Communications

Develop and implement a communications strategy to engage more people in our work and make our collective ‘voice’ louder through increased awareness of both the issues and how people can support.

Create, edit and proofread materials including website content, newsletter, blogs, reports, social media and multi-media content etc.

Support the wider Big Leaf Foundation (BLF) team to create impactful content that is consistently on brand, representative of BLF’s voice and in line with the overall communications strategy, providing team training and editorial oversight.

Contribute to BLF fundraising activities through the writing of case studies/content as needed and/or supporting community fundraising events;

Lead on our Refugee Week plans each June - working with young people to co-create a series of events and activities that provide the opportunity for our young people, team, volunteers, supporters and wider network to come together and build connections while also maximising comms potential around RW;

Campaigns & advocacy

Cultivate relationships with organisations that campaign to improve the rights of displaced people; and/or ensure existing legal rights are upheld, exploring how Big Leaf Foundation (BLF) can best support and add value to these campaigns.

About the Role
As a Programme Officer at Unfold, you’ll ensure that our volunteer mentors feel supported and prepared for their work with young people. Alongside helping to recruit and onboard new mentors, including organising their training and reviewing their progress, you’ll be Volunteer Mentors main point of contact, making sure they have a rewarding and impactful experience. Your work will also include engaging with referrers, parents, and young people themselves, providing guidance and answering questions to ensure everyone feels connected to our mission.
You’ll also be hands-on with our youth programs, coordinating weekly Youth Support Groups and engaging with young people in outreach activities. You’ll work closely with our Programme Manager to build relationships with community organisations and support our Youth Advisory Council. Whether you’re planning group activities, creating outreach opportunities, or helping young people access resources, this role aims to empower youth across London.

You’re passionate about youth development and have a strong understanding of London’s diverse communities, particularly in Westminster and nearby areas. The Purpose of the Role
The Mass Market team’s mission is to inspire the UK public to financially support the IRC in order to help people impacted by conflict and disaster. Having significantly grown the individual giving programme in recent years, we are now looking for an experienced Supporter Care Manager to take our Supporter Services programme to the next level.
The main focus of this new role is to develop and professionalise our Supporter Services programme, ensuring our supporters have a first-class experience, and that they develop a positive and lasting relationship with the IRC. Working in partnership with the fundraising, gift processing and CRM teams, and overseeing our external call centre, the post-holder will shape the strategy in line with the projected growth of the fundraising programme. 1. Strategy and planning (30%)
· Work with the Director, Mass Markets UK to create and implement a donor-centric Supporter Care strategy and priorities as part of the wider Mass Markets strategy
· Manage 3rd party inbound call centre relationship and contracts, including leading on procurement of new services, ensuring all work carried out is to a high standard and represents value for money
· Lead annual, quarterly and monthly planning process, defining key deliverables and initiatives that advance the Supporter Care programme, ensuring all activities support the aims of the departmental strategy

2. Programme delivery (50%)
· Provide first-class service to our supporters across telephone, email and post, and across comments on our social media advertising and inboxes – ensuring you represent IRC appropriately, by responding to all supporter enquiries, actions and complaints in a professional manner and within agreed SLAs
· Manage the third party inbound call centre, ensuring they are briefed on upcoming campaigns and activity and monitoring their output
· Liaise across Acquisition, Retention and Legacy to ensure response handling and supporter enquiries are streamlined during campaign activity, including during emergency appeals with the Disasters Emergency Committee
· Manage supporters who are fundraising on our behalf (community and events) and provide encouragement, fundraising support and assistance across fundraising platforms

About the role
We are committed to ending the homelessness of more people using our direct services, including people with complex needs. To do this, we are seeking either full-time or part-time Practitioner Psychologists to join our fantastic team in locations around the UK.
In this role, you will be supporting our diverse operation in Brent that includes the Skylight Service, the commissioned Single Homeless Prevention Service and The Single Homeless Refugee Service. You will also get involved in our outward facing place-based work that aim to shape better system responses to homelessness, working with colleagues from the Local Authority and NHS and the local community and voluntary service.
You will form part of the local Leadership team, supporting the implementation of Psychologically Informed Environments (PIEs). You will support the delivery of our work to members by offering training and leading reflective practice for staff and providing direct services to members at times.
You will also be a part of a national psychology team made up of a Lead Clinical Psychologist, two Regional Lead Clinical Psychologists, and seven Practitioner Psychologists as well as one Assistant Psychologist and Trainee Clinical Psychologists on placements.

About the Role
We are now recruiting for a dedicated Through-the-Gate Project Worker to join our Criminal Justice and Detention Services team. This role will provide specialist support to migrant women being released from prison or detention into the London area and beyond.
The Through-the-Gate Project Worker will act as the main point of contact for referrals for women being released from prison or immigration removal centres. The role will involve managing a caseload of up to 15 migrant women who are in contact with the criminal justice system and / or under immigration restrictions, helping them to prepare for release and supporting them to resettle in the community afterwards.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining effective working relationships with statutory, partner and other voluntary organisations to maximise provision of support for women being released from prison/detention. The post-holder will also work as part of Hibiscus’ Safe Homes for Migrant Women project team, to improve provision of safe and secure housing for Black and minoritised migrant women.

About You

About the role
This role is focused on advancing seasonal agricultural and social care workers’ rights by supporting WSC’s policy and advocacy work. In this role you will support WSC meet two of its four core objectives to work together with workers to claim spaces for power and representation in decision making; and to build the field of knowledge about workers and their experiences to influence policy. As well as work delivered directly by WSC, our policy work includes coordinating with coalitions such as the Ethical Trading Initiative, the Seasonal Worker Interest Group and the Scottish Food Coalition.

Policy and advocacy
· Lead in the development of components of policy, ensuring engagement of workers and cross-organisational engagement.

Person Specification
1) KNOWLEDGE AND TECHNICAL SKILLS

Job Overview

Work experience:
Demonstrated experience in advocacy strategy development with a focus on creativity, strategy and critical thinking. Experience working on complex humanitarian, and/or development issues.
Demonstrated skills and competencies:
· Demonstrated success in creating and implementing strategies that influence/impact on legislative and executive policy.
· Strong understanding of relevant the UK’s political structures and processes, and familiar with leverage points within these institutions that can be targeted to achieve policy change objectives.
· Knowledge of development and humanitarian issues.
· Successful implementation of integrated influencing strategies that work alongside comms to achieve advocacy objectives.
· Ability to think strategically and creatively, being oriented around solutions when traditional advocacy means do not suffice
· Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate successfully with experts, decision-makers, and colleagues in the humanitarian and development fields.
· Excellent writing skills and the ability to translate complex material and data into coherent narratives that resonate with policymakers.
· Ability to work within demanding timelines. Initiative and capability to work independently on fast-paced issues while balancing demands.

As Talitha Arts’ Therapeutic Arts Programme Manager, you will be responsible for managing Talitha Arts’ programmes, partnerships and practitioners, working with a wide range of stakeholders. You will come from an arts, management or therapeutic arts background (in any field) and have experience developing programming, managing people/volunteers, and growing partnerships.You will be committed to growth and development and passionate about the power of the creative arts to bring healing, restoration and transformation. You will have experience and a heart for working with vulnerable people, devising and developing creative arts workshops and training sessions, and will be willing to work flexibly with therapeutic intent but outside a clinical framework.
This position is home-based with regular travel within London for workshop, training and meetings (travel costs will be reimbursed). Working hours are flexible throughout the week and can be either part time or full time depending on the candidate (maximum of 30hrs per week).Talitha Arts also provides learning and development opportunities, travel for work within London and 3 extra days at Christmas.
Who are We?
Talitha Arts is creative arts charity that delivers creative arts workshops that benefit the mental health and wellbeing of those who have experienced trauma (through trafficking, living with dementia, domestic and sexual abuse, homelessness) and/or are living with mental health problems, addiction or disability. We are a small team comprising our Artistic Director (Executive), Fundraiser and Therapeutic Consultant. You will be managing 15 self-employed practitioners who work on a freelance basis.

Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Managing and developing all aspect of Talitha Art’s therapeutic arts workshop programming

Overseeing all programming, coordinating teams and managing Practitioner Coordinators

Overseeing the planning and evaluation process of all programmes, including liaising with partners, monitoring and reporting

Advising on creative and therapeutic processes

Helping to create and develop new programme strategies in collaboration with the Artistic Director to ensure best practice

Working closely with Talitha staff and practitioners to ensure programmes are well-managed and run to budget
-
Overseeing and managing the content of sessions and monitoring therapeutic intent
-
Working alongside Therapeutic Consultant to ensure that programmes are trauma-informed and therapeutic in intent

Act as Deputy Safeguarding Adult and Child Lead for Talitha Arts

Maintaining all databases and updates (in google workspace)

Committed to ongoing learning and development, including exploring expressive arts therapies and researching beneficiary groups

Delivering workshops alongside a team of practitioners as and when is necessary
2. Managing Talitha Art’s partnerships with organisations, care homes and community settings to develop ongoing collaborative programmes

Building on existing partner relationships; and seeking and developing new partner relationships

Partnering with various organisations to schedule and manage Talitha’s programmes

Developing project proposals and pitch to new potential partners

Collaborating with partners on project management of programmes including planning scheduling, coordinating publicity, and follow up with partners (liaising with AD)
3. Managing Talitha Arts Practitioners

Developing, devising and delivering Talitha Art’s ongoing practitioner training and development and induction training for new practitioners (alongside AD)

Helping to devise an effective approach to ensure practitioner retention and best practice (alongside AD)

Coordinating programmes to fit availability of practitioners in accordance with their suitability for the client groups

Working alongside AD to recruit practitioners (including DBS and references checks), liaise with them during the process, and assess suitability and progress of trainees

Delegating tasks to Programme Coordinators and working closely with them to have oversight of programmes they are responsible for

Organising and planning regular check ins and ongoing learning and development sessions and opportunities (alongside AD)
