What is the overall purpose of the role?
We are looking to appoint a Support Youth Worker to help develop and deliver an innovative and progressive youth programme for our Girls Project, in a safe industrious and supportive environment working primarily with young girls from diverse communities.
The Girls only group (targeting ages 11-19 years) will promote life skills, well-being and female empowerment. Helping girls move forward through the next stage of their lives to become the women who will shape their community in the future. The Girls group will support, provide advice, mentoring and signposting to additional support services.
Responsibilities:
● Support with the research, planning and delivery of an innovative and progressive programme of youth activities in collaboration with young people and the lead worker.
● Carry out financial and administrative procedures related to the Girls Project.
● Support the promotion of the Girls Project including collating and creating content to be used for online and offline marketing and advertising (hard copy, posters, social media posts etc).
● Record all attendances (registers) for all sessions and populate data required for reporting purposes in a timely manner.
● Coordinate, deliver, host or co-host and oversee the delivery of Girls Project sessions (one-to-ones or groups), trips and residential, that take place on-site and off-site, face to face or online.
● Liaise and supervise with facilitators or external providers directly concerning the delivery of the Girls Project i.e including agreements, risk assessments, SLA’s and Code of Conduct.
● Ensure that children and young people are involved in contributing to the development of the Girls Project via consultations and evaluations.
● Recruit young people through networking and promoting to external organisations and agencies, and beyond.
● Manage referrals to and from the project.
● Assist in recruiting external facilitators required for the delivery of the Girls Project.
● maximise the opportunities for the project.
● Keep an eye out for potential funding opportunities to expand the project scope further
● Any other duties appropriate to the post as directed by YAA

About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced and commercially astute retail leader to develop and execute a retail strategy that drives sales and profit growth whilst building a strong and collaborative culture and demonstrating a passion for outstanding customer experience. Working to the Director of Income Generation, you will be expected to lead, inspire and motivate teams to deliver excellence across all aspects of our retail business and ensure effective communication, support and cross-departmental working between the Hospice, shops and wider income generation teams.
About You
- An experienced retail leader who has worked at a senior leadership level in a commercial and/or charity retail environment
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of the retail multi-site, small shop environment
- Experience in developing and executing strategies and budgets to deliver growth
- A proven track record in motivating, inspiring and building empowered teams
- A commercial mindset with the ability to spot opportunities for growth
- Proven people leadership skills and abilities including shaping and influencing teams, performance management and coaching/mentorship
- Strong financial skills with the ability to analyse and interpret management accounts, sales and KPI information
- Resilience, patience and persistence especially when implementing change.

About the team
The Income Generation Directorate at Shelter comprises of the five departments, delivering a mature fundraising programme that has seen continuous year on year diversity and growth. The directorate generates over £48m gross income each year, of which a high percentage is unrestricted.

About Strength & Stem
Strength & Stem is a charity and social enterprise that uses floristry to empower female modern slavery survivors. We want to see female survivors of modern slavery and human trafficking restored from their trauma, empowered for the future, and able to sustain a good quality of life. We achieve our vision by offering an evidence-based, holistic programme. It incorporates tailored skills training (including vocational floristry, prevocational and wellbeing skills training), work experience, mentorship, and a supportive community. We run a nine-month programme each year, as well as alumni events and social cafes. The skills and experiences survivors gain through our programme create a lasting difference for them and their families through economic independence, strengthened wellbeing and increased community.
The charity is growing its programme delivery team by recruiting a second Progress Facilitator. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to join a small, ambitious team, continually ensuring that our services are survivor-centred and have an impact positively disproportionate to the organisations’ age and stage of development.
Role Summary
The Progress Facilitator will provide specialist support to participants throughout all aspects of the core Strength & Stem programme. Under the supervision of the Programme Director, the Progress Facilitator will have responsibility for the progression, support, and safeguarding of our programme participants. Alongside the programme delivery team, you will ensure every participant has a safe and positive overall programme experience. This role will involve working directly with survivors, as well as a wide range of stakeholders from supporting organisations to florists, volunteers, and the programme delivery team.
Terms

- Responsible to: Interim Programme Director
- Based: This is a hybrid role. You will be required to attend all programme related activities and facilitate work experience placements in person. There may be occasions where evenings or weekends are required but these are not often. You may also need to be available in London for ad-hoc meetings that require in person attendance.

We are looking for a Head of Fundraising to join our team.
The Head of Fundraising will lead our income generation strategy to ensure The Girls’ Network can continue empowering young women from the least advantaged backgrounds. This role will drive the development and stewardship of high-value partnerships, oversee strategic growth in fundraising, and contribute to the charity’s long-term sustainability.
Key roles and responsibilities
Fundraising
· Develop and implement a fundraising strategy to define and meet annual income targets from corporate partners, Trusts & Foundations, individuals and third party events, identifying opportunities for growth
· Identify, steward and secure high value relationships with corporate partners, Trusts & Foundations and major donors to achieve and exceed own targets, working with the support of the CEO, as required
· Develop compelling propositions to secure funding and wider support from corporate partners, working with the Head of Programmes and Ambassador Community Lead to ensure operational alignment
· Develop and submit funding bids for high value Trusts & Foundations in support of operational plans and agreed budgets
· Identify and steward major donors to meet future targets, working with the support of the CEO, as required
· Develop new activities to increase income from individuals e.g. proprietary campaigns, regular donors, digital fundraising and events, working with external suppliers within available budget
· Ensure regular review and update of case for support to align with external and internal developments.
· Ensure compliance with organisational policies and fundraising regulations working with Head of Finance & Operations, CEO, Trustees and external support, as required.
Leadership
· Provide strategic leadership and direction to Fundraising, ensuring the strategy aligns with our wider goals, delivering high-impact fundraising campaigns and driving long term sustainability.
· Take an active role in the Senior Leadership Team (with CEO, Head of Programmes, Head of Finance & Operations) to ensure efficient management of the charity, developing annual operational plans and budgets, monitoring performance and risk against quarterly targets and attending quarterly Board meetings.
· Work closely with the Head of Programmes to identify and assess new partnership opportunities to develop the strategy and success of the charity.
· Work closely with Head of Finance & Operations on data migration to enable effective fundraising and ensure a high quality supporter experience.
· Develop understanding of policy and issues affecting our mentees and the impact and implications for The Girls’ Network programmes and funders.
· Build productive internal and external relationships, role-modelling our values.
· Act as Ambassador for TGN.
Reporting
· Report quarterly to the CEO and Board of Trustees on KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and KRIs (Key Risk Indicators) including progress against income targets and value of pipeline, working with the Head of Finance and Operations to align management information
· Ensure restricted grant funding information is shared with the Head of Finance and Operations to enable tracking and with the Monitoring, Evaluation Research and Learning Manager to enable programme data reporting
Staff Management
· Ensure the Fundraising team are well supported to perform their roles, meeting virtually and in person on regular basis, conducting one-to-ones, annual appraisals and personal development plans to support learning.
· Lead and support the Fundraising Manager and Partnerships Manager to achieve their targets from corporate partners and Trusts & Foundations, tracking performance through quarterly reports, including pipeline values
· Work closely with Communications Manager to ensure fundraising opportunities and campaigns are coordinated in a timely fashion to the correct audiences.
· Handle administrative duties such as recruitment, training, performance management seeking support from HR as required
· Ensure direct reports are engaged and motivated and working to a high standard
· Provide appropriate information and guidance to direct reports on a timely basis

Fundraising expertise
· Significant experience (5+ years) gained in senior fundraising and within the not for profit sector
· Significant experience in developing effective fundraising and communications strategies to meet organisational goals, leading teams to achieve success
· Proven experience overseeing a Trusts & Foundations programme, including pipeline and prospect management to meet multi-year targets
· Excellent written skills with the ability to produce a concise, compelling and creative case for support

Job Description
The purpose of this role is to raise LMK’s profile and to engage LMK’s stakeholders in our services, campaigns and fundraising efforts by delivering impactful content across all of our online and offline communication channels in alignment with our vision, mission and strategic objectives. Key Responsibilities
Marketing & Brand
- Co-develop LMK’s marketing strategy, leveraging key stakeholder input and action plans to support it
- Co-ownership of the execution of all marketing activities and materials, ensuring they reflect the brand and the values of the charity
- Lead the planning and execution of PR and media campaigns, leveraging media contacts, ensuring LMK has engaging media materials and our spokespeople are fully prepared to maximise media opportunities

What could my day look like?
The Education Worker role is a frontline, fast-paced and rewarding role where no two weeks will look the same. A typical day will have different activities, possibly spread between the IntoUniversity centre, partner schools and the offices of a corporate partner.
In the morning, you might be setting off with resources to run a workshop for sixth-form students in their secondary school. In the afternoon you may be setting up the classroom ahead of running Primary Academic Support for young people in your IntoUniversity centre. On other days, you may be travelling to a corporate partner to run a business simulation workshop for 15 year-olds or leading a group of final year primary school students on a campus visit for their graduation.
As an Education Worker, you’ll always be delivering the programme as part of your centre team, which means that any delivery is always a team effort.

About the role
To develop and deliver all aspects of our Grandmentors project across London, with particular focus on Brent borough, ensuring it achieves its aims, objectives, outcomes, and targets. The post holder will work closely with the Leaving Care team within Brent Borough Council and local volunteers to ensure that we improve and empower the lives of care leavers (aged 16-25) through the unique power of inter-generational mentoring.
Key Duties Responsibilities
- To hit the ground running to effectively deliver the service to ensure the project meets its agreed targets and milestones.
- Maintain effective relationships with stakeholders and local authority staff at a day-to day level.
