As Senior Fundraising Officer (Corporate Partnerships), you will:

• Identify and develop potential new business relationships and funding opportunities for YMCA England & Wales, including developing compelling new fundraising propositions and staying abreast of emerging areas of interest for businesses and innovation within the corporate charity partnerships space.
• Manage and grow YMCA’s portfolio of Events Sponsors to maximise sponsorship income and support the growth of YMCA Events.
• Support the account management of high value partnerships.
• Lead or support cross-team projects, campaigns or events that support the Corporate Partnerships and/or Fundraising strategy.

The successful candidate will be commercially aware, a great communicator (verbal and written) with strong interpersonal skills and have a demonstrable track record of working with both internal and external stakeholders to drive the success of projects and partnerships.

Fundraising at YMCA England & Wales has three pillars:

• Fundraising for distribution through initiatives such as our RoomSponsor programme
• Fundraise to support YMCAs and fund our policy, campaign and research work, to lobby government and change the lives of young people
• Facilitate YMCAs to raise funds themselves by providing assets, propositions and advice

We run as a federation with 80+ local YMCAs working independently to support young people to belong, contribute and thrive in their communities, collectively supporting more than 375,000 young people each year.

Our work spans Housing, Family & Youth Work, Health & Wellbeing, Support & Advice and Training & Education, and we are the largest provider of safe, supported accommodation for young people in England and Wales, providing a home for more than 20,000 people experiencing homelessness each year.

Location : Based in Chingford (but with reimbursed travel to other boroughs for pick-ups, you may also be required to visit our other sites for training and development as needed)

Who will I be changing the lives of?

All of our learners are aged between 16-25 years, have some level of additional need and as a result have an Educational, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).  Some of the most common areas of need that our learners experience are Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH), Autism (ASC), ADHD although we work with learners with a much broader range of needs.

Main Responsibilities

• To be responsible for a caseload of learners with EHCP's aged 16-25 years
• To act as the main point of contact for staff and services with SEND related queries
• To arrange and carry out Annual Reviews and PEP’s as well as completion and submission of all relevant paperwork, acting as chair for these meetings when required
• To assist the Change Leader with the transition process for learners starting at Really NEET as well as those learners leaving Really NEET
• Responsible for over-seeing the progression of learners on completion of the course
• Promote Inclusion best practice and contribute to the aims and ethos of the college

About this key role

Our successful candidate will provide a client-led holistic support service that responds to each individual’s needs, including supporting with housing, finances, benefits work and debt advice, parenting, health, ETE and criminal justice and appearing in court.  You will also be expected to complete initial needs assessments with your clients and support them to develop individual support plans, which you will regularly review to assess progress, working collaboratively to ensure each client’s needs are met.

We will also count on you to design and develop new sessions and materials and to develop and maintain strong relationships with partner agencies, including community-based services such as police, Probation, children’s services, and other voluntary sector organisations, ensuring appropriate information is shared, supported referrals are made and avoiding duplication of support.  Closing cases efficiently and positively, identifying a referral route for young people that will identify agencies that can be used for ongoing support, is also a key element of this role.

• Experience in working as part of a multi-agency team in a high intensity environment 
• Experience of using support plans, to enable people to successfully access support services

• Knowledge of relevant services for young people and families in the service provision area  
• Excellent IT, prioritisation, interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written

About the role

We are seeking a professional, caring and sensitive Behaviour Analyst or Positive Behaviour Practitioner to join our committed Therapy Team. Following the therapeutic model of positive behaviour, you will work as an autonomous practitioner to support our children, learners and residents with epilepsy and complex learning difficulties across St Elizabeth’s.

This rewarding role will see you be responsible for the formulation of individual behaviour support plans, ensuring your caseload is effectively managed at all times. You will liaise closely with families and other professionals involved in the persons care and support, therefore excellent communication skills are a must. You will work closely with the wider MDT, to ensure a holistic and high quality approach is adopted.

To be considered for this position, you must have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional qualification but also experience of working with young people with varying degrees of learning disabilities and who have complex diagnosis.

The Junction is an out of hours service, open 365 evenings a year, to support and assist individuals experiencing a mental health concern. The aim is to alleviate the need for people in the Swindon locality to access A&E acute mental health services and primary care GP services unnecessarily by managing the presenting symptoms/mental health crisis along with the triggers and context for that crisis. 

As a Wellbeing Practitioner, you will be providing a preventative, person centred approach to people accessing the service who may be experiencing a mental health crisis.

The service is open from 4PM-11PM, 365 days a year so this position will include some weekends.

Would you like to be part of an exciting collaboration that aims to empower young women and girls aged 16–25 years, helping them to build their confidence and self-esteem?

Woman’s Trust are part of the Maia & Lift project, funded by the London Violence and Reduction Unit to do just that. Join us to provide therapeutic and mental health support to young women and girls, helping to improve the support that is out there for them.

We are looking for a Young Women & Girls Groupworker to deliver psycho-educational workshops to young women and girls, including engagement with service users prior to and, at times, following the workshops and providing information and support to enable increased engagement in the project. You will also offer a short-term counselling service for clients on the Woman’s Trust counselling waiting list following a person-centred approach, as well as the provision of some initial assessments.

This is a part-time (21 hours per week), fixed-term contract for 18 months starting from September 2024, subject to availability of funding and review.

The role 

National Energy Action (NEA) has recently secured funding to develop a new pilot project that aims to help local people reduce their heating bills, create healthier homes, and be ready for the transition to net zero.  Over two years, a local retrofit hub will be established in three different locations, each with two members of staff who will help build trust, provide guidance and support, harness opportunities, and empower local people to achieve and benefit from change.  The key will be to work at the heart of the community to encourage / support / enable householders to take up existing grants for energy efficiency measures but in addition, practical (funded) assistance will be available to enable retrofit works and to offer additional non-funded support as necessary.

The Local Retrofit Co-ordination Officer will be one of two staff based in, and working to establish, a new local retrofit hub in Sheffield. We are also recruiting for a Local Retrofit Support Officer in the same location (job ref R71). The Local Retrofit Co-ordination Officer will carry out development work to understand the make-up of the local area, the housing stock, existing networks and strategies and to identify gaps in provision.  They will be responsible for identifying opportunities for significant schemes such as ECO to be implemented on a larger scale and to build partnerships with organisations working locally where they can add to the retrofit experience.  Through the action taking place in the community, the Local Retrofit Co-ordination Officer will build local capacity with installers and supply chains to deliver energy retrofit measures in a supportive environment. They will also co-ordinate or deliver advice and events in the community to householders and/or others to raise awareness of retrofit practice and technologies as well as to inform and de-mystify.  Impeccable customer service will be at the heart of all community engagement. 

The Local Retrofit Co-ordination Officer will work alongside other NEA departments to share experiences and learnings and to assist with the progression of other elements of the project. They will be expected to identify local/regional funding opportunities and assist NEA’s Fundraising and Partnerships team to produce proposals where applicable.

NEA’s Local Retrofit Co-ordination Officer role sits in the Directorate of Homes and will report to the Community Retrofit Project Manager. 

What you will need to succeed 

Local Retrofit Co-ordination Officers will have experience working in energy retrofit, community development and regeneration or housing sectors.  They will also be an excellent communicator with experience and understanding of how to effectively address the energy needs of low income, vulnerable or disadvantaged householders – with the desire to make a positive difference to people’s lives.

Post holders must be resident within the UK and be able to provide their Right to Work in the UK.

We are offering:  

• £32,641 to £37,304 per annum (Scale SO1 - SO2, Points 23 – 28). New appointments will usually begin at the starting point of the scale.

Grandmentors

Grandmentors is an innovative volunteering project where older volunteers (aged 50+) use their lifetime of skills and experience to support and mentor vulnerable young people leaving the care system. These young people often need a guiding hand and role model to support them to find work, continue their education or begin training – ultimately giving them the skills and self-belief to lead successful and independent lives.

Volunteers meet with a young person regularly to boost their confidence and work towards goals, which are unique to each young person

Role Purpose

To develop and deliver all aspects of our Grandmentors project across London, ensuring it achieves its aims, objectives, outcomes, and targets. The post holder will work closely with the Virtual College and Leaving Care teams within London Borough Councils and local volunteers to ensure that we improve and empower the lives of care leavers (aged 16-25) through the unique power of inter-generational mentoring.

Key Duties Responsibilities

· To effectively deliver the service to ensure the project meets its agreed targets and millstones.
