
- Working with the team, in particular the project co-ordinator, to help plan the work of the CEU and the delivery of guidelines, guidance and associated activities
- Monitor and control guideline development progress, ensuring adherence to project plans
- Contribute to identifying and mitigating risks and issues in relation to the development of guidelines, guidance and associated products
- Co-ordinate and lead guideline development project meetings, ensuring effective communication among team members
4. Communication:
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships and engagement with a range of internal and external staff, including senior FSRH staff and officers, clinical experts, academics and patient organisations.
- Presenting complex information to multidisciplinary and lay groups such as guideline development groups or FSRH clinical committees
- Contributing to publications and articles on FSRH guidelines and guidance
- Responding to member, press or officer enquiries regarding FSRH outputs and relevant evidence
You will have:
- A Master’s degree level or a higher postgraduate qualification in a related area (for e.g. Public health, life sciences, epidemiology or medical statistics), or medical degree with experience in health services research, or equivalent level of experience gained in a relevant role
- Specialist knowledge of literature review methodology (incl. systematic review)
- An understanding of guideline development and assessment methodology
- An understanding of the principles of evidence-based healthcare, critical appraisal and the interpretation and synthesis of clinical research
- Excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills
- An understanding of sexual and reproductive healthcare (Desirable)
You will have experience:
- Conducting literature reviews from inception to write-up
- Working in systematic reviewing methodology including undertaking quantitative and qualitative methodologies either in an academic, clinical or healthcare research environment
- Performing systematic searches in Cochrane Library, PubMed and Ovid (Medline, Embase)
- Familiarity with study design, health care methodology, conduct and reporting
- Preparing summaries of research findings
- Presenting complex information to multidisciplinary group
- Developing personal networks within the field of evidence synthesis (Desirable)

Purpose of the role:

Purpose of the Role:

ROLE PURPOSE
The Individual Giving (IG) and Legacies Officer will work closely with the IG Manager and play a pivotal role in growing cash and regular donors and legacy giving for St George’s Hospital Charity. This position is crucial to our goal of increasing individual giving from £350,000 to £600,000 and legacies over the next five years.
The postholder will have a strong direct and digital marketing background as they will work closely with the Individual Giving Manager to:
• lead marketing initiatives for all IG streams including cash, regular, Payroll Giving, Face to Face, Lottery.
• drive forward seamless automated digital stewardship journeys, and produce engaging campaigns that demonstrate our impact.
• delivering effective digital activities that grow our brand awareness and income from fundraising campaigns
They will also be a strong administrator, with attention to detail leading on administration for Individual Giving and Legacies, working with IG Manager and Fundraising Assistant to ensure online and offline donations are accurately processed, reconciled and uploaded to our database.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Individual Giving
1.1. Recruit, engage and mobilise donors to increase income year on year.
1.2. Lead on two fundraising campaigns each year, creating communication assets for our website, social media platforms and newsletters.
1.3. Ensure our donation platforms are fit for purpose and integrate into our database, with a view to ensuring we have a high donor conversion rate.
1.4. Ensure all activities comply with relevant data protection and gift aid legislation, adhering to Fundraising Regulator standards.
1.5. Where appropriate, act as a point of contact for external agencies and direct marketing platform providers.
1.6. With support from Fundraising Assistant, ensure our administration, record keeping and thanking for all IG activity is accurate and up to date.
1.7. Process & record income onto our CRM, including batch uploads.
2. Legacy Giving
2.1. Lead on all legacy administration including processing incoming legacy gifts, keeping accurate records, ensure they are allocated correctly and thanked appropriately, where possible.
2.2. Liaising with solicitors on open legacy cases and recording updates.
2.3. Support IG Manager on legacy marketing materials and campaigns.
3. Donor Journeys
3.1. Develop and disseminate key supporter journeys across web, social media and Google Ads
3.2. Plan, design, write and deliver automated email supporter journeys for new and existing donors to enhance engagement and retention.
3.3. Create engaging communication assets (videos, blog posts, leaflets) for donors and prospective donors that demonstrate the charity’s impact.
4. Direct & Digital Marketing
4.1. Lead on content creation creatively that will appeal and engage our supporters e.g. social media posts, videos, blog posts
4.2. Manage and optimize paid advertising campaigns (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook Ads) to drive traffic and donations.
4.3. Liaise with external agencies where necessary.
4.4. Update associated webpages e.g. Donate, Leave a Gift in your Will, ensuring these pages are user friendly and accessible with a view to improve conversion rates of people donating online and leaving a gift in their will.
4.5. Collaborate with internal teams and hospital staff to research, develop, and deliver new campaigns, messages, or digital products.
4.6. Implement tests with clear segmentation and testing matrices to maximize learning and income from each campaign.
4.7. Analyse and interpret direct marketing campaign results, producing regular reports that draw conclusions and make recommendations for future activity.
4.8. Work with our Database Manager to ensure all campaign data is utilized, captured, and processed efficiently and accurately.
4.9. Work with management to develop a digital fundraising plan that is clear and timeline-focussed to grow relevant income streams e.g. legacies and individual giving.
4.10.Plan and implement strategies to mobilise supporters via digital channels aiming to increase our newsletter subscribers from 3,000 – 10,000 contacts with a view to convert digital leads into cash donors
5. General Duties
• Participate actively in team meetings, contributing ideas and insights to enhance team performance and collaboration.
• Using our communications toolkit, incorporate our branding and tone of voice across all assets.
• As and when required, provide front desk coverage, welcoming visitors and donors at the Welcome Office and serving as a friendly and helpful representative of the organisation.
• Engage in continuous professional development and participate in regular performance reviews

About the Role
The Communications & Marketing Officer is responsible for producing and managing high quality content on the Farms for City Children website, social media channels and other communications assets which will promote and raise awareness of the charity to existing and potential donors, partners, schools, and groups, supporting the charity’s fundraising efforts and recruiting new beneficiaries to the farms.
The majority of the work will be home-based, but due to the farm locations we are looking for someone based in the South West England or South East Wales to ensure that travel expenses are manageable for the Charity. There will be regular travel to the Charity’s three farms in Devon, Pembrokeshire, and Gloucestershire. A full driving licence is essential as the farms are in remote locations and not accessible by public transport.
The post is a full-time role working 35 hours per week over five days. Our usual office hours are Monday to Friday between 9:00am and 5:00pm. A degree of flexibility is available in the working pattern for this role, so someone wishing to work 30 hours per week would be considered.

Role description
The Communities Lead is a critical role in developing and delivering the Centre for Excellence in Community Investment, facilitating its national and local thematic networks, engaging with colleagues across and beyond the social housing sector and identifying potential opportunities for collaboration. Working closely with the Head of Communities and Projects, the Communities and Network Lead will ensure that the activities of the Centre’s networks align with and inform the overarching strategy of the Centre for Excellence in Community Investment. Our networks are spaces for learning, collaboration, problem solving and building positive social impact.
As well as providing a light touch secretariat function to the networks, the post-holder will coordinate activities, identify potential speakers and liaise with network chairs to deliver programmes of work that engage and generate impact.
The Communities and Network Lead will be comfortable representing HACT and the Centre externally, identifying emerging trends and working with the Head of Communities and Projects, and other HACT colleagues, to support the delivery of a programme of work that delivers lasting impact across the social housing sector at a national level.

About you
