Purpose of the role
We are looking for enthusiastic colleague ready to work in a fast-paced and exciting work environment who can easily grasp and communicate impact to our different audiences. The Communications Specialist will be an exceptional writer across different platforms, be an excellent coordinator across the communications and wider team and be a strategic thinker. Key Responsibilities
Content generation
· Draft compelling content for our different audiences across a broad suite of communications, particularly for our website, newsletters and materials.
Strategic delivery
- Support the Head of Communications and Membership and the Communications Lead to implement our Communications Strategy and Social Media Strategy.
- Design and deliver several communications plans for key global opportunities – for our latest insight/research/tools and for our participation at high-profile events.
- Take a strategic focus across communications outputs, identifying core audiences and the best messages and approaches to reach those audiences.
- Oversee funding communications, developing materials and digital communications to resonate with business, foundations and other funders.
Drive efficiency and continuous improvement
· Aptly project manage the delivery of our key moments, particularly for research and events, being exceptionally organised and working well with external suppliers and the wider team.
· Seamlessly coordinate the planning and evaluation of communications milestones, including our communications calendar.
· Maintain and improve core systems including our mailing lists and help to improve our website through regularly maintenance and updates.
· Support the development of processes to enhance how we plan communications opportunities and evaluate impact from across the team.
Using relationships for change
- Build relationships with our Members, partners and donors to share their story, make them feel valued and ensure they promote our initiatives.
- Support capacity building of the wider team in communications (e.g. providing feedback, templates and running training sessions).
- Work openly with colleagues, collaborating enthusiastically and asserting and influencing effectively for timely communications.
Visual identity
- Be a brand ambassador and champion, implement and support development of protocols and house style guidelines, ensuring high standards of accuracy and consistency across the team and our content.
- Develop compelling visuals to accompany communications.
Other
- Support the navigation of communications issues.

Depending on your experience and interests, you could lead activities such as farm maintenance, cooking, horse work, or creative projects. In addition, you’ll contribute to the wider life of the farm, supporting feeding rounds, meal preparation, and other daily routines. You will collaborate closely with the Bath team to ensure the smooth delivery of each visit, helping to create a safe and supportive environment for all.

THE ROLE
• This is a key leadership role, responsible for leading the Trust’s strategic delivery in in Wales, managing, inspiring and coaching a multidisciplinary team focused on prioritising activities of greatest impact to take advantage of unique opportunities in Wales whilst ensuring alignment with our UK plans.
• The role reports to the Director Operations and People and is part of the Senior Leadership Team, responsible for deploying its resources and activities in line with Trust priorities. THE CANDIDATE
• Strong background of leading and managing teams at a senior level, preferably in the conservation or environmental sector, you’ll be an inspirational leader.

• Responsible for the creation and delivery of our strategic plan for Wales you’ll be able to promote the work of the Woodland Trust with energy flair and imagination to high level partners, funders and stakeholders.
• Experience in shaping and implementing organisational strategy as well as setting and managing multi-million £ budgets, having the responsibility to report to executive levels.
• Experience in delivering operational leadership, change management and high performance across the Operations function including multiple complex projects.
• Welsh language will be beneficial or have the willingness to learn.
• The role is based in in Wales and will require the successful candidate to undertake travel across a wide area. A full driving licence is required.

Alongside artistic excellence, fundraising has been vital to AAM’s success since it registered as a charity in 2000. The orchestra’s financial strength stems from the ongoing generosity of an ever-expanding family of supporters who donated more than £430k last year to sustain AAM’s work.
Overall, the orchestra is funded by a mixture of income generated by concerts in the UK and abroad, royalties and other residuals, Orchestra Tax Relief and a large group of private donors (individuals and trusts & foundations). AAM does not receive regular public funding, though the current season marks the beginning of a four-year collaboration with the Arts and Humanities Research Council which will have a significant impact on the core funding of the organisation, as well as our ability to deliver several extraordinary projects.
Individual giving at AAM is supported by three membership schemes: Academy, Associates and Friends. Together, these make up the orchestra’s closest group of supporters. These individuals are at the heart of our work, and we are committed to developing deep and long-lasting relationships with them all. Alongside membership, the AAM Legacy Circle was established in 2013 to recognise AAM supporters who have informed us of their intention to remember the orchestra in their wills. Dame Emma Kirkby, one of AAM’s most distinguished collaborators, is the Circle’s Founder Patron. To date, the vast majority of individual giving has been from UK residents, though we plan to explore investment strategies in the coming years to increase our presence in North America, hopefully driving capacity for giving there.

Role purpose
In this role you’d be supporting the Head of Impact and working alongside the policy and impact officer to deliver our impact and evaluation activities. This includes delivering our monitoring, evaluation and learning framework; conducting bespoke research; working directly with beneficiaries and volunteers; and using technology to demonstrate and communicate the impact Re-engage has on the lives of older people experiencing loneliness and social isolation.

Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Support the administration and ongoing development of our regular monitoring, evaluation and learning activities, including monthly, quarterly and annual reporting
- Administer the routine capture of impact and evaluation data, using our systems and CRM database, ensuring the accurate recording of data in line with GDPR guidelines and best practice
- Conduct a range of evaluations using both quantitative and qualitative methods including online, telephone and paper surveys, interviews and focus groups
- Analyse and prepare impact and evaluation data for teams across the organisation, including our fundraising, communications, service delivery, engagement and senior management teams
- Maintain and support the development of impact and evaluation digital content on the organisations intranet and external website
- Use technology, including Microsoft Customer Voice, PowerBI, Dovetail and Canva to analyse and communicate impact and evaluation data for both internal and external audiences, including the production of reports, infographics and digital dashboards
- Conduct primary and secondary research for funded projects and service development
- Support the administration of our Advisory Group, made up of our beneficiaries who provide regular feedback and input into our services

Person specification:
Essential
- A degree (or equivalent) in any subject or demonstrable equivalent experience in research/data analysis/evaluations or similar (paid or voluntary)
- Basic data collection and/or analysis experience
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills - able to engage with and communicate with older people and generally with people from all walks of life
- Understanding of, or interest in learning about loneliness, social isolation and issues that affect isolated and lonely older people
- Excellent IT skills and good knowledge of Microsoft packages including Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
- Self-motivated, organised and methodical approach to work with excellent time management and ability to work with minimal supervision and deliver against KPIs

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
STRATEGIC
· Work under the guidance of the Head of Delivery & Engagement to design, implement and be responsible for the Volunteering Strategy - to recruit, train and retain enough volunteers to meet our delivery targets and grow our services
· Collaborate with the Service Delivery Manager and the Marketing & Communications Manager to identify delivery gaps across boroughs and create targeted recruitment campaigns

DELIVERY

· Create, deliver and systematically review volunteer training (initial and refresher) ensuring content is up to date and all volunteers are fully trained in delivery and safeguarding in line with Doorstep Library’s policies
· Develop and manage the stewardship of volunteers on an ongoing basis and retain comprehensive oversight of all volunteers throughout their volunteering journey
· Curate, with the Marketing & Communications Manager, regular content and communications about our volunteering offer (i.e. case studies, blogs, newsletters etc.)
· Oversee the functionality of the relevant parts of the Volunteer Database (managed by an external company) suggesting improvements/developments where necessary

POSITION SUMMARY
The Head of Development will provide overall leadership for Videre’s fundraising activities. They will develop and implement the fundraising strategy, ensuring income goals are achieved in the short, medium and long-term through direct relationship building, input to programme design, concept note drafting and deployment of the CEO and Senior Directors. They will be part of the organisational Management Team, working closely with colleagues to deliver on the organisational strategy.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic planning and management
- Lead on the delivery of the 2025-2027 fundraising strategy, adjusting as required, ensuring that Videre has the resources to deliver on its mission and strategic goals.
- Lead on maintaining our backbone infrastructure of prospect research, concept note coordination and drafting and deployment of senior staff (including yourself) into the right spaces with the right messages and background information.
- Track progress against the fundraising strategy, with regular reporting to senior management and the Board of Trustees against strategic indicators and outcomes, and pro-actively address any potential shortfalls.
- Maintain detailed and accurate income projections and forecasts, liaising with the Head of Finance & Compliance to closely monitor organisational cash flow.
- Line manage the Trust & Foundation Officer (expected to hire in late 2025), providing close support on operational tasks, time management and prioritisation, and pro-actively supporting professional development.

- Lead the development of cultivation strategies for existing and potential donors and manage their implementation.
- Develop materials, including proposals, grant applications, and supporting documentation tailored to the donor audience, ensuring accuracy, fit, and timely submission.

DAY-TO-DAY TASKS will include:
