· A sound knowledge of all aspects of reward including role evaluation and benchmarking, short and long-term incentives, cash and benefits.
· High levels of numeracy with advanced Excel skills including the ability to analyse complex data and extract appropriate information.
· Demonstrable experience of pay modelling and costing of proposals
· The ability to work in a complex environment and adapt to different audiences, influencing a range of stakeholders where appropriate.
· The ability to produce concise well-written papers, reports and policies.

What we are looking for
We are seeking our first Communications Manager who will develop and deliver a Communications Strategy that helps us to: engage more effectively with existing stakeholders (workshop participants, volunteers, artists, funders, donors), increase our profile and reach new audiences. Main purpose of job
To develop and deliver an effective communication strategy across all channels

Example projects
· Reviewing our existing digital presence, and optimising current channels and opportunities, for example by improvements to and regular updates of website, segmenting socials audiences and creating appropriate content for each
· Creating impactful short videos of participants, volunteers, partners and donors, and gaining maximum value from them
· Examining existing database and contacts, segmenting audiences, and working with other teams to develop specific communications to increase engagement
Key responsibilities
· Developing and implementing a Communications Strategy that enables impactful communications with key audiences, transforming our reach
· Responsible for ensuring impactful implementation and engaging use of our relatively new brand (launched Jan 2024), clarifying our organisational voice and key messages, and supporting the team to embed them across their work
· Proactive strategic management, development and measurement of all social media channels (currently X, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube, to varying degrees)
· Responsible for appropriate use and development of our website, including keeping it up to date with our projects and case studies, and maximising engagement and SEO
· Supporting the fundraising team to fully realise new and existing income streams
· Supporting the operations team to deliver effective communications to participants, volunteers and partners
· Working with the team to identify and create assets and resources for use across the organisation, for example using participant stories, evaluation data
· Initiating public outreach and profile raising work, including identifying and engaging with relevant publications and events, soliciting and responding to media engagement, and cultivating high-profile ambassadors
· Supporting the rest of the organisation’s work, such as events, exhibitions, fundraising activities etc as needed

You will take an externally focused, relational approach, building partnerships and working closely with stakeholders across the sector, including policy makers, researchers, and delivery organisations. You will ensure that our grants are impactful, fair, and aligned with the strategic goals of the Charity.

As part of its activities as a registered charity there is a public programme of art and historical exhibitions, and cultural and community events. These are made possible by a busy schedule of private/commercial and public hire, being a popular venue for weddings, parties, filming, lectures and talks, well-being classes etc.
As Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overall efficient and smooth House management operations, front of house and behind the scenes. This includes premises inspection and oversight, facilities management and maintenance, security, health and safety, fire safety etc. Working closely with the Director, you will develop special infrastructure improvement projects and identify contractors, consultants, costings and quotes. The role is also responsible for Visitor Experience operations and Volunteer management - optimising visitor experience and relationships, and ensuring appropriate House appearance.
The successful candidate will have experience in operational management in a similar organisation, or with clearly transferable skills and an understanding and workplace experience of physical building infrastructure management. Experience with visitor services management and its basic principles is key, alongside experience of developing and managing planned maintenance and minor works contracts, and some hands on maintenance where possible. Knowledge of Health and Safety, fire safety, security, emergency planning management is a must and either knowledge of am interest in historic building conservation (and wider arts and heritage), and environmental sustainability is essential.

As a Senior Practitioner, I take responsibility for my own work and have a responsibility in assisting or supervising others in the team to achieve the overall team/service outcomes. I have a lead role in developing my part of the service/project.
I am responsible for one-to-one support including carrying a case load and developing and reviewing personal support plans; I work autonomously being able to judge when I refer to my Manager and I take a lead role in developing the service.
I work mainly on a one-to-one basis in the community and/or in people’s homes; and I may support group and other activities in the Change Mental Health Resource Centre – although one to one support is my main focus.
I support the Locality, Service and Area Managers, in their strategic role to meet national and funder criteria. I work l closely with partners in the community to identify gaps in the service where they arise and implement solutions in partnership with my line manager.

The UK Humanitarian Innovation Hub (UKHIH) is looking to recruit a Communications and Engagement Manager for a Maternity Cover for up to 1 year.
In this role you will have the opportunity to lead processes and activities in support of the design and delivery of the UK Humanitarian Innovation Hub’s (UKHIH) global communications and engagement strategy under the direction and guidance of the UKHIH Director.
The role will require you to have strong campaign and project management skills and a passion for driving the conversation around humanitarian research and innovation by delivering integrated multi-channel communications campaigns to engage the key stakeholders and drive impact around our work.
The role also leads UKHIH’s convening work – bringing together stakeholders (e.g., innovators, academics, and humanitarians) through a range of mechanisms to promote and facilitate collaborations that focus on new and improved approaches, processes, and systems that make humanitarian action more effective.
The UKHIH Communications and Engagement Manager will work closely with Elrha’s communications team to align communications as part of a broader organisational development process and strategy, contributing to ongoing communications efforts for both Elrha and UKHIH during a period of strategic change.
Your application will need to demonstrate:
- Experience of planning and delivering multi-channel communications strategies in a way that is timely, targeted, impactful and ethical.
- Experience in the international development or humanitarian sector, including an awareness of humanitarian issues and the way that the humanitarian system operates in terms of relevant media, networks, and organisations.
- Excellent track record of Experience of managing external communications suppliers and agencies.
- Experience supporting diverse teams in the development of communication and engagement strategies and capacity development.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and develop creative content across digital, print and other mediums.

- Experience with event management including webinars, round tables, conference events, workshops and networking events.

The NSPCC is delivering our Letting the Future In service within The Lighthouse in Camden, the UK's first Child House. This multi-disciplinary innovative service provides physical and emotional health assessment, criminal justice and advocacy support and a range of therapeutic interventions to children and young people, following the disclosure of sexual abuse.

Job purpose
Lead a team of operational staff ensuring the highest quality of delivery and expert evidence-based services to children and families in line with the defined model of service and evaluation requirements. Provide line management and reflective supervision to ensure practice standards are maintained at all times. Main duties and responsibilities
- Provide line management for all operational staff including practitioners, volunteers and practice educators.
- Provide effective leadership to staff in the centre and within the region / nation, particularly through periods of change.
- Ensure that staff understand their contribution to the NSPCC strategic objectives and their role and responsibility in relation to the Directorate's delivery model of providing evidence-based services within a safeguarding context.
- Provide professional reflective supervision to operational staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality evidence-based services to children and families, this may include group supervision and practice observation.
- Hold case management accountability for all cases within the team from referral through to case closure, ensuring all safeguarding practice and case recording conforms to NSPCC practice standards and guidance, legislation and policy.
