The role: Royal Navy Sports and Community Infrastructure Project Officer - full time/35 hours per week
As a key member of the Greenwich Hospital and Andrew Simpson Foundation teams, you will be responsible for developing the RN “Building Sports and Well-being for the Future” vision into a costed, designed and persuasive community hubs plan, followed by its implementation as an effectively managed transformational project delivering high-quality sports and community hubs.
Based within the Andrew Simpson Foundation, the role will drive strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and scalable delivery aligned with RN priorities.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a disciplined and visionary self-starter to turn a vision into reality. The primary purpose of this role is to develop and deliver innovative direct marketing campaigns that drive donor engagement across our regular giving and cash programmes. As an Individual Giving Officer, you will play a crucial role in shaping our fundraising program. Main duties and responsibilities:

Role & Responsibilities
As our Visitor Operations Manager, you’ll be responsible for the overall visitor experience and operational management of Walthamstow Wetlands, as a nature reserve and visitor attraction. Leading on buildings and facilities management, ensuring H&S compliance, overseeing external contractors, and supporting with a range of site activities to ensure an excellent visitor experience for all.
You’ll work closely with the multi-disciplinary teams based on site at Walthamstow; Café, Events, Retail, Learning & Engagement and Nature Recovery. - Lead the delivery of the management contract with Waltham Forest Council, including regular reporting on KPIs and progress.

Purpose of the post
The Warehouse Supervisor plays an essential role in the smooth running of the Vale Lane warehouse, supporting all aspects of the food operation.
You will work as part of a team to effectively support the warehouse operation, incoming goods, storage and dispatch of goods to Community Food Members (CFMs) to high levels of compliance and service. This role will include working with a large and diverse team of volunteers throughout the week.
The role will be primarily based at our South Bristol warehouse, where alongside our usual food redistribution operation and volunteering programme, we run our youth employability programme FareChance for 18 to 25-year-olds to develop logistics and workplace experience.
Duties and responsibilities:
Warehouse

Ensure the smooth running of food intake, storage, and food distribution, liaising with food industry representatives, FSUK, distribution companies and hauliers.

Support the South Bristol Hub Manager in coordinating and maintaining the fleet of vans and machinery.

Provide ongoing support to the South Bristol Hub Manager to ensure high levels of compliance in the warehouse throughout the year and for internal/external audits.

As part of the warehouse team, reduce waste and maximise the distribution of surplus food to members.

Volunteers and FareChance

About CoppaFeel!
CoppaFeel! are the UK’s only youth focused breast cancer awareness charity, and we’re on a mission to get every 18-24 year old checking their chest. We educate people on the signs of breast cancer and encourage them to check their chests monthly, so that if they notice something unusual they are empowered to contact their GP and advocate for themselves.
We do this because when diagnosed early, breast cancer treatments are more effective and survival rates are higher. Early detection can save lives.
Breast cancer does not need to be detected late, and as long as we are here and continue to be supported by people like you, we will do all we can to make sure this doesn’t continue to happen.
The Role
CoppaFeel! is looking for a Senior Policy and Public Affairs Manager to lead the organisation’s influencing activity, including the development and delivery of an overarching influencing strategy. This is an exciting time to join the team as we refresh and relaunch our policy and public affairs focus. This new role will shape our approach and have autonomy to lead this function for the organisation.
The Senior Policy and Public Affairs Manager will play a pivotal role in positioning CoppaFeel! as a key voice in influencing policies to improve breast cancer education, awareness, diagnosis, and treatment for young people. We are looking for a self-starter who is able to analyse our current position and set our future direction. We are looking for a proactive networker, who is confident in navigating the world of public affairs and the charity sector.
The post holder will ensure that CoppaFeel!'s policy and public affairs activities are data- and insight-driven, centring the voices and experiences of young people, those who have had a breast cancer diagnosis, and healthcare professionals. A key focus of this work will be to highlight the health inequities and unique challenges faced by young people—particularly those from underserved groups—and ensure these are reflected in policy development.
The Senior Policy and Public Affairs Manager will be based within the Education team but will lead and collaborate across the organisation to achieve our influencing objectives.
This is a hybrid role, with the expectation that you will attend the London office 2 days per week. You will be required to attend the office for quarterly team meetings, department meetings and in person training, we will provide plenty of notice for when you are required to be in for these purposes.
This role is full-time, but part-time will be considered if requested.
Duties & Responsibilities
Policy
- Lead on the development, implementation and evaluation of CoppaFeel!’s influencing strategy aligning it with our EDI commitments
- Research, develop and update evidence-based policy positions on key breast cancer issues which impact people between 18-35, and seek to influence policy development on these positions.
- Produce high quality, evidence- based policy outputs, including briefings, responses to consultations and policy publications
- Liaise with key influencers, including civil servants, policymakers, other charities and healthcare professionals, in order to influence policy
- Ensure key internal and external stakeholders are updated on policy developments and provide support for senior staff as required
- Support policy input into media responses and act as a media spokesperson on policy related issues
- Represent CoppaFeel! on relevant working groups
- Draft articles and updates about key policy activities for CoppaFeel!’s audiences
Public Affairs
- Develop and deliver impactful public affairs elements of CoppaFeel’s influencing strategy working with the Head of Policy and Engagement
- Research and identify opportunities to engage Parliamentarians in health and education related issues and develop and maintain relationships with key politicians
- Organise and lead CoppaFeel!’s public affairs events, including parliamentary receptions and roundtables and party conference activities
- Lead on the monitoring of legislation and parliamentary activity relevant to CoppaFeel!
- Suggest PQs and prepare briefings for Parliamentarians
- Represent CoppaFeel! at parliamentary events and relevant public affairs working groups
Campaigns
- Lead on the development of campaigning activities that relate to the influencing strategy and resulting policy and public affairs work
- Utilise campaign tools to deliver influencing objectives
- Work closely with relevant departments and key stakeholders, such as young people and/or the breast cancer community to deliver co-created campaigns that meet goals successfully
- Future Line Management: as the organisation evolves, opportunity to add resource and take on line management responsibilities, overseeing team members and fostering their professional growth

JOB OVERVIEW AND OBJECTIVES
This newly created role will play a vital role in advancing 999 Club’s ambitious plans to enhance its status, reputation, and support among both existing and wider audiences. At this pivotal moment in the charity’s history, the postholder will work closely with the Head of Fundraising and Communications and the Members’ Committee to co-develop and implement a bold new communications and marketing strategy.

Working on behalf of a fantastic charity committed to funding, supporting, researching and innovating on behalf of disabled people, so they can make the journeys they choose, I am thrilled to be searching for their new Public Affairs Manager. In a time of moving political landscapes, your role will be critical in promoting and enhancing awareness of the Charity Foundation among key political stakeholders. I’d love to hear from an established Public Affairs Manager with a strong grasp of parliamentary processes in the UK and charity sector knowledge.
You will join at an exciting time as the team have just hired a new Public Affairs agency, you will manage this relationship and help embed them. You will brief the CEO for key meetings, get to know stakeholders, and work closely with their partner operations team. You will have experience of operating effectively in a complex environment with multiple agendas and stakeholders, utilising your strong communication skills, with an ability to grasp complex issues quickly and share information in an accessible way across a variety of audiences. Public Affairs is also a hot topic within the organisation so the opportunity to make a difference is very tangible!
With a new mission-led government elected on a platform of change and with potential welfare reform on the horizon, this role is especially important at this time, therefore experience in crafting and implementing post-election public affairs strategies is highly desirable.
- Blended working week- 2 days in the office, 3 days from home.
- Based 30 mins from Liverpool street, or 20 minutes from Tottenham Hale, in Harlow, Essex.
