At Kitchen Club, families with pre-school children work together to make a healthy lunch alongside activities to support children's learning and development. We aim to support families by improving outcomes in five key areas:

With management responsibility for up to 8 part-time staff, this is a crucial role within our small but growing organisation, combining team leadership with hands-on support for session delivery, including helping with the washing up if that’s what is needed!

We work with families who face a range of significant challenges, including low income, trauma, and inadequate housing. An important aspect of this job is working closely with the delivery team to understand and respond to individual and group needs. The Programme Manager is responsible for ensuring that families have access to the right kind of support, both within sessions, and from external organisations, from food banks to Family Hubs.  

Since 2014, we’ve been working to make Kitchen Club more effective and establish a clear model for what ‘good’ looks like. The Kitchen Club Programme Manager will play a key role in continuing to drive improvement. We’re looking for someone who is ambitious about what can be achieved within our existing frameworks, but who is also able to contribute new ideas to enhance reach and impact, working closely with the Chief Executive to take our work to the next level.

Summary of key responsibilities

· Lead and support a diverse team of staff and volunteers to deliver high quality Kitchen Club sessions across up to 6 settings per week

· Ensure processes to recruit new families are effective, including outreach and referrals-in

· Liaise with senior contacts in key partner organisations

· Represent the Parent Club CIO, and the interests of Kitchen Club families, in policy and practice forums in Hackney and more widely

The successful candidate will have a proven track record as a manager, with the ability to lead a diverse team of thoughtful, reflective practitioners. You may have a background in community work, early years, parenting support, psychological support services, or community food projects. Above all, you will be committed to delivering positive outcomes for disadvantaged families with young children.

Responsibilities:

Finance and Fundraising:

• Ensure financial compliance and oversee bookkeeping, invoicing, and grant payments.

Required Experience:

The Role: 

Planning the project set up

Over the first 6 months of the role and in conjunction with the CEO and Operations Director, you will plan and begin execution of the housing pilot.  This will include the development of a fully costed project plan.

A pivotal role within the organisation you will work closely with colleagues across Fundraising and Communications including Digital, as well as the Finance Team and with external suppliers to develop and deliver analytics.

The WRC is one of the world’s leading corporate accountability organizations. Senior Director of Development and Strategic Partnerships

The Senior Director of Development and Strategic Partnerships will lead fundraising, outreach, and engagement for the WRC at the level of both strategy and implementation. The WRC’s current annual budget is US$3.3 million, and we seek to grow this in line with our program strategy to roughly $5–6 million over the next two to three years.

Areas of responsibility include:

• Designing and implementing a comprehensive fundraising strategy to progressively increase annual revenue, including identifying, building relationships with, and securing new funding from foundations, other institutional funders, and individuals, as well as pursuing opportunities to expand relationships with current funders;
• Creating and implementing a framework for strategic external partnership communications, including working with the WRC’s global field team to convey the real-world impact of the WRC’s work and overseeing relevant enhancements to the WRC’s website and other communications pathways;
• Leading on grant writing and framing of external communications;

This is a full-time position, available immediately. The position is hybrid for a successful candidate who resides in the Washington, DC-area or remote in the case of a candidate who resides elsewhere.

The WRC will consider candidates located within six hours of the US Eastern time zone. For international candidates and US candidates based outside of Washington, DC, the position requires periodic travel to Washington, DC, and possibly other countries in which the WRC works. Qualifications

Candidates must have:

• A minimum of seven years’ experience in fundraising for nonprofit organizations and/or seven years’ combined experience with fundraising and strategic communications;

IKWRO - Women’s Rights Organisation is a registered charity (number 1151507) which supports Middle Eastern women and girls living in the UK who are facing “honour” based violence, forced marriage, domestic violence or female genital mutilation. As well as providing support to individual women and girls, we run training for professionals and campaigns for better laws and policies to protect women’s rights. We are recruiting a refuge support worker, who is able to model skills in safely engaging women based on mutual collaboration, trust and empowerment.

The post-holder will be responsible for providing intensive case work including risk assessments, safety planning, support, safety, assistance and follow up work to women and girls who are high risk of “Honour” Based Violence (HBV), forced marriage, Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) and domestic violence.  This will entail receiving and assessing referrals, practical assistance, emotional support and a safe environment to ensure that women and girls settle in the safe accommodation while promoting independence and well-being.
