About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Children & Young People area at IRMO as an ESOL Teacher working with Spanish and Portuguese-speaking children and young people who have recently arrived in the country, speak little English and whose families are often still navigating the school admissions processes to enable them to access compulsory education in the UK.
The Children ESOL Teacher will lead on the planning and delivery of weekly creative ESOL classes for three age groups: 5-8, 8-12 and 13-19 year olds. They will work closely with volunteers, monitoring children’s progress and completing pre/post-course evaluations. They will also actively contribute to the improvement of the IRMO ESOL scheme of work. They will frequently liaise with the wider Children & Young People team to share information and expertise on the children’s needs as well as relevant services and opportunities. Additionally, the ESOL Teacher is expected to plan and lead on the delivery of termly family trips and cultural events (usually on a Saturday).
The overall aim of IRMO ESOL provision is to equip children with the English Language skills they need to: thrive and perform well at school and beyond; build their social, emotional and communication skills; reach their full potential; make new friends and reduce isolation. Ability to speak intermediate Spanish is essential for the role and knowledge of Portuguese or willingness to learn is a bonus.
The post-holder will have had ESOL experience working with children and young people (including online teaching) and will be familiar with the issues faced by migrant, asylum seeking and refugee children in the UK. Availability after school hours is essential.
This role follows a term-time schedule, and annual leave can only be taken during school holidays.
Key responsibilities
Project Delivery

Jacari's vision is a society where children and young people from all backgrounds are able to fulfil their potential. Overview:
Jacari is at a key stage of its growth and is looking for a fundraiser who can help us find new sources of income and funding opportunities, reducing our reliance on trust and foundation grants. We particularly want someone who can help us to identify new major donor prospects and grow our income from regular and individual giving. We have a strong supporter-base of former volunteers and members, who were involved as far back as the 1950s.

About the role
This post will work as part of a community partnership programme, a small team providing accessible and bespoke perinatal care including, antenatal education, postnatal sessions, peer support, counselling and practical support to women from low-income migrant marginalised backgrounds. The role will provide non-judgmental, compassionate and trauma-informed care to women accessing the service and provide an initial assessment of needs and regular reviews. This role will coordinate inclusive and sensitive evaluation and data collection methods to evidence service impact and work collaboratively with stakeholders and researchers to enable women to participate in opportunities to share their maternity experience.

About the role
This role is part of a project funded by the Justice Together Initiative working in conjunction with a number of partners across London including Young Roots, Centrepoint, CARAS, Enfield Social Services, SRLA and Citizens UK. The purpose of the role is to help children, young people and families understand their position and legal rights in relation to immigration and support them to take steps to realise their rights. The role involves the provision of one-off asylum, immigration and nationality law advice and follow-up work and the wider provision of legal education sessions and documentation to increase understanding and knowledge. This role is part of an immigration legal advice team, which seeks to get high-quality immigration legal advice into communities and to those who would otherwise be unable to access it.
The purpose of the role is to empower those in need of immigration, asylum and nationality law, and to work with them – as well as a range of partners – to win change to promote the rights of children and young people affected by UK immigration control. The role involves creating positive relationships with young people and involvement in promoting youth-led change.
The role is responsible for project co-ordination and delivery across immigration advice projects, including advice service design, partnership-building, project planning and meetings, system creation and maintenance, record-keeping, monitoring, internal and funder reporting and other project activities. The role supports CCLC in achieving advice service consistency, meeting targets and ensuring compliance with regulatory obligations.

We are now recruiting for an Immigration Trainee Adviser to be based at IRMO. This is a paid, 12-month opportunity designed for those looking to qualify as an immigration adviser within a community setting.
As a trainee, you will:

Job Description
As a Trainee Immigration Adviser, you will support IRMO’s IAA-regulated Immigration Adviser in providing advice and casework for our service users.
With guidance from our team and additional expertise from Southwark Law Centre, you will follow a structured 12-month training programme designed to help you gain IAA Level 1 accreditation. You will work on a diverse range of immigration cases, gaining valuable hands-on experience to prepare for the exam.
Throughout the programme, you will apply your training by supporting casework, delivering workshops under supervision and providing information to the community on key immigration topics.
This role will help you develop professional skills, build confidence in an advice setting, and gain the knowledge, experience and training needed to become an accredited immigration adviser.

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
We have worked in partnership with the Young Roots charity for the last five years providing a service to young, unaccompanied asylum seekers aged between 16 and 25 and we are looking for a Senior Clinical Psychologist to manage and support this work.
As a Senior Clinical Psychologist within the Young Roots psychology service, you will report to a Senior Clinical Psychologist at HBF/Head of Therapies and manage the clinical services of the Young Roots Partnership.
This role will include management of the overall partnership project, delivery of highly specialised psychological assessments for both medico-legal and clinical purposes, provision of appropriate evidence-based therapies, delivery of clinical supervision to qualified clinicians, assistant and trainee clinical psychologists on final year specialist placements, and non-clinical members of staff. The role will also include input into policy, research and fundraising and delivery of consultancy and training.
We are looking for someone who is committed to working therapeutically with young people who experienced human rights abuses and post-migration stressors and present with trauma spectrum disorders, depression, and anxiety as a result. In addition to proven experience in working therapeutically with this client group, the candidate will have a passion for human rights work beyond the individual client work, and a desire to contribute to effecting change at a policy level. This role requires the ability to react and respond creatively and appropriately to the needs of the charity.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the supervision of senior clinicians at the Helen Bamber Foundation, work independently to ensure the delivery of a range of evidence based psychological therapies to clients.
· Provide specialist psychological assessments and deliver trauma-focused psychological therapies to clients of the Helen Bamber Foundation.
· Train in the preparation of medico-legal reports and where relevant, contribute to the preparation of these reports for clients.
· Develop and carry out audits and research projects.
· Provide internal and external training in collaboration with your line manager.
· Supervise junior staff. This may include newly qualified psychologists, trainee clinical psychologists, assistant psychologists, and research assistants.
· Provide supervisory support for non-clinical staff where needed.
· Liaise with other non-statutory and statutory organisations on matters of clinical care, safeguarding and policy.
