About the role
As our Health Access & Outreach Coordinator, you’ll be at the forefront of a project designed to improve healthcare accessibility for rough sleepers and those struggling with health inequalities. You will:
- Lead outreach across multiple boroughs, engaging rough sleepers and connecting them to essential services.
- Work with peer health mentors to foster trust and improve service engagement.
- Build strong partnerships with NHS providers, housing services, and harm reduction teams.

The Talent Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the Foundation’s Talent Hub. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to make a difference in a small but influential national charity building a positive legacy for the late Jo Cox MP. We are looking for someone to provide administrative support for the team. You’ll work to support our core operations, and you’ll also be involved with the administrative aspects of our Stronger Communities work. In the first instance, this will mean supporting the delivery of our lottery-funded project in West Yorkshire through which we’re creating a shared vision for Batley, Heckmondwike and Dewsbury.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Operations and Projects Officer will provide administrative support for the team. You’ll be supporting the day-to-day running of the Foundation, helping to ensure that everything runs smoothly. Within operations, you’ll provide administrative support on everything from finance and HR to fundraising and supporter care.
As a member of the Stronger Communities team, you’ll also provide support for our work building less lonely, better connected communities across the UK, where everyone feels that they belong. This begins with our current lottery-funded Bridging & Belonging project in Kirklees. You’ll act as the main administrator for the project, supporting the Community Group and Yorkshire Programme Manager to lead the work.
This will include setting up meetings, liaising with community venues and services, managing enquiries, answering questions directly and getting responses from colleagues where necessary. There will also be occasional on the ground community-facing work supporting the Bridging and Belonging community group at local events in North Kirklees.

Action Foundation was established in 2005 to assist asylum seekers, refugees and other migrants in Tyne and Wear. The Project Manager (Clinical Guidelines) is an important role at the College, as you will work closely with key clinical stakeholders and researchers to lead the management and delivery of the decreased consciousness guideline update within the RCPCH clinical guideline portfolio, which paediatricians and their colleagues regularly use to manage the treatment of children’s medical conditions.
As Project Manager (Clinical Guidelines) you will identify and coordinate members of expert working groups to undertake the development of clinical guidelines, carrying out systematic searches, critically appraising research papers and providing methodological advice to these working groups.
Based within the Research and Evidence team, you will also work with communications colleagues to create and implement communication plans and resources/assets related to the RCPCH clinical guidelines, as well as working with the Head of Grants and Partnerships to identify sources of funding to support future work within the Research and Evidence remit.
In addition, you will take responsibility for maintaining the Reye’s Syndrome microsite on behalf of the College.
Suitably qualified with a research methodology element or with equivalent work experience, you should have proven technical expertise in clinical guideline methodology and systematic reviews, have a rigorous knowledge of research methodology and quality assurance and have excellent critical appraisal skills.
With a background of working with clinicians or academics in the NHS or a similar regulated environment, you should have proven stakeholder management skills and be able to assimilate and report complex medical information on child health research quickly and clearly to different audiences.
Familiarity with carrying out statistical analysis using SPSS, STATA and/or Review manager and experience in the use of GRADE (Grading of Recommendations, Assessment, Development, and Evaluations) framework would be desirable. Experience of evaluation methodologies and a project management qualification would also be desirable.
