We are looking for a Senior Manager – Policy, Government & Evidence Generation. This is a key role for Youth Futures Foundation as a What Works Centre. Reporting to the Head of Public Policy, but working closely with Evaluation and Public Affairs colleagues, this is a unique role, sitting at the intersection of our policy, government relations and evidence generation work. The work of the Public Policy team will focus on the following strategic themes for the organisation:

You will lead and manage our work in two key macro areas:
- Evidence generation opportunities – Engaging with national and local government on evidence generation partnership opportunities, working with the Evidence and Evaluation team to identify new opportunities and supporting the brokerage of trials to test interventions to support marginalised young people.
- Regional policy – Managing our policy work with regional and local government across the youth employment agenda
This role can be based at any of our hubs located in London, Birmingham or Leeds. We currently operate a hybrid model of two-days per week in the office and three-days from home.

About the Team
The Programme Management Team, where the Senior Programme Manager (SPM) role sits, is part of the Programme Partnership department, which objective is to increase the quality of Save the Children's work through the design and delivery of impactful programmes and partnerships, strengthening the Movement, and empowering Country Offices (CO).
The Programme Management Team provides support to Save the Children country programmes in the quality management of programmes funded via Save the Children UK (SCUK). The team provides both a second-line quality assurance function, whilst aiming to strengthen the capacity of in-country teams in the effective management of SCUK's portfolio. The team operates as Save the Children UK's programmatic and geographic experts, providing advice and insight to the wider organisation on country contextual issues and maintaining strong relations with country and regional counterparts as well as our institutional, corporate and philanthropy donors.
About the role
The Senior Programme Manager (SPM) primary focus is to oversee the quality management of programmes and related awards (grants & contracts) that are part of a portfolio covering several COs or donors. The portfolio under the SPM's overall responsibility is a sub-set within our Western and Central Africa team.
This role involves both direct management of programmes and related awards implemented in specific country programmes or supported by particular corporate & philanthropy donor(s); and providing direction, support and technical advice to Programme Managers (PMs) working in the same portfolio sub-set. The SPM works with wide autonomy and decision-making capacity, both within their directly management portfolio as well as the portfolio sub-set, with regards to portfolio's risks, issues, and workload management.
Being responsible for several COs or corporate & philanthropy donors, the SPM plays a key role, and works very closely with the Programme Management Lead in the effective development and implementation of regional and partnership strategies; in identifying and addressing systemic risks and issues; in improving and creating new internal processes; and in ensuring the capacity building and professional development of PMs
In this role, you will:
Support to quality & impactful programming in Country Offices
- Develop strong a knowledge of in-country context and current issues, as well as of Save the Children's key programmatic themes and priorities, for the countries or programmes under their directly managed portfolio. Provide input to the Programme Management Lead and influencing SCUK funding strategies for the countries or programmes under their portfolio.
- Act as the point of reference within SCUK for any matter or question regarding the countries or programmes under their responsibility. Liaise with other SCUK teams on relevant areas of concern, particularly fostering close collaboration with staff in P&P, PQI, HD, Media and Communication and PAC.
- Contribute to the growth of COs funding portfolio and facilitate this is in line with their Country Strategic Plans (CSPs), by leading and working closely with the other teams in PP Strengthen and build capacities of CO staff, in coordination with the relevant SCI teams, particularly around quality programming and funding management and donor compliance.
- Develop a strong knowledge of donor's priorities and interests in the country(ies) under their responsibility. Develop and maintain relevant donor relationships, serving as the focal point for HQ-level donor staff, for the countries or programmes under their directly managed portfolio.
Lead business development, award management and donor compliance assurance
- Monitor and oversight of all SCUK-supported programmes for the countries or programmes under their directly managed portfolio, including identifying related risks and managing issues.
- Grant and contract management, from point of contract negotiation and signature, to quality assurance during implementation, and working with other SCUK departments to support reporting. Ensure awards in the portfolio are compliant with donor requirements and SC quality standards
- Provide support to COs in meeting key programme deliverables, as well as other donor expectations.
- Ensure relevant quality assurance processes are completed so that programmes are running effectively and on time.
- Identify new funding opportunities, as follow-on from existing awards and/or as part of the day-to-day interaction with donors. Provide input in or lead on bid management for SCUK institutional and non-institutional proposals
- Direct representation role with counterparts in SCUK, donor organisations, partner and NGO networks in relation to awards portfolio and pipeline.
Funding portfolio sub-set oversight
- Provide oversight, support and prioritisation for the management of the portfolio sub-set under their responsibility, acting as first point of senior advice and decision-making on complex issues, involving medium to low risk, brought forward by the PMs working in the same portfolio sub-set.
- Monitor risks and issues developments within the portfolio sub-set, making sure that the Programme Management Lead and PP senior management are aware and fully briefed of issues requiring major strategic decisions.
- Approve and sign-off opportunities and documents, as per delegated authority, within the portfolio sub-set.
- Provide input to the Programme Management Lead and ROs in resource mobilisation strategies for COs and donors within the portfolio sub-set, making sure that agreed priorities are implemented by PMs, as well as other teams, working in the portfolio sub-set.
- Monitor KPIs and other data related to programme and funding management, providing analysis to relevant stakeholders.
People management
- Provide effective and timely day-to-day support and manage workload for PMs working in the portfolio sub-set under the SPM's responsibility (‘work management'), as part of matrix management with the Programme Management Lead. Contribute to setting annual objectives and priorities and provide input in annual reviews.
About you
It is important that you have:
- Extensive experience in project and grant/contract management, with knowledge of institutional donor compliance requirements
- Extensive experience working with institutional donors such as FCDO, UN and multilateral agencies (e.g. UNICEF, OCHA, World Bank), particularly on proposal development and report writing.
- Experience in Payment by Result and/or Outcome based contracts an asset.
- Significant experience of working in the international aid sector, including in overseas roles, with practical experience and understanding of related contextual and operational issues. Good working knowledge of one or more countries supported by SCUK
- Strong working knowledge of international development/humanitarian issues.
- Significant financial processes and reporting skills
- Experience of establishing strong working relationships with colleagues from different organisations, functions, and cultures, often remotely.
- Ability to manage a complex and varied workload, in order to organise and prioritise multiple tasks efficiently, manage reactive and proactive work, and deliver tasks to tight deadlines.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to identify and implement effective processes for achieving outcomes.
- Proven attention for detail and ability to effectively manage a high volume of data and information.
- Very strong team skills, with the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships and collaborate both within and outside the team
- Fluent in French & English (Speaking & writing) is essential

The Elise Pilkington Trust was set up in 1979 to support two causes; equine welfare and to support elderly charities. Since the Trust was established more than £5.8m has been granted to these good causes.
We are looking for a Trust Administrator who can look after the day to day running of the charity. This will include dealing with & processing grant applications, arrange trustee meetings, ensure the trust are complying with Charity Commission guidance, maintain the Trust's website and email accounts as well as the usual day to day office management.

Partnership Lead
Job Purpose
The Partnership Lead will play a key role in operationalising and overseeing the support for approximately 34 school hubs across England, contributing to local school improvement. They will also take the lead in operationalising the renewal of all schools across the Challenge Partners network.
Schools within Challenge Partners subscribe annually and join forces in local hubs, spanning England from Cornwall to County Durham. The hub works together over the course of the academic year pulling together a Hub Action Plan, which aims to tackle collectively agreed priorities using funding from Challenge Partners. Challenge Partners hubs provide the local element of our collaborative partnership.
The Partnership Lead will build and manage relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and hold responsibility for ensuring all hubs have everything they need to provide an excellent experience to schools. They will also support the renewal of all schools, through leading excellent Customer Care practices and operationalising the annual retention campaign, working with the Partnership Development Manager. They will work closely with the Partnership Experience Manager and the team of Partnership Coordinators to ensure excellent delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Role Summary
The Operations Executive will join a small but rapidly growing team working at GH50/50. Within this role, and in close collaboration with the Head of Operations you will ensure high quality administrative support across GH50/50, setting the entire team up for success. Chief Executive Officer reporting to the Chair of the Ampleforth Abbey Trust
Ampleforth Abbey Trust is looking to appoint a dynamic strategic leader to the post of Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Purpose of the role
The post of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) leads the works of the Abbey Trust on behalf of the monastic community, providing strategic leadership and managerial oversight of the Trust’s activities. In conjunction with the Chair of the Trust, the post-holder will support the Abbot in ensuring that the needs and ambitions of the monastic community are met, whilst also ensuring that the contents and pace of the Trust’s forward plan align with these needs. The post-holder will work closely with the Abbot to understand fully the needs and plans of the monastery and identify the business challenges and opportunities facing the Trust arising from these.
The post-holder will take the lead in ensuring that staff, volunteers and external stakeholders are engaged in the work of the Trust. They will also maintain a professional relationship with the Head and Bursar of Ampleforth College to ensure effective co-ordination and open communication where necessary.
The CEO is accountable to the Chair of the Ampleforth Abbey Trust and will work in liaison with the Abbot, and the Head and Bursar of Ampleforth College. In addition, they will also work closely with the Co-ordinator of Hospitality and the General Manager to reflect the importance of hospitality, retreatants, groups and general visitors, to the work of the Abbey Trust.
The post-holder will work effectively with all regulatory bodies, particularly the Charity Commission, to ensure that all regulatory requirements are met.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of the CEO fall under the headings Strategy, Leadership and Management, with a particular focus on finance.
Strategy
· Developing and leading the implementation of the strategy for the Ampleforth Abbey Trust which supports the needs of the monastic community and the delivery of the Trust’s charitable objects and which has in-built clear key performance measures;
· managing the General Manager and the Finance Manager to ensure the financial sustainability of the Abbey Trust across all of its activities;
· managing the Director of Safeguarding and Wellbeing to ensure that the highest standards of safeguarding are implemented and embedded across all Trust strategies, plans and activities;
· in conjunction with the Clerk/Company Secretary ensuring that matters relating to legislation and governance – compliance, structures, policies and processes – are in place to facilitate efficient and effective working across the Trust in order to improve organisational effectiveness.
Leadership
· providing effective leadership and management to the Trust’s senior officers and finance team, and managing selected Trust-wide contracts (for example, HR, IT and fundraising);
· working with the Chair of trustees to lead and deliver the Trust’s fundraising activities;
· working with the Co-ordinator of Hospitality and General Manager to ensure that the Trust’s activities are supportive of, and aligned with, the hospitality apostolate;

Key Responsibilities
- The purpose of this role is to lead the charities Lotteries and Raffles team which has the goal of generating and inspiring support from both new and existing supporters. This person will advance existing products and campaigns towards their full potential as well as develop new campaigns and activity that drive growth, retention and engagement. In doing so, they will act as a key support to the Executive Director of Individual Giving and Lotteries in ensuring that the department achieves its income generation goals.
- Develop a clear vision and strategy to deliver sustainable income growth within the prize led fundraising channel.
- Drive and oversee all day-to-day activity around lotteries and raffles, ensuring campaigns are effectively coordinated and that broader teams are enabled to support delivery.
- Proactively find ways to increase the impact of the Lottery and Raffle income streams by developing and testing new approaches to player recruitment, retention and engagement.
- Supported by the Executive Director of Individual Giving and Lotteries ensure compliance of the KSS lottery activities against the charities Gambling Commission license conditions
- Ensure that the operations of the entire income stream, including those delivered by external parties, adhere to guidance and legislation set out by associated regulatory bodies. This includes but is not limited to the Gambling Commission, Charity Commission, Fundraising Regulator and Chartered Institute of Fundraising best practice guidelines.
Head of Lotteries and Raffles
The role of Head of Lotteries and Raffles is part of the management team within the Individual Giving and Lotteries directorate. This directorate plays a crucial role in fostering strong relationships with our supporters and generating sustainable income for KSS. Our Lotteries have a combined income of £9 million per year, and the Head of Lotteries and Raffles will be responsible for ensuring the consistent growth of these lotteries, and to ensure that we provide engaging and safe fundraising avenue for our supporters.
