A Tenant Management Organisation (TMO) is an organisation set up under the UK Government’s Housing (Right to Manage) Regulations 1994, which allow residents of council housing or housing association homes in the UK to take over responsibility for the running of their homes.

 Operational & Strategic Manager

To lead the operational and strategic management of the service covering tenancy services, repairs, cleaning, grounds maintenance and other estate services. 

To ensure the proper governance of the organisation and to lead in a manner that supports and guides the organisation’s mission as defined by the Board of Management.

To manage a small team of seven staff to deliver customer service excellence and inspire them to provide a brilliant customer experience.

To oversee the day to day financial management of the RMO, including rent collection and arrears control.

Yorkshire Children’s Charity is seeking a Trusts and Foundations Manager to work with the CEO to develop and grow a fundraising strategy. You will be responsible for all Trusts and Foundations income generation and you will be expected to deliver high-value fundraising proposals.

Core Functions Trusts and Foundations to Include:

· Maintaining and growing the database of trusts and foundations with potential to support Yorkshire Children’s Charities, prospecting funders for new and growing programmes. You will have access to FundsOnline to support prospecting.

· Work with our Board of Trustees to map connections with Trusts & Foundations and establish a plan of introductions/stewardship to be managed by Trustees

· Proactively seek out trusts and foundations who support capital projects.

· Work with the CEO to develop a funding strategy for the Great Yorkshire Build.

· Work closely with the CEO to develop corporate partnerships.

· Manage Trust income in line with donor requirements.

· Identify and build relationships with trusts and foundations through proactive stewardship to secure new donors and retain existing donors.

· Deliver high quality and engaging content, including but not limited to:

o Funding proposals/applications/Case for Support/’One-pager’ pitches

o Impact reports

o Charity award applications

o Corporate fundraising applications

o Speeches and appeals

o Annual report

o Case study/content bank

· Work closely with the Programmes Team to continue developing the impact measurement framework, collecting, analysing and effectively reporting on charitable output and impact.

· Working closely with the Programmes Team to support the development of new programmes from a funding perspective e.g., our new Forest School Programme in development.

· Ensure we report to trusts/foundations and donors on our charitable output.

· Contribute to the charities newsletters, e-campaigns and external communications to ensure supporters know how their donations are being spent.

· Work closely with the CEO to build and develop the charities subscription offering and maintain existing members.

The Opportunity

The School Engagement Coordinator is a new role working across ImpactEd Evaluation. The role will work directly with schools to deliver national research projects, support their onboarding to our School Impact Platform, and lead communications and data collection for our partnerships. The role would be a good fit for someone with experience or interest in the school sector and research and evaluation.

Day to day your role is likely to be a mixture of:

• Supporting new schools we are working with through their onboarding and data collection processes and monitoring progress
• Working with school leaders and teachers to implement research in their setting - for example on projects like our Understanding Attendance research
• General support for partnership delivery and administrative tasks working with different team members
• Standardised reporting and data analysis – this will require good attention to detail and working with Excel and MS Office Suite

We are looking for some of the following attributes, though you might be more experienced in some areas than others, and we are open to a range of backgrounds:

• Understanding and experience of the UK education system
• Experience of working within an administrative or customer service/partner focused role

This full time, homebased position covering the North of England focusing on our key areas in Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, Merseyside and Greater Manchester. The successful candidate will be actively building networks of organisations and individuals in the region to fundraise for us, writing local grant applications and supporting fundraisers locally as well as our shops and key services in the region. Candidates must be willing to travel to shops and services with the region as well as for team meetings in London and Birmingham, therefore a driving license and access to your own vehicle is advantageous. You will be joining a supportive team that works across regions and income streams to deliver the best possible experience for our growing number of supporters. Travel required to sites once every 2-3 weeks.

Charity People are delighted to be partnering with The Migraine Trust, a small, ambitious charity which is dedicated to helping people affected by migraine, to bring on board an Information Manager.

The Migraine Trust is the only UK migraine charity providing information and support, campaigning for awareness and change, and funding and promoting research, and has been leading and bringing the migraine community together since 1965. One in seven people in the UK live with migraine. This complex and debilitating neurological disorder can significantly affect many aspects of life including work, school, personal relationships, and feelings of isolation.

Every year over two million people visit The Migraine Trust website for the most up to date information, and thousands contact the helplines for information and support on all aspects of migraine. The Migraine Trust campaign for increased awareness and understanding of migraine, better access to treatment, and national policy change to improve the lives of people who get it.

The Information Manager will coordinate and develop a range of health information needed by the migraine community and people living with migraine to raise awareness to both members of the public and health care professionals. The role is also responsible for ensuring the information on the website is up to date and coordinating and managing Patient Information Forum renewals.

Key responsibilities

• Produce and maintain quality health information: You will manage and update health information, scope, plan, and create new content in consultation with stakeholders, and identify target groups to produce materials to meet their needs. You will work within the Information and Support team constantly communicating with colleagues working on front line services to ensure the information being produced is in line with service users needs. You will also be responsible for managing the organisations PIF processes and assessments.
• Engage with the migraine community: You will hold focus groups to understand information needs, build strategic partnerships to disseminate information effectively, and support staff learning and knowledge-building about migraine.
• Support communication and dissemination: You will work with the Communications team to create accessible information formats, provide content for videos, blogs, and other communication channels and regularly monitor and report on the impact of information provision.
• Research: You will act as the key point of communication for the research committee, manage administrative duties for research funding applications and grants, and coordinate research meetings and liaise with funded researchers for project updates.
• Represent and support the charity: You will represent The Migraine Trust at external events and build relationships with healthcare professionals and stakeholders.

The Information Manager will have solid experience of communicating complex health information to audiences in written and online formats, as well as proven experience of producing information from the research stage through to writing, external review and liaising with designers. The successful candidate will have the ability to gain an in-depth understanding of medical and health related information, including research and critical analysis skills to develop an evidence base. You will have experience working within a health communication environment, with excellent verbal and written communication skills, and meticulous attention to detail with demonstrable editing and proofreading skills. You will have the ability to liaise with key stakeholders, be a self-starter with an ability to work independently and as part of a team and be able to work to tight deadlines. You will have knowledge and understanding of the benefits of patient engagement to produce health information.

The role is home-based with meetings in London once every 3 months which will include overnight stays and some ad hoc national travel. All travel/overnight expenses are covered. • Work closely with mission colleagues to ensure that their work represents campaigning and organising best practice and innovation, and with Fundraising & Marketing colleagues to deliver our Supporter Engagement strategy.
• Ensure the direct reports are given clear direction, strong performance management, support, feedback and development opportunities. 
• Responsible for providing coherent and meaningful experience for our supporters across the missions and other areas of SCUK's work.
• Lead a community of practice in the team that keeps abreast of best practice and external trends and innovates to maximise impact for children.

About you 

To be successful, it is important that you have:  

• Experience of leading development and delivery of impactful campaign strategies, with knowledge and understanding of a range of campaigning and organising tactics, and a track record of success. 
• Excellent understanding and experience of mobilising public audiences to affect policy change. 
• In-depth knowledge of and experience of working with a wide range of campaigning and organising techniques and tactics and across diverse digital campaigning platforms.
• Knowledge of working with civil society actors to deliver change and ability to effectively manage and work within networks and coalitions. 
• Line management capabilities including the ability to delegate and prioritise for self and others, planning and goal setting, motivational and strong communication skills. 
• Delegation experience and ability to identify areas of interest and skills across a team.

Ways of Working:

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for a Supported Housing Manager to join us managing West Sussex Tranisitonal Housing. Transitional Housing provides homes for young people in a range of settings across the county. Service is low to medium support for young people in a range of accommodations who are established in managing their own daily living skills and can keep themselves safe. 

The focus of the work is to engage creatively with young people to identify, map and encourage growth of their strengths and talents as they develop into a sustainable and independent adulthood. The Supported Housing manager is responsible for the daily operations at Tranisitional Housing, providing a high quality, safe, welcoming and secure supported housing accommodation for young people at risk whilst leading and developing the team. In delivering the role, you will be responsible for:

-- Service Provision: Responsible for the daily operations of the service so that it meets the requirements of the service specification, and:

- reflects Psychologically Informed Environments (PIEs), Trauma Informed approaches and restorative practices

- identifies, maps and encourages the strengths and talents of each young person, enabling them to acquire the skills they need to lead independent and fulfilling lives

-- Leadership and People Management: Lead and manage a team, recruiting and inducting new staff, and supporting their performance to ensure high standards of service at all times

-- Partnerships: Develop and maintain effective working relationships with partner organisations that add value to the core, commissioned service (or have the potential to) attending relevant multi-disciplinary meetings as needed

-- General: Be a member of the ‘on call’ rota to provide out of hours management support to projects in the wider locality

You will already have experience of leading supported housing services, with proven experience in safeguarding in a supported housing environment. You will have a sound knowledge of the additional risks incurred by children and young people who have multiple, and complex needs due to their experiences and knowledge of trauma informed practice and how to create psychologically informed environments. In addition, you will be flexible, with the ability to work under pressure, multi-tasking and dealing with competing priorities. Ideally you will have knowledge and knowledge of Ofsted.

This is an exciting new role in the Fundraising Team. The Digital Fundraising and Engagement Manager will play a key role in enhancing the charity’s online fundraising presence, leveraging our digital channels to drive awareness of the impact, and the need to engage both existing and potential supporters in fundraising initiatives and putting the donor at the centre of what we do.

A Senior Housing Management worker, who will be based in our Derby office,  acting as an operational practitioner working across accommodation-based services across our Midlands Step Forward Portfolio. Guiding and supporting teams in matters of practice, quality, performance, compliance, and resource management. Line management responsibility for a team of front-line staff and carrying a caseload of service users as required.
