St Martin-in-the-Fields Charity exists so that everyone has a safe place to call home, providing emergency financial help that can transform a person’s circumstances within days. The Charity also funds a range of projects across the UK, providing innovative services within healthcare, legal advice and mental health support to facilitate a long-term transition out of homelessness.  The Charity is at a pivotal stage in their development, building on the hugely successful BBC Radio 4 Appeal that will enter its 100th Anniversary in 2026, diversifying income streams to create year-round opportunities to donate and support their diverse programmes. 
 
The Trust & Foundations Development Manager will play a key role in enabling the optimisation of the Charity’s net income from UK and global Trusts, Foundations and Lottery funding sources. This will enable the funding of the Charity’s key projects and programmes in the lead up to and beyond the 100th anniversary of the BBC Radio 4 Appeal in 2026, directly impacting the lives of those at risk of and experiencing homelessness. 
The post holder will also ensure the highest quality of stewardship and donor care are maintained to drive committed partnerships. Key duties include: 

• Work with the Head of Leadership Giving to further develop the Charity’s Trust and Foundations fundraising strategy, maximising sustainable net income from both general and restricted Trust and Foundation funding sources, and capitalising on opportunities afforded by the 100th anniversary of the BBC Radio 4 Christmas Appeal in 2026. 

• Acquire an excellent knowledge and understanding of the Charity’s values and programmes, working collaboratively across the Charity to create bespoke donor materials and cases for support that interest, engage and motivate to give. 

• Develop a pipeline of new funding opportunities from both UK and global Trusts and Foundations, whilst developing relationships with existing funders. 

• Take a lead role in the management of successful grant applications to ensure that reports to funders are delivered in a timely and effective manner, reviewing narrative and financial reports to ensure donor requirements have been met, and consulting with and ensuring input from relevant technical and financial staff. 

• Collaborating with the Head of Leadership Giving to ensure that resources and budgets are managed effectively. 

 
We’re looking for the following skills and experience for this role: 
  

• Substantial experience of identifying, negotiating and securing significant new partnerships from large scale Trusts and Foundations based in the UK and globally. 

• Excellent track record of developing existing Trust and Foundation partnerships through excellent account management techniques. 

• Experience of developing compelling audience focused cases for support to drive engagement and long-term value from Trusts & Foundations, Lottery and where appropriate, Institutional funding sources. 

• Proven experience working with senior volunteers, influencers or advisers to achieve Trust and Foundation fundraising success either in peer-led fundraising (such as development boards) or peer-peer fundraising (such as giving networks) or by working in partnership with senior stakeholders on individual approaches. 

• Experience of deploying prospect research to support the development of relationships with target trust and foundation funding sources. 

• Interest and/or understanding of the issue of UK homelessness and the grant funding landscape in relation to those organisations and NGOs seeking to impact upon it.

About the role
The NextGen Community Producer will play an integral role at Youth Music shaping and developing our support for young adults, particularly helping them to close the gap between learning and earning in music.

You’ll join us at an exciting time as we look to scale up and enhance our community engagement efforts. Building on the foundations established in phase 1 between 2021-2024, your focus will be on increasing participation, and fostering a more cohesive and active community. Your innovative strategies and passion for supporting young creatives will be key to driving deeper connections among members, and creating a compelling offer for the community.

Day-to-day you’ll be programming national events, workshops and networking opportunities; brokering progression opportunities though Youth Music’s industry partners, and recruiting to paid freelance creative roles. Key responsibilities
Programme Development

• Act as the day-to-day lead and point of contact for the Youth Music NextGen Community, representing their voice internally and externally.
• Devise and implement a clear strategy for the continued growth and development of the NextGen Community, with support from the Engagement team.
• Deliver impactful programmes of activities and support that will progress young people into creative careers, broaden their networks, increase their confidence and create access to new opportunities.
• Develop and grow the NextGen Community brand and visual identity, ensuring a clear offer and user journey for those taking part in Youth Music funded projects, and other potential new members.
• Increase the role the community plays in designing and delivering the NextGen programme, aligning with Youth Music’s wider aims and values around youth voice.

Events

• Work with the events team to develop, grow and manage our programme of regular NextGen Community events across the country to bring the community together and showcase their talent.
• Develop and manage our programme of events in London in partnership with Young Guns Network (YGN), taking place in the offices of our music industry partners.
• Grow attendance at all NextGen events, working with our Comms and Marketing team to increase awareness and build the profile of the event series.

Partnerships

• Build and leverage relationships with partners and networks to enhance the offer for the NextGen Community (such as events, performance opportunities, workshops, studio time, content creation, and exclusive offers etc).
• Manage relationships with key corporate partners (such as Levi’s) to support delivery of the NextGen Community activities.
• Build and maintain a pipeline of potential partners to approach, and support wider fundraising efforts within the team.

Recruitment

• Lead on NextGen recruitment for NextGen Community Events and the Youth Music Awards, with support from the Engagement Coordinator. e.g. Create briefs for NextGen roles and be their main point of contact.
• Support recruitment for any other Youth Music or partner opportunities created for the NextGen Community. (e.g. gigs, festivals, activations, focus groups, etc).
• Develop the NextGen talent pool, finding new ways to promote and manage this.
• Create and source relevant national music-related opportunities for Youth Music’s ‘opportunities board’.

NextGen Fund

• Support the marketing and promotion of the NextGen Fund.
• Contribute and support NextGen Fund decision panels.
• Work with our Comms team to ensure that content created through the NextGen Fund is showcased on Youth Music’s social and digital channels. E.g. Sound of the Next Generation playlist.

Demonstrate Impact

• Work with the Insights Team to listen and act on feedback from the NextGen Community. This will be via monitoring, research and consultation that informs the ongoing development and design of the NextGen offer.
• Prepare and present reports on the plans, activities and impact of NextGen Community.
• Share our learning internally and externally at panels, conferences, and through written pieces.

Systems and processes

• Capture NextGen membership on Salesforce so that we have a clear understanding of who is in our community.
• Work with the Database Administrator to improve our systems, processes and user journeys.
• Work with the Comms and Marketing team to ensure the Youth Music website represents and serves the needs of the NextGen Community.

Other

• Ensure all activities are delivered in line with Youth Music’s values with inclusion, diversity, equity and accessibility at their core.

The Communications and Engagement Business Manager is there to provide project and business management support to enable the Communications and Engagement leadership team to focus on progressing the work of the business area and leading the wider team. Key Resposibilities

We are now looking for a Senior Philanthropy Manager to join us on a permanent basis, working 28-35 hours per week.

The Role

As our Senior Philanthropy Manager, you will build and sustain our major gifts programme, driving our income stream and ensuring our work can continue.

Specifically, you will secure long-term relationships with high net-worth donors, capitalising on environmental philanthropy.

Reporting to the Director of Fundraising and Development, you will facilitate the development of the major gifts programme, working collaboratively to develop and deliver a major gifts strategy to generate up to six-figure gifts.

You will build a prospect pipeline of donors, develop compelling, well-defined cases for support, and undertake long-term, innovative and impactful projects and themed areas of work.

Additionally, you will:

- Create bespoke stewardship plans for all current supporters
- Develop a calendar of engagement opportunities and stewardship events
- Build relationships which support peer-to-peer fundraising
- Lead on implementing the operational plan for major gifts
- Provide leadership and direction to the major gifts programme

About You

To be considered as a Senior Philanthropy Manager, you will need:

- Experience of securing five- and six-figure gifts from high net-worth individuals
- Experience of prospect research
- Experience of major gift fundraising
- Experience of developing bespoke funding proposals and reports

Summary of role

Remuneration Package: This role is Band C with a salary range of £33,500 - £43,000. Salary upon appointment will be commensurate with experience and in line with team members in equivalent roles.

As a Technical Specialist, you will focus on providing research and technical support on GBV across a number of SDDirect’s projects. Your role will involve providing research for our two helpdesks, including the Ending Violence against Women and Children Helpdesk (for UK government staff) and GBV AoR Helpdesk (for humanitarian actors). You could also be involved in providing support to knowledge products and guidance material, policy and programme guidance, specialist research, and monitoring and evaluation of GBV programmes.

Strategy, vision and impact [25%]

• Be at the forefront of leading Resurgo’s ‘big picture’ vision of a transformed society, empowering churches to transform young lives
• Build and implement a strategy for developing relationships with local referral agencies to ensure effective recruitment of young people onto the Spear programme
• Oversee the reporting of the Centre outcomes and ensure the Spear Programme is delivered in line with agreed targets

Leadership, line management and training [25%]

• Lead your team with confidence; spurring them on in Resurgo’s mission; invest in a team culture of excellence, belonging and fun
• Manage and develop the Lead Coach and Graduate Coach, using a coaching approach to invest in their growth and development. This includes weekly 1:1s, performance reviews and regular feedback
• Equip your team to drive change through a data informed approach, and keep them accountable to agreed targets for the Spear Programme

Relationship management [20%]

• Manage great relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including referrers, local businesses, donors, and your Board of Trustees
• Embed into your local church; working closely with your Spear Trustees and congregation, and actively participating in their mission and events
• Partner with the Spear Trustees and assist in implementing their funding strategy by helping to build corporate and donor relationships. For example, by hosting prospective donors in the Training Room

Delivery of the Spear Programme [20%]

• Support group and 1-1 coaching with numerous 16-24-year-olds: equipping them with practical work-ready skills and resilient mindsets
• Provide guidance to the Lead Coach in the training room when dealing with behavioural and safeguarding situations and upskill coaches with consistent coaching feedback
• Use a coaching approach to engage young people in challenging conversations that will enable them to take responsibility and over significant barriers to employment

Operations [10%]

• Liaise with relevant staff regarding site operations and work to resolve any issues as soon as possible, ensuring the office and training room are safe and tidy working spaces in line with health and safety policies

About this key role

As a valued and integral part of the Fundraising and Communications team, our successful candidate will lead a small sub-team to generate at least £500,000 income each year, including the direct line management of a Senior Fundraising Officer, who you will support to line manage the Fundraising Assistant.  We will count on you to implement effective processes and procedures across the fundraising and collaborating teams, manage and refine processes for recordkeeping and devise, maintain and update our Fundraising Handbook.

You will also be expected to manage the development and implementation of our Individual Giving Strategy and our Individual Giving income stream through single and regular giving appeals, as well as managing a portfolio of challenge events nationally that provides excellent stewardship for a range of participants. Developing and designing high-quality applications, presentations, and pitches to secure five-, six- and seven figure funding opportunities from Trusts & Foundations, Community Partners and High Net Worth Individuals is a key element of this role, as is providing excellent stewardship to existing donors.
