Job Purpose:
Assisting in the resettlement of vulnerable refugees and Afghan evacuees through the provision of advice, guidance, and support.
Context of the role.
Upbeat Communities delivers several services to welcome refugees and support them to rebuild their lives. We are looking to recruit an Integration Worker who will offer support working on the refugee resettlement scheme.
Refugee resettlement takes place across Derbyshire and Lincolnshire. Over the past 7 years, Upbeat Communities has welcomed and played a key part in the resettlement of Syrian refugees in partnership with local authorities in both counties. This role has included supporting families to apply for universal credit and set up bank accounts, registering with GPs and local schools in addition to integrating into their local community. Since the summer of 2021, we have taken on responsibility for the resettlement of Afghan families in both regions.
This role requires working within a fast-paced and dynamic environment to manage a caseload of participants' families, with a lot of travel across the county of Lincolnshire. Areas covered could including Sleaford, Bourne, Spalding, Skegness, Boston.
We are looking for a new team member who can provide support to refugee families across Lincolnshire. Due to the nature of the work, you would need to hold a full UK driving licence, have access to a car, and be willing to travel to visit families, as well as attend team meetings in Derby.

Job Purpose:
Welcome refugees and asylum seekers arriving in Derby, connecting them to the community and supporting their integration through activities, individual assessments, and tailored support plans.
Context of the role.
Upbeat Communities delivers several services to welcome refugees and support them to rebuild their lives. We are looking to recruit an Integration Worker who will offer support to Refugees and Asylum Seekers within our Thriving Places project. Your time will be spent at the Integration Hub in central Derby.
Thriving Places is a 3-year project, funded by the National Lottery, which will provide support to asylum seekers and refugees as they integrate into life in the UK. The project supports people on an individual basis, with the development of Individual Support Plans (ISPs), the provision of integration activities and opportunities for training, skills development and volunteering. The Refugee Integration Worker will work as part of a team and work directly with refugees and those seeking asylum to carry out needs assessments, develop ISPs and support people on their integration journeys.

Trauma Foundation South West (TFSW) is seeking a half-time Director of Operations at an exciting period of growth for our small, but well-established and loved charity.

JOB PURPOSE
We are seeking a dynamic, creative and experienced corporate partnerships new business expert to join our team.
This pivotal new role will be responsible for securing high-value, seven-figure (financial and non-financial) partnerships with corporate entities that protect and empower refugees globally.

Role Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver a new comprehensive business development strategy that will lead to seven-figure, sustainable corporate partnerships, delivering both unrestricted and restricted income.
- Coordinate market research to identify potential high value, strategic corporate partners that can deliver income, visibility and shared value for UK for UNHCR and UNHCR.

You’ll need excellent knowledge of the challenges facing refugees in the UK, particularly around access to higher education, as well as experience working in or with the higher education sector. You’ll also bring excellent communication and relationship-building skills, ideally a proven track record in policy or campaign work. Highly organised and motivated, you’ll be comfortable working independently and collaborating flexibly within a small, dynamic team.

Overall Purpose
- To provide support and care to young people who are newly arrived in the country, providing the foundations for them to rebuild their strength, dignity and grow their hope for their futures.

The successful applicant will have the ability to ensure the support we give to the young people is of the highest quality and goes beyond the statutory standards set. They will be very approachable, reliable and a strong team worker. Someone who is supportive, approachable, responsible, reliable, personable and willing to be flexible. They will be a great people person who can develop key external relationships. They will also be a very organised and proactive individual. The successful applicant will need access to transport as the role requires visiting the young people in their homes and attending different appointments/meetings across the midlands. The successful applicant will subscribe to and work in line with Baca’s vision and values.
The role will require the successful candidate to complete an enhanced DBS check.

This exciting role will support on the delivery of income from a range of high-value donors within our philanthropy and corporate income streams. This position is key for both Helen Bamber Foundation and Asylum Aid and the postholder will work closely with the senior leadership of both charities, enabling the Head of Fundraising and Communications and the Executive Director of Fundraising and Communications to build successful funding partnerships.
We’re looking for someone who is an effective communicator with a flair for writing, who is results-focused and organised. The Fundraising and Digital Directorate is responsible for all digital communications as well as securing income to support Refugee Council’s charitable objectives. We are looking for Charity Support Officer to support AWN with delivery, understanding of the grassroots charity sector and management of our current services and to build upon our existing database. Hours: Full-time (35 hours a week)
Salary: Starting salary £26k
About the role
The Charity Support Worker (CSO) will be the face of AWN and the first point of contact for grassroots organisations looking for support and guidance. Expanding AWN’s existing reach and building the awareness of AWN’s services as we try to support as many not for profits working with Muslim communities in the UK as possible.
We desire someone with:

Knowledge and understanding of the challenges facing Muslim community living in the UK.

Knowledge of not-for-profits/charities

Knowledge of Grantmaking sector /Funding opportunities

Experience of working in small, dynamic teams

Experience supporting grassroots charities and understanding the contexts in which they operate.

Key Responsibilities but not limited to:

Reaching out and building relationships with organisations who meet our criteria (charities, grantmakers, other organisations, local Council across the UK
-
Carry out an initial needs assessment to identify NFPs organisational strengths and weaknesses and funding needs.

Develop and oversee an action plan based on needs assessment.

Lead networking sessions and assist in organising AWN events
-
Promoting AWN’s services and activities
-
Maintain CRM records, write case studies, obtain feedback and contribute to service development.

Managing projects to help grow the network
-
To assist and liaise with Bid Writer and additional staff members joining the team where there may be some crossover tasks
-
Attend networking events to promote AWN’s work and services.

Other tasks which are relevant to the role as AWN grows
Skills set/Person spec:
-
Experience working for an infrastructure org or similar
-
Ability to manage workload well
-
Ability to communicate well to stakeholders from diverse backgrounds and cultures
-
Ability to take initiative and work independently
-
Experience in governance, understanding of writing bid applications, and any other applicable charity service
-
Experience and ability to speak in large groups
-
Excellent written and verbal skills and able to communicate with people whose English is a second language
