We are expanding this vital role and looking for a full-time Money Course Coordinator to match our ambitious plans to equip more individuals with money skills. The primary purpose of this role is to manage Crosslight’s money skills courses that are attended by the local community as well as our debt advice clients. These are delivered in-person or online, taking place in a range of different locations across our network.

This role will involve taking ownership of the planning and running of our free and paid-for courses in all their forms. The role holder  will act as a ‘champion’ for the courses, promoting them internally and externally, including through community engagement and outreach in different locations. And they will have the opportunity to deliver some of our workshops, as well as supporting and equipping our volunteers to do so to a high standard. 

For the right candidate, this role is an exciting opportunity to play a part in supporting a wide range of people, through excellent organisational, interpersonal and presentation skills.

• Location flexible, with a minimum of two days per week in our London office and some evening working e.g. running or supporting with workshops and courses, and occasional forums, training and meetings (TOIL will be available); and regular travel to a range of locations

Job Summary 

The purpose of the Area Giving and Finance Adviser role is to provide comprehensive finance support to churches within the Stepney Area, aiding them in the development of their ministries, manage Common Fund giving and to support the Area Bishop’s staff team in the management of resources including monitoring clergy post numbers, curate funding, and other financial matters. As part of a small team of Area Giving and Finance Advisers, the role involves offering training, resources, and advice on parish financial management and administration, and advice on various giving methods, including online and contactless options. Additionally, the role entails promoting generous giving through training initiatives, facilitating the award of grants and loans to churches from Area funds, and fostering effective communication and relationship-building between the Area team, Finance team, and parish officers. 

Job responsibilities 

Financial support  

• Enable churches to develop their respective ministries, manage their finances effectively, and meet their statutory responsibilities.

• Provide finance and other appropriate training, support, resources and advice to the clergy, PCCs and parish officers.

• Assist the Bishop, Archdeacons and Area Deans in managing Common Fund giving by the churches in the Area.

• Facilitate and monitor the award of grants and loans to churches from Area funds.

• Support the Area Bishop’s staff team and Area Council in monitoring the use of Area resources, including post numbers, curate funding and other matters.

Giving  

• Supporting parishes to encourage a culture of generosity and giving. 

• Promote generous giving through training, preaching and providing resources to clergy and parish officers.

• Support the introduction of different methods of giving, including online, contactless, and Parish Giving Scheme.

Relationship management  

• Build relationships with, and promote effective communication between, the Area team, Finance team, parish officers and the other Area Finance Advisers.  Work with the National Giving Team on projects that support parish ministry.

Other duties  

• The role will require regular evening and weekend working.

• Complete other duties commensurate of the role.

Essential 

• Experience of encouraging charitable giving.

• Experience managing a wide variety of professional relationships. 

• Educated to A Level or equivalent standard. 

• IT proficiency (MS Office suite).

• Understanding of the ethos and mission of the Church of England, and of the role of parish clergy. 

• Effective written and oral communication skills. 

• Numerate and financially astute – comfortable working with financial data.

• Self-motivated, as work needs to be undertaken proactively and with limited supervision.

The Director of Communications and Advocacy is a key role within the Trust, overseeing all aspects of the Trust’s media, communications, campaigning, and public affairs work, ensuring that the profile of the Trust remains high and that we have influence and impact with decision-makers.

The Team

Main duties

Communications and Advocacy

• Leading all aspects of the media, communications, campaigning and public affairs work within the Trust
• Developing a strategic approach to communications, campaigning and public affairs to ensure the Trust further builds its high-profile presence and its influence with key policymakers, stakeholders and decision-makers
• Overseeing the Sutton Trust brand, ensuring that it is clear and consistent across all external channels
• Delivering high quality communications materials across digital, social and traditional media, ensuring that the Trust has a clear, distinctive and authoritative voice
• Securing high-profile media coverage and overseeing the Trust’s relationships with the media, building key contacts and supporting the CEO and other spokespeople as necessary

Person Specification

Terms of Appointment

• Working location: Minimum of 2 office days per week, but further flexibility may be required given the external-facing nature of the role
• Office location: The Sutton Trust, 9th Floor, Millbank Tower, 21-24 Millbank, London, SW1P 4QP. Our home working policy gives staff the option to work from home for up to 60% of the time, with approval from their line manager.
• Hours: The standard working hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday and may also be required to attend events / meetings outside of their normal working hours during weekday evenings and occasionally at weekends. This role also shares primary responsibility for monitoring the out of hours media line with the Head of Communications and Public Affairs.

Reporting to the DARS Data & Migrations Team Lead, you will assist with important data-related inquiries, work on reporting and analysis of data quality issues on DARS, and provide expert guidance to existing and newly-migrated teams on the best ways to assure and maintain the quality of their data. The role will also involve supporting the building of and transition to a new CRM system and the delivery of future data migration projects. Your contribution will be essential for the effectiveness of the activities supporting Development (fundraising) and Alumni Relations across the University of Oxford.

· To explore and understand the experiences that are bringing people to need the foodbank’s support, working with a variety of local stakeholders including foodbank clients

· To feed into our wider strategic work including our 3-year participation targets and strategic communications

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Human Resources professional to join the leading international horse charity World Horse Welfare.

This is a newly created role to support the Head of Human Resources with the day to day running of the department, overseeing administrative tasks and providing guidance to managers and employees on policies and procedures. Leukaemia UK and You 

We are looking for an organised and accurate assistant to support the Public Fundraising team across a range of administrative tasks to ensure our fundraisers have a positive experience supporting Leukaemia UK. These include banking cheques and thanking donors, sending out fundraising materials such as running vests, adding supporters to the database and relevant third-party consoles and fulfilling a range of other enquiries.

The successful candidate will be a friendly, supporter-focussed individual who approaches their work with pride and enthusiasm, working quickly and diligently in a fast-paced environment. They will need to be able to work from our central London office at least two days a week.

• Good working knowledge of customer/supporter databases.
• Working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook.
• Professional, confident and friendly telephone manner to work with a wide range of people and suppliers.

• Excellent written English including spelling and grammar.
• Ability to pick up new processes and tasks quickly and work independently.
• Ability to manage a varied workload.

Job specifics

• Hours: Full time hours are 37.5 Monday to Friday

• Location: Hybrid working with a minimum of two days per week in the office

• Salary range £22,000 - £27,000 (FTE)

Head of Public Fundraising

A fantastic opportunity for a fundraiser to join our dynamic, friendly and supportive fundraising team. You will be reporting to the Lead for Corporate & Community Engagement and working in a very varied and exciting working environment.

The perfect candidate will enjoy forging positive and robust relationships with corporate partners and local small businesses across Berkshire and into surrounding counties, delivering vital income for our charity.  This will include assisting them with organising and delivering events.

You will use your creative and professional skillset to provide high-quality account management, stewardship, and growth in existing corporate partnerships.

You will work proactively to generate new business leads to secure valuable partnerships for our charity. You will undertake research, create compelling proposals for a range of audiences and pitch to companies to secure their support.

This role will suit an individual who has solid experience of fundraising and wants to develop their career in corporate partnership management.

An experienced major donor fundraiser, you will relish the opportunity to own and launch a strategy and implement a long-term engagement plan to strengthen Major Donor relationships that will deliver a new and sustainable income stream.

On the back of continued growth due to successful fundraising performance over the last 5 years, we are ready to take the next step in our fundraising strategy and launch a Philanthropy Giving programme.  You will bring specific expertise and skills in this field to support the fundraising team and build on the already strong stewardship and engagement we have with key individuals.

The role is new and on an initial fixed term contract of 12 months but with the potential to make the role permanent if the strategy succeeds.

You're likely to be a seasoned philanthropy professional, ideally with a track record securing gifts at £50k+. You will be comfortable in working closely with a Senior Leadership team and Board.

With an understanding of philanthropy and what makes major donors tick, you will also have the appetite and aptitude to develop new relationships from scratch.

The role will be a good mix of stewarding existing relationships and building brand-new ones. Therefore, you will need to be comfortable and confident researching and developing new contacts, harnessing the potential of existing networks and working closely with the wider organisation.

A key part to the role will be to deliver engagement activities, therefore event planning and strong project management skills are essential.

As Major Relationships Lead, you will focus on growing Eikon’s major donor fundraising programme, which plays a key role in funding vital services. You will take the lead in developing meaningful connections with donors, raising significant funds, and ensuring donors feel a personal connection to Eikon’s mission and feel good about giving.

Key responsibilities include:

• Building Relationships: Getting to know new and existing donors, inspiring them to invest in Eikon’s work.
• Growing Income: Increasing the current annual income of £300,000 by securing new supporters and larger, long-term commitments.
• Creating Inspiring Communications: Writing proposals, updates, and reports that bring Eikon’s work to life and show the impact of donor support.
• Collaborating Across Teams: Working with colleagues, including the Chief Executive, trustees, and programme leads, to connect donors to the difference their contributions make.
• Leading a Team: Recruiting and managing a new Major Relationships Officer to support this important work.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience in major donor fundraising, securing significant gifts, and building lasting relationships
• Confidence working with high-net-worth individuals and senior supporters
• Strong storytelling and communication skills to bring Eikon’s work to life for donors
• Excellent organisation and time management, able to manage multiple priorities
• Experience leading or managing others in a collaborative, supportive way
• A passion for making a difference in the lives of children and young people
• Experience using a CRM system like Donorfy would be helpful but isn’t essential

The Fundraising and Engagement Administrator will join Sight Scotland at an exciting stage, with a newly formed Cause and Engagement team, a new organisational strategy and direction, and a roadmap for fundraising planned. The charity is recruiting for 5 other fundraising roles alongside this maternity cover.  

This role provides vital administrative support to the fundraising function. You will perform a variety of desk-based tasks ranging from regular banking, data entry and the opening of fundraising post to more ad-hoc tasks such as handling supporter enquiries and working with the fundraising team to support their calendar of activities and key priorities.

For this role, it is vital that interested candidates have experience using a fundraising database and are competent and capable handling financial data. Due to the importance of database management for this role, candidates who can't demonstrate experience using a CRM system to accurately input and review financial data will not be shortlisted. 

This role will involve building relationships across teams to provide customer service, solve problems and spot opportunities for fundraising, so would suit a candidate who enjoys delivering amazing supporter experiences / customer service and speaking to colleagues and supporters face to face, on the phone and via email.
