You will:
- Lead the organisation on strategic fundraising messaging, ensuring it's on brand, insight led and aligned across all fundraising communications and channels.
- Develop and maintain a central information resource that gives Fundraisers access to accurate, up-to-date information about the Society's activity and impact - including a Fundraising Information Bank, Shopping List and bespoke toolkits to support regional fundraising.
- Understand what our supports need to know, often around finances, and be able to provide them with accurate information.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships across the organisation, particularly with key communication teams in each departments ensuring a two-way flow of information and feedback about resources produced for teams to use.
- Act as a pivot point to receive, align and direct information for fundraising teams and supporters.
- Develop and maintain a reactive information provision service, responding to queries and bespoke requests within agreed deadlines.
- Develop and maintain a proactive information service, making rapidly available the latest news, messaging, facts, stats and stories about the Society's impact.
- Collaborate with colleagues from other directorates to improve the flow of approved facts, statistics and case studies across the organisation.
- Develop, monitor and report on KPIs for the Fundraising Information Bank.
This is a homeworking role with the flexibility to offer hybrid working, but you may be required to travel to attend meetings, events and team-days, so you must reside in the UK, have the correct right to work documents to work in the UK and be comfortable/willing to travel to our offices (London or Birmingham) if/when required.

About the role
As a Challenge Events Fundraiser, you will support the Regional Fundraising Team to build a successful programme of challenge events that will raise funds and positively promote the Charity.
This role will focus on a portfolio of mass participation and challenge events, as well as supporting national campaigns and community events delivered by programme scheduling, resource management, event marketing, participant recruitment and stewardship, financial reporting, database management and event evaluation.
You will produce and maintain the events calendar, research and recommend new events and work with our Customer Care team to ensure support materials are provided as appropriate. You will ensure event performance; supporter engagement and income are recorded tracked and fed back to the Fundraising team.
You will ensure events are marketed and celebrated via established charity platforms, and participant numbers and income are increased through promotion to new and previous supporters.
You will support participants through their journey, creating a memorable experience and positive impression of the charity, and will attend some events in person.
Previous experience of event planning, participant recruitment and sponsor stewardship would be an asset to the successful candidate, who will also need experience of working with a CRM database and be competent at interpreting financial information and reports.

The Community Fundraising team at Alzheimer’s Research UK (ARUK) is responsible for securing income from individuals, regional businesses and groups fundraising in the community, effectively managing relationships to maximise income.
The Regional Fundraising Officer role will play a significant part in contributing to a high-performing fundraising team. The role will cover the Central region (Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire).
You will report to the Community Fundraising Manager and support the Head of Regional Fundraising to drive the continued growth of the charity’s community fundraising income in your area. You will also be required to show excellent relationship-building skills to support community partnerships and volunteer groups, driving towards agreed targets.
This role is a 12-month fixed term contract to cover a secondment period.
Main duties and responsibilities of the role:
Strategy, finance, and reporting
· Responsibility for 3 income streams within the region including corporate, community groups and Do It Yourself (DIY) fundraising.
· Identify and apply for ‘Charity of the Year’ partnerships with corporates in the region, account manage these relationships up to a value of £50,000 per annum and support the Partnership Development Team with partnerships in your region with a value of up to £100,000.
· Support existing volunteer fundraisers to encourage continued loyalty to the charity and to maximise funds raised, following fundraising legislation and good practice.
· Recruit new fundraising supporters in line with strategy.
· Support the Community Fundraising Manager (CFM) and Head of Regional Fundraising (HORF) in developing the Community Fundraising strategy for ARUK to increase income within this stream.
· Support and extend volunteer networks within the geographical area in line with strategy.
· To ensure that fundraising activity is implemented and managed locally to deliver budgets, targets and income in line with strategy. To achieve this by supporting and facilitating the development of groups and volunteers across the geographical area.
· Work across a diverse geographical area and within a geographically dispersed team, whilst managing own workload cost-effectively and proactively.
Supporter Management
· Provide excellent customer service to community fundraising supporters (including maintaining a polite, enthusiastic manner with prompt responses to enquiries), to acknowledge support and increase long-term loyalty.
· Provide high-quality account management to volunteer groups in geographical area.
· Effective management of volunteer relationships within geographical area.
· Support, motivate and develop local fundraising volunteers, ensuring they have a clear understanding of ARUK to enable them to represent the charity’s work effectively.
· In liaison with the Partnership Development Managers and Partnership Development Officers, provide high-quality account management to corporate supporters within the specified geographical area and/or of relevant value.
· Keep up to date with fundraising legislation and codes of practice to be able to provide relevant advice to fundraisers.
· Ensure volunteers and fundraisers have all necessary materials for fundraising initiatives.
Increasing Community Support within geographical area
· Use own initiative to extend volunteer networks, develop new groups and supporters, and respond to fundraising opportunities within the geographical area, in line with strategy.
· Run volunteer events with both a recruitment and cultivation function, liaising closely with the Stewardship and Events team to ensure a seamless supporter journey, and with the Press team to include media volunteers.
· Manage the recruitment process of new ARUK volunteers in the geographical area, providing relevant support and training.
· Liaise with local community organisations (e.g., golf clubs, educational institutions etc.) – both previous and new potential supporters – to extend income and activity in line with the strategy.
· Initiate and roll out community fundraising events in the geographical area with evidence of effective ROI and achievement of strategic goals.
· Provide face-to-face talks and presentations to community organisations for recruitment/ cultivation purposes.
· Arrange appropriate volunteer representation at events in the community (for example, for cheque collections and talks), spreading the charity’s reach cost-effectively.
· Identify, research and target prospective community organisations, in liaison with CFM.
· Identify, research and target prospective local corporates in liaison with CFM / HORF and ARUK’s Partnership Development Managers and Partnership Development Officers, in line with both community and corporate strategies.
· Accurately track and record contact with both community and corporate prospects for planning and reporting purposes.
Monitoring and Reporting
· Ensure that your activity is monitored and evaluated, clearly communicating progress to your Community Fundraising Manager.
· Manage relevant information on the charity’s database, keeping detailed, up-to-date records of activity and income.
Other Duties
· Contribute to the charity’s social media channels and web content, in liaison with the Communications Team.
· Develop effective community fundraising products with a recruitment and cultivation function, in liaison with the Community Fundraising Manager and ARUK’s Stewardship and Events team.
· Work closely with the Press team to maximise potential publicity and acknowledgement for fundraising supporters and their events.
· Keep up to date with dementia news and research developments to communicate to supporters.
· Stay abreast of competitor activity, particularly in your designated area, to inform strategy.
· Effectively communicate ARUK’s legacy messages to the community and corporate supporters, delivering these messages face-to-face, via telephone and in writing, where relevant.
· Work with other Regional Fundraising Officers offering expertise in one income stream deliverable to the whole Regional Team. Hold a high standard of internal communications to successfully promote regional and local work as a remote-based worker.
What we are looking for:
· Experience in partnership fundraising and/or relationship-building.
· Experience in public speaking, such as giving presentations and talking at events.
· Knowledge of recruiting key volunteers and fundraising supporters.
· Experience and a keen interest in building long-term relationships with supporters.
· Proven ability to provide excellent stewardship.
· An ability to manage a busy and varied workload.
· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
· Excellent organisational skills.
· Full driver’s license with access to own vehicle.
· Flexibility to work some unsocial hours and willingness to travel independently.
· Live within the Central region.
Additional Information:
Ways of working: As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.

Role Purpose

THE ROLE
The Fundraising Manager (Partnerships) role is a fantastic opportunity to lead on developing partnerships with The Girls’ Network's corporate and public sector supporters. The programme is well established with £170,000 worth of partners already on board. There is an opportunity to put your own stamp on the work, developing new collateral and ideas for excellent partnerships. The role is within our Fundraising & Communications team of four staff and works in collaboration with regional Senior Network Managers. There is an opportunity for the post holder to collaborate with the Fundraising Manager (Trusts and Foundations) on the development of grant applications.
Key roles and responsibilities
Income generation
- Primary focus of the role is to manage a portfolio of £170,000 worth of corporate partners and public sector organisations, to meet annual income targets and provide an excellent supporter experience.
- Develop compelling funding propositions and case for support to meet priorities, working closely with colleagues in Fundraising & Communications, Programmes and Monitoring, Research, Evaluation & Learning (MERL).
- Maintain an up-to-date pipeline of prospects through research and excellent record keeping (using SalesForce), ensuring that applications are made to meet known deadlines.
- Collaborate with Network Managers on regional corporate partnerships, ensuring a consistent and good supporter experience and identifying opportunities for development.
- Ensure that all reporting and grant monitoring is delivered in a timely manner, working closely with the MERL Manager and colleagues across Programmes.
- Oversee calendar of third-party events, liaising with external partners and ensuring appropriate TGN involvement.
- Provide internal management information and reporting to the Head of Fundraising on a quarterly basis, or as required.
Stewardship
- Develop data management processes, ensuring timely impact reporting or other agreed deliverables.
- Ensure all donations and supporters are thanked in a timely and appropriate mode to their giving channel.
- Keep all relevant donor and financial information up-to-date on Salesforce, ensuring adherence to GDPR and other relevant good practice, as defined by the Fundraising Regulator and other sector bodies.
- Work with Communications to ensure regular updates to website and other digital channels, identifying opportunities for partnership activities.
- Work with colleagues in Fundraising & Communications and CEO to deliver appropriate partner recognition including events and other engagement activities
Other duties

As a small charity with limited resources, all staff are expected to be flexible with their work and as such you may be required to undertake other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE
- You will have at least five years’ relevant experience as a fundraiser or in other similar roles e.g. marketing or sales, ideally with at least three years working in fundraising and be able to demonstrate previous success in generating income and achieving targets.
- You will be an exceptional communicator with the confidence to work on your own initiative and to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- You will be well organised with excellent attention to detail, work well under pressure and have the ability to think both strategically and operationally.
- You have a good understanding of the disadvantages faced by both women and those from the least advantaged communities and have a drive to rectify the inequalities that currently exist.

Sense has a fantastic opportunity for someone to join our Fundraising Team as our Regional Fundraising Manager covering the Midlands. This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week. This role is home-based, however there will be regular travel to our Hub in Selly Oak, Birmingham as well as other locations across the Midlands.
This is a key role within the Midlands region for Sense, responsible for generating income and engagement, working closely with services, volunteers and engagement staff. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating community fundraising income in the Midlands .You will lead on the implementation and delivery of the community fundraising strategy in order to generate net income and attract more people to support Sense within the region. You aim will be to achieve the income target for the Midlands of £105,000 through 4 key income streams – local businesses, groups and associations, trading and education institutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and build long term relationships with key regional contacts, such as local businesses, organisations, schools and high value individuals to encourage financial and long-term support for Sense within the region
- Local businesses and grants are the largest income drivers for Sense community fundraising. Therefore, this role will build and develop a prospect list of key businesses and community grants in the area, to connect and then apply for
- Work with the Head of Community Fundraising to develop the Community Fundraising strategy for the Midlands, implementing core activities and identifying other potential regional opportunities.
- Achieve agreed income targets, monitoring and forecasting on a regular basis and taking remedial action when necessary
- Manage our Team Community Fundraiser who is based in the Midlands and support their key areas of work and regularly review and monitor their performance
- Collaborate with other teams in Fundraising to pass on supporters and generate potential leads for teams such as Events, High Value Partnerships and Legacies
- Support colleagues in our Operations and Trading teams to develop their fundraising potential including spotting and maximising potential higher value opportunities
