We are seeking to recruit two Development Workers for Salford’s flagship Wellbeing Matters programme.
The Wellbeing Matters programme is a Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) led initiative delivered by Salford CVS in partnership with five VCSE anchor organisations. The Programme focuses on Person and Community Centred Approaches to improving the wellbeing of Salford people that are commissioned by NHS Greater Manchester, Salford’s five Primary Care Networks, and Salford Integrated Commissioning.
Wellbeing Matters Programme has two core elements, firstly community connecting / social prescribing. This connects people referred through health professionals with a non-medical need to local community assets to support an individual’s wellbeing, independence, and reduce social isolation. The programme aims to support people feel more connected to their communities, providing confidence, and social interaction connections, linking individuals to local activities and services. The main aim is to support individuals become prepared on how to manage their own health and wellbeing.
The second core element of the Wellbeing Matters programme supports the development and maintenance of the VCSE ecosystem that supports social prescribing through volunteering, voluntary action, community activities, investment and assuring quality of groups and activities. This element of Wellbeing Matters includes a team of Development Workers whose role is to develop the capacity of local VCSE groups and activities that ensures a healthy voluntary, community and social enterprise eco-system to socially prescribe into.

A key focus of the role will be to ensure data accuracy across a variety of platforms, drafting and coordinating centralised communications with Operators, and support reporting on the activities of the Operations team. The successful candidate will not only have strong administrative skills and experience but will also have strong experience within communications and/or research.

The Job
The welfare of our dogs is very important to us. We have a no-kennel policy, and all our dogs live in the homes of volunteer puppy Socialisers until they are about 18 months old. We are committed to providing quality training and support for all our dogs and the volunteers who look after them.
This role requires someone with the skills, experience, and passion to take responsibility for organising and monitoring the Assistance dog training team. The successful candidate will ensure that the team of Assistance Dog Trainers develop our puppies and young dogs to ensure they receive the highest standard of socialisation and training, thereby maximising their chances of becoming a Medical Alert Assistance Dog. They will also play a role in the training and development of less experienced members of the team.
Reports to: Head of Canine Supply, Training and Welfare
Specific Responsibilities
- To oversee the day-to-day activities of the Assistance Dog Trainers, carrying out 121’s, annual reviews, etc.
- To oversee the preparation of and to deliver in accordance with the dog pick-up schedule for the MAAD programme
- To support puppies or young dogs when required
- To carry out the 6-month, 12-month, and final assessments of dogs
- Assist with the training and development of Trainee Assistance Dog Trainers and less experienced Trainers which may include acting as a mentor
- To liaise with the Health and Welfare Coordinator on any health issues regarding puppies and dogs within the Assistance Dog Training Scheme
- Support the Assistance Dog Trainers with potential matches for a particular client or clients and dog, and to report this progress regularly in Dog and Client matching meetings
- Highlight to the Head of Canine Supply, Training and Welfare in a timely manner, if you feel a dog is not reaching the appropriate standard or may be more suitable for another role. Detailed evidenced reasons why, must be supplied
- If and when required, to stay away from home, supporting Assistance Dog Trainers with their puppies and volunteers who are based in our regional areas

- To support the Head of Canine Supply, Training and Welfare with the annual Trustee reports
- Update the Harlequin CRM database in a timely fashion to ensure accurate and up to date training, veterinary and health records

- From time to time, you may be required to have a dog live with you for additional training for a set period

· Health and safety implications of dog and socialiser handling. Some experience of assisting with the training and development of less experienced colleagues

This is one of two new part-time roles at Carers Trust that are essential to giving our supporters a personal and highly professional level of donor care. This role focusses on great thanking and donor stewardship whilst supporting the “twin” role, Supporter Care Coordinator (Data), which focusses more on financial processes and data entry.

Why St Stephen’s?

Main Purpose of the Role
The Creative Communications Lead is a key role within the Creative Team. Working in collaboration with the Operations Team, the role holder has responsibility for the strategic oversight of internal and external communications and the practical ability to continue to develop the excellent design, social media and film content that enables and enhances St Stephen’s ministry. We are looking for someone with a passion for creative comms, practical skills to enable the delivery and strategic oversight to bring it all into being.
Key objectives
· To hold the ‘voice’ of St Stephens
· To ensure the ‘look’ of St Stephens reflects the ‘voice’ with clarity and consistency
· To strategically plan and implement the churches comms – to enable external and internal engagement

Responsibilities
· Design and production of all video / visual media for Sundays, ad hoc events, social channels and St Stephen’s website
· Oversight and continued development of St Stephen’s social media channels
· Oversight and production of the church–wide monthly / weekly email
· Working closely with the Creative / Worship Team to enable the production of worship nights and other creative projects etc.
· To develop and manage the website including on-going updates

The details
· £32-34K depending on experience

What would we like…?
We're looking for someone with a background in graphic design and a keen eye for detail to join our Learning Design team as Graphic Designer for a 12-month FTC, to cover a period of maternity leave within the team.
You'll be responsible for for creating visuals and infographics for use across a range of different formats, including both digital and print. You'll use your understanding of graphic design principles and your technical design skills to help participants on our programmes both navigate our materials and make sense of complex information.
We would like you to:
- Create graphics for use in our learning materials, both print and digital
- Refine and, in some instances, establish visual style guides for each resource to ensure that all materials are aligned with our Ambition Institute’s brand style, accessible to all and replicable at scale.
- Use your knowledge of core graphic design principles to inform your work and support colleagues in learning design to use graphics effectively (relating to principles such as: typography, layout. colour and illustration)
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Learning Design team and across the organisation to translate ideas, information and concepts into strong visuals.
- Writing briefs for external graphic designers, which accurately describe the work, provide clear style guidance and specifications and set clear timelines for completion of the work.
Working in a hybrid way, you’ll be attached to either our Birmingham, London or Manchester office and will report to Associate Director, Production. In line with our current ways of working, you’ll be expected to be in the office at least 1 day a month, in addition to team day (which rotate across our regional offices) and this may be reviewed by Ambition.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
To succeed in this role you'll have a minimum of level 3 qualification in Graphic Design, e.g. degree, diploma or apprenticeship. You'll demonstrate an ability to work in a flexible manner and have experience of working in both digital and media print.
It is essential that you are able to work efficiently in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe In Design. You'll also demonstrate an ability to work with content designers to help them turn their knowledge of information or a concept into a visual image.
Whilst an ability to create clear and accurate briefs for external Graphic Designers and knowledge of accessibility standards are desirable, it is not essential that you have prior experience to apply for this role. We will provide training and development where there are gaps.

Since 1987, Waverley Abbey College has equipped Christians for their vocations with skills in spiritual formation, mental health and wellbeing, and leadership. We are now one of the largest providers of Christian Counselling qualifications in Europe and are fast becoming the leading provider of Chaplaincy training in the UK – all while maintaining both academic rigour and an outstanding level of student satisfaction.
We are looking for an experienced registrar to help manage the registry office and to ensure the team continues to provide excellent service to the college and its stakeholders, as well as effective liaison with and information provision to partner institutions and statutory bodies.
Key Tasks
- Support the Academic Registrar in managing the student journey through their programme of study, including requests for extensions, interruption, withdrawal and other changes including student progression. Responding to all queries by phone, email and face to face
- Liaise closely with the Student Finance, Academic Administration, Student
- Services teams and other functional areas within Waverley Abbey Trust including academic staff, Resources and HR
- Set up and take minutes of all Academic meetings
University and College Regulations
- Maintain an understanding of the validating university’s and Waverley Abbey College’s policies and regulations and check college and student compliance
- Contribute to university audits and programme validation/revalidation as required
Assessments and Progression Boards
- Assist the Academic Registrar in administering Moodle and maintain accuracy of the marking system and data, including release of grades to students and capture of results into student management system
- Prepare assessment information and associated documents for the External Examiners and assist with producing grade sheets for Assessment and Progression Boards
- Notify students of Assessment Board results and prepare award documents
- Liaise with college staff during graduation periods to ensure all eligible students are included
General
- Onboard students, including registering students with the university
- Ensure that all reports and data produced by the department are accurate and produced in a timely manner
- Attend Waverley Abbey College meetings including Assessment Events such as Open Days and Evenings (maybe weekends) Discovery Days and Graduations
- Closely co-ordinate with student finance staff as needed
- Attend the Mitigation Panel and record outcomes, for relay to students
- Liaise with the Learning Support officer, programme leaders and tutors as required
- To undertake personal continuous professional development activities e.g. membership of relevant professional bodies, conferences, education and training

To be successful in this role, you will have a good working knowledge of the Higher Education sector.
