HR Officer
We are looking for a HR Officer to join the team supporting the HR function, in this part-time, hybrid working role.
This role could also be full-time incorporating the operations support function, which at the moment is as separate standalone part-time role.

The Role
As HR Officer you will provide support and specialist HR knowledge to all of the operational functions. This includes supporting the Finance Manager and other members of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) on the delivery of various projects, maintaining employee records, and advising on compliance with UK Employment and Health and Safety Laws.
Main areas of responsibility include:
- Maintain up to date employee records
- Support health and safety compliance and training
- Support and coordinate staff training
- Training new staff on systems and day-to-day procedures
- Day-to-day management of the HR management system, BrightHR
- Assist in the preparation of monthly payroll instruction for accountants
- Working closely with the Finance Manager to ensure operational expense is accurately reported and logged
- Recruitment and induction of new staff and staff exits
- Assist with compliance of legal policy frameworks related to employment and health and safety
- Provide HR guidance and support to employees on employee relations and workplace policies
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of HR practices and procedures
We are advertising this as a part-time permanent role but would welcome applications for this post and the Operations Administrator post as a full-time position, HR and Operations Officer, £29,000 annual salary 1.0 FTE.
About You
With experience in a HR role OR equivalent experience in a role with evidence of transferable skills, you will have experience of overseeing administrative systems and the ability to manage a varied and busy workload.
With excellent organisational skills and time management, you will have knowledge and understanding of key HR functions and UK Employment Law.

A lot of people know NCT for our antenatal classes, and we want to continue to support as many parents and families as we can to access evidence-based information. But we are also much more than this. We are a charity that campaigns on the issues that matter to parents. We run breastfeeding and infant feeding support, provided by specialist counsellors. We run thousands of free community activities and events across the UK, led by our fantastic volunteers and peers. And we support women and families facing specific challenges, such as social isolation, feeding difficulties or poor mental health.
Our Hackney Parent Support project is commissioned by Hackney Council, to offer infant feeding support across the region in both community and hospital settings and parenting courses for families throughout the Hackney region. The support is delivered by staff and volunteer peer supporters.
We are seeking a capable Peer Supporter who will support parents at Homerton Hospital and at various community settings in Hackney. This role will mainly be based between Homerton hospital and out in the community (expenses will be reimbursed).
About the Role
You will be responsible for offering infant feeding support for parents within Homerton Hospital and the community. Some of the key responsibilities of the role include:
· Providing breastfeeding support to families on the wards at Homerton hospital and community settings within Hackney.
· Support in delivering inductions for volunteer peer supporters.
· To report any concerns or additional support needs of women to the NCT management team and/or Infant Feeding Lead for referral onto partner agencies as appropriate.
· To attend regular supervision/support sessions.
· Having a good working knowledge and understanding of the local demographics in the Hackney area and ensuring all support is accessible and inclusive.
· Ensure that data collection and feedback is collected in a timely manner in an inclusive way.
You must have good communication skills and be able to build relationships and create a rapport with a wide range of people easily. This is a large project and covers multiple locations so you must be able to confidently prioritise your own work, be highly organised and able to work independently.
Being able to make decisions and respond appropriately to our staff, peer supporters and parents and other external stakeholders is essential, alongside good IT skills– including Outlook, Word and Excel – and you must have good attention to detail.
It is essential for this post that you undertake the training to become an NCT Breastfeeding Peer Supporter. This requires experience of giving breast milk. The training can be undertaken within your working hours.
The role is 21 hours per week which will be predominantly Monday to Friday within the working day, however, will include occasional evening and weekends. This role is mainly based at Homerton Hospital and at community settings across Hackney.

RSWT are seeking an innovative and strategic lead to head key elements of their ‘Evidence Emergency’ project. This initiative aims to enhance our approach to using evidence in conservation, improving data-driven decisionmaking through the establishment of a Centre of Excellence for Evidence-based Conservation. The role involves co-ordinating and scaling innovation efforts, managing digital and data projects, embedding a skills bank and competency framework across the federation, fostering internal communication and knowledge sharing, and developing long-term sustainability strategies. The ideal candidate will have a excellent background in project management, digital technologies, and data analytics within conservation, as well as great communication and collaboration skills. About the Evidence Emergency project:
The Evidence Emergency project is a critical initiative within the Wildlife Trusts federation aimed at addressing the urgent need for robust, data-driven decision-making in conservation efforts. This project, run in partnership across several trusts, recognises the growing importance of digital technologies and data analytics in understanding and protecting wildlife and habitats across the UK.
The project’s main goals include enhancing the collection, analysis, and sharing of ecological data across the Wildlife Trusts network, as well as developing innovative digital solutions to support conservation work. It seeks to build capacity for data-driven decision-making while fostering a culture of innovation and knowledge sharing across the federation. A key component of the project is the establishment of a Centre of Excellence for Evidencebased Conservation, which will drive long-term improvements in how evidence is used in conservation efforts.

What the job involves
We’re seeking a Digital Channels Officer to join our Web Operations Team covering maternity leave on a fixed term basis.
In this role, you’ll play a key part in managing content for our website, ensuring that all information is up-to-date and impactful. You’ll be responsible for publishing digital updates via the content management system (CMS) to ensure timely, high-quality, and consistent content across the website. Working closely with colleagues across Prostate Cancer UK, you’ll provide guidance on our online presence and help deliver engaging digital experiences for all our audiences.
Your day-to-day will include editing, proofreading, and publishing content that resonates with our audience. You’ll also help train internal teams on our content management system.
Collaborating with our Web Operations Team, you’ll spot opportunities for improvement and contribute to larger projects, helping us continually improve our site and deliver results more efficiently.
What we want from you
We’re looking for someone with solid experience in writing, editing, and proofreading web content who is comfortable authoring basic HTML and preparing web images with accessibility requirements in mind. You'll be skilled in using content management systems (ideally Umbraco) to build and update web pages.
You’ll need the technical skills to author and edit basic HTML, as well as prepare and edit images for the web. A solid working knowledge of interpreting website analytics, including experience with Google Analytics and search engine optimisation techniques, is essential. You’ll be an excellent communicator, skilled at explaining complex analytics and technical details in a clear, approachable way for non-technical colleagues.

About the role
Key accountabilities but not limited to:
- Assisting the Programme Manager with effective implementation of CPP projects and activities, statistical data maintenance, promotion of shared learning and capacity building with external stakeholders
- Supporting the full lifecycle of the CPP project including planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and learning
- Provision of project documentation and reports in a timely and accessible way
- Contributing to programme monitoring and data collection
- Supporting activities tied to the project, collation of documentation, reporting, workshops, organising case studies, event management and travel arrangements

Background: Muslim Charities Forum (MCF) is the UK network for British Muslim charities working for social good in the UK and internationally. Through our network of almost 300 charitable organisations, we aim to collectively build a more accountable, transparent and efficient British Muslim charitable sector, in order to improve our ability—both as individual organisations and as a sector—to contribute to a more just and sustainable world. Job Purpose: MCF has a small team, but our impact is far-reaching. The Sector and Business Development Lead has an important role in supporting members and the wider British Muslim charity sector, reporting and working directly with the CEO. The postholder will be responsible for managing change management, organisational development and capacity building support to the voluntary, community and third sector in 4 core areas including governance, organisational development, volunteering and fundraising. As the Flagship Store Manager, you will play a key role in supporting our Retail Manager to maximise sales and ensure the smooth operation of our retail business. You’ll be part of an enthusiastic Retail team that values collaboration, innovation, and a shared commitment to positive change.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Retail Manager in achieving sales targets and operational goals.
- Lead, inspire, and manage a dedicated team, including staff and volunteers.
- Ensure exceptional customer service and a welcoming store environment.
- Manage inventory, merchandising, and store presentation to align with brand standards.
- Oversee daily store operations, including cash handling, reporting, and compliance.
- Contribute to marketing initiatives and community engagement efforts.
About You:
- Experience: Previous experience in a store management role within the fashion or furniture industry is essential.
- Skills: Strong leadership skills with proven line management experience. Experience managing volunteers is highly desirable.
- Attitude: Positive, proactive, and passionate about driving change. A “can-do” attitude and optimism for the future are a must.
