About the Role
Reporting to the Deputy CEO this is an exciting role supporting one of the UK’s leading social investors.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about the work we do, is organised and has excellent attention to detail. Key responsibilities
1. To work closely with the Grants, Investments, and Development, Insight and Advocacy teams to ensure that SIB is well-placed to respond proactively and also reactively to business development opportunities.
2. To support the coordination and project management of existing business development projects in community energy, heating and cooling, social investment fundraising and capacity building.
3. To ensure that information is managed effectively, calls logged and tasks delegated, progressed and completed, feedback collected and meetings scheduled and facilitated across the wider business development team, particularly in relation to the CEO, Deputy CEO and Director of Investments, ensuring their input is sought in a timely way to progress key decisions.
4. To manage a calendar of events, calls and contacts across key areas of business development.
5. To take a lead (where appropriate) and/or work alongside others to create and/or deliver presentations in new and existing business development.
6. To manage (where appropriate) and/or work alongside others maintain long-term relationships with both current and new clients and partners.
7. To monitor tendering opportunities and manage and update the new business development pipeline.
8. To implement new systems to improve the efficiency of the business development processes, alongside business systems.
9. To work with the financial team to build costing models for new proposals and programmes.
10. To coordinate high quality bid responses for invitations to tender from funders, investors and other key client groups, to ensure that these are well-written and professionally presented.
11. To coordinate and contribute to a clear strategy and objectives for the business development function at SIB.

Overview
To date, Global Dialogue’s finances has been overseen by an external accountancy firm. Over the last eighteen months, we have been working towards bringing our finance function in house. This role presents an exciting opportunity for an experienced accountant to take the reins and complete the development and roll out of our internal finance function.
The Head of Finance is a new role within the organisation that is both strategic and handson. In the first phase, the postholder will be required to roll up their sleeves and, with the support of Global Dialogue’s Finance Officer, get stuck into the detail of financial administration, including overseeing twice monthly pay runs, monthly and quarterly closes, and other day-to-day financial management tasks. Alongside this, the role will lead on bringing the finance function fully in house, eventually taking on full responsibility for the preparation of management and statutory accounts, cashflow and FX management, and budgeting and forecasting processes. This role will play a key coaching role for the Finance Officer, with a view to eventually delegating all bookkeeping tasks. The postholder will also be responsible for ensuring finance systems are innovative, robust and fit for purpose, and will be a business partner to our hosted programmes, providing advice on compliance and strategic matters.
Global Dialogue’s role as an international fiscal host means that we have a complex financial model, receive income from diverse streams and manage a high number of restricted funds. This brand new role is a 14 month contract specifically developed to deliver and roll out the event. The Role
FARA is looking to launch the charity’s new Individual Giving programme and is looking for an experienced fundraiser to lead the creation and launch of this.
It is an exciting time for the charity, which helps disadvantaged children, young people, adults and their families in Romania. Building on the initial income opportunities and strategy development work done by fundraising consultants, you will be joining a marketing function with ambitious plans to transform their communications. You will work alongside colleagues across the whole organisation to deliver this work and will have the support of the Director of Marketing and Communications, the CEO and additional support from Nova Fundraising who have already been working with the charity on a consultancy basis.
The Individual Giving Manager will be responsible for:
- Creating systems, structures, activities and messages designed to launch and grow individual giving with an ambition to take the charity’s fundraising income to six figures over three years.
- Using data to inform Individual Giving campaigns, creating powerful messaging to acquire, retain and upgrade donors through digital and offline methods.
- Brief and oversee the work of external agencies, as required, to support the recruitment and engagement of new supporters.
- Oversee and implement stewardship plans and supporter journeys for financial donors, who work alongside those of other supporters to ensure optimum message integration and upsell/cross-sell opportunities.
- Work with colleagues to generate and implement FARA’s email stewardship programme for individual givers.
- Plan, schedule and manage personalised communications with donors.
- Explore other fundraising areas, including events, community, legacy and major donors.
The Person
Are you entrepreneurial, innovative, personable, and collaborative, with experience developing and delivering fundraising programmes?
The role requires a candidate with a strong background in building relationships and identifying and developing new fundraising messages, campaigns and activities from scratch.
This is not a case of picking up a mature programme and running with it (although the organisation does have a small baseline of donors who have been giving for many years). The opportunity is all about creating, testing and learning – to diversify income sources at FARA, utilising the extensive network of supporters it has gained through its 40 charity shops across London.
You will need to be proficient in digital platforms, with experience in building a digital-focused approach to supporter acquisition and donor development. You will play a crucial role in nurturing relationships with individual supporters to make a difference to the lives of disadvantaged children, young people and adults in Romania.
The post-holder will have previous experience in fundraising, ideally experience specifically within IG, however this is not essential and we will consider candidates looking to transition into a new area of fundraising. You will need experience of developing creative fundraising programmes and be excited by the prospect of pursuing new opportunities for the organisation by engaging with existing supporters—many of whom might only have ‘gifted’ the charity via donations of pre-loved clothes and other items to FARA shops.

WaterAid UK Internal Communications and Engagement Partner
Contract: Permanent, Part Time (3 or 4 days per week)
Location: The role can be based in the UK or one of the following WaterAid Country Programmes - Nigeria, Kenya, or South Africa (Pretoria), subject to right-to-work eligibility in the respective countries.

About the Team:
This role reports into the WaterAid UK People Director, with a dotted line into the Global Internal Communications and Engagement Lead. As our strategic and creative WaterAid UK Internal Communications and Engagement Partner, you will play a crucial role in the newly formed WaterAid UK People Team. The WaterAid UK People Team supports the whole of WaterAid UK - this includes staff in the UK office, UK country programmes and regional offices.
About the Role:
You will play a vital role in ensuring our internal communications inspire and inform WaterAid UK staff, both within the UK and across Africa and South Asia. Your focus will be to foster a sense of engagement, inclusion, and connection amongst staff - helping them feel linked to each other, the global organisation, and our shared purpose. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute to creating a positive and fulfilling employee experience for all WaterAid UK staff.
In this role, you will serve as a strategic business partner and trusted advisor to key senior leaders in WaterAid UK, including the Chief Executive for WaterAid UK. You will provide guidance and coaching, working closely with them to craft internal communications that foster trust and enhance employee engagement across the organisation.
You'll also:
- Create engaging content relevant for WaterAid UK staff, including news stories for WaterAid's intranet, videos, visual assets etc.
- Provide counsel and deliver informative, accurate and sensitive internal communications in the event of a crisis impacting WaterAid UK.
- Manage the WaterAid UK webinar and events calendar
- Partner with the WaterAid UK People Director on follow-up and support to WaterAid UK on WaterAid's annual employee engagement surveys.
- Lead on the engagement approach for WaterAid UK Alumni
- Project lead any internal communications and engagement projects for WaterAid UK, including the WaterAid UK long service recognition awards.
- Proactively maintain expert knowledge about latest trends in internal communication and employee engagement and use this to support the creation of effective, inclusive and impactful internal communications for WaterAid UK
About You:

- Proven experience of providing strategic internal communications support to senior leaders
- Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to build collaborative and trusting relationships with a wide variety of contacts across WaterAid UK.
- Expert knowledge and experience of internal communications and employee engagement approaches and practice
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with accuracy and keen attention to detail, with strengths in storytelling and the ability to create high quality, sometimes sensitive, communications to a diverse range and level of stakeholders

In this exciting role, you will be responsible shaping and delivering Bonsucro´s communications strategy and overseeing the day-to-day management of a small communications function. A crucial part of this role is to ensure that colleagues, the Bonsucro board and external stakeholders are provided with tools and resources to confidently and effectively communicate about the organisation and its mission.
Bonsucro is the global sustainability platform and standard for sugarcane. Our purpose is to collectively accelerate the sustainable production and uses of sugarcane. We work with people and organisations across the sugarcane supply chain, including small scale farmers and some of the world’s biggest brands.
Climate change, human rights, farmer livelihoods, women’s empowerment, pesticide reduction, and water use are some of the issues that Bonsucro works on. As our Communications and Events Manager you will be expected to create narratives on these issues and link this to Bonsucro’s work on standards and certification, market development and collective action.
We are looking for someone with strong experience in strategy, planning and delivery of communications and events in a comparable organisation. You are versatile and stakeholder-oriented and comfortable working in a busy environment with multiple concurrent priorities, deadlines and activities. Your strength lies in creating compelling content and results-driven campaigns that supports the achievement of higher-level strategic goals. You bring a track record of turning very technical and complex information into compelling content and have some insight into agricultural production systems and/or Bonsucro’s countries of operation outside of the UK.
Key responsibilities
Strategy and delivery
- Develop and execute effective communications strategies to continuously strengthen Bonsucro’s profile, reputation and, as a result, to attract new members and partners
- Develop and manage effective communications tools, channels and partnership with media service providers, to deliver on the agreed communications strategy.
- Develop and implement monitoring processes to assess the effectiveness of Bonsucro’s communications strategies, outputs and channels in order to identify areas for continuous improvement.
- Line manage the Communications and Events Coordinator to ensure delivery against plans, timelines and quality work and personal development and growth
- Develop and tailor to stakeholder needs and interest a series of events to contribute to effective member engagement and strengthen Bonsucro’s profile as a convening actor.
- Develop and deliver the Annual Operational Plan for the Communications and Events function in line with organisational quality standards, adapting to changing context and needs where relevant.
Messaging and content
- Tailor Bonsucro’s key messages to targeted audiences and communications (e.g. articles, press releases and statements) in various languages as needed to ensure consistency of communications across channels, regions and media.
- Develop compelling sustainability ‘impact’ stories from regions and projects and on specific sustainability issues to promote Bonsucro’s impact.
Branding and stakeholder guidance
- Advise and build the capacity of other functional teams on how to effectively communicate about Bonsucro, making them aware of key messages and channels to use to increase the impact of Bonsucro’s communications.
- Advise internal and external stakeholders on adherence to brand guidelines to ensure consistency and appropriateness of use.
- Coordinate and monitor services delivered by sub-contractors
- Act as a representative of the company, where relevant, with both internal and external stakeholders.
Channels, reports and events
- Maintain and optimise an effective public facing website and social media presence to continuously strengthen Bonsucro’s external profile and community building.
- Oversee logistics, planning and delivery of key Bonsucro’s events, in particular Bonsucro Global Week.
- Continuously improve and evolve Bonsucro’s external reports (e.g. Outcome report, Annual report etc) to ensure clarity of layout and language and strengthen them as tools to increase Bonsucro’s profile and value back to members.
- Regularly report on operational progress updates to the Director of Engagement and Markets and other teams to identify areas of strengths and continuous improvement.
- Identify, track and monitor appropriate KPIs that assess the effectiveness of the communications strategies and plans and which inform decision-making.
Person Specification
Essential criteria
- Significant prior experience in development and implementation of communications strategies and a full range of media services, ideally in a global context
- Strong technical acumen in relation to all aspects of communications and events delivery
- Previous line-management experience and experience in managing moderate budgets
- Significant experience in writing, editing and publishing compelling content
- Proven ability to translate complex information into engaging campaigns and stories
- Excellent editing and proofreading skills for a range of media (online and print), including the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and simply.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal, written and visual
- Strong time/process management skills and ability to establish priorities and work to deadlines
- High level of communications IT proficiency, covering a range of tools and applications
- Knowledge of and experience in working professionally with online tools and social media
