About us

Who we are

Parent Club delivers the Kitchen Club programme. Kitchen Clubs are lunch clubs with additional activities and support. Since 2014, we've delivered over 1000 sessions, working with more than 1200 families. We have a special focus on supporing families in temporary accommodation.

Kitchen Club is for families to cook, eat, play and learn together. Once a week, in a community space with a kitchen, local parents are invited to work together to make a healthy lunch with low-cost ingredients. At the same time, family activities are organised to suport children's learning and development. Through signposting and referrals, Kitchen Club also acts as a bridge between vulnerable families and the services that can support them.

Key outcomes:

· Family Nutrition

· Parent Wellbeing

· Social Connectedness

· Access to additional services & support

· Improved Home learning Environment

Our culture and values

We aim to deliver a trauma-informed service supported by a culture of reflective practice. We work hard to make sure our service is thoughtful and sensitive to the needs of individuals and groups.

We listen carefully to the families we support, and actively seek to bring people with lived experiences of the challenges faced by our beneficiaries into the organisation.

We aim to deliver a service which feels friendly and informal, but with clear professional boundaries and high standards. We prioritise high quality training and support for our delivery team to help everyone feel confident to meet their professional challenges.

Equality, diversity and inclusion policy

We welcome and celebrate the diversity of London and are strongly committed to achieving equal opportunities and access. We positively welcome parents and children of all races, languages, beliefs and backgrounds, making every reasonable attempt to provide access for parents and children with additional needs.

Parent Club promotes the positive recognition, understanding, knowledge and celebration of differences and actively seeks to combat discrimination. As an organisation we are committed to promoting and valuing equality and diversity in all of our activities.

Equality & Diversity is the cornerstone of all of our policies and procedures. We are proud of the actions we take to eliminate discrimination and prejudice to ensure inclusion and engagement for all the people who work and volunteer with us or wish to use our services.

Our team comes from a range of backgrounds and with various expertise. We believe that the strongest performing teams have a lot of difference in them.
