Since 2011 Disability Africa has developed a model using playschemes as hubs to deliver essential lifesaving services to extremely vulnerable disabled children and to end their exclusion in low-income African communities. Using this model, we have worked with project partners in Kenya, The Gambia, Sierra Leone and Zambia. 680 disabled children have now attended our projects more than 90,000 times since 2011. Now the charity is planning to grow and expand with our 5-year plan (‘DA2029’) to replicate the Disability Africa Model to reach more disabled children across Africa.
By 2029 we will:
• Start work with at least 4 new partners in Africa (as well as expected growth at our existing projects).
• Deliver 160,000 attendances by at least 1,500 disabled children in 7 African countries.
• Grow and reach as many disabled children as possible - we know we can’t do it all by ourselves - so we will engage other international NGOs to adopt our model of inclusion.

Reporting to the Head of Fundraising and Engagement, this key leadership role will be pivotal in developing and implementing strategies across events, community initiatives, challenge events, individual giving, and appeals. As Senior Mass Fundraising Lead, you will grow income, foster long-term supporter relationships, and secure vital unrestricted funds to support children and families affected by neuroblastoma.
The successful postholder will lead our mass fundraising efforts to ensure they are high-impact, supporter-focused, and aligned with the charity’s mission. Whether it’s delivering memorable fundraising events, growing challenge participation, or developing and strengthening individual giving programmes, your work will play a crucial role in achieving ambitious income targets to make a meaningful difference in the fight against childhood cancer.
Who are we looking for?

The Role
This is a great chance to join a busy policy team to cover family leave. The team helps the Law Society shape public policy to deliver our corporate strategy for our members and the public interest.
You will lead our policy development and projects on immigration and asylum issues, and support colleagues in the public law team on other issues such as human rights, mental health law, criminal law and family law.
Keeping up to date with policy and legal developments, you will spot and respond to opportunities for positive reforms. You will research and analyse the impact of changes on our members, access to justice and the rule of law, and provide reliable and well-informed advice and leadership. Often you will prepare written briefings and guidance for internal and external audiences, and occasionally you will give oral presentations.
You will liaise with key internal and external stakeholders including colleagues, members of the Law Society, government, parliament and civil society. Working with colleagues from the policy, media, public affairs and other teams, you will help to ensure that our policy positions have maximum influence and visibility, and report on their impact showing how they deliver our strategic goals.
This is an exciting and varied role where your expertise, knowledge and skills will be used to great effect to make a real difference for our members, the rule of law and access to justice.
What we're looking for
You will be an experienced policy professional with a proven track record of identifying opportunities for influence and making an impact. You will have either some expertise in immigration and/or asylum law or the ability to develop that quickly, alongside a good working knowledge of broad public law issues.
You will be skilled in researching and analysing complex issues and assessing their implications for the profession, the rule of law and access to justice. You will have excellent skills in drafting concise, clear and accurate policy papers, briefings and guidance for a range of audiences, and be comfortable giving persuasive oral presentations.
You will also be experienced in building and maintaining effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels and be able to work both pro-actively and reactively, often with minimal supervision and to tight deadlines.

Surgery and anaesthesia have a fundamental and growing impact on global health outcomes. Surgical intervention could address at least 30% of the global burden of disease, and yet the poorest 33% of people receive just 3.5% of all surgery. Post-operative mortality rates 1,000 times higher than in some high-income countries can be found in parts of the world where surgery and anaesthesia have been neglected, and in some countries as many as 90% of anaesthetic departments do not have the equipment to provide a safe anaesthetic for a child.

Purpose of Role
In your role of Communications Officer, you will contribute to the delivery of WFSA’s objectives by helping to implement advocacy and communications strategies.
You will report to the Head of Advocacy & Communications and liaise regularly with the rest of the small staff team in the Secretariat. The Secretariat works with and supports a much larger team of expert volunteers around the world. Relationships with Member Societies and our Board and Council will also be important, and an ability to interact across a range of stakeholders is essential.

Our client is dedicated to transforming the lives of children and young people by creating opportunities to learn, grow, and develop through Education. As an independent funder, the charity generates income from its endowment, which includes substantial property holdings and financial investments. This means it does not fund raise. To date, the organisation has awarded over £225 million in grants to a range of organisations that seek to promote the life chances of children and young people through Education, with around £15 million in grants distributed each year. The role:
This newly created position will expand the capacity of the organisation's communications team, supporting the Communications, PR & Events Manager in delivering engaging, high-impact external communications. The focus will be on managing the Charity’s digital presence, including its social media channels and newsletter to enhance visibility, engagement and public awareness.
The role requires a strategic, organised and creative approach to social media platforms including LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Vimeo and BlueSky. It will entail preparing and delivering innovative and compelling content in both written, visual and video production formats, which showcase the work of the Charity and its network of grantees. Using the latest platforms and technology such as Canva and InDesign, this role will help tell the important stories which emanate from the work of the charity, including publicising events, raising awareness and addressing interesting themes relevant to the work of the Charity and its community.
This role will also monitor and evaluate online engagement and will ensure there is a vibrant, creative and relevant tone across all platforms and mediums. They will also contribute to maintaining the website and newsletter, gathering stories from across the Charity’s networks and ensuring it is accessible and up to date with current affairs and events. Working closely with the Communications, Events and PR Manager, this person will be responsible for identifying opportunities to repurpose and amplify content across multiple channels to ensure the Charity’s media presence is maintained and enhanced both on a local, London wide and National basis.
Beyond digital communications, this role will support a busy calendar of events throughout the year, managing logistics from planning to execution, including navigation lists, booking venues, catering arrangements and on the day support and facilitation. This is a wide-ranging communications role with plenty of scope for development and growth, with the flexibility to be tailored to the strengths and interests of the postholder.
In addition to working for Charity, the post holder will also support the COO of the foundation in its newly developing communications work. This will require working across 2 schools, and the Charity in collaboration with the communications teams across the Foundation.
The person:
The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in a similar social media or digital communications role, ideally within the charity or not-for-profit sector but equally having come from a commercial setting, where an active interest in charitable work can be clearly evidenced. Bright, engaging and intellectually curious, this person will have a natural enthusiasm for the work of the charity and the desire to be an active member of an office-based team, all working towards the same goals.
An outstanding communicator both in person verbally and in writing, this person will have a proven track record of running digital communications activities and social media campaigns and will be proficient in design tools such as Canva, InDesign, Photoshop and PowerPoint, although training can be given where necessary. The ability to tailor the tone of content for various platforms and to appeal to a wide range of audiences, both locally, London wide and nationally will be important.
The desire to learn new skills will be strongly evident in this person, they will relish the thought of collaborating with colleagues to grow their expertise and to share ideas on how to optimise delivery across the digital and social media space. Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail, this person will be a strategic thinker with the ability to plan ahead and to spot opportunities further down the line to maximise the impact and reach of charity’s work. A working knowledge of WordPress and website management will be very useful but not essential.

The business is based in London, but we have agents based remotely all around the UK, helping to make the service accessible to everyone.
About the role
Kinly is looking for a Benefits Adviser to provide benefits advice, complete benefits checks and maximise the income of people over-66, their families and their carers. This includes Attendance Allowance, Pension Credit, Carer’s Allowance, Council Tax and Housing Benefit support. Main Responsibilities
- Provide benefits advice, benefits checks, form-filling and assistance to clients over-66 relating to disability and Pension Age people (including Pension Credit, Carer’s Allowance, Housing Benefit, Council Tax Support, Attendance Allowance, Blue Badge)
- Review completed forms and carry out case checks to ensure quality
- Work with Kinly team in identifying additional ways we can help clients (i.e., other benefits people might be eligible for)
- Speak with clients on the phone to help them with different benefits applications; demonstrating empathy, patience, listening and a good phone manner
- Help to train new colleagues (e.g., systems, form-filling) and provide mentorship
- Help other team members with complex cases
- Maintain good records of cases, using the company’s systems effectively
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the benefits system and policies and procedures relevant to the post
- Kinly provides support nationwide. Be aware of how regional differences can affect benefit entitlement (e.g., Local Housing Allowance) and include this knowledge in shaping the service and support

Person specification
- Good knowledge of welfare benefits, including those relating to disability and Pension Age people (including Pension Credit, Carer’s Allowance, Housing Benefit, Council Tax Support, Attendance Allowance, Blue Badge)
- Strong recent experience of giving advice on welfare benefits – ideally 2+ years of experience, ideally somewhere like Age UK or Citizens Advice Bureau
- Ability to use tools to conduct benefits checks
- Good understanding of how different benefits impact each other (e.g., premiums in Pension Credit, what Pension Credit unlocks)
- Knowledge of other issues affecting older people including housing, transport, Blue Badges, care funding and community support is important
- Desire to learn about benefits in different regions (e.g., Social Security Scotland)
- Experience of taking welfare benefits claims to reconsideration and appeal
- Great team player, excited about Kinly’s broader mission of helping older people
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly compassionate and caring individuals

The Role
This is a great chance to join a busy policy team to lead on our work around private client and tax. The team helps the Law Society shape policy in areas that mater to many of our members and firms they work in.
You will lead our policy development and projects on private client and tax issues, and support colleagues in the private law team on other issues such as technology, employment, company, conveyancing, climate change and supporting our members businesses.
Keeping up to date with policy and legal developments, you will spot and respond to opportunities for positive reforms. You will research and analyse the impact of changes on our members, on the clients they advise and the rule of law, and provide reliable and well-informed advice and leadership. Often you will prepare written briefings, consultation responses and guidance for internal and external audiences, and occasionally you will give oral presentations.
You will liaise with key internal and external stakeholders including colleagues, members of the Law Society, government, parliament and industry bodies. Working with colleagues from the policy, media, public affairs and other teams, you will help to ensure that our policy positions have maximum influence and visibility, and report on their impact showing how they deliver our strategic goals.

What we're looking for
- Ability to engage with and influence legal policy development across government, parliament, regulators and the legal profession, including spotting opportunities, developing credible and persuasive policy positions and recommendations, and evaluating, monitoring and reporting on impact
- Strong understanding of the UK's legal and political systems, good working knowledge of broad private law policy issues, and some expertise in private client related areas of law or ability to quickly develop this
- Ability to research and analyse complex legal and policy issues and assess their implications for the profession, the rule of law and the business of law
- Ability to explain complex legal and policy issues clearly, concisely and accurately for a wide range of audiences, both orally and in writing

We are recruiting a Senior Media and Communications Officer to join us and play a pivotal role in promoting Solace’s services and campaigning work to external audiences via the media and social media. The post holder will also support with internal communications, and hold oversight of communications volunteers. This role will ensure domestic abuse survivors, decision makers, supporters and future supporters understand the life-saving services we offer, our hard-hitting campaigns, Solace’s impact on women’s lives and our contribution to bringing about lasting change.
