Key Responsibilities
1. Program Management:

Person Specification - Qualifications and Skills
-JNC Professionally qualified Youth Worker with Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field (e.g., social work, youth development, education) or equivalent practical experience.
-Proven experience working with young people in a youth club, community centre or similar setting.
-Strong understanding of youth development principles and best practices.
-Excellent communication, interpersonal and mentoring skills.
-Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities.

An Outreach Caseworker is required to work on an initial 3 month contract for one of the largest charities in the UK. This is a hybrid role with 2-3 days working from home per week. Job Purpose: To work, under supervision, delivering evidence-based interventions for children and young people experiencing mild-moderate anxiety, low mood and behavioural difficulties. This Trainee Children's Wellbeing Practitioner role includes completion of the Child Wellbeing Practice Postgraduate or Graduate level Diploma run by the University of Sussex, which follows the nationally agreed curriculum to qualify as a Children's Wellbeing Practitioner. This year the course will run from 7th Jan 2025, for 12 months, with 2 taught days at university per week, with some university holiday weeks built in, followed by time to consolidate skills and meet the final academic deadline for the course in January 2026. The teaching is a blend of in-person and online, with the majority of teaching in-person.
Participation in this course involves learning the theory, and then translating this into practice in your service and covers a wide range of materials over 8 taught modules. There are a variety of assessment modes to assess the required knowledge and competencies. This training equips the student to acquire relevant knowledge to be an effective community mental health professional, working with children, young people, and their parents/carers. It provides the trainee with the opportunity to gain competence in the core skills needed to assess and formulate mild to moderate mental health difficulties with children and young people (CYP), before being able to then learn the skills to work with them, using a specific cognitive-behaviourally informed therapeutic intervention to meet the identified mental health need.
The trainee will learn therapeutic interventions to use 1:1 with children and young people and in group settings; ways to work with parents and carers of CYP with anxiety and worry, or those with behaviours that challenge; how to engage CYP, parents/carers and staff working with CYP in psychoeducation workshops to promote mental wellbeing for CYP. Students will also learn the thresholds for guided self-help for CYP, direct low-intensity intervention work, and when to refer on to other services within the local area.
Hours of work:Full time - 35 hours per week
Working Pattern: 9:00am – 5:00pm, Monday – Friday (one hour per day for lunch which is unpaid
Contract Type: Fixed term training contract (dependent on completion of the course).

Main Responsibilities:
Therapeutic skills
· Assess and deliver (under supervision), outcome focused, evidence-based interventions to children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties.

Training and Supervision
· Attend and fulfil all the requirements of the training element of the post including practical, academic and practice-based assessments.
· As well as attendance at the University for training, fulfil private study requirements to enhance learning and prepare assignments for examination - recommendation is 150 hours of study for each of the 8 modules, which includes the teaching days. Some study time within working hours can be negotiated with the manager, whilst it is expected that that study will also need to be completed in own time.
· Apply learning from the training programme to practice.
· Receive tutorial support from educational providers in relation to course work to meet the required standards.
· Prepare and present case load information to supervisors within the service on an agreed and scheduled basis to ensure safe practice and the governance obligations of the trainee, supervisor and service are delivered.
· Respond to and implement supervision suggestions by supervisors in practice.
· Engage in and respond to personal development supervision to improve competences and practice.
Professional
· Ensure the maintenance of standards of practice according to the employer and any regulating bodies and keep up to date on new recommendations/guidelines set by the relevant departments.
· Ensure that confidentiality is always protected.
· Ensure clear objectives are identified, discussed and reviewed with supervisor and senior colleagues on a regular basis as part of continuing professional development.

As an Advice and Assessment Worker your main responsibilities will be to carry out Carer’s Assessments, giving advice, information and support to adult carers who are looking after a relative, partner, friend or neighbour of someone who needs help due to illness, disability, or old age.

What you'll do:

The Conscious Advertising Network is seeking to significantly grow its annual funding to a six figure (plus) annual budget. As a Fundraiser, you will play a crucial role in generating financial support for CAN’s mission and programs, helping break the link between advertising and harmful content online.
You will be responsible for developing and implementing fundraising strategies, cultivating relationships with donors and philanthropic organisations, and managing fundraising campaigns.
You will work with an existing Fundraising Consultant to develop and deliver a fundraising strategy which will ensure CAN’s financial sustainability over the next 3 years.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop Fundraising Strategies:
· Work closely with CAN Founders and the Fundraising Consultant to develop comprehensive fundraising strategies aligned with organisational goals and the 3 year organisational strategy.
· Identify and prioritise fundraising opportunities, including grants, individual donors, corporate partnerships, and events. Develop and oversee a stewardship strategy to retain and cultivate donors, and embed across CAN Founders, staff and champions.
· Work with CAN volunteers on developing CAN’s commercial model and associated funding streams.
· Significantly grow the Conscious Advertising Networks annual funding to a six figure (plus) annual budget
2. Donor & Funder Organisation Cultivation and Relationship Management:
· Cultivate and steward relationships with existing funder organisations ensuring ongoing engagement and support.
· Identify and engage prospective funders and donors through following funder open calls, targeted outreach and relationship-building activities.
3. Fundraising Campaigns and Communications:
· Work with the Fundraising Consultant and colleagues to plan and execute robust fundraising campaigns, including online and offline initiatives, to generate revenue and raise awareness of our organisation's mission.
· Collaborate across CAN teams to develop compelling fundraising materials and messaging.
· Act as a representative for CAN to engage key audiences as required.
4. Pipeline Development, Grant Writing and Reporting:
· Research and identify potential grant opportunities from foundations, trusts, and government sources.
· Write grant proposals and applications, ensuring alignment with both CAN and funder priorities and requirements.
· Prepare regular reports for funders, providing updates on project progress and outcomes. Project managing the CAN Founders and Staff Team to ensure proper project kick offs, data gathering and sign offs.
· Writing and project managing the creation of funding bids and reports. Supporting on relationship building with funders, with support from CAN Founders, the CAN Staff Team and Fundraising Consultant.
5. Internal Processes and Reporting:
· Prepare robust fundraising forecasts for the senior team and finance colleagues, based on analysis of funding landscape and pipeline development.
· Track funder information, keeping up to date and setting a hight standard for relationship management
· Establish and support excellent administration related to each funder relationship.
Qualifications:
· Previous experience in fundraising, preferably within the nonprofit sector and with a provide ability to secure major grants from large-scale funders.
· Excellent knowledge of fundraising principles and best practices
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire donors and stakeholders.
· Strong interest and grasp of CAN’s mission and values.
· Excellent writing skills, with experience in grant writing and proposal development.

We operate the National Gambling Helpline, provide treatment for anyone who is harmed by gambling, create awareness about safer gambling and treatment, and encourage an effective approach to safer gambling within the gambling industry.
The role
This is a great time to join GamCare as we are growing the reach of our services. We are looking for Gambling Support Practitioners with qualifications or experience in health or social care, and an empathic style to enable people to change their behaviour through skilled intervention.
Crucially, you will ensure that psychosocial, and recovery support interventions are delivered as part of a cohesive recovery plan while working collaboratively with external and partner organisations to achieve positive outcomes for service users.
There will be lots of opportunity to participate in service promotion, networking activities and events to support the visibility of the service, as well as developing relationships with local services and communities to strengthen pathways into the service.
We are looking for an individual to work full-time, which will include four days of 9 – 5pm and one day of 12 - 8pm per week (can be negotiated), Monday to Friday. Due to possible requirements of the service, there will potentially be the occasional Saturday to be worked 9 – 2pm remotely.
This is a home-based position with a requirement to travel across the East Midlands region. This would vary but could be 2-3 days a week.
About you
You should have significant experience in individual client work in the field of addictions, mental health or a social care setting with adults or young people. You should be flexible in using a range of low and high-intensity interventions and modalities, including cognitive behavioural tools (CBT).
The successful candidate will be expected to be able to work from home thereby having the space for a confidential setting whilst also being able to travel within the region to attend events and offer localised in person support as required.
